Aight so, since it's only a matter of when people start writing fics about the protoframes, I wanna make something clear about Lettie's profession so she hopefully doesn't get the Overwatch Mercy treatment.

Have any of yall ever met a combat medic? Like, a real, military combat medic. I have, and there are 2 very important things I have learned about them that you should know:

1) They are the saltiest motherfuckers on earth when you give them a reason to have to do their jobs (when it's not urgent). You gotta be tough as nails to be willing and able to be a combat medic, and none of the ones I've met were known to suffer fools (of which, they'll happily tell you, there are many). They're not unkind, they just have a low tolerance for bullshit. God help you if you come to them needing medical attention because you did something stupid; medics have some fuckin stories about dumb shit they've had to treat patients for.

2) They will run into the jaws of hell and snatch you right out of the Grim Reaper's hands. Their troops may be idiots, but they're their idiots, and they will make sure the enemy and death itself have to fight them tooth and nail for their patient. There's a good goddamn reason why the Marines, who famously hate being reminded the USMC is part of the Navy, respect their corpsman (Navy medic embedded with Marines) as much as they do.

SO. Can we please do Lettie some justice? (Idk if she's the type, but the thought of her swearing like a sailor as she berates one of the Hex for crashing their Atomicycle while trying to do a barrel roll --after she specifically told them not to-- makes me laugh)

Xaku 1999 Protoframe. Their name is Alex. Yeah, I have some ideas about their chracter and stuff, but Xaku's concept is pretty complex... this was an attempt to give my fav frame the proto treatment - and I am not sure if I like how it came out - neither concept, nor art wise. Eh... I am just generally uninspired lately. That will go by too I am sure.

I absolutely love the Xaku Kagura skin btw. But beside the mask I think it'd be really difficult to transform the entire skin into a protoframe.

Aaaaanyway... I will no longer be posting my stuff on twitter for now - for reasons that should be obvious.

Sevagoth: 1999

(some tidbits on this design under cut)

"Casimir" is the name of my own Sevagoth, and also his loadout. he's my main.

"Traugutt" is the surname of the leader of the 1863 January Uprising. i mostly picked it because 1. it sounds cool 2. Casimir (technically Kazimierz but Casimir is the English translation) is also a name that is significant in polish history, being borne by several kings of Poland, so this name is a double whammy

the Shadow is his nervous system. the in-game Shadow is said to be formed from pure Void energy, and considering this guy is a protoframe i doubt he'd have enough aptitude to form such a sophisticated body out of pure energy. plus the in-game Shadow is very skeletal, so picking another easily-recognizable system of the human body seemed like a no-brainer (get it? because its a brain????)

i like to think he was a history teacher before The Plague Year happened. now he's been forced not just to endure historical events live, but deal with a goddamned time traveller who turned him into a pirate ninja zombie robot. fun!
