Oswald the rabbit is public domain, and now, trans and a cane-user! In the first short film, Oswald has a detachable leg, which I've decided is a prosthetic :)
Here's a link to the HD version of this file on the web archive for you to download and do whatever you want with. Literally anything!
You can also buy this design from my Threadless store!
[ID: A digital drawing of Oswald the rabbit, a black and white cartoon rabbit on a white background. Oswald has black fur, white shorts, and a white face, with round black eyes and nose. In his left hand, which we see on the right, Oswald is holding a sign that reads, "Disabled trans rights". In his right hand, which we see on the left, Oswald holds a cane with a black tip. Oswald's chest has two top surgery scars from a double mastectomy, and his left leg below the knee has a curved line going across it to mark a prosthetic shin and foot. End ID.]

Wow, hey did you know the invisible man from H.G. Wells' book of the same name is albino? That's literally the key to him becoming invisible, because the thing that lets you become invisible doesn't affect pigments, but his skin already does not have any pigmentation, so he wouldn't have been able to make himself invisible if he weren't already albino.

There will be a girl with a wheelchair in my game!
Her name is dolly and she's has limited mobility. She can stand up and move around a little bit, but can't go too far without her wheelchair. She's the owner of a successful tavern (lots of happy customers) and you'll be battling her in my bullet hell game. She's no pushover either!

Here's a WIP list of my ideas for a full year of monthly writing events!
If you have any suggestions *please* feel free to send them in :D
Not everyone has free time to do a full 30k in November in particular, and the key of learning to write consistently...... is consistency!
Writing in earnest for just one month out of the year doesn't give you much practice, does it?
But 30k every single month can be exhausting an daunting!
So, here's my WIP proposal....
------
January [15k total / 500 each day]-- Public Domain-Day Dash -- On January 1st, pick a brand-new Public Domain work, read/study it for a week while brain storming, then spend the next three weeks writing 5k words to make by the end of the month a 15k word short story, adapting that PD Work into another genre / time period / etc. February [20k total / ~714 Each day ] -- Freedom February -- Black History Month. Each week, write 5,000 words each week celebrating freedom from tyranny in all its forms. March [9,300 total / 300 each day] -- Spring Equinox -- Each day, write 300 words based on the concepts of warmth, renewal, rebirth, changing of the guard, etc. April [8k total / ~285 per day] -- April Fools -- Each week, write 2k words of a comedy short story, to end the month with 8k words of comedy. May [6,200k total / 200 each day] -- International Workers Celebration -- Each day, write 200 words about a character in your line of work (or a nonfiction diary/article) and what you enjoy about it and how it keeps the world turning, or saving the world in some emergency, then take some time to relax, you've earned it! June [15k total / 500 each day] -- Pride Month -- write 500 words each day, either fictional or nonfictional, about queer history, pride, solidarity, or intersectionality. July [15.5k words total / 500 each day] -- Disability Pride Month -- Each day, write 500 words about your favorite genre, from the perspective of a disabled character (or a character with your own disabilities), and what kind of accommodations they use in their daily lives, without magically erasing their disability. August [15.5k words total / 500 each day]-- Alien August -- Aliens have invaded! Pick your favorite genre, and each day, write 500 words of that genre, with a plot that gets interrupted by an alien visitation! September [60-100 Pages / 2-3 each day] -- Scripting September -- Each day, write 2-3 script pages for an audio-drama, stage-play, or movie/tv show, to end the month with a 60 to 100 page script. October [20k total / 714 each day] -- Ominous October -- A choice of themes will be decided on before October, two options for each week, and everyone will write a 5k word short horror/spooky story each week, that all get posted on October 31st / Halloween
November -- Novella November [30k total / 1k each day]-- Write 1k words a day to reach 30k words by the end of the month. You can write a 30k word novella, use it as the start of a larger novel, write a series of short stories (such as writing a 7.5k word short story per week), etc. [30k total / 1k each day] December -- Don't Touch It December [6,200k total / 200 each day] -- this is your month of relaxation! Write just 200 words per day about anything you enjoyed / are proud of from the past year, and what you are looking forward to in the future! [6,200k total / 200 each day]
If you prefer to focus on just the longer challenges and spend the other months editing, we can also have mirror events each month for different ways of editing with community support!
Things like Beta reader swaps, doing cover mockups, localization help for those not writing in their first language, etc!

