City officials issued an utterly false statement that the "wife of a known terrorist" was at Columbia. This refers to peace activist Nahla Al-Najjar, wife of professor Sami Al-Arian (guilt by association?). She left campus last week. Sami Al-Arian was never actually charged with terrorism but entered a plea for contributing services to Palestinian Islamic Jihad to secure his freedom from additional state persecution. Amnesty International called the punishment for simple phone calls (none of which discussed terrorism or resistance) "gratuitously punitive." Even the FBI's wiretap of 20,000 hours of dialogue and 472,000 calls could not convince a jury of his guilt.
After millions of people had already seen City Hall's statement on CBS, Twitter, and right-wing news sources, they admitted it wasn't true - but only after the NYPD removed, arrested, and assaulted dozens of protesters from campus.

Now I we may not know much about Madeline Carver but she 100% would throw rocks at her husband for this
I don't know anything about Martha Milton but I know she wouldn't stand for this bullshit
#little hope#the dark pictures anthology#Her favourite bible verse is the one about “he without sin shall throw the first stone”#Like Carver. I know you're mad that your wife got kidnapped but you know damn well that she's against punitive justice#She wouldn't appreciate your decent into madness and will 2v1 you with Martha now#So yes it'd go against her beliefs to do so but this would be because it'd make her feel better

hades modern au wherein hades quits/takes early retirement from his job as a prison warden (his participation in the carceral system being one of the many factors that nearly destroyed his still-teetering marriage) and opens an escape room business with the gimmick of absolute ball-busting punitive difficulty
he then recruits his twentysomething son, who has been half-dragging his feet/half-honestly fucking up the criminology degree that hades insists on paying for, to be the head tester.
this is a job that zagreus would actually enjoy except that for some deranged reason known only to himself hades’ other pick for senior tester is zagreus’ childhood best friend, than, who has been pissed off at zagreus for going on five years now for reasons he does not feel obligated to directly explain. also, because you can’t spell “nepotism” without “several direct kicks to the figurative testicles”, the senior game master is zagreus’ ex-girlfriend.
meanwhile than’s brother, the receptionist (who answers the phone “Tartarus Puzzle Rooms, there is no escape, how can I help you?”), likes to watch the security camera so he can cheerfully taunt anyone who loses.
the custodian has an emotional support snake.
security consists of a heavily decorated war hero who spends most of his time standing in front of a closet trying not to have a flashback.
the guy who was ostensibly hired to do aesthetic design—music, prop-building, etc—refuses to work because he misses his ex-wife too much (and anyway his best work was always done with her collaboration, without her really he can’t do anything worthwhile, so why bother? the real question is why hades keeps signing this guy’s paychecks).
zagreus’ insane relatives (his uncle the governor; his other uncle the celebrity oceanographer; his large group of colorful cousins including but not limited to the historian/Go champion, the iron-livered party-boy philosopher, the Olympic archer/survivalist, the frightening violent weirdo, the agelessly hot actress who he’s pretty sure is hitting on him, and the guy with 10000 jobs) keep dropping by.
one of the other employees is a guy who used to be one of hades’ inmates. he has a pet rock—which he talks to—and he’s probably the nicest, sanest guy on staff.
one of the recurring parties is this ultra-rich pro athlete dipshit who seems to think it is his personal god-given duty to beat zagreus’s time in every room. he brings along his personal assistant/bodyguard most visits. the PA is significantly better at the puzzles than his boss is.
#hades game#hades supergiant#ill come up with other things for this as I progress through the game I’m sure

