I’m gonna be real with y’all. I absolutely do not want to hear a cis woman’s take on why she doesn’t like trans men talking about transandrophobia.

To be fair, I don’t really want to hear any cis person’s take on the validity of trans men’s oppression or advocacy. I think they should listen and learn and support trans men and transmascs or admit they’re transphobic. Those are the only two options as far as I’m concerned.

But cis women are inclined to use feminism as a shield for transphobia. They’ll call us misogynists and antifeminists without realizing we aren’t against feminism and are simply asking that it be more inclusive of all trans people as we are all, regardless of gender, harmed by the cispatriarchy. But because cis women are too eager to claim trans men have male privilege and that we’re somehow uniquely more misogynistic than cis men and that they as women are incapable of being anyone’s oppressor regardless of circumstances, I have to specify them. I’ve criticized transandrophobia from cis men, but they don’t tell me I’m just doing it cause I hate men. They more typically tell me I’m a delusional female who thinks men have it so easy but won’t be able to handle actually living as a man (jokes on you I’m currently doing that and handling it just fine).

Oh, and don’t try to tell me your trauma validates your hatred of trans men. Unless you want to say my trauma means I’m allowed to hate cis women. Your only third option is to admit you’re transphobic.

making this point it’s own post but the hate against trans men is not the same as any cis man who fails to live up to masculine standards. when a cis man is masculine nobody comments on it. when a trans man is masculine, more masculine than many cis men, when people know he’s trans they go out of their way to call him a girl. people try to make trans men go back to female while they try to masculinize a cis man who is insufficiently masculine
