Behold our fill for the square "Horror". :D
Rex thought dealing with the sea monster attacking Gungan City would be another normal mission. But after hearing a description of the creature, he can't shake the feeling of doom. And suddenly, any time he looks at a body of water of any size, all he can see is the monster. It's as though it's haunting him, and no one else seems to see anything.

DPxDC My Brother in the Mirror
Damian doesn't like mirrors.
He never mentioned the fact to other members of the family, but they are detectives and vigilantes, it's their job to be observant. Which, after so many years, becomes a habit.
Damian doesn't actively avoid the mirrors - he has a mirror in his bathroom, he didn't express any discomfort over going into a mirror labyrinth at some carnival they've attended (he expressed disgust over taking part in something so stupid, in his words, but that's a whole another story), and he actually spent a few minutes in front of the funhouse mirrors when no one was looking, watching his own reflection distort in various ways. He also has no problems with his self-image - he doesn't mind pictures of him taken at any time (unless it's Tim, but that's, again, a whole another story), he's drawn a few self-portraits that were rather accurate and he liked them.
He just doesn't like mirrors. For some reason.
His family, both close and extended, never questioned it. They did some gentle research to see if the dislike was caused by some kind of problem Damian was experiencing without telling anyone, but when they found no proof of that, they've just decided it was some quirk of his. Everyone has quirks. Dick doesn't like eating cereal like a normal person, Tim despises sleep, Steph is at war with any color other than purple.
That is, until one day, Tim witnesses Damian sitting in front of a mirror.
He is not even aware of it - the whole family is having a game night, and through some arguments and rearrangements on the couch, Damian ends up sitting on the left side of it, where his back is turned to one of the three mirrors in the room. Tim, who's lost the last round, is slumping in an armchair nearby, pointedly looking away from the screen where Damian and Jason are enthusiastically competing over the first place in Mario Cart. Of course, Tim can't just not watch it since he needs to know their strategies. But turning back around would also be admitting defeat.
The solution? Easy, watch the screen through the mirror.
Which is when he notices it.
Damian in the mirror doesn't act the same as Damian in the room. Out of the corner of his eye, Tim can see the real Damian moving around, shoving Jason with his elbow, fully concentrated on the game, and yelling something. Damian-in-the-mirror is sitting unnaturally still, the back of his head over the couch unmoving.
Tim forgets all about the game when Damian's reflection starts to turn around. Slowly and carefully, eerie in the way the horror movies are, the boy in the mirror turns his head around like an owl, his neck twisting inhumanely.
His eyes are green. Green like the toxic waste, like Jason's madness, like acid in cartoons, like the Waters of Lazarus.
Damian in the mirror smiles, his unblinking, gliwing eyes fixed on Tim, and his teeth are sharp and pointy, and there are too many of them, humans can't smile this wide.
"-im? Tim!" A hand nudges him in the shoulder, and Tim looks away from the mirror, finding Dick standing over him. The noise of the game room returns all at once, and, wait, when did it become quiet for Tim?.. He must have a strange expression on his face because Dick's easy smile falls slightly, and he frowns, "Is everything okay?"
Tim looks back to the mirror, but the green-eyed boy in the mirror is gone, and the mirror only reflects Damian as he is: sitting on the couch.
"Yeah," Tim shakes his head and forces a smile on his lips, "I just zoned out."
"Okay," Dick pats him on the shoulder and gives him the controller, "It's your turn now."
Tim takes the controller and turns around, facing the screen. Tim throws a quick glance at Damian, who had slid down on the couch so his head would not be in the reflection anymore. Tim sees the cold, warning hint to his eye, a clear do not speak of it message.
Tim doesn't like that the mirror is now behind him.

Duolingo is the ancient of language, and makes their form look deceptively cute so it can indulge in its obsession to teach its domain to other humans
It’s just a random thought prompt, but DCxDP where Danny is talking to one of the other bats/heros
hero: phone goes off, them groaning “I downloaded this stupid app so I could learn (insert language) for a mission, but it won’t shut up with the reminders
Danny: glances up from where he was chilling out and talking “why not just delete it?”
Hero: “I’ve tried, but the stupid owl app won’t go away”
Danny and the bats freeze, turning to the hero in horror: “do the damn lesson”
Hero: blinking “why, it’s not like the stupid bird can actually do anything.”
Danny: hisses “dude, shut up! Duo is a powerful eldritch horror, he’ll kill you!”
John Constantine: walking in the room and spitting out his drink “why in the bloody hell are you even mentioning that blokes name?!”
Danny: points at hero “he downloaded their app and is refusing to do their daily lessons!”
John: stares in horror before nopeing out “you bastards are on your own!”
Danny: grabbing the bats and opening a portal to the cave “nope, we out, I’ve dealt with enough nightmare to know a fight I can’t win when I see one”
Hero: left standing alone, glancing at his phone as it vibrates again with a notification “well… shoot”