From 2007 - 2017, I worked in banking & mortgage. I went between multiple big-name banks & mortgage companies & what I saw there aged me a decade in a year. I used to get up and throw up right away from the stress. My wife and I reported illegal shit "anonymously," and were punitively transferred to shitty locations and then hounded out of our jobs. I saw how the sausage was made, and it was made with the flesh of the working class.
So I transferred to doing compliance, thinking that there at least I could protect people. I could make sure the laws were being followed and no one was being hurt.
Hah. No. They just fucking lie. I remember someone saying, "Hey, this is an improper amount you're withholding for escrow," and both of us realizing that management both knew that and were basically using escrow funds like a slush fund for running the company. We just kinda looked at each other after that meeting and went, "Who do we even report this to? Those were the people who'd be investigating this."*
I left finance in 2017, my body broken down, and my soul sick, to go make queer art bc I couldn't TAKE IT ANYMORE. I literally broke my body in that industry. I will never be able to work a 9-5 again. My body can't do it.
This song put me right back in the thick of it again. I want to scrub my skin until it bleeds, metaphorically speaking, and that is a compliment.
Fffffffuck.
* This is not an invitation for anyone to tell me who I should have reported things to ten years ago bc a) I've changed enough details of even that vague story that whatever you're about to say would be wrong; b) I'm not telling you what steps I actually took for a reason; and c) that's not the fucking point so let it go.

Everyone, and I mean you too, who votes for a wife having the right to raise her husband as she sees fit should at least give a like. My opinion and therefore my consistent action is, that when my whiny hubby if he behaves badly, an essential part of his punishment should always be canings on his bare bottom, in the case of a serious violation or if I was particularly annoyed with him, on several days in a row. In order to underpin the sustainability of his upbringing, I usually apply additional severe punitive measures.
I do not accept opposing opinions from men, I see them as cheeky, impudent rebelliousness. Addressed to women, they should finally exercise consistent strictness towards their men, because their education is never complete.

[The doorbell rings and Dirk warps on to the transportalizer right next to the front door because walking is for chumps, and also because he lives in a fuck off massive mansion that he and Jake decided it was a swell idea to live in at the tender age of 16.]
[He sees a glimpse of bleached blond hair and purple and instinctively goes to close the door despite knowing who the fuck it is because this is Dirk Strider, of course he's got the best home security of all the other Gods of Earth C. A foot comes between his half-hearted attempt and he lets up just as fast.] [Rose and Dirk stare at each other appraisingly for a moment. His gaze flits over to the shoddy bindle she's holding, then to car parked directly on top of the mailbox out front. It wasn't seeing any use due to the fact he lives in the middle of fucking nowhere, an ironic gesture more than anything, but because of that same fact, it would seem that Rose had uncaptchalogued the car there on purpose and just flew here.] DIRK: Who's car is that? ROSE: My wife kicked me out. DIRK: Okay. ROSE: You don't think I have a car? DIRK: I respect the fact you alchemized a car just for the banished husband shtick. ROSE: The seats came pre-stained with cigarette residue and burns all over. I thought about camping there for the night parked at a motel, but the energy was too depressing. ROSE: Thought maybe a drastic change of natural scenery be more fitting of an crisis. DIRK: Isn't the point of exile as a punitive measure that you are supposed to reflect on your actions? ROSE: They put Napoleon on ST. Helena, did they not? DIRK: Are you comparing my house to a remote island right now? ROSE: I wasn't, but perhaps there is a point to be made here about your choice in local. DIRK: Not a great way to ask someone for a favor. ROSE: ROSE: I- [He steps away from the door and turns around, expecting her to follow in. She does, hesitantly.] DIRK: Call her tomorrow, it's best to clear the air as soon as you can. ROSE: I wasn't expecting a therapy camp. [He shrugs, points down a hall when she's close enough.] DIRK: Take a left then the fourth door down should have a clean room. ROSE: What's in all the other doors? DIRK: Stuff. ROSE: Oh, I see. DIRK: I'm coming by tomorrow morning. ROSE: Highly unnecessary, I'll be leaving by noon. DIRK: Where to? ROSE: I fail to see how that is any of your concern. DIRK: Perhaps. [He doesn't say anything more, and she takes it as a cue for her to leave. Her steps stutter when he speaks again.] DIRK: Don't immediately expect people to not want you around as soon as they show frustration. ROSE: Wonderful, well I'll be sure to pass that fortune cookie tidbit to the next person... [She turns around to find he isn't there anymore, peeved that she wasn't able to get the last word in.] [The walk there is stuffed with random objects, like if a geek store barfed all it's merchandise stock into an 8 foot wide hallway. She has to shimmy past a bust of Spiderman's head on the way, but she makes it to a plain room and a bed with orange sheets.] [She tosses the stick to the ground, and unties the cloth to fetch the small photo book she didn't have an opportunity to use as a prop for. She pointedly does not flip through the pictures she has of Kanaya and captchalogues it for safe keeping.] [Against her better judgement, she checks her phone messages and it opens to her last text with Kanaya saying she's going out to cool off, her text responded to with a single thumbs up. She contemplates jumping out of the window before opening the new texts from Dirk.] TT: http:/goo.gl/WjfJ2 TT: Marked everything you would need on the floor plan. TT: What's the large obstructed section on the bottom right? TT: Horse statue. TT: Naturally. TT: I'll be at your room by 9 AM. TT: Le sign.

