Tyndale Life Application Daily Devotion

Devotional for March 18th
I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! — Psalm 116:1-2
Insight
God is so responsive that you can always reach him. He bends down and listens to your voice. This writer's love for the Lord had grown because he had experienced answers to his prayers.
Challenge
If you are discouraged, remember that God is near, listening carefully to every prayer and answering each prayer in order to give you his best.

Hope For the Best, Even If It Looks Like Things are At Their Worst
“Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.” (Psalms 119:116 NKJV) Perhaps because he was so intimate with God, David had a unique perspective about God’s word. He saw it as more than something to read in church, and even more than a book of wisdom that helped him understand how to live. We sometimes just hit the high spots in David’s biography…

God is Merciful
Psalm 116:1-5. I love the LORD, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live. As another one of the Egyptian Hallel Psalms (Psalms 113-118), sung by Jesus with His disciples on the night of His betrayal and arrest (Matthew 26:30 and Mark 14:26), we can say with G. Campbell Morgan: “Whatever the…

Working the Grimorium Verum (P1)
A few weeks ago I decided that I was going to start working the Grimorium Verum. I read and reread and rereread the Grimoire and as much supplemental material as I could get my hands on (I'm referring to all of JsK's pdf books by Hadean Press and that one conjure codex entry by Al Cumins).
Goal/Intent
With that said my primary goal right now is to work towards creating a clay skull, created to the specs Jsk outlined in his notes on the Grimoire in his edition of the book. It is essentially reworking the invisibility spell of the second part into a spell that binds a spirit to the skull. Rather, in his words, "I strongly recommend making a crossroads the place of interment in a reconstruction of this rite using seven coins. The intention of this adaptation would be to make a magical head as a central feature of work with these spirits, a natural extension of the underlying symbolism," (The True Grimoire 160). The only change I am doing to what JsK states is that I am adding grave dirt to the clay for the skull.
The Work I've done thus far
Wednesday, 8/16/23, I began working to get the consecrating the materials necessary for the work. I started the second hour of Mercury at my local graveyard in my town. I asked the spirits of the graveyard to lead me to the grave most suited for my work. I was expecting to be led to a town founder or someone who died violently, rather they sent me to the grave of an old lady who died a hundred years ago on my birthday. This was not intentional on my end. I saw the grave from behind and I felt as though I was being pushed towards it and that it was the right choice for the work. I took the dirt left a coin and promised to pray for her for the next three nights.
I then got home as fast as possible so I could have the second half to craft and consecrate the Asperger and Aspergillus. For the Asperger, I used a black ceramic bowl that I painted the appropriate god names on. For the aspergillus, I took the three herbs, rosemary, (pepper)mint, and oregano (technically you are supposed to use Majoram, but I could not find any in my area and I plan to get the proper plant in the future, but for now both are closely related and I don't think it will do much harm to my work). I consecrated them according to the method in the Third part of the grimoire. Reciting the 7 penitential psalms took long than I thought it would.
Thursday, 8/17/23, in the second hour of Jupiter I engraved a spoon and a knife with Heramael's name and seal. The intention is based out of Goetic Pharamakos, by Jsk where they are used to collect plants in nature for me to work with, such as the branches for the wands. In the 1 night hour of Jupiter I consecrated the two items, however, I slightly adapted the consecration from Jsk's book on Eleogap so that it was to be a general consecration instead of an asperger and aspergillus consecration. The difference between it and the Grimoire's consecration is that it is Thelemic and instead of the psalms it uses chapters 3 and 5 from Liber LXV, which I thought would mean it would be shorter, well it was in the sense that for all things that after you waft the tools of the censer, you are supposed to recite the 7 psalms and psalm 71 and 116, so 21 psalms in total. Personally, I think there is a point where the more you recite over a ritual object the less of an effect it has on it. I could be wrong. Anyhow, below are pictures of the spoon and knife before I consecrated them.

If you have read this far. I thank you and apologize for the length and potential boringness of this blog post. My goal is to generate interest in the grimoire that is less about conjuring all the spirits in it and more about creating spirit relationships. As well as to document my progress and create discussion.

