My notes: Doing the characters was really fun, and some Aeons were really cool to draw. And I could do different wallpapers or even stickers.

Alright I told someone I would give propaganda for these two so here we go. As a warning, I didn't play mobile or Re-Mind soooooooo. Yeah there's that. I know they're apparently involved in past stuff but shhh.

So first off, everyone's weapon is super useful! Except theirs. Which I always thought was really funny? Even in Re:CoM Zexion's book was more direct than these two. I really enjoyed them just as the most indirect fighters? And figured they'd be pretty chill and after playing KH2 as a kid I'm like. I think Luxord would be most tolerable to music while vibing. He could play Solitaire or something while Demyx played music and possibly chatted. Therefore, my younger self was like "it's perfect".

ALSO CONSIDERING THEIR NUMBERS! And the line in KH3 during the scene where Demyx is like "yup I got benched", they've probably got a history. However, the number they get originally is supposed to be the order they joined. So with Marluxia and Larxene obviously tied together in the past, all I can think of is these two just being absolute bums wandering around pre-Organization and just hitch hiking their way into a cult. Which is also REALLY funny to me because what if they joined at the same time but Demyx got to be IX and Luxord is X.

Demyx would hold his rank over his head for the dumbest stuff (in my head canons of the past).

Like there's so many things we specifically do not know about these two so basically, until I'm proven absolutely incorrect in game (which might have happened and I just don't know) ! I think they'd be a good match.

And I mean, it's also just (gestures) LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ARE. Great designs and I think that's good enough for me!

#kingdom hearts #demyx #luxord #i really just looked at these losers when i played kh2 on ps2 and was like wow they should kiss #and now im many years older and i am still like wow they should kiss #also i was telling my sister i was trying to come up with propaganda doodles and im like #yeah its two guys what more would the kh fandom need ya know #and she looks at me and goes did you really just say they're two guys thats enough #and i was ??? YEAH?????? FOR KH? theres like ten girls and ten games what more do i get to work with #and she sat there listing games in the series (she hasn't played any but she watched me play 1 and 2)#and counted eight and then i listed some more and she was like ok you know what thats fair #but that said she said the funniest thing ever that i NEED to draw but its too late for tonight #so you guys will get more of them at some point #also im still amused that luxord in kh3 appears after demyx says hes benched #and proceeds to say WELL AT LEAST I WASNT BENCHED like super casually and demyx just ouch you were listening thats rude #like they're supposed to be vessels and yet they still manage to have a bicker moment over importance of roles

I was mostly emulating older consoles on pc actually. I was raised on piracy >:3

#I didn't have any of the current consoles at that time #I only got to play gamecube at my cousins' place #I had one friend with a ps2 #and have never even seen an original xbox in my life #at some point I bought an n64 second hand #and a year or so after the Wii released I got that for Sinterklaas which is like dutch Christmas but we do also have Christmas #in our family we just didn't give gifts for it #now that we're all adults we've stopped doing Sinterklaas and might give the occasional gift on Christmas #this year my sister got me the special edition of A Muppet Christmas Carol on DVD #which I already own fshfxsd #but the sentiment is nice<3

#drakengard really straddles rhe line between sorta corny early 2000s ps2 voice acting and genuinely upsetting performance #when manah is asking to be killed and it starts off w the deep voice and just keeps going until its just her voice. a little girls voice #and then finding out thats seeres sister. like shes jsut some girl that got lost falls down a d hits my heaf really really hard

I wanna flesh out a yakuza oc but every time I think about it I end up thinking about an oc of mine who already Exists who’s not a yakuza oc. but is, in fact, an oc who is a yakuza. and that fact is genuinely completely unrelated

