Rated: T
Pairing: Gen, Akako & Kaito, Akako & Hakuba
Word Count: ~1k
A/N: A bit of canon-typical violence
Akako was willing to let a lot go. Despite what Kuroba may say, she has patience. She has a lot of patience. It’s honestly amazing just how patient she is.
This is where her patience snaps. Her fists tighten.
There wasn’t really a lot to do today. It was saturday and Akako planned for it to be a quiet day. She’d watch a few movies she’s been putting off, eat popcorn, and maybe use her crystal ball to check in on Kuroba’s heist. But during the second movie, she feels an uncomfortable pinch. A feeling she can’t explain, one she’s never felt before, but something similar to a hose being bent and the water being forced to a trickle. She scrambles from the couch, calling her crystal ball to her and waving it through her friends. Aoko is in her kitchen, humming with the news of the night’s KID heist in the background. Hakuba is running outside, fear in his eyes. Kuroba is hanging off a fence, the spike of it sticking out through his back and blood seeping from the tear in his jacket to the dirt. His hang glider is splayed out beside him, broken and useless. He is going to die. It pings through Akako, the pinch now a burn, and she knows with certainty he won’t live past this night unless she intervenes. One of his crows has finally managed to break his wings and hold him so he can’t escape. Except this crow has apparently become a shrike. Her teeth grit. Her fists tighten. Before she fully thinks of it, she is by Kaito’s side.
The first thing she registers is the noises Kuroba is making. Small whines and quick, labored breaths. The second thing she registers is a gunshot and the sound of Hakuba crumpling. The third is a large man, wearing a black fedora and trench coat. Kuroba’s unlucky shrike. When the man turns back to Kuroba, he jumps.
“Where the fuck did you come from?” He snarls, raising the pistol he’d used to shoot Kuroba and Hakuba to align with her heart. She gives it an unimpressed look.
“Hell,” Akako says, looking up at him with a smile. She’s lying, of course. Tea with Lucifer only happens on the third friday of a month, and this is the beginning of the month. The man’s lip curls.
“Akako?” Hakuba whispers, looking up, and Akako inclines her head. It was enough already to have her magic tell her Hakuba wasn’t dead. She appreciates the confirmation nonetheless.
“Then let me send you back,” he says and pulls the trigger. The bullet flies toward her, its path and their close distance no doubt allowing for great damage and most likely death. If she were normal. If she weren’t a powerful witch. (Quite possibly the most powerful red witch alive, if you ask her.) But she is not normal, and is in fact quite pissed off at this man damaging two of her favourite things, so she stands still in the path of the bullet instead of dodging so this man can see just how much damage his little toy does not do. The man’s jaw drops when all it causes is a brief stumble, the force rocking her back as the bullet clatters harmlessly to the pavement. He fires twice more with the same results, his hand shaking. One of the bullets flies slightly off course and nearly strikes Kuroba. She mutters a spell and the bullet oozes to the ground, the kinetic energy transferring to thermal and melting the iron. The man drops the gun.
“Finished?” Akako asks with a smirk, flicking her wrist to send the gun spinning toward Hakuba before the man can say anything. He splutters, eyes snapping to the gun before returning to her. When she takes a step forward he takes a step back. “Are you afraid of me? Good.”
He glares at her, angered. “I don’t know who or what the fuck you are, but you don’t know who you’re messing with. I am part of a very powerful organization.”
Akako laughs, hand over her mouth like one of those 90s villains in the magical girl animes Aoko and Kuroba like to watch so much. He flinches back a step and she takes a breath to reign herself in. Or at least reign in the laughter. There’s been enough holding back, she thinks. She’s allowed the organization to play, because she knows Kuroba likes the show and Hakuba likes the chase. Because she doesn’t make a habit of placing her hands within dishes which don’t concern her. But they have very much made themselves her problem now, and she thinks maybe she has let them play for too long.
“You think what hides in the shadows is true power,” Akako says, tilting her head. “But you’ve never witnessed it before. Never seen even a taste of what they have you chase. None of you have, but they will all learn.”
“For who I am, I am no Kaitou KID, nor am I a mistaken curse like Pandora. I am not some crow hiding in the shadows, make-pretending power.” Akako straightens, expression flat but fierce. Her eyes flash like blood, like violence, like impending doom. “I am a true magician and I do not like having my things broken. I am a descendant of Sekhmet and I take my payments in blood.”
The man pales behind the shadows of his fedora. “You don’t even have a weapon,” he spits, wavered.
Akako smiles. “Cute. You think I need a weapon.” She waves her hand and the shrike falls to his knees, hacking up black bile. Akako turns to Kuroba, and her mind stutters a moment on his impalement. Disease she can do, but healing is something the Koizumi line lost long ago. All she can do is send him to the hospital and hope they are quick enough.
