Those of us who are hella old will remember similar shenaningans by WTBS's Bill Tush, doing the news with a bag over his head or with Rex, the German Shepherd. Because the FCC required that they do news, but not that they be good at it.

Friendly reminder as Oct 1 approaches that not everyone likes surprise gifsets of: gory scenes from horror movies, jumpscares in gifs, jumpscares in video or audio, spooky scenes from horror movies, and - just whatever else. I know there is a ton of queer horror out right now, and that's beautiful, but not all queers like horror and I am one of them.

One thing my mutuals have done that I LOVE is use a tag (like: horror tag, horror cw, gore tag, WHATEVER) that other users can block. You're under no obligation to do this, but it is a lovely thing to do as a citizen of Tumblr so that others can engage with the rest of your content while avoiding that.

last year for inktober I drew as many horror-related characters as I could every day of the month...