Something i find very interesting about the Horus Heresy is the general absence of female influences. The core characters are all male, and conduct themselves in typically masculine ways. Excepting the general absence of libido, (most of) the Primarchs are pure manliness.
I find this dynamic very interesting. Men behave differently towards each other when women aren't around to observe them. Sometimes this is positive (e.g. brotherly affection), but sometimes it's negative (e.g. resorting to violence as a means of conflict resolution). The same is roughly true of women when men aren't around, except that women exhibit different behaviours (e.g. cattiness rather than violence).
If you have mixed group of men and women, the two sides tend to temper each other. Men break up female conflicts, and women break up male conflicts. Likewise, the presence of men motivates women in unique ways, and the presence of women motivates men in equally unique ways. This motivation isn't always positive (e.g. a woman could spread malicious gossip about her romantic rival), but it can certainly be positive in many cases.
This isn't a hard rule, as everyone is different, but it's a tendency i've witnessed. Men and women affect each other just by being around each other. It's just human nature.
On this basis, then, the Horus Heresy is interesting because it essentially represents how men react when there aren't women around to temper them. Lots of ego clashes, lots of petty one-upmanship, lots of violence, and very little consideration given for anything other than dominance. Even though there are certainly respectable female characters present in 30k, many of whom influence the Astartes and Primarchs around them, they don't play any tangible role within the politics of the Legions, and there is no female equal to the Primarchs whom they would have reason to listen to. They are all "mortals", and therefore not of any great concern to most of them, even in the best of cases.
(For the record, i'm not arguing that masculinity is inherently barbaric and ego-driven. I'm just saying that such is the "dark side" of manliness. An example of the "light side" of manliness is chivalry, which - you've guessed it - is partly motivated by the presence of women.)
In essence, the Horus Heresy is - to me - a story about what happens when masculinity is left to run rampant without a female voice present to call out all the shitty behaviour, and make the men feel bad about their childishness. It's basically like Lord of the Flies, but the fate of humanity is at stake. That's what makes 30k so tragic and engaging; it's all so avoidable.
The closest thing the Primarchs have to such an influence is The Emperor, who fulfils the role of a father figure. Although patriarchal (fatherly) figures are necessarily judgemental and punitive when necessary, it's not the same as being scolded by a mother figure or a spousal figure. Being scolded by Dad feels different to being scolded by Mum, or by your wife. With the exception of Guilliman, mother figures are not present in the lives of the Primarchs, and it reeeaaally shows. Also, the Emperor is a very absent parental figure to the Primarchs, meaning that they're mostly left to their own devices despite behaving like teenagers. This is another reason why 30k feels like Lord of the Flies.
Now this is purely speculation on my part, but if the Primarchs started getting married off to stable and well-adjusted women close to an equal footing with themselves (say, powerful perpetuals), the women would be a positive influence on them, and the Horus Heresy would be much more mild, if it happened at all. Sure, you might get different stories (such as Horus being deceived by a daemon disguised as his late wife), but that's not what Warhammer is about. Warhammer is about big men/robots/aliens hitting each other for assorted reasons, and the tempering influence of women would detract from this, in some areas. So... No wish fulfilment dreams for us :'(
I love the idea that the HH never happens because a few of the primarchs actually got pussy.