Characters of my SU AU.
Calcites.
The main villains of the "Achromatic Psychopath" chapter series.
They are related gems to chalks, but unlike them (the slaves), they occupy the highest level in the hierarchy, playing the role of guard chiefs in the White Diamond domain. Their investigations and activities are so secret that even other guard chiefs, represented by the aquamarines, are not allowed to access their documentation unless absolutely necessary. Moreover, there is a hidden feud between the two security departments, and hostility reigns.
The calcites have dozens of conspiracy apartments in each residential block. In addition to fighting crime, these Gems identify dissent and deviant behavior and then compile a dossier on a potential rebel.
In addition to immobilization, they can temporarily disable the minds of gems, but pointwise, not en masse.
These gems, depicted in the picture, live in the capital of the country/sector/district of White Diamond - Norr (Swedish: "North") - a place immersed in darkness, frequent snowstorms and northern lights.
The speech of calcites is polite, kind and endearing. The public is not informed of the full list of their work, so ordinary citizens are not afraid to contact them and even trust them.
The masks are parts of their faces, not a separate element. From the mouth of the Calcites, "cracks" extend. The eyes are white. The arms widen towards the hands. They look like birds and lizards at the same time, as well as chalk. Height is about 190 cm. The hair is long, can be straight or curly.
They wear lush elegant costumes, reminiscent of masquerade. Decorative feathers and fur.

I made Discount (open source) Tumblr Dashboard Bells as a Firefox extension to decorate your tumblr dashboard!
(And they're already reviewed and approved even though I only submitted for review yesterday!)
You can get them here.
(You can also look at the source code. (Here are instructions for downloading Firefox extension source code.) The code is Mozilla Public License v2.0, which I think means you can modify it and/or distribute under the same license if you like (but I'm not a lawyer). In any case, I'd be happy to hear any edit suggestions!)
Once you've added it to Firefox, if you to go to your tumblr dashboard it should have a row of bells at the top like this:
When you mouse over a bell or type the corresponding number or letter (not case sensitive) it should play the sound and light up like below.
(After opening tumblr, you may need to click somewhere on the dashboard to get the sounds to work.)
The keyboard keys you can use are q, w, e, r, t, y, u, i, and digits 1-8, with q, w, e, r, t, y, u, i, being one octave below 1-8. ('i' plays the same bell as '1', which is why there is no 'i' bell.)
You can disable the bells by clicking "Disable Bells". Otherwise they will play when you type the relevant keys even when you are making posts :-(
They unfortunately don't look or sound like tumblr bells. When I made them, I couldn't remember how tumblr bells looked well enough to draw them from memory, and these bells were in the public domain. The sound is vibraphone, instead of jingle bells like tumblr bells were, because I couldn't find jingle bell sounds in even one octave. Sorry about this; that's why they're called Discount Bells.
If you click "Play a string" the div should expand like:
And then you can enter a string and a tempo.
Any character in the string which is not one of q, w, e, r, t, y, u, i, or 1-8 (NOT case sensitive) will be treated as a rest. My preferred rest to use is the comma.
The tempo is in bells per minute (rests count as bells).
For example, my best approximation of Hallelujah (verse and chorus) is:
et,tt,ty,yy,et,tt,ty,yy,ty,yy,yy,tt,et,t,,,,,,,,et,tt,ty,yu,ti,ii,yi,12,12,22,23,33,21,1,,,,,,e,ty,,y,,,,,y,te,,e,,,,,e,ty,,y,,,,,y,te,,,rew,,,,qq
with tempo set to between 200 and 240.
You can find the source code on the Mozilla link provided above. Here are instructions for downloading source code for Firefox extensions.
Hope you give it a try and let me know if you have any thoughts/encounter any issues!
EDIT: I've made an update so that now the bells are disabled by default, so you need to click "Enable Bells" for the bells to work. (I also made them less loud. Let me know if you think they're still too loud.)