“Hakuba,” Akako says.
“Yes?” Hakuba says, looking away from the shrike to her. She looks him over, checks for where the blood pools. It’s in his side. The bullet which hung Kuroba truly was simply a lucky shot.
Or, perhaps, a very unlucky shot.
“Watch over Kuroba. And perhaps tell him you found him there after a watchful eye sent a note to your own room?” Akako says. Akako asks. Hakuba nods. “We wouldn’t want him to throw a tantrum.”
“He can be quite a kid when the mood strikes him,” Hakuba agrees with a pained smirk. The way he’s only looked at Kuroba once doesn’t escape her notice. “And you, Lady Akako?”
“I have work to do,” Akako says and sends them off, only KID’s suit left behind, impaled on a spike.
The sun rises in the morning with reports of several buildings razed to the ground, leaving nothing but ash in their wake; multiple cases of spontaneous combustion; and one unlucky dead man in a highrise, face locked in pain and diseased lines of red scarred deep into his skin, all leading out from a javelin-like wound in his torso.
Later that morning a first grader gets a packet filled with several files of research with a note taped to it, telling her it’s from “one fate-breaker to another”.
Kuroba Kaito wakes several days later to two worried parents, a worried sister, a detective in a cast, and one witch. He stares at the witch in surprise and says nothing when she tells him he’ll have to continue his search without the crow’s aid.

It's funny that Gosho accidentally wrote Aoko being in love with Akako and Hakuba as a bit gay with Kaito, if he was trying to make HakuAka canon he failed. With shippers it's the obsession with pairing everyone up and putting two attractive people together. Also some don't like yuri or rival/enemies to lovers.
I see them having a kind of solidarity over being School Idols and the most admired boy and girl at Ekoda High School (see Valentines episode/chapter). They both like Kaito and Aoko a lot too so an alliance to keep them both safe and friend of a friend (at least with Nakamori Aoko).
I think the problems with HakuAka are that both Hakuba and Akako haven't had enough screen time together, and when they did, it was only to support Kaito.
I like Akako and Hakuba better with Kaito or Aoko because they have a more fun or interesting dynamic than with each other.
I mean, my mind can't imagine them beyond sitting quietly drinking tea or walking together arm in arm like a very silent victory couple, I can't think of them talking beyond exchanging pleasantries.
Gosho needs to give them more interactions if he wants that to work, and fix the problem of Kaito being the only person who can resist Akako's spell. I can't think of Hakuba's feelings for Akako as true because of that, it also doesn't help that Akako does have romantic feelings for Kaito.
Akako has shown genuine concern for Kaito and Aoko, enough to even consider using her magic to protect them both.
Tumblr media
Magic Kaito - Chapter 24. Shinichi almost turns into ashes just for trying to catch KID.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magic Kaito - Chapter 29 Akako offered to accompany Aoko when she received that suspicious invitation and told Kaito not to go, she planned to protect both Kaito and Aoko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Akako has shown that she truly cares for these two, if you compare it to her interactions with Hakuba… it leaves a lot to be desired, or at least that's how it is in my eyes.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, Hakuba has a hyper focus on Kaito and shows concern for him.
Tumblr media
And the fact that Hakuba not only likes Aoko, but they exchanged numbers and seem to call each other frequently, unlike with Akako, in Sun Halo Hakuba looks surprised that she calls him.
Tumblr media
Akako only calls him Kaito, lmao.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Aoko and he seem to text each other frequently.
Tumblr media
Chapter 39.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 16.
It wasn't Gosho's intention, but even though Hakuba has Akako's number, their relationship seems very distant, contrary to how it is seen with Aoko. What makes it worse is that the only direct interaction between them that we see is only because of Kaito. Even if he likes her, in my eyes their relationship is pretty forgettable. In conclusion, I think people should ship them if they like, but you can't deny the lack of development they have, I honestly can't take them seriously as a couple.
Tumblr media
I think of Kaito as AoSagu's shipper. I know that's not the panel's intention, but I don't care.

Akako x Aoko headcanons? Aoko's crush is so obvious and I love Akako gradually warming up to her. Aoko being Akako's first true friend, unlike other girls she finds Akako cute more than arrogant. Aoko likes magic tricks so Akako trusts her with real magic as part intimacy and part showing off. Started with her protecting Aoko as well as looking out for Kaito/Kid because she likes Kaito and she's one his most important people and closest/oldest friend but turned into her protecting Kaito because Aoko loves him (not meant romantically) and she likes Aoko too and would protect her purely because she's 'Nakamori-san' and calls her 'Akako-chan'. Aoko is so powerful, she made Akako-sama blush!