Hamas’s objectives in the operation are no secret: First, retaliate and punish Israel for its occupation, oppression, illegal settlement, and desecration of Palestinian religious symbols, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem; second, take aim at Arab normalisation with Israel that embraces its apartheid regime in the region; and lastly, secure another prisoner exchange in order to get as many Palestinian political prisoners released from Israeli jails as possible.
It is worth recalling that Hamas’s leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya al-Sinwar, who spent more than two decades in Israeli prison, was released in a prisoner exchange. Mohammed Deif, the head of Hamas military arm, like many other Palestinians, lost loved ones to Israeli violence – an infant son, a three-year-old daughter and his wife. Therefore, there is also a clearly a punitive and vengeful aspect to the operation.
In that sense, the attack may have been incredibly shocking, but it was hardly surprising.
Hubris has finally caught up with Israel and its arrogant leaders, who long thought themselves invincible and repeatedly underestimated their enemies. Since the “surprise” Arab attack of October 1973, successive Israeli leaders have been shocked and awed, again and again, by what the people they oppressed have been capable of.

Denies necessity of psychological treatment, but has kept appointment at the request of his wife, who insisted on visitation due to a concern over growing isolationistic [sic] tendencies.
Patient displays high degree of verbal acuity and is very observant. Initial tests suggest a high IQ, with an extraordinary ability to recall facts. [Blacked Out] expressed pride at his intelligence and knowledge. Exhibits need to point out the weaknesses in others. Insists the behavioral changes are that of his wife who “no longer understands” him.
Patient is polite and cordial, but non-compliant. Seems to take pleasure in obfuscating answers and attempting to trick questioner. Patient’s demeanor is calm and controlled. Shows disconnect with the emotions of other individuals and general lack of empathy towards humanity. Verbally expresses affection for his expectant wife and child, but does not outwardly display so when discussing them.
After initial consultation [Blacked Out] does not feel a need for future visitations. Have scheduled a follow-up appointment with the option to cancel with 24 hours notice, just in case he changes his mind.
Patient displays tendencies towards depression and Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Doctor’s Notes [Blacked Out] continues to show up to appointments despite questioning need for psychiatric treatment. States that he “knows more about medicine and the mind” than any of the staff. Mocks staff credentials and is often uncommunicative during therapy. Claims traditional psychiatric medicine fails patients by not offering them “real choices.”
Patient displays familiarity with psychological/psychiatric language. Patient states that he is well aware of own childhood history and its potential psychological ramifications. Describes authoritarian, punitive father and absent, passive mother. Insists that his superior intelligence and self-control make childhood history of physical, mental and verbal abuse unimportant.
Patient denies history of his own violent and impulsive behavior, citing memory lapses. Our conversations reveal the [sic] [Blacked Out] often manipulates others for his own amusement. Patient shows no remorse at negative effects his behavior has on other people. Views others as objects/pawns.

Treatment Prescribed Bone set, cast application recommended for 5 weeks.
Notes [Blacked Out] claims injury is result of accidental fall. Subdermal hematoma at site of fracture, implying fracture was impact-related, but [Blacked Out] had additional bruising on the knuckles of both hands. When asked about metacarpal bruising, [Blacked Out] denied bruising and became violent, interrogating me about my bedside manner. Doctors make the worst patients.