Here's a post with tips for writing your own image descriptions.
If you have Flatland OCs you regularly post art of, and would like to help me at least tag them properly, here are the tags I use for this blog, saved to a notepad for easy copying and pasting as needed.
If you want to help, you can go through these and create a specific tag cluster for your different OCs for me to copy and paste.
Just pick out whatever here is relevant to your OCs, and put it in a paragraph, separated by commas. It should include their name, anything you think people would want to search for (like Queer characters), and if applicable, the title of any stories they appear in.
I have been considering adding tags for the shapes of each characters, so you can add that in as well. (Ie: Rectangle, Cube, Straight Line, Kite, ect)
Then you can send me the results in an ask, and I'll be able to save those to a document, so all I have to do when I reblog your OCs is copy it in and all the right tags will show up.
You can have each character's tags separated by a paragraph.
IE:
Billie: [paragraph of tags separated by commas]
Bomb: [paragraph]
Joe: [paragraph]
I'm not sure what the character limit is for asks these days, but feel free to send as many at a time as you can fit in an ask.
Including the names of the characters in your art whenever you post them will also help.

with sherlock becoming public domain people want a gay sherlock story of which there are already a few if you know where to look.
Firstly: Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint from Doctor Who.
Two women who are married and have been mentioned as the inspiration for Doyle's works in the DWU. One of the women is non-human.
They have not appeared in the show since 2014.
(From the episode The Snowmen)
Secondly: Sherlock Holmes and William James Moriarty from Moriarty The Patriot
Very queer-coded. Features a trans masculine James Bonde. There is a four-part(so far) musical adaption and they canonically have love songs. Not confirmed canon (yet). There are also various disabled characters throughout.

I gave him a shirt covered in Flatland characters and also a spiked cane.
[Image description start. Two versions of the same and digital drawing showing Oswald the Rabbit standing facing forward with a cane in his right hand, which we see on his left, a pair of shorts held up by a diagonal shoulder strap with a small flower button holding it in place, and a short sleeved shirt covered in intricate zigzagging and straight stripes with dots and smaller shapes drawn inside.
The first version is black and white, the second his shorts are dark teal, and the shirt is a gradient of red-brown to orange to tan going from the outside in. In the first image his cane is solid black, in the second version it is red and covered in light spikes.
On each version, a thin white line on his left leg which we see on the right marks his prosthetic leg below the knee.
Image description end.]