Tumblr media
I find it so funny to think that Akako has so many guys praising her and calling her "Akako-sama" and then along comes this sweet girl who just smiles at her and can't help but think and tell her that she's cute while so casually calling her "Akako-chan." It's so true, Aoko is undoubtedly powerful.
to think of Akako learning simple and small spells just to show Aoko, who, with bright, amazed eyes takes her hands and tells her that she is amazing.
Aoko can be a bit skittish at times (and Akako's twisted humor sometimes tends to lead her to do terrifying things) but if necessary she will manage to, with a touch of magic, alleviate Aoko's fear by providing her with a distraction from it. (Now I also don't doubt that she can be the type who invites her to see horror movies just so she can hug her, lol)

Koizumi Akako headcanons and appreciation if you can? She often feels like the rarest character in the DCMK Fandom.
I love how this chaotic evil girl went all out in her plan to kill or enslave KID knowing full well he was the classmate that simply refused to exchange the Valentines Day chocolate he'd already received for one of the many of her own that she was giving out (I think she even telepathically knocked him into the classroom chalkboard as retaliation before connecting the dots that her magic mirror foretold that only KID could resist her charms despite being a man) because her demon/fallen angel butler Lucifer suggested it. But after he saved her life and called her heart a beautiful jewel, advising her not to make people unhappy by taking their devotion by force while making her smile with beautiful magic tricks she decided she would be queen of his protection squad and is fully ready to unleash hell for his sake.
She also made friends with Nakamori Aoko, they have such mutual crushes on each other my Yuri/GL heart is happy.
Alright headcanon: After Akako was promoted to be Kaito's best friend. That meant that they would have their version of bantering. A completely different look than when Aoko was his. Here's a video that demonstrates that:
Bonus: While this one is not a headcanon, I just think it would be neat to imagine Akako as Sally from the Hex Girls.

What would happen if Akako's son fell in love with Kaiao's daughter?
Sadly, I haven't been lucky enough to find many fanfics about Kaito and Aoko's married life, much less with children, and the few I've seen show their children off-screen or as a baby. It doesn't bother me, but I would like to see more and in my crazy head. He has thought about several scenarios for his children, such as:
I like the idea that they have identical twins but with different personalities, like although both children are energetic, one is calmer than the other or that they both admire their father for being a brilliant magician, one of them can't help but want to work for the police like his grandfather Ginzo did, who almost caught the famous kaito kid.
(although we already know who caught him indirectly 🤭🤭)
And the idea that is most in my head is that apart from the twins, some time later Kaito and Aoko have a daughter that is planned or was a surprise, it is in their decision XD
and i have thought about pairing Kaito's daughter with Akako's son like in that kind of strange Eros and Psyche where the boy since he was in elementary school tries to win over kuroba's daughter to cleanse the honor of his mother who, Because of Kaito, he couldn't have all the men in the world at his feet, but Akako's son accidentally falls in love with Kuroba's daughter.
What do others think about this?
Aoko: He takes it as a children's joke but when the children go to high school he supports Ryo 100% (I already named them because it must be tiring to read the son of such a character, I'm sorry 😔)
Akako's son is called Ryuunosuke and Aoko's daughter is called Akari xd
Akako: Although she feels flattered that her son avenges her, the truth is that she stopped caring a long time ago whether she has all the men at her feet or not and is even very good friends with Aoko.
the twins (I haven't thought of a name for these xd): They think that Ryu is a womanizer who only wants to play with his younger sister since since he was little he has been popular with girls although in high school he has become just as vain as his mother and that is why they will always try to interrupt their moments alone.
Kaito: At first he was the most worried since he knew the craziness of Ryu's maternal side and was afraid that he would use his daughter until he discovered that what Ryu feels is love and that his daughter is just as clueless as her mother and the only thing Kaito could do was hug Ryu and say I understand you.
Ryu: As we said at the beginning, Ryu wanted to win over Akari to clear the name of his mother, with whom he has always been very close, but over the years Ryu becomes friends with Akari and falls in love with her, but he doesn't know how to show that his feelings are sincere.
Akari: Well, she met Ryu in elementary school and the first time she met him he had a shy and fearful attitude and that made Akari want to protect him and even though they are already in high school and Ryu has changed, she can't help but see him as that shy boy he knew in elementary school although sometimes he can't help but feel jealous of the girls who approach Ryu.
Thank you for reading the things that I imagine in my weird head and if you have Kaito and Aoko fanfics, don't hesitate to tag me since I will read them by law.

