Breakfast:

Lunch:

Dinner:
- Pulled pork sandwhich: 474,4+ kcal (not 100% sure, don't know all the ingredients)

Went to a themepark and couldn't not eat bcs my friend would get worried (because she does eat ofc), but god I hate eating this much.. thankfully we also walked about 19k steps ig

I made Pork Shoulder for the first time today and damn am I proud of this one.
Forgot to take a photo before letting my partner dig in but he seemed satisfied enough from how fast he ate it. (He also has made several trips to pick at more)
It was soft and juicy and the flavor was really good without drowning out the meat. 10/10 Can't wait to make it again.
Recipe under cut
Pork Shoulder (mine was a bit over a pound)
1/4th cup bbq sauce
1/4 mix of half Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce (mine was gf but should work same with regular from other meats ive cooked with a mix of this
Salt to taste
1/4 pepper
an bbq rub i maybe forgot to measure (Rib Rack company)
half a tablespoon garlic powder
half an onion
two tablespons butter
cook on low for 7 hours or until cooked all the way through to pull apart soft (145° internal temp)
About halfway I went in and took out a cup and a half of the liquid buildup so it wouldnt toughen the meat too badly the way my pork did last time i tried to experiment 😔
and i heared that seperate with some random spices added in my own taste for dipping the sandwhich.

New retired trio AU lore: Ironhide and Chromia go to restaurants and compete in timed eating contests and Chromia always wins.
She can scarf down a 6 pound pulled pork sandwich, plate of fries and 2 milkshakes in the time Ironhide has only gotten through half his sandwhich.

I REFUSE to believe I'm ugly bc I've never come across someone and been like "damn bros ugly🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥❌️❌️". Like yeah maybe someone's been like "hey is this person cute?" and I've been like "nah bro looks like a pulled pork sandwhich you can do better pooksta" but never have I just seen someone in real life and thought they were ugly???? Barbecue "pulled" jackfruit sandwhich(es)
560g/3 C. canned green jackfruit in water or brine
2 Tbsp. olive oil
sea salt
2 garlic cloves
150g/½ C. vegan barbecue sauce(plus extra for the sandwhich)
freshly ground black pepper
4 slices of bread(Seperate recipe coming soon)
4 lettuce leaves
1 tomato, sliced
1 small red onion, finely sliced
(1)Pull the jackfruit into a colander, let it drain well, rinse under cold water, and let it drain once again. Carefully shred into rough pieces. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the jackfruit for 3-4 minutes over medium -heat, then season with salt. Peel and crush the garlic, and sauté this briefly too. Ad the barbecue sauce, stir then cover and leave to simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Give it a stir every so often and, if necessary, splash in some water. Season to taste with salt and pepper, remove from the stove and let it infuse for 12 hours.
(2) Briefly toast the sliced bread under the broiler or in the toaster, then spread with a little bit of barbecue sauce. Top 2 pieces of bread with 1 lettuce leaf each. Arrange the tomato, onion, and some of the jackfruit "pulled pork" on top, then drizzle with barbecue sauce. Top with the remaining lettuce leaves and cover with the other slices of bread. Cook's Tip#1: You can buy canned jackfruit in Asian grocery stores. It's REALLY important for this recipe that you get young green jackfruit in water or brine, not preserved in syrup

You can be a bread hater if you want. But putting your sloppy joe into a bowl doesn't stop it from being sandwhich filling. It just means you eat it wrong. Like eating new York style pizza with a fork and knife or drinking chicken noodle soup with a boba straw.
Pulled pork in a bowl is weird but not necessarily wrong. The question is why wouldn't you use a plate.
In what world is a sloppy joe not a sandwich?
