I don't understand why anybody would spend $700 on a PS5 Pro. Once you're paying that price you might as well get into PC gaming and open yourself up to a more open platform. Most PS5 games are already on PC anyway

I'm sad I won't be able to play Monster Hunter Wilds for. a long time because my 1000€ PC I got about 2 years ago isn't good enough to run it at decent settings... :')

Gaming has gotten so insanely expensive, I can't really play the games I want to anymore. I had to scrape my money together and supplement it with my god damn tax return in order to get a PS5 a couple years ago. Not one of the nice ones either, I could only get a refurbished one with the lowest memory available and it came with one controller. So now I have this thing I spent about $600 on two years ago that I can only play MAYBE five games on before needing to wipe them from the system if I wanted to play a different game; or if the fucking SYSTEM ITSELF needed 25GB of fucking space for an UPDATE. I go into the system storage, and at least half of it is taken up by the operating system like its a fucking Apple product.

As if that wasn't enough.

In the two years I've had it, the joysticks on the controller for the thing worn down to nubs. I looked up to see how much a new controller would cost only to see they're SEVENTY-FUCKING-FIVE DOLLARS. I remember a couple years after the xbox360 came out, you could get a PAIR of brand new controllers for $50.

The gaming industry used to cut prices after a system had been out for a few years. I had gotten a PS2 for full price at $300 when they first came out, and then maybe five years later I was able to get an even better functioning smaller version of the PS2 for barely $175.

Now they realized they can keep systems the same exact price, and just make the new stuff coming out even more expensive. And because there's so many rich tech bros out there who will pay whatever price it costs in order to have their perfect game set up, they still get the sales they want to get away with it.

The fact that "new game" is nowadays equal to "new hardware" is sickening. You want to play a new game, or perhaps a sequel to a game you liked? 160 Gb disk space and 32 Gb RAM please! Pleasure doing business! Sickening.
