The funny thing about Conan's "I saw it on tv" excuse whenever he knows something strange is that for the children watching detective Conan/Case closed (and learning those facts) it is actually true

I love it- like, purely talking about these two here?

Kaito only now realising his mistake. Shinichi actually abiding by their deal (debts and favours) and letting Kid off the hook this time (unlike several previous times, and more like the time with Ryoma's Gunbelt, since he just pointed out that it's likely the gems on the turtle are fake).

Shinichi almost warning Kid that someone else might have a grudge, but juuust too late for him to do anything about it.

They're like two boys shoving each other and going "he started it!"

And then, of course, we have...

Kaito getting the hell out of there because "Screw this, I do not want to deal with these mad people any longer."

All in all I'd say it's possibly one of the few heists in Detective Conan where he's shown at his least impressive, given he only appears "in uniform" right at the end here (other than in peoples' imaginations) and that's to run away.