Many have been taught - contrary to The Word of God - that it is wrong to pray that God’s will be done. Long ago I was taught that to ask according to His will was to cancel out your prayer. But in fact, biblically what it does is cancel out your own will. No where in scripture are we taught to pray according to our will and to speak it until it manifests. This is witchcraft.
Let me explain…
Biblically, to prayerfully express The Father’s good pleasure is to pray for HIS will to be done. In order to pray His according to His will we can either ask for it be done (as Jesus did) “Your will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven.” OR we can pray according to His revealed written will as it is - in His Word. John instructs in 1 John 5:14: “And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Any time we are praying about a specific situation, and it’s not something we can be sure exactly how God has willed that specific situation to turn out, we can trust that when we pray as Jesus instructed, it will turn out perfectly, in God’s strategic plan, way, and timing.
God’s will is in His Word.
When we have a good understanding of His Word, then we have a good understanding of His heart, His mind, and His will - and it’s so much easier to know how to pray in most situations. Knowing His Word is what gives us this “confidence” that John speaks of - that our prayer will be answered.
God will not answer a prayer that is contrary to His will/Word. At times this can be confusing, for example, we know God wills that people are healed - however - we do not know His will concerning the timing of that healing or what that healing will look like. The person could die - and that is still healing - because in death we become whole - and that is why psalm 116:15 says that “precious in the eyes of God is the death of His Saints (All of His loved ones.)” Death means that this persons struggles and pain are over and they have finished their race and are resting forevermore with their Father.
The death of God’s loved ones is further explained in Isaiah 57:1, which says that His loved ones often die before their time - but no one seems to understand or care that God is protecting them from evil to come… and Revelation 14:13 says “Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. for they will rest from their hard work and their good deeds follow them!”
So at times, those who do not have God’s Word written on their heart will not have a clear understanding of how to pray - and then they are disillusioned when their prayers are not answered.
And also for this reason of not understanding God’s Word, many pray their own will - and at times God will give them their will to help them learn how to know that His will is best. That happened to me years ago on several occasions. This is what taught me to search the Word and know it, and to love His will over my own.
James 4:3 explains very clearly that when we ask for things in prayer, and we don’t get it, it’s because our motives are all wrong — we only want our own will - and what we think is best according to our very human understanding and not according to God’s.
I love this statement I read this morning that says “Not pleading with the Father, but expressing the Father's good pleasure is the key-note of true intercession.” (David Head)
This is so true, because choosing our own will over God’s will is rebellion. And that is why “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord...” 1st Samuel 15:23