MDZS AU where Jiang Cheng realizes that Lan Sizhui is the Wen orphan that Wei Wuxian took care off during the Burial Mounds arc, decides that's close enough to qualify him as Nephew, declares that no Nephew of His (much less a surrogate son of Wei Wuxian's) is going to be raised in the Cloud Recedes, and immediately launches into a custody battle with Lan Wangji.
But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.
(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)
(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)
(It was Nie Huaisang who put that rumor out in the first place, partly to troll JC, partly because, in a way, it's a little true.)

DPxDC prompt #15
Demon Twins Fic
But!
Okay, so something I've seen floated a time or 2 from DC is that when using the Lazarus Pits to revive, a person emerges completely healed of all previous injuries or illnesses. Including scars.
Now obviously fandom often plays fast and loose with this rule, given how we like to give Jason an autopsy scar and some folks also like to make him keep the J from the Joker. But let's lean into it a bit here and make it play nice with the DP side of things.
Let's say that it's the ectoplasm, even the rancid stuff in the pits, that heals all scars except Death Scars.
So if Danny was, say, revived in the Pits by Talia before she disappeared him away to an orphanage in Illinois? The Danny that shows up in Amity Park wouldn't be covered in scars from his time in the League. He'd only have the one, the Death Scar.
Similarly, the Danny that stumbles out of the portal wouldn't have any scars from his time in Amity Park. He'd only have 2, the original Death Scar and the new Lichtenberg Death Scars.
Now I've seen it done many times where the Bats/Damian realize that Danny isn't a clone because you can't clone scars. So if Danny doesn't have those scars, and if his DNA is too messed up from the ectoplasm in him to check for any "regular cloning markers"...
Danny, fresh from an autopsy table, runs to Gotham to hide. And because of his inability to walk away from someone in danger, gets found by the Bats. Whether or not they know about Damian's twin beforehand, they are quite confident that Danny is a clone. An exceptionally good clone with nearly perfect implanted memories, but a clone nonetheless. Damian is particularly enraged about this
And poor Danny, already all sorts of fucked up from growing up Damian's lesser, then Dash's punching bag, then an experiment; in the face of Bat certainty and lacking any tangible evidence to the contrary; Danny starts to believe them.

Got an interesting take on eldritch horror for all you writers out there. It's a bit of a roundabout schlep to reach the actual idea, but writers tend to be readers so I hold you'll stick with me til we get there.
So, consider a 2D creature. Little flat dude, living on the ground. No concept of "up" or "down." He's 2D, he just doesn't parse the concepts and can't perceive them anyways.
He sees you. What he actually sees is just the 2D cross section of you where you intersect with his 2D world, which is probably your footprints. So, as far as he can tell, you are a pair of footprints that are.... apparently one being? He doesn't get how it works exactly, but it's not too far out there, so he just kind of accepts that, yes, humans are The Two That Are One. Spooky. They always seem to use the singular to refer to the pair of themselves, and only differentiate between themselves as Left or Right. But other paired instances of The Two That Are One are, in fact, separate entities. So they're only in sets of two, unless accompanied by a companion called "Cane," which they are sometimes, or even a pair of companions called "Crutches." When Crutches are present, sometimes one of The Two That Are One will be missing entirely. It's a little confusing.
But wait, what now? They disappear and reappear in sequence, teleporting in turns. He never sees them just move like a 2D being, always the stop-start teleporting. Apparently this strange power is called "walking," and its accomplished by The Two That Are One moving through an unseen dimension called "Up," through a process called "lifting" themselves and re-entering the real world farther away in the direction they wanted to go. He can accept the idea of unseen dimensions, and he vaguely gets the idea that one of The Two That Are One must remain anchored in the real world to prevent something called "falling," which is some kind of uncontrolled movement through the unperceivable dimension of "Down." Which is the same dimension as "Up," but...... backwards? Reversed? He's not really clear, but "Falling Down" is presumably bad, so The Two That Are One keep one of themselves here in the real world to prevent it.
Except if they do something called "jumping." Which consists of gathering up their power to hurl themselves through the Up dimension together to reappear together somewhere else in the real world. He isn't sure why they Walk instead of Jump, since it seems better to take both of The Two That Are One together at the same time, but okay.
Okay, what the hell, they can Walk through impenetrable barriers like the great wall of Sidewalk Chalk? How do they go through that? What? They went "Over?" The hell is "Over?" Like 'around' but through the unseen dimension of Up? But they couldn't Walk through the barrier of Wall. Why could they go "Over" Sidewalk Chalk but not Wall?
And they can't go between the four small obstacles of Refrigerator Feet. The area between them is safe from The Two That Are One, for the four Refrigerator Feet are connected to each other in the strange and eldritch dimension of Up. The barriers are too powerful to be moved by The Two That Are One, and it (they?) cannot enter the real world where it is blocked by such powerful forces.
Got all that?
Okay, now consider a 4 dimensional elder god and how we 3D entities would perceive them.