Random parts from my dream:
Part.....2?
The mom: Oh, yeah, I've known who your soulmate was since you were 13, lol, you just didn't notice the message written in the clouds.
[the person who's just met their soulmate for the first time paraphrasded in the ether: and you didn't bother to tell me???]
The husband, cheerfully: Yeah, I think he'll have something to tell you that I forgot.
[the person who just met their soulmate paraphrased in the ether: Why aren't you upset about this????]
[the husband paraphrased in the ether: because we chose to get married and I know we actually love eachother. a soulmate bond can't even try to compete with that.]
It was a world where soulmates were a thing and forever ago before written history people had figured out that you could easily break a soulmate bond by just. aborting the baby it produced. and then the Magic Eugenics God™ would go ewwwwwwwwww you had a misscariage you're unfit to be in my breeding program get outta here!!!
and then in the future they invented medicine you could just take to simulate an abortion/miscarriage so no one actually had to get pregnant. If you found your soulmate you could just take the meds and instantly break the bond before any bullshit happened.
___
then there was stuff about Flatland I mostly forget...I think A Sphere and A Square went on a picnic...
___
Part...1?
there were 3 rings that were used to create portals to three other worlds. One was called White As Death and had a symbol of a bone. It opened a portal to The Death Zone. Another one was...okay I just forgot what it was called but it was red and had a symbol of a cloud. It went to The Twilight Realm. The last one I didn't learn the name, but it was green and had a symbol of a snake that looked like the number 2. I have no clue where it went.
The Death Zone was where ghosts and other souls of the living went after death. The Twilight Realm was I think an endless dungeon thing. if you ever found the sky it was always pink and purple and cloudy which is where it got its name.
To open a portal, you had to have all three rings, worn by three different people, and you had to use them to trace the same shape in the air that would become the portal. Whichever ring you used last would determine your destination.
The portal making thing wasn't going well because the people were failing to communicate properly and the first time thy made the portal too small for anyone to actually fit through. Then they got in a tent and made the portal by tracing along the doorway. Then they all grabbed the tent and ran through the portal, which flipped it inside out and....successfully closed the portal behind them???
very weird.
___
And then there was this guy, Riowolf, or to his friends, Rioruff. A trans man who was kidnapped by the government and experimented on in a secret evil lab into a partially-transformed werecatwolf (the government wanted 'the best traits of cats and wolves combined with Human Intellect™') before they tossed him back out onto the street. A common problem in this setting, with varying results. The government has not suceeded in making a full werecatwolf (or werecat, or werewolf) yet but they don't care how many people they have to torture to make one.
being bitten by one does not let you become one. yet.
His ear normally stands fully upright but I made the canvas too short. this is supposed to be expressionless since it's just a character reference.
[ID: A simple digital drawing of an original character. In the center top of the image is his face, in the lower left and right are a very simply drawn version of his full body, flipped to show his front and back. The left half of his face (which is on his right) is light pink, with darker red-pink burn marks on his forehead, over his eye, and his mouth, with this eye closed, drooping to the left. His mouth also droops to the left. The other half of his face is covered in black fur, with a tall pointed ear, a grey nose, and whiskers. His eye on this side has dark sclera, a large round pupil, and a red iris. The black fur continues down half of his body and includes a long tail, with a red double-spike at the end. On his wrists and ankles are grey, red, and grey stripes. He wears no clothes, and the human half of his body is simple pink blobs in the shape of an arm and leg. On the werecatwolf side, he has a digitigrade leg and a paw, both with sharp claws. End ID.]
with extra text and also his clothes
[ID: The same drawing above, but now Riowolf is wearing a red short-sleeved shirt under a denim jacket with tattered edges, and grey jeans with ripped edges. On the werecatwolf side, the jeans have been cut at the knee. The front of the jacket is covered in many small black pins, with text reading, "assorted other pins", "he/him pronoun pin (trans man). On the back is a black symbold of scratches left by claws. An arrow points at his closed eye, labeling it, "blind in this eye". Smaller text above his angled ear on the face closeup reads, "not mad the canvas is just too short". In the upper left corner, text reads, "July 22 2024, public domain, Riowolf or to friends Rioruff". End ID.]
He's a punk anarchist. He lives in a time when there's either nuclear winter, or just on a completely separate planet where there's constant cloud cover making it "permenant night". Cities are enclosed and kept heated by some sort of thing with wind. certain parts of the city would always have lights on for visitors from other cities, others would switch on and off to simulate day and night cycles.
Here's what the end of his tail looks like. Not really sure what you call this shape.
[ID: an MS Paint scribble of Riowolf's tail, which is solid black except for the end, where there is a large red double-spike, like a flattened bolt of lightning, or the letter N mirrored onto itself. End ID.]
I think they were transforming people by dunking them into giant chemical vats. It wasn't very clear though.
You can see the speedpaint of me drawing him, as long as the HD versions of the art above to download here on the Internet Archive:

Concrete Steps
Concrete steps, quite literally, form the foundations of our built environment. From sidewalks winding through bustling city streets to grand architectural wonders towering into the sky, concrete steps serve as both functional structures and aesthetic elements.
For More Information: Concrete Steps
Yet, their significance extends beyond mere construction; they symbolize progress, stability, and the journey forward. In this exploration, we delve into the world of concrete steps, unraveling their intricate role in shaping our landscapes, cultures, and societies.
From the humble beginnings of mixing cement to the innovative techniques shaping the future of construction, let us embark on a journey to understand the concrete steps beneath our feet and the stories they silently carry.
Concrete steps hold a profound significance in the realm of construction and urban planning, embodying both practical functionality and symbolic representation. Their importance extends across various domains, ranging from infrastructure development to architectural design, societal accessibility, and environmental sustainability.
Understanding the Importance of Concrete Steps
Structural Integrity and Stability: Concrete, renowned for its durability and strength, forms the backbone of many structures worldwide. Concrete steps, in particular, are engineered to withstand heavy loads, foot traffic, and environmental factors.
Their robust construction ensures stability, providing safe passage for pedestrians and supporting the weight of buildings and infrastructure above. This structural integrity contributes to the longevity and reliability of the built environment, crucial for urban resilience and safety.
Accessibility and Inclusivity: Concrete steps play a pivotal role in ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities and diverse mobility needs.
Well-designed ramps, alongside or integrated with steps facilitate seamless navigation for wheelchair users, elderly individuals, and those with mobility impairments.
By promoting inclusivity, concrete steps contribute to fostering equitable access to public spaces, buildings, and amenities. Thereby fostering social cohesion and empowerment within communities.
Architectural Aesthetics and Design: Beyond their functional utility, concrete steps serve as key architectural elements, shaping the visual identity and character of built environments.
Architects and designers leverage the versatility of concrete to create striking staircases and grand entrances that enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures.
Whether adorned with intricate patterns, textured finishes, or integrated with landscaping features, concrete steps lend a sense of sophistication and style to residential, commercial, and civic spaces.