the story arc w maddie and that personal trainer in an abusive relationship is so underrated
like. idk one thing that irks me about 911 is that all the storylines maddie gets is narratively tethered to the men in her life, most of the time. or her relationship to motherhood, or being an older sister, or a wife. but in this storyline -- while still colored by male violence -- is truly her forgoing the rules of her job to help this other woman, who she sees herself in. another woman who is putting up a strong face, whose facade is convincing in the same way hers was. she meets this strong, capable woman who still yet is trapped in this horrific and unseen situation. she, like buck and red, is relentless in her pursuit of solving this problem. she and her brother truly want to mend broken mirrors of themselves.
empathy runs so deep and chaotic in Buckley veins. not only does she feel overwhelmingly compelled to help this woman that she works her way into her life in a mendacious manor, but she's put into a position where all of her questionable actions don't even come into fruition -- the woman still opts to stay with her abusive husband. and maddie, someone whose job past and present has been to be a kind of savior, has to contend with that. but also, like buck and red, she's reprimanded. however, buck and red's situation was a bit more innocuous -- buck was contending with his fear of abandonment. maddie, with the personal trainer, was petrified by this woman in a horrific, abusive situation so exact to her own.
i feel like we see so many characters slip into the moral ambiguity of their jobs for personal motives but hers specifically was treated so punitively -- she was berated for breaking code so intensely for something that was so heartbreakingly close and necessary. there was that other call where the male abuser was apprehended by Athena, but I hope someday we get a situation where maddie gets the opportunity to help abused women in a more tactile way. not that her storylines should always be tied to DA, but in a more intentional scenario where her shared pain isn't just a brief thematic thread. do you know what I mean?

women are not held accountable. I don’t remember paternity fraud being a crime. In most places, a man still owes women alimony even if she cheats. He still has to pay child support even if the kid does not turn out to be his. Innocent men are punished and you are talking about them not being held accountable lol.
Gender neutral laws are a joke in most civilised countries. It always favors women without fail.
It’s just excuses for women to avoid accountability as usual.
to protect men paternity tests should be legal and mandatory.
Why are women surprised when men want paternity tests? The laws are already unfair to men. It’s like making divorce illegal.
"women are not held accountable."
Held accountable for what?? Did you send this to the wrong blog?
"I don’t remember paternity fraud being a crime."
That's because it's a civil offense. Also, if you agree to take responsibility for a child only to back out when you find out the child isn't yours then you never should have agreed to take responsibility in the first place.
"In most places, a man still owes women alimony even if she cheats."
First of all, the purpose of alimony is not punitive, it's to ensure both spouses can maintain the same quality of life. That being said, in a fair number of states, if he can prove infidelity he can often avoid or greatly reduce alimony [1]. In addition, it's simple to avoid this even in states without this consideration; just get a prenuptial agreement with a clause concerning infidelity.
Beyond all that: alimony is paid by the higher-earning spouse. Given the extent to which men have prevented women from earning equal money (e.g., insisting on stay-at-home-mothers, excluding them from higher paying jobs, insisting on prioritizing their own career advancement over their wive's), it's reasonable that they bear some of the consequences of this decision (i.e., paying alimony to a wife they've prevented from earning equal amounts of money by their own actions) [2].
In addition, alimony has never been particularly common [2]. It was a part of less than quarter of divorces prior to divorce reform, and has only fallen since then (and the proportion of permanent alimony has fallen even faster).
"He still has to pay child support even if the kid does not turn out to be his."
If you have reason to believe that the child isn't yours, then seek out a paternity test (the court can and does order them when necessary). Often times there is a time limit (usually a couple years following the child's birth) in which you can seek out a paternity test. If you miss this deadline, then you've already agreed to take responsibility for a child, therefore you are responsible for that child. The courts will subsequently prioritize whatever is in the child's best interest.
"Innocent men are punished and you are talking about them not being held accountable lol."
Child support and alimony are not punitive, they are part of what you agree to when you get married and/or have a child. If you don't want to be held liable for alimony, don't get married. If you don't want to be held liable for child support, don't have unprotected sex.
"Gender neutral laws are a joke in most civilised countries. It always favors women without fail."
Do you have any evidence for this? At all? This is so vague I can't even try and find sources for you. What laws? About what? What "civilized" countries? (And how exactly are you defining "civilized" anon?) How do they favor women?
"It’s just excuses for women to avoid accountability as usual."
Women are consistently held "accountable" for not just their behavior, but for the behavior of the men around them. Here's two articles [3-4], one from back in the 1990's and one from 2022, both describing the exact same phenomenon: a culture of women being blamed for men's actions.
Also, here's an interesting laboratory experiment [5] that found that only men were less likely to blame low performance outcomes of female leaders on luck (as opposed to selfish decisions). But again, this study was interesting, but also doesn't invalidate the extensive cultural history of blaming women for men's violence against them and other around them.
"to protect men paternity tests should be legal and mandatory."
They are legal.
No, they should not be mandatory. No medical procedure should be mandatory; that would be a gross violation of personal autonomy. It's one thing for a court to order a test based on the specific circumstances of that case (this is reasonable), it's another to mandate that every women or child undergo a paternity test (that is not reasonable).
Also ... this doesn't have anything to do with "protecting" men. To protect is "to make sure that someone or something is not harmed, injured, damaged, etc." [6]. Raising a child that is not biologically yours does not harm, injure, or damage; therefore preventing this does not protect men.
"Why are women surprised when men want paternity tests?"
Well if she believes the two of you have been in a monogamous relationship, then she may be surprised at the implication that you have not been faithful. If she believes you're "one of the good ones" she may be surprised at your attempt to dodge parental responsibilities. Or maybe this is just the first time you've showcased your misogynistic beliefs, and she's surprised at your display of disrespect.
"The laws are already unfair to men."
I covered this earlier. No, they are not, and there is no evidence suggesting they are.
"It’s like making divorce illegal."
No, no it is not. A divorce is "the legal ending of a marriage" [7]. Such an ending does not absolve you of your responsibilities to your children nor does it absolve you of the legal contracts you agreed to. (One of which is the payment of alimony, in the event of a divorce, provided you are the higher-earning partner.)