What kinds of perverts does Kaito have to deal with? Is it just while crossdressing? Does it happen in his civilian life or just as Kid? I'm sure he can handle himself mostly but does Jii have means of dealing with them? Or Aoko, Akako and Hakuba? How would Zero and Matsuda protect him?
Just the usual ones women have to deal with when he's in disguise... and others that fell for him when he was performing magic.
KID has his own set of fans that take it too far, I bet, but he usually avoids them.
Jii deals with the ones he's caught harassing his Young Master, but Kaito doesn’t tell him much. Doesn’t want him to worry.
Aoko doesn't notice unless it's obvious... Hakuba discreetly defends Kaito, and Akako uses magic to get them off Kaito's back.
Zero and Matsuda would beat them up, no questions asked.

Come to DCMK, where I probably got a shit ton of my favourite shipping and otherwise general relationship dynamics from!
We have Phantom Thief/Detective (Kaito/Aoko since she's the inspector's daughter, Kaito/Hakuba, and Kaito/Hattori too tbh)
There's "I Will Wait As Long As It Takes" featuring Shinichi/Ran on both sides!
Secret identities galore! Thought you knew who someone was? Think again! Even the main characters can change! Even and especially their parents! (Never getting over how Kaito's mother in ch1 was a domestic housewife and by the next time she appears she's the Phantom Lady and she's a jetsetter in Las Vegas. Live your best life, Kuroba Chikage.)
Voice of rational logic paired up with voice of "but what if the supernatural DOES exist"? We've got Hattori and Shinichi (Hattori believes in luck and charms, and has pseudo-prophetic dreams once or twice), as well as Hakuba and Akako (rational science vs actual witch!).
Family drama where people don't communicate so people turn out to be related who had no idea? Long-lost relatives? HELL YEAH. Not just the main cast (the entire Akai-Miyano family, the Kudo and Kuroba family), but countless cases and even movies based around the idea!
Power couples where they're both as strong as each other? Ran is a blackbelt in karate. Kazuha does aikido. Hattori is an ace at kendo. Shinichi has a powerful and accurate kick for shooting something at something or someone. Tbh they each have their specialty. I'd love to see Akako actually get sicced on someone for the sake of protecting someone she cares about, too.
Portrayals of parents as people? The Kudos often come back home when shit hits the fan. They aren't perfect but they're shown to make an effort. Ran's parents are divorced but in a way you can see why, but at the same time they still care. Some parents are good and others border on neglect, but they are, most importantly, people with their own stories!
And honestly my favourite thing? It's got a setting that's perfect for adapting into something more sci-fi (we have drugs that shrink people! Robots!) or more fantasy (witches! Immortality-granting stones and/or drugs! Aforementioned prophetic dreams!) so it's carte blanche for AUs. You can easily adapt the setting to whatever you want.

I saw somewhere that you asked for ideas to draw, I have a suggestion if you're still looking. How about an Akako with Kaitou KID's outfit? Or an Akako as Phantom Lady accompanying KID? It's just a thought. I've been thinking a lot about an AU where Akako helps Kaito steal gems. My Roman Empire is a Japanese AkaKai comic I once saw where Akako told Kaito "Don't be afraid of the cops, I'll protect you." I simply love. LMAO, SORRY I DIVERTED.
YES, I a will draw this I think akako looks so cute with kids suit , she’s handsome even. I will also think of a design for her to be a helper of Kaito becuz i feel Kaito would like at least some codesign for them but that also fits her. (Maybe since he uses his dads outfit for him to be Kaito kid maybe he uses his moms for akako xD?)
I feel like this au could be possible since she has done it before like once or twice XD pls tell me this comic I would love to read it . Thank u for the help I feel extra motivated >:3

The top two characters will be eligible to enter the bracket. This poll replaces the previous Detective Conan play-in round.
Propaganda under the cut.
Akako Koizumi:
She is literally a witch who wants all men on this world to be her slaves. But she's also like 16. Kaitou Kid (the protag and winner of at least one thief poll on tumblr) is the only man on which her magic doesn't work, so she tries to kill him by both a) enchanting the Inspector hunting him to shoot on sight and b) fighting him on top of a power line. Also she mustn's cry or else she'll lose her magic, but that's an anime only plotpoint. She still tries to enchant Kaito a few times over the course of the series, but also occasionally helps him against his wishes. Another important thing to note is that she regularly conjurs Satan, as in the Devil. From. The Bible. And then after getting what she wants, she just fucks him over. Absolute Queen shit. It's hilarious when she does it to help in a criminal investigation and then just goes "source: lucifer." Also her charm works on Aoko, Kaito's love interest, so make of that what you will ;)
Tumblr media
Rumi Wakasa was submitted without propaganda.