He Has The Remedy
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ John 8:47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”
=========================
VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+ Psalm 116:1-2 I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM LISTENING
I AM FOLLOWING CHRIST
CHRIST HAS THE SOLUTION
I AM HOLDING HIS HAND
========================
READ TIME: 8 Minutes & 39 Seconds
========================
THOUGHTS:
=======================
When we were all in school, we had math classes, and I can remember algebra class, and it was tough coming up with the solution. I remember having this paper and a sharp pencil sitting there figuring out the solution, and sometimes I didn't come up with the right one, which was even more frustrating the more I tried it; I still couldn’t get it, and my teacher would get on the board and explain the solution step by step she would take her time, and as I saw her do this I’m like it’s no way I can ever do this I don’t know why she's even asking us to do this I can't do it,
I wanted to give up because the solution to every algebra problem was long. I felt defeated, and as the weeks went on, I learned how to come up with it, but it took me time to watch her and go from step to step slowly and look at her as I did it. I had to stay focused on her because I don’t think I could’ve done it on my own.
This is just like our Father who is in heaven; he has the remedy, the solution to everything; it's just up to us to keep our eyes on him and trust him through the difficult stages of every part of our lives a lot of time we don’t know what we are doing because we lose focus or we think that he doesn’t know what he's talking about. Still, God knows about everything we have a problem with, and he has seen it all before; we haven’t, but he has the solution and the remedy to it all; it's up to us to follow every step he’s given to the letter.
Proverbs 3:5- 6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.do not depend on your understanding.Seek his will in all you do,and he will show you which path to take.
Jesus will show us the right path if we take it and walk with him; a lot of times when I messed up on my algebra problem, it was because I wanted to take shortcuts and figure things out on my own but what we must understand that we can't take short cuts with God we can try to do this in every area of our life but doing this with our walk with Christ can be difficult because we are taking our eyes off of him, we can't do this friend,.
We must seek his will so that the steps we take will add up to the path he wants us on often times we don’t know what he wants because we aren’t paying attention the Bible tells us don’t depend on your understanding when we are unsure about life we must count on the one that is for sure which is God he knows our most significant hurt and the solution to the most challenging things all we must do is ask him.
Verse 7-8: Don’t be impressed with your wisdom.Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.
We can't count on what we know to get us the solution to our problems because we don’t know, but when we count on him, he will guide us slowly through our hiccups; the word says to turn away from evil; we can't count on this world to lead us I tried everything to get me the correct answers to my problems when I was doing algebra , but I still had no success.
Still, when I focused on the steps and wrote them down, I could quickly finish the problems because I was watching my teacher do the work; watching someone who knows and listening to someone who knows shouldn’t make us feel less but should make us understand that we can do as much as we can alone. Still, we will always need God to hold our hands, and that’s what he wants us to do in everything.
This week, we talked about being partakers, and sometimes we feel we have to be partakers in this world to get ahead or to feel included, but we don’t have to; every day, we must give our sleeves to Christ so that we can remain in him because disconnected from him we can't do anything but as long as we are reading our word praying and mediating we can do everything through his strength because its his strength that strengths us.
Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who strengthens me.
It might be hard to listen to God because we want to do everything on our sleeves, but we must listen to God even when it hurts; we talked about this week how obedience hurts, and it sometimes hurts because we have to let go of a lot of things we use to do ,but when we finally realize what God is trying to do in our lives we learn that we will be okay and the solution , it might seem complicated, but it isn’t.
• Psalm 119:60 I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.
* John 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my father, and I will love and manifest myself to him.”
* John 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
To walk in the commands of God it takes maturity because, as babes in Christ, we sometimes want to do our own thing; we want God to follow us, but we can't have this kind of mindset; everything we do must be growing in him and changing in him, and as we change in him, we began to see what he wants for us is what's best for us it might not feel this way at the time.
Still, as long as we are waiting on him and growing in him, we will see what he wants is what's best, and that’s how we grow in him in maturity; we can't be on milk forever; we have to begin to grow and be on more solid foods, how many of you are ready for solid foods, how many of you want to walk in the calling God has for you , well we can't do this until we start listening and obeying him.
Ephesians 5:2: Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
**** Today we learned about how to follow Christ for the solution and that we don’t know the solution, we don’t know the way, but he did; going step by step and listening to him is the only way to obey God; we don’t know the way, he might give us his will, but we still must go back to him to hear if we are going the right way .
No matter how much I have written down the solution I still got it wrong why because I was missing the small steps and God doesn’t want us to miss the small thing he wants us to continue to walk in and be obedient children, we all want to know our way but we don’t know the way if we won't listen to the true way and Christ is the way, not this world not fancy house and cars, but knowing God and seeking him is the true way to a peaceful life; today, if you find it difficult for you , ask him to show you the solution because he has the answer. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father, we thank you for having the solution to our problems. We ask you to help us to hear you when you speak, lord we are sorry if we did anything that’s not of you; help us to take our walk step by step with you! Lord, we love you so much, and thank you for everything. Lord, we love you so much. Help us through the rough parts of our lives, lord; we don’t know everything, but we know you do; please lead us into what you want from us in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Proverbs of Solomon
1 The wise sayings of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel. 2 To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason: 3 To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour: 4 To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose: 5 (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:) 6 To get the sense of wise sayings and secrets, and of the words of the wise and their dark sayings. 7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.
Advice to a Son
8 My son, give ear to the training of your father, and do not give up the teaching of your mother: 9 For they will be a crown of grace for your head, and chain-ornaments about your neck. 10 My son, if sinners would take you out of the right way, do not go with them. 11 If they say, Come with us; let us make designs against the good, waiting secretly for the upright, without cause; 12 Let us overcome them living, like the underworld, and in their strength, as those who go down to death; 13 Goods of great price will be ours, our houses will be full of wealth; 14 Take your chance with us, and we will all have one money-bag: 15 My son, do not go with them; keep your feet from their ways: 16 For their feet are running after evil, and they are quick to take a man's life. 17 Truly, to no purpose is the net stretched out before the eyes of the bird: 18 And they are secretly waiting for their blood and making ready destruction for themselves. 19 Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.
The Good Woman—Wisdom
20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places; 21 Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town: 22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge? 23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you. 24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand; 25 You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words: 26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear; 27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you. 28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me: 29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord: 30 They had no desire for my teaching, and my words of protest were as nothing to them. 31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full. 32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace of the foolish will be their destruction. 33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil. — Proverbs 1 | Bible in Basic English (BBE) The Bible in Basic English is in the public domain.