I’ve decided that I will no longer actively engage with discourse or social justice conversations on this website.
This decision comes down to a simple but frustrating realization: this platform seems to prioritize syntax and performative correctness over actual, tangible change. The energy I’d need to expend being Perfect for the people who (wrongly, in my opinion) claim to be my allies is better spent continuing the work I already do in real life: outreach, mutual aid, and community care. That’s where I can make a difference ngl, where my efforts are about action and impact, not linguistic perfection.
Recently, I made a post abt the oppression I face and how people like me are treated. To be honest, I expected pushback from people who disagree with me or the existence of trans-androphobia as a concept. But that’s not what happened. Instead, I was condescended to by people who call themselves my allies—because I made the apparent mistake of not using one word in a sentence. A single, ultimately irrelevant word.
Let me be clear: I wasn’t raised in the U.S. English is my third language. I don’t think in English, and I’m not going to pour endless time and energy into perfectly tailoring my words in a language that’s not even my own, just to appease people who are ostensibly on my side. This experience has taught me that this platform and many of the people on it, cares more about sounding right than about being right, about effect or praxis; thats not a value I share. I’d rather hear someone use imperfect language to say something important than see someone tear another person down because their linguistics weren’t pristine enough to pass an arbitrary standard.
In the real-world spaces where I do mutual aid, outreach, and harm reduction, this isn’t an issue. We’re too busy helping people to nitpick language. No one there questions whether someone deserves solidarity based on how “correctly” they phrase their sentences. That’s why I’ve decided that while I’d love to discuss the oppression and casual dismissal people like me face, I will not be doing it heree. This space rly just isn’t built for it. If you care more about the performance of words than about the reality of harm reduction, then you’re not my ally, and I don’t want to try to talk in spaces where that’s the standard.
I’m likely going to turn reblogs off on my one post about trans-androphobia and edit it to direct people here. I understand that some of the people who ‘corrected’ me probably thought they were helping, but their impact speaks louder than the intent. And the impact is this: it’s taught me that I cannot trust even my supposed allies in these spaces to care about the Movement as much as they care about the Words.
It was my wife, in fact, who had to sit me down and explain that what was happening wasn’t just frustrating and that it was punitive. I was being punished over semantics. That realization was rly eye-opening.
For those of you who are here because you want to see more of my thoughts about oppression, trans-androphobia, or other issues, I’m sorry to disappoint, but I won’t be using my own words to talk about these things on this website moving forward. I’ll still reblog pieces that resonate with me, and of course, @/velvetvexations is welcome to continue sharing thoughts I’ve expressed in private conversations. But as far as direct engagement goes, this is where it ends for me on Tumblr.
I’m genuinely glad that some people here have the comfort to focus so heavily on language. But I live on the brink of homelessness every month. I struggle to feed my family. I simply can’t afford to use the little energy I have navigating the minefield of linguistic perfection to avoid being torn down by “my own side.” If that’s something you can understand, I hope you’ll respect my decision. If not, I wish you well anyway.
srry.