Lot of 'not quite right' in this thread.
The above Captcha type was not used to train AI (at least not by the company that made it). It's automatically generated, by compositing text and a few confusing lines, which means that the system that made it already knows what it says. It is purely for verifying that a user isn't a bot.
Later Captchas did help with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) training because they used words from books that were scanned in as part of a book archiving process, and were being converted from images to text. This made it so computers could read the contents of older books, which has upsides and downsides--it makes older texts publicly available and searchable on Google, but those results are likely locked in Google, rather than publicly available (even if the scanned works were public domain).
The most recent Captchas have been pictures of stop signs, fire hydrants, etc. This is definitely helping Google by providing training data for their self-driving car project. While there is public benefit to having self-driving cars, e.g. for disabled people, and while Google seems to be going about it more responsibly than, say, Uber or Tesla, it's still something that will be owned by Google rather than a public good.
Lastly, Captchas do have value. They are an important tool against spam and abuse, and the internet would be a much less pleasant place without them. This kind of attack against captcha has been possible for a while now, so Captchas have already moved toward behavioral analysys--Instead of just making sure you get the right answer to the fire hydrants question, they also watch your mouse movements and clicks and browser attributes while you answer, to see if they 'look' human. This sounds a little bit skeevy, but I honestly don't know of a better way--most of the proposed alternatives involve requiring some kind of license or proof of identity, which is much worse.

Character Creation
Age Requirement - Characters must be 18 or older.
Character Limits - Each writer's first four characters are free. Subsequent characters require that all current characters have at least 15 posts and must not have received an activity warning in the previous activity check. There's no limit on the total number of characters a writer can have, so long as they're meeting these requirements.
Member Groups - Groups are based on the character's profession and can be changed by request at a later date, should a character's development call for it. There will be overlap between some of the groups, but please choose what you feel is the closest fit when selecting your character's group. Member group options are as follows:
Arts and Technology - Any craftsmen, artist, designer, programmer, etc.
Crime - Criminals of all varieties
Customer Service - Retail workers, electricians, plumbers, food service, etc. Anyone that relies on customers and their patronage.
Educators and Students - ESU students as well as teachers, professors, librarians; anyone that works at keeping the Cape's citizens well educated.
Health Services - Doctors, nurses, EMTs, counselors, etc.
Labor Carpenters, construction workers, welders, landscapers, custodians, etc.
Public Service - Police, firefighters, politicians, social workers, etc.
Miscellaneous - Unemployed citizens and anyone that doesn't fit into the above groups.
Member - For OOC accounts only.
Application - CCWA uses a profile application. Once your profile fields are filled out, please either post in the "Application Updates" section of our Discord server or PM the Admin account. See below for more information about filling out your profile. We recommend not filling out your OOC profile until your first character is approved, as the profile information for OOC accounts will change at that point.
Realism - Not only should your character have strengths and flaws, but consideration should be given to their experiences and qualifications when choosing their occupation.
Face Claims - Face claims must be 18 or older and images chosen should pass for the character's current age. No NSFW imagery.
Graphics - Avatars are 300x400 and must be still images. Signatures are disabled for the sake of readability. The smaller, 250x250 images in profiles can be animated gifs or still images.
Claims - Member directory, face claims, and lineage claim are all automated and will be automatically filled out when your profile information is completed. Because they're automated, guest reserves on face claims are not possible; unapproved members will have their face claim listed as reserved until their application is approved. If the application is not completed within 2 weeks from the account's registration, the claim will expire and the account will be archived until the application is complete.
Helpful Tips:
Demigods can have one talent or ability influenced by their godly ancestor's domain. You can choose any ability you like as long as it clearly relates. For instance, a child of god associated with love or beauty may be able to change their appearance or be able to charm/persuade people to do their bidding. A child of a youth deity may age slowly and have a longer than average lifespan. Remember, since the gods stopped appearing in the mortal world powers have been weakened, any godly talent or ability should have clear limitations.
You do not have to play the direct child of a god. You can choose to play a child of two demigods or someone who has demigod ancestry. Remember, though, that you may only have one ability from one god and that the further removed your character is from their divine ancestor, the weaker their ability will be. You may choose a god from any pantheon but please be respectful of cultures as you're building your characters. Keep in mind that deities of marriage and deities known as "maiden" or "virgin" gods would not have demigod children.

