We planted six pumpkin plants, and this is the only one that survived the animals eating them down to the ground. And even with this one plant, we have no pumpkins, because every time it grows a blossom, the animals eat that too. Nevertheless, Graer thinks this massive pumpkin plant is gorgeous, and when he saw a big beautiful blossom on it, he wanted to appreciate it quickly, before it too is eaten. It looks like we'll be buying all our pumpkins this year, unfortunately, but at least we can appreciate a pumpkin plant right in our backyard. =)