#he existed WAY before I started playing yakuza or knew really anything about it #actually he contributes to why I got into yakuza to begin with. cause when my friend first showed me y0 I was like ough… my character #grew up in this exact environment and culture and structure and etc (son of a patriarch)#so it was legitimately a good reference for his background and stuff #I kinda wanna talk about him/his background more on here but. like i said he’s. not technically a yakuza oc #and he can’t be because he. canonically. has PLAYED yakuza. like the games EXIST cause it’s just a normal real world type universe and #I won’t get into all this much but he ends up in the states on the dl for Reasons. accidentally ends up with a son when he’s 22 (son’s #mother being significantly younger but again we’re not gonna get into THAT mess). ends up seeing the first game being sold somewhere in nyc #and is unable to restrain his curiosity about it (as an Actual Yakuza) so he ends up getting his son a ps2 for his birthday partly just #as an excuse to buy and play yakuza 1 because he NEEDS to know what’s in it #something something it ends up being a weird bonding thing with his son who’s definitely too young to be watching this game being played #(he was born the same year as haruka so he’d be like. 8-9. also already a concerningly violent child with many issues but. anyway)#something something he ends up disappearing out of the blue from the states when his son is 12 but the pastime still sticks for said son #from then on. so uh. yeah weirdly significant that these games Exist in this story/universe bdsjhfdfjnd #idk why I’m avoiding saying his name. his name’s asura. he’s a year or two older than daigo (born 1974) and his family’s supposed to be a #pretty powerful one in the tokyo area and he was supposed to be a nepo baby sorta like daigo except he’s not Technically an only child- he #has a much younger sister. but obviously she wasn’t gonna be considered for taking over their father’s seat nor would she want to #she wants absolutely nothing to do with any of it and changes her last name pretty soon after moving to the US to get away from them #no beef with her brother or anything she was just treated absolutely horribly and disgustingly by older members of their family growing up #ANYWAY I should stop talking bdshshcbsnnf I didn’t mean to infodump all this the lore is just. deep with these guys #Asura wasn’t even made to be a particularly prominent character or anything it’s his SON who’s a Bonafide Main Character and asura’s ties in #the story are mostly related to Him. (though his sister is also a pretty prominent character so there’s connection there too)#rambling #also one more note. yes. the timing and location of where asura would’ve first bought yakuza 1 means that it would most likely be the #infamous original english dub version. which is hilarious to think about #especially because his son’s mom (I keep calling her that because they weren’t really in a Relationship they just co-parented and lived #together a little less than half the time. it’s complicated) Did Not Approve of a game that Adult around their kid. so she would not be fond #of walking in the room and hearing TEN YEARS IN THE JOINT MADE YOU A FUCKING PUSSY #luckily she was so young and considered her son a lost cause and a burden as it is so. she complained but didn’t really do anything about #it. I mean shit she was like. only around 24-25 I think. but yeah

sometimes i see these super funny posts about the sims 1 and i'm sad i never played it

#i was like three when it came out so i was a ts2 girlie #and played it religiously with my sisters for years even after ts3 had come out #still the best sims game to this day <3 #our dad bought us all the expansion packs <3 #he bought us a lot of video games in general. like there's like four full big boxes of ps2 games stored in my parents' house somewhere #there's some that were never even opened 😭#anyway id love to try out ts1 some day if it's possible??#i feel like ive missed something very iconic #💬

#all hail the fisherprice casette player/tape recorder (1992 version)#many a 90s baby's first electronic device #after this i had various radios & stereos or tapeplayers bc again the 90s #then i got a walkman cd player #and then a nokia cell phone that wasn't a flip phone #then i think it was laptop #but it might have been rhe ipod nano first & then the laptop #and that takes us all the way throug high school in terms of personal electronics if we don't count video game systems or shared items #(my sister & i had a shared desktop for several years before getting laptops in high school)#(and I had various iterations of gameboy as well as shared n64 & ps2 & eventually a wii)

i know i'm talking a lot ooc tonight, and i won't stop i fear... anyway it's a wonder i'm not more into scifi when x.enosaga was one of my childhood hyperfixations. i'm listening to the second game's soundtrack and the utter joy i feel bc of the nostalgia!! like i wish it had more of a following vs. being a cult classic bc i'd support a remaster so heckin fast :' )))
