Mentor and Mentee

Rasha sat at the table in the study room chewing her nails nervously.  She had been pulled out of class for the new student mentoring program.  She was told the name Fiona Coyne - the first name unfamiliar, but she recognized the last name.  Unsure what it was going to entail, she brought her bag and laptop along before sitting in the room.  If she was being honest, sure, she was struggling in some of her classes but she wasn’t sure if mentoring was going to help.  But she was willing to try.  

Spotting someone open the door, she tried to paste a smile on her face before standing up to greet the person.  “Hello, I am Rasha Zuabi.”  She said quietly.

a headcanon involving someone else

back during her party days tori would call fiona and luke interchangeably (and sometimes together) when she’d take things a bit too far. toward the end it became so routine, that neither of them were really phased when she’d call stranded in a penthouse suite after trying shrooms with with her foreign drug dealers, or wobbling down bainbridge avenue on her five inch stilts at 2 am on a tuesday. they’d just drag her home, put her to bed, and warn her not to puke on their parent’s antique oriental rug.

Tori raked her fork through the whipped cream on her tiramisu. Her appetite had been kind of low these past few days, and was replaced instead by the incessant churning in the pit of her stomach whenever she thought about Saturday’s events. She felt humiliated, all dressed up in a stupid dress she shouldn’t have even bothered buying, ordering a second plate of sushi she hardly even touched, just to be stood up at the end of it all. When she heard the doorbell chime through her house she instantly hopped up from her spot on the couch. She smiled at her friend as she unlocked the door, genuinely happy to see her even if things had been a little weird between them in the past few weeks. Fiona was perhaps the only person she felt she could truly talk about it with, and with her dads out of town and out of earshot, she had a feeling she was about to spill her guts. “You got here just in time, I was about to put your food in the microwave, Gabi’s asleep upstairs--” she informed the older girl, handing her a little baggie from their favorite Italian restaurant as she plunked herself right down beside her and her half eaten tiramisu. “So she stood me up..” the brunette  said plainly, blinking her dark lashes as she glanced over at Fiona. She knew it was at least customary for them to go back and forth about their outfits and complain about school a little before they got right into it, but she couldn’t help it. It was all she had thought about.

this song describes tori’s recent dealings with having to face the repercussions of her actions from before she left town, most specifically with what happened with @milligcn. she’s quickly learning that there’s no escaping her bad karma, and that only the truth can truly set you free.

through her vivacious exterior tori struggles with her mother’s abandonment and is to this day trying to find ways to cope with the fact that she doesn’t seem to be coming back. these feelings also inevitably foster a little resentment for her dad and stepfather.

tori and @mrzigmundnovak‘s relationship has been a sort of rollercoaster from the start, the difference in their social classes managing to make itself a factor more than once.  still, she believes zig, at his core, is a good guy and is determined to show him not everyone from her world is so terrible.

before gabriella, tori was headed down a self-destructive path. but when she learned that she was going to be having a baby, someone that would need her and depend on her completely, it gave her the motivation to clean up her act and be an all around better person

even though she was the source of the problems in their relationship, tori has come to find that she’s still soft for @andrcwtorrcs. to her he’ll always be her first boyfriend, the person that saw the best in her even when she was at her worst. and upon her return to toronto one of the things at the top of her to-do list was to make things right.

tori and @mxllxgxn‘s relationship has been complicated by many things, her cheating on her ex with him, her rift with his brother, and especially their conjoined carelessness that led to a girl’s assault at a party. now that she’s changed tori can’t help but feel like owen enables a side of her that she’s trying to escape, but she also knows deep down that he’s one of the only people that really gets her.