Tamlin who had to lash his friend Lucien 20x UTM after begging for Lucien's life. And all because Lucien tried to defend Feyre.
Tamlin who had to wear a physical mask for 50 years and have his powers reduced, and be haunted by his people and his fellow citizens kidnapped and living UTM.
Tamlin who such a progressive ruler that the Lords, who wanted things the same way as his father, fled the court rather than serve him.
Tamlin who gets called a conservative, archaic, punitive leader for collecting a Tithe (which is just another word for Taxes). Yet, we don't get to see how Rhysand collects his revenue and tax funds, but we do know they slums in Velaris and a group of people who are segregated and forced to live under a mountain, never seeing daylight.
Tamlin who listened to Feyre as she asked if SHE was just going to be called "Tamlins wife?..." He didn't respond in a misogynistic way. He actively listened to her & asked her if she 'wanted a title'? Then she stated her concerns, and he responded to her concerns by reassuring her that there was no such thing as a High Lady. Not that there NEVER would be or no berating of any sort.
Tamlin who blew up a room with Feyre in it. Who immediately apologized and tried to fix it with time and gifts and apologies. Who now is deemed an abuser by Fandom, despite, canonically speaking the blowing up of magic in stressful situations is a standard action throughout the series and universes. (TOG Dorian Wall, CC Bryce Interrogation Room, Feyre HL Mtg-injured Lady of Autumn Court a bystander, CC Rhysand Nestas home- Could have killed Bryces mortal parents). The second time he erupted was an intentional misuse and riling of this form of magic. Also note he had just regained his powers. And acts like this have a higher liklihood at the onset of magic.
Tamlin who woke up one morning to his home being invaded by Rhysand. While Feyre was still naked and in bed. A PTSD moment for sure, after the last time Tam woke to find Rhys at his bedroom door was right after his family had been murdered. Rhys then insinuated that he needed better enhancements on his property (low blow) but one that also caused paranoia, trauma, and fear...of Feyres safety in his own home and only escalated drastic measures to break the bargain.
To be continued....

.
It is in line with the trend of the times that women are increasingly taking on leading roles in business and politics. In many, if not the majority, of marriages, the woman is in charge, makes all decisions alone, tolerates no opposition and rules the roost. Although not all of these wives chastise their husbands, they still exercise the right of edud´cation over their husbands. A strict wife firmly believes that she has the right to punish her husband whenever he disobeys her orders or does not follow them accurately, as well as when he behaves in an inappropriate manner in her opinion. She scolds him, she gives him a good trashing with appropriate painful punishment instruments on his bare bottom. Afterwards, in addition to long corner times, he often receives other severe punishments. By doing this, she strengthens her authority over him and encourages his willingness to submit to his wife. Understandably, a husband who is raised and led by her in this consistent strictness will obey and respect her! A strict wife teaches her husband discipline and order through resolute action, as she desires. From her point of view, she is raising her husband in this punitive manner that serves the good of the family and society, and that alone is what counts to her!
Please communicate here and express your opinion by liking, rebloging and commenting whether and if so, how a woman should educate her man as presented here.
It is interesting to learn how attitudes towards matriarchy have changed over time. How the growing dominance and empowerment of women within society affects the position of women within marriage. What do you think about this? Should laws be passed stating that every wife has the authority to give directives to her husband? Every wife has the right to discipline her husband? Such laws would not only give legal security to every wife who disciplines her husband, but at the same time it would be normal not only for the strictly raised husband, but also for the general public! I am sure that the majority of women would take advantage of these laws by frequently and regularly punishing their men with various instruments of punishment for the good of all!