Hauntlight and Cenotaph, a pair of original, public domain characters created for the also public domain book Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, by Edwin Abbot Abbot.
This character reference sheet took like four days to make.
[ID: Two images, both compilations of drawings of two original characters, Hauntlight and Cenotaph.
The first drawing, which focuses on Hauntlight, is titled, "Hauntlight - it/its/itself pronouns only, yes, even in mundane, 'all-human' AUs. It's not human, only human-passing, even if born to human parents.
From top to bottom and left to right, the following drawings are labled:
"Daemon / aether / familiar is always a rabbit", showing a simple drawing of a tan rabbit, and a purple and grey shape with three lobes to represent a Flatland rabbit.
Next is a simple black line that has zig-zags and a fork at the end, with the same Flatland rabbit shape next to it for scale, showing it comes up to around where the back section forks.
Next to this is the same zig-zagged line, colored in orange, labled, "Can be thicker, though its exoskeleton is abnormally thin".
Next to this is a crude scribble drawing of a humanoid figure with ink-black skin, withd a dark brown heart shape in the center of its torso, with three stripes on either side like a rib cage. Each ankle and wrist, along with its spade-tipped tail, has two more brown stripes, one thin, one thick. It is missing one eye, with the other orange with a brown pupil. It has pointed ears, a tall asymetrical horn on one side of its head, and grey flopped over hair on the other.
It is labled, "Huamnoid! Asymetrical hair. Triped, cat face, animal ears, 1 horn, stylized grey hair, ink-black skin, 1 eye, needs glasses." Next to its right hand, which we see on the left, is a orange and yellow cane.
After this is a pale human seen from the knees up, labeled, "Human-passing! Earth (with daemons). 'Disguised' as a boy (not really, lol). Gets to have crutches!".
This version of the character is wearing a brown eye patch over its missing left eye, with its other eye black, wearing a grey-brown shirt under a dark brown vest, and warm brown pants with a dark belt. It has wooden forearm crutches, and wears a dark brown newsie cap.
After this is another version of the line from before, labled, "Most simplified! If drawn as a solid shape, should be black or orange", with a smiley face emoji. Next is a "Literal Line", purple with a grey outline, labled, "too short, ran out of paper. Grey exo, 2x repro organs, 1 set functional".
The last form is a humanoid form with three legs and two arms, with a single large cyclops eye in the center of its round head, which is tipped with a swooped arrow like a spear point. It has the same colors and pattern as the earlier humanoid, with ink-black skin and brown markings.
It has the same yellow and orange cane drawn over its right hand, which has an uncolored pencil drawing below it showing three rounded, "long webbed fingers". The rest of the labels are, "three legs", with an arrow pointing at its far left leg, which we see on the right, labeling it "worst leg: left leg", with its simple rounded feet "like hooves". Next to it is a separate spade-tipped tail, labled, "Can have spade tail [because] tails are cool, but not required. Finally, there is a drawing of a large, yellow and orange cyclops goggle labled, "could wear eyeglass if not living under The Current Regime".
The last part of text reads, "Black skin like pen ink, just light enough 2 differentiate from lines, or lineless.".
The second drawing shows three digital drawings on a black background, with white outlines, showing different styles of an original Flatland character, Cenotaph.
The first style is labeled, “Literal Line”, and shows an upward pointing arrow with a small box around the straight tail, with small curved lines coming off the sides, like cilia.
The second is labeled, “Speculative”, and shows a more detailed Flatland version as seen from above. In this form, Cenotaph has a grey exoskeleton, and a body with a rounded main section, and two long ear-shaped sections at the top, with its eye in the center. Its blood is purple, and its brain, lung, stomachs, heart, and reproductive organs are in different shades of pink and dark red.
Attached to the sides of its main body section are two cage-like contraptions with five points boring into Cenotaph’s exoskeleton, with the outside covered in the same short curved likes as the simplified version as cilia or fins. One side of the “swimmer” is colored gold to make it easier to see, the other is greyscale. Where the barbs are injected into Cenotaph’s exoskeleton, there are thick black lines of scar tissue around them.
The final drawing is labled, “Stylized”, and shows a three-dimensional cartoon rabbit walking on all fours, with an orange and yellow wheelchair holding its back legs up off the ground, with orange straps and yellow cushioning. The rabbit is dark brown, with three black stripes on its back, a black fluffy tail, and two stripes, one thick, the other thin, on its ankles and ears, with a single large orange eye with a brown slit pupil in the center of its face instead of a mouth.
End ID.]