Chianti:
She just wants to have a good time with her fellow sniper buddy Korn and shoot some people! God forbid women do anything!!!!
Vermouth:
Literally part of an evil organization, kills people, yada yada, but also she's HOT GIRL SHIT. Femme Fatale. Has tension with the protag's mom because they used to be besties before she faked her death, also tried to kill adifferent character's mom by forcefully kissing her and giving her experimental poison. (Sure, women poisoning women get to kiss, but none of the men poisoning men get to do that!!!) But also, she protects the protag from her evil organization because of her relationship to his mom, and protects his girlfriend because said girlfriend accidentally saved Vermouth's life when she was running from the cops.

How do you read Akako’s reversed Tower in Sun Halo? She read it (or claimed to read it I don’t quite trust her judgement here and feel like she’s hiding something) as a bad omen for the heist while I have a completely different interpretation. Also interesting that there’s upright Tower imagery with Aoko and Kid falling from pretty big height.(The tower commonly figuring a man and a woman falling from a tall tower.) I thought this could be a fun discussion with you given your tarot series.
Oh yes, I actually have several thoughts about this that are hopefully interesting!
So, to begin I just wanna give the obligatory disclaimer that I wouldn’t consider myself particularly knowledgeable about tarot reading, I just think they're neat. If I say anything blatantly incorrect then it is the result of a bare minimum of research into the meanings of the cards.
With that out of the way, I think that her fortune telling is spot on; the Tower is a very auspicious card that's smybolic of looming disaster, sudden accidents, an upheaval, change for the worse. And it is generally seen as bad regardless of if its upright or reversed, with the reversed meaning being something like a narrowly avoided disaster, phyric victory, or delaying the inevitable.
Which means Akako's advice of 'maybe delay your heist, don't do it today' is actually very good advice for a reversed Tower, because if the heist is going to be the danger then by not doing it he could still be in line with the fortune by avoiding disaster; but even knowing he's not going to delay the heist as long as he has the warning he'll hopefully at least be more careful and hopefully come out safe that way. Props to Akako for seeing that her friend was in danger and immediately making strong moves to try to lessen or counteract the danger.
And you called out the typical imagery of the card as well, and I think its actually a fun analog to Kaito’s fall at the beginning of Sun Halo, because its not only similar that they're falling but the reason for falling is also similar. Because (to my knowledge at least) the standard Tower card is a tower that's been struck by lightning and is now burning with people throwing themselves out the window to escape the rising flames- and maybe you're about to say that's not all that similar, and that's fair, but I just wanted to draw parallel to the fact that Kaito didn't actually fall as he was able to grapple himself to relative safety but threw himself down the pit to protect Aoko.
Anyway there's no denying that Kaito was in danger durring Sun Halo, though the question is whether the danger is to his body or his Identity? Which one is the disaster that's being warned of in his fortune? Both? Probably both.

I made Morro and Lloyd fight in the rain enjoy ❤️
2.1K words idk how people write so much I fought tooth and nail for this
He’d been dreading the day he’d have to do this. Last night he lay awake, not caring that his eyelids felt heavy, or that for the first time in a long time he had a warm bed to sleep in. The rain kept him up, it tapped again and again and again on his window. It called to him. And he hated it.
He hated the rain.
Sure, he was confident any ghost who returned from the dead had an irrational fear of water. It was second nature to avoid it with their lives… or lack of. He knew what it felt like, to disintegrate like that. The water ate him from the inside out, tearing at skin and bone, barely having enough energy to keep his soul intact. He knew what it felt like to fight for his life when he was dragged into the ocean that fateful night. Not even his elemental power could save him then.
Why should today be any different?
“Morro?”
He rolled over, eyes adjusting to the light of the hallway. Akako had peaked her head through the doorway. Despite being the only bearable person around here, he couldn’t help but want to punch her face in for not knocking. It was common decency.
Morro let out an exhausted grunt. His younger sister only scoffed.
“Yeah, good morning to you too. Get up. Training’s early today.” She leaned against the doorway, unimpressed by his reluctance to do so. “You’ll miss out on breakfast. It’s Zane’s turn to cook today I don’t think you’d want to miss out.”
“Mhm.”
“It won’t be that bad.”
“I beg to differ.”
“Then beg.”
The silence seemed to be louder than the actual conversation.
“You’re lucky I’m the one who came to wake you up. I know for certain Kai isn’t too thrilled to live under the same roof as you.”
“Tell Kai he can sleep in the Destiny’s Bounty if he’s that bothered by it.”
“Har Har. Get up.”
“Right.”
He didn’t budge until Akako left, not even bothering to close the door behind her. He scoffed as she did so. What a morning.
He wasn’t too thrilled by the early start to the day. The ache in his shoulders spoke numbers. Maybe he was getting too old for this. He wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of going out there and having a conversation with the ninja too. But the smell of warm food was inviting, and it’s been ages since he’s had warm food.
The kitchen fell silent for a moment when he entered the room, just a moment. And in that moment he could tell he wasn’t the most desirable presence in the general vicinity at this certain point in time. Akako beckoned him over, and he sat down at the far end of the table, grabbing a pancake or two and already ripping one and shoving it into his mouth. They were oddly sweet for pancakes, so he ate them plain, not too keen on making himself sick. He tried to keep himself unnoticed by the rest, but couldn’t help to snag a glance at Jay, who had grabbed every topping there was to offer on the table and piled it all into one heaped pancake, regardless of whether they even went together or not. His stomach twisted at the sight and he turned his attention back to his food. His own choice seemed very underwhelming now.
Training was exactly as he’d feared.
It wasn’t training in the traditional sense. The torrential rain has only worsened and it was anyone’s guess how the grounds haven’t flooded. But puddles have definitely grown. Why they would even go ahead with training in this weather was beyond him. Prepare for every possible environment, he supposed, but rain in Ninjago doesn’t come by often. This was freak weather.
The rest of the ninja stayed behind, lingering by the door. None of them had their weapons. None of them were dressed properly for the occasion, the gi yes, but not any of the usual protection or armour.
Fruition hit him like a truck.
It was this kind of training.
Lloyd remained by his side. He’d gestured for Morro to come closer to the edge of the covering, where the rain had been pouring off the edge of the roof. A wall of water, calling out to him.
This was the training.
They were trying to get him used to the water.
A few moments hung in the air before Morro took a few steps forward, reaching forward, staring forward at that impenetrable wall. His gut was telling him to steer clear of the stuff. But his ego was louder. And it was telling him not to let the ninja have a one-up on him. They’d think he’s weak for letting a little bit of water nag at him. He could hardly stand a shower for more than a few minutes, god knows what he’s like in the rain. He felt the six or so glare at the back of him, and for better or for worse he paid no heed.
He jumped when his hand reached the barrier, it was cold and he didn’t like it. A chill crawled up his spine and he chose to ignore the look Lloyd gave him. If he wasn’t so convinced most of the people here disliked him he would’ve registered the look of concern on his face. But right now it felt like dirt under his skin.
“Are you alright?” He heard the green ninja ask.
“I’m fine. ”
“Are you-“
“You can stop looking at me like I’m a lost puppy. A little rain never hurt anyone.” Out of spite he shoved his arm through, ignoring the itching feeling he was beginning to get. He ached to pull it back, but he only let it out further, letting it get soaked to the bone, letting the chill spread even deeper. He’s immune now, he told himself, nothing will come of this.
Lloyd let out a scoff. “I’m only looking out for you-“
“Well you don’t need to. I don’t need you to care about me. I was fine on my own.”
“Yeah you were totally fine when you ended up summoning our father for some lunatic.”
“Don’t you dare go on as if I enjoyed working for her. We've been through this.” Spite tempted him further, and he considered shoving the other arm in.
“Whatever.”
“Besides, you’re worse than I am, actually falling for her advances,” he took a mental jab at the other, glancing over to see if he hit. Morro only received a glare in return. He didn’t care. There were other things to worry about.
The rain filled the silence. Morro finally withdrew from the downpour, wiping the excess water off. Lloyd grabbed him before he could turn to leave.
“Put your hand back in.”
“What.”
“I said put your hand back in. We’re not finished yet.”
“You said we’d take this slow.”
“Yeah and you’re obviously milking it. Put your hand in it won’t kill you.”
“You’re fucking mental.”
“Maybe I am, I don’t care. I’ve put up with you enough to let you stay, youre going to return the favour for once.”
Morro spun around to glare at him. Lloyd tried to hide how he flinched, but Morro caught on quick enough and scoffed. He brushed his hand through his hair, chuckling and mumbling something incoherent to himself.
“You’re still not over that?! You’re still scared of me? After all this time? You have the nerve to tell me to move on and you still haven-“
Lloyd punched Morro.
He stumbled backwards, ending up in the downpour. He didn’t dare to take his eyes off the ground, less the shock actually registered on his face. He was soaked right through almost immediately and every nerve in his body begged for him to find shelter again. Every drop felt like a bullet pelting against his back. He had to double check that it wasn’t hail. It wasn’t. Maybe hail would have been better.