contextless public domain illustration and characters because I haven't read it yet
I'm gonna hope and pretend all these disabled characters are treated with respect.
[Image description start: A black and white illustration showing three characters in the foreground. One of them has no body, only a bald head atop a metal cyllinder, in a wheelchair made up of three wheels, with two on the back larger, and the front smaller. Sitting nearby is a character in long skirt or dress and bra or croptop, sitting on what appears to be stairs, partly attached to a machine as they look over at the first character. Behind them is a third, seemingly sitting up from within a large machine, with what looks like stitches or scars crisscrossing their bare chest. A fourth character is in the background, walking away from the camera and seeming to lean on a cane, with a bare torso and their back to the camera. End Image description.]

Ethical AI absolutely can and does exist, wherein the entire model uses exclusively public domain or correctly, honestly licensed art.
The results look like this:
They're very obviously, visibly derived from oil paintings done in the prior to 1900, if they're coherent at all. That "pretty okay" one was the third out of 5 renders; the rest were gibberish.
If you're getting a fully detailed digital painting out of your model, then buddy, that's made with stolen art. You both can and should have spent whatever subscription fee you have on a $20 commission from someone on tumblr.
But let's say you're only using it for things you would have gotten for free from a meme generator or a dollmaker or whatever. Fine. I don't care. No one cares about you, person who wants a discord icon for their 18th RP character on a server with 25 users.
You, individual reading this, are not one of the two main problems with AI art.
First: the labour issue. Major companies are unironically firing all their artists. Video game set designers, film effects animators, book cover illustrators, all of it. On the unfounded assumption that the work of these artists can be replaced with cheaper AI.
A thing which is not true, because AI cannot actually create consistent pieces on novel themes with coherent details.
But it'll take years before the major publishing houses, studios, etc realize their mistake and people will fucking die of poverty between now and then.
This shit will ruin lives, in exchange for janked up copies of artists' work that never could have been made without them in the first place.
But instead of copyright being used correctly to help these artists get safe and steady employment, it's being abused by IP holders like Disney etc to say that they already own all the work output of the artist anyway (and legally, they do!), so they can do with it as they please.
Which is why it is so horrible to think that artists may be tricked into supporting stronger IP laws, when those are the very cause of this problem.
Second: the environmental issue. Unless you are running an offline model entirely on hardware you own, your AI images are generated at massive data farms. The kind formerly used for cryptocurrency mining. With all the environmental hell that implies regarding cooling, electricity usage, rare earth metal contamination, etc etc.
Finally, as a little bonus, let me just say: get disabled people out of your fucking mouths, both goddamn sides. The fact that some disabled people have the luck and opportunity to learn to create despite their disabilities does not mean the rest of the disabled population owes you the same struggle, what the fuck is wrong with you people?
so a huge list of artists that was used to train midjourney’s model got leaked and i’m on it
literally there is no reason to support AI generators, they can’t ethically exist. my art has been used to train every single major one without consent lmfao 🤪