He was snapped out of it again when Lloyd landed a second blow square in the face. This time Morro had enough sense to react and he quickly grabbed Lloyds arm, throwing him to the ground. He landed with a horrible splat, resorting to going for Morros ankle before Morro sent a gust of wind his way, and by extension an onslaught of rain, hitting even stronger now with the sudden gale the other had summoned.
“DO YOU HOLD GRUDGES FOR THIS LONG?!” He shouted over the storm, preparing himself for another attack when Lloyd shot up. He’d managed to dodge and elbow Lloyds back, but not before Lloyd grabbed him by the neck of his gi and pulled him down with.
Morro gagged slightly as he crashed into the puddle below. Lloyd kept him down and gave him another kind punch, blood finally spurting from the other's nose.
“DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME?” He swung his fist again. “YOU’VE ALMOST BLINDED ME AND NOW IT’S ALL MY FAULT FOR HOLDING A ‘GRUDGE’?!” He let out a yelp when Morro kicked him off. He was about to get up again before he noticed Morro raising his hand, and the rain seemed to stop. A ceiling of water loomed over both of them, only getting bigger as it continued collecting rain.
“I APOLOGISED, DID I NOT, DOES THAT SUDDENLY NOT COUNT NOW?” His hand dropped like a dead fly, and with it brought a sheet of water down with great force. Morro stumbled slightly, put off balance by the sheer weight of it. But Lloyd was slammed back onto the ground. That move will probably do numbers on their backs in the long run.
The water must have shoved something else, because the training equipment had suddenly sprung from the ground. Lloyd took the opportunity while Morro was distracted to charge some energy, sending it towards his knees to knock him off balance. Morro only stumbled.
“You dirtbag-“ Morro spat blood. “So you want to fight? That seems pretty odd, don’t you think? The green ninja himself, resorting to pick a fight with his own brother. Keeper of peace my ass.”
“SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH.” Lloyd charged at him, throwing them both onto the rotating target practice. Morro flinched as they were tossed about, wedged between two wooden figures. His struggling was futile and only ended up with him slammed against the wood again. He winced.
“What. Did I hurt your feelings?”
Lloyd stared at him in disbelief. He only chuckled, by god was he out of it.
“It’s idiots like you that keep me in this job in the first place. I could have been all done after The March but noooo I have to train someone WHO SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ALIVE MIND YOU??? EveryDAY is a constant struggle when I should be having a WELL DESERVED BREAK. WOULD YOU COP ON MORRO I'M NOT DOING THIS BECAUSE I WANT TO.”
“THEN WHY ARE YOU BOTHERED?”
“BECAUSE I WANT TO BE THE BIGGER PERSON. MAYBE AKAKO WAS RIGHT, MAYBE IT WAS A MATTER OF CIRCUMSTANCES FOR YOU, MAYBE YOU'RE NOT REALLY LIKE YOU WERE.” He threw another punch. And it missed.
Morro took his chance and shoved Lloyd off. The younger brother didn’t bother fighting back. Lloyd hung his head, hiding behind his hair. They were both panting, the rain washing the blood from Morros nose. He rolled over back onto the ground and spat more onto the sawdust. Lloyd only flopped onto his back, arms covering his face. The adrenaline was beginning to say goodbye, and the two finally realised their places.
Lloyd laughed.
It caught Morro off guard, it wasn’t one drive from insanity, or disbelief or shock or spite or malice. He couldn’t put his finger on it.
So he joined in.
Maybe it was insanity. He couldn’t even remember what they were fighting about. What a fruitless disagreement.
He brushed his dripping hair out of his eyes, hating how it clung to him. And he only laughed harder. On any other occasion it would have sent him right back into the comfort of his bed. But this time he couldn’t care less. The rain kept him on his knees, it battered again and again and again against his back. It called to him. And he couldn’t care.
Maybe it wasn’t so bad.

How do you think Kaito acts when he's flustered? What flusters him the most?
I have a feeling that it depends a lot on whether he's KID or Kaito.
For example, as KID, I think he'd be completely silent, turn around, or blow up a smoke bomb and get hurt, and this would make the person who made him nervous feel uncomfortable. Inside Kaito is chaos, outside he's mechanically "don't let your poker face fall."
As Kaito, I think he'd be a bit more tsundere, you know? I feel like Kaito can't handle sincere acts of kindness or comments from the heart (that are directed at him). Kaito spends so much time hiding behind walls, earning people's admiration or dislike that he's used to "fighting with them or receiving praise," but, you know, for real things, he might be quite clumsy because he's not that used to it, and I think it would also depend a lot on the context and situation.
His reaction could be something like:
"Even though I don't agree with your methods, I like your magic, it makes me feel like for a moment miracles could be real."
That comment came out of nowhere from Hakuba, both of them just stood in silence, they were waiting for the girls to join them on the rooftop to eat, there was no previous conversation, Kaito was sure that Hakuba wasn't lying, so he ended up babbling some nonsense.
"I… what?"
"Wow, I didn't expect this to be enough to make you nervous."
"I'm not nervous, hakubastard!"
"Mmh, interesting, I just said that I think your magic is great, there's no need to raise your voice."
or also:
Having a peaceful moment with Akako is rare, just them, doing a task together without problems. It's strange, but nice, at least it is until she speaks.
"I'll protect you."
"What are you talking about Akako? Did your Lucifer say something to you again?"
"No, just that when you're in trouble, I'll protect you."
"You don't have to-"
"I'm doing it because I want to, I'm going to protect you."
When Kaito notices that she means it, and that she's not expecting anything in return he just looks away.
"Oh, this is unexpected." There's a small mocking laugh as she finishes her sentence.
"Whatever."
"Oh, don't get me wrong, I think it's cute that you blush like that."
"I'm not blushing, let's continue with the task!"
"So Kaitou KID can be kind of cute, huh."
"I'm going to ignore you."
"Can't you handle a little sincerity?"
Maybe, mmmh, idk.

Kuroba Kaito deserves his own harem, glad you agree.
Akako went from wanting to kill him to protecting him, although Hakuba still want to catch him, occasionally giving him information so that he can emerge victorious under the excuse that "he shouldn't lose to anyone else", Shinichi always lets him go under a more absurd excuse than the previous, even the police group who work to catch KID are sometimes left speechless and well, Aoko is Aoko. (not counting the inevitable and real ones) this guy has no enemies, always steals everyone's hearts.

Chapters and gems idea for Magic Kaito's characters (a part 2 of this)
Koizumi Akako: Garnet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
'Aka' means red. I was going to pick Ruby since it represents love and passion, but according to borsheims.com, "Garnet is the official birthstone for January and signifies protection, friendship, trust, commitment, and love" Since Akako is always there to look after Kaito (and Aoko) and is shown to be a good friend lately.
The chapter will be titled "Crimson Deception" and could center on a jewel with the same name that was long believed to be the largest ruby but later revealed to be a garnet. This connects to the Japanese expression "makkana uso" (a bright red lie), which means a total lie. In this chapter, Akako outsmart someone threatening her friends, similar to the Kannon Statue incident where she deceived Lucifer for Kaito. This would showcase her sharp, protective side as she manipulates the situation for a greater cause. This chapter could end with her saying, "They're not my friends, I was merely keeping them around for entertainment. I do not need friends, especially not them."

Hello again, I wanted to do a second part of the headcanon of magic kaito actors and more specifically with akako and aoko
Akako met Aoko in high school and was her first friend since the other girls in her class never approached her thinking she would seduce their boyfriends (this is not true) and Akako due to her shy personality did not know how to approach her. her classmates first, so it was Aoko who spoke to her first.
Her second friend was Keiko (she doesn't go to the same school as them but she works as an actress in magic kaito) at first they didn't get along because Keiko thought the same as the other girls until he started interacting behind the scenes with her and I saw that he was very different from his character in Mk. Despite being a very popular girl among boys, she has never dated any.
Unlike Aoko, magic kaito is not Akako's first job in show business since since she was little she worked posing as a model or in children's commercials and one would think that in high school this would end but on the contrary she was always requested as a model and Little by little, offers came to him to participate in soap operas and be an idol. The last offer was the only one he rejected.
Although Akako has a shy and somewhat fearful personality, she can play any character even if it is very different from her personality since she received acting and modeling classes from a very young age. Initially, the lead role was going to go to Akako, who had more acting experience, but director Gosho loved how Akako played the Scarlet Witch and also wanted a more normal-looking girl as the female lead, and that's when Gosho discovered to Aoko who only went to accompany Akako to her audition.
When Aoko debuted in the acting world with Magic Kaito, her performance was not the best since it was her first time acting for television, but with acting classes and the help of Akako she managed to improve little by little.
Although Akako has a more imposing appearance and more acting experience, she has always considered Aoko as her older sister who protects her when director Gosho is too demanding of her and Aoko cannot help but admire her for her work and want to protect her.
Although in the Magic Kaito series Akako is seen to be romantically interested in Kaito Kuroba, in real life she has a platonic love for Hakuba Saguro, although only Aoko knows this.
When Akako watched episode 39 of MK at home, she couldn't help but get excited when she heard Saguro say that he wanted to ask her to the dance.