Don't Go To Amity Park
Amity Park changes people.
At first, no one notices. The residents are all changing at the same time, and so new social customs and more violent greetings aren't seen as odd. Their senses changing and expanding is easily dismissed too. After all, if grandma can hear what's happening a city block away, maybe that's just normal. Humans can hear that far, right? Everyone you know can, anyway. And the reflective, feline eyes, sharper teeth, pointed ears - that's all normal, right? Kids compare with their friends, and yeah, everyone looks like that. Everyone's normal, everything's fine.
The visitors and outsiders notice though. Anyone from Amity Park looks unnatural, predatory, like a wolf trying to blend in with sheep. They move too quietly, they see too much, and something about them is just inherently terrifying. Casper High's football team starts winning more through pure, unintentional intimidation (with a side of unnatural strength and durability). Their debate team has the same effect - no one wants to argue with someone who looks like they could and would rip your throat out with their bare hands. Amity-based businesses start thriving as their competitors fold in meetings. Eventually, the wider world decides to just avoid the town and anyone from it. The GIW, however, moves in to study it.
The drifters, the people from surrounding cities who work in Amity or go to school there, they change too. It's slower than the residents, but their access to an outside perspective means they notice it more, so they can't deny the changes like the Amity Parkers can. Their bodies are changing, their minds are changing, and some think to follow the rest of the world in avoiding Amity.
They can't, though. They're always drawn back. Whether it's by choice or impulse or drunken walks that somehow end in the woods on the edge of town, everyone who's been changed by Amity Park will end up back there eventually.
And the change happens faster and faster. At first it took weeks or months in town to see or feel any effects, but after a year or two, even a couple of days in town was enough to change you. To see your face in the hotel mirror at night, and not recognise yourself when you look the next morning.
The Amity Parkers take a long time to notice it, but when kids start developing real powers, it's undeniable. The goth can grow a whole garden in minutes, the cheerleader can breathe fire, and the basketball player will tell you your deepest, darkest secrets unprompted. It's not just the high schoolers either. Toddlers are floating out of their beds like something from the Exorcist, and old folks are outpacing Olympic sprinters. Most people hide their powers when the GIW comes around, but the unlucky few caught unaware disappear overnight. Some return, with haunted eyes and new scars and whispered gratitude for Phantom, but not all of them. The Amity Parkers learn to shut up and work together to try and keep each other safe. They learn to cultivate and train their abilities in secret, ready and waiting for the time to fight back.
The borders of town become dangerous - the GIW has learnt to camp along roads and capture the drifters who wander in. Phantom patrols just outside the GIW's range, intercepting people before the GIW can. The changed ones are smuggled to safehouses and families with free couches, warned and trained and supported by the community. The random travellers are redirected or scared off, left with nothing worse than a ghost story. There aren't tourists or amateur ghost hunters anymore, the outside world knows to stay away or risk disappearing into Amity Park.
This could continue in a few directions - my first thought was a DC crossover with a junior team like Young Justice or the Titans. They hear about the ghost town and decide to investigate, and meet Phantom as they're walking through the woods. He warns them that if they go any further, they will be permanently changed and won't be able to leave. They dismiss his warnings, and enter the town anyway.
Full psychological horror as they observe the eldritch nightmare of a town and learn about the GIW, only to go to sleep at night and wake up Different. They freak out, and their host explains the rules and customs of town, basically saying "We told you so, you're one of us now, get used to it".
After freaking out, they run to tell the Justice League about what happened (and to prove to themselves that they can leave). As they give the JL their inadequate information (because they ran before finishing the investigation) and get scolded/medically examined, they realise they're itching to go back to Amity. Undeniable, like a magnet pulling them in, or like sharks following the scent of blood. They realise they won't be able to resist the pull forever. Cue another team panic attack.
The JL investigates remotely, buys protective equipment from the GIW/Fentons, and plan their strategy. While they're distracted, the young heroes find themselves drawn back to Amity, regardless of their dread. They learn more about what they are now, coming to an uneasy acceptance of it. They join the Amity Parkers in planning their revolution against the GIW. By the time the JL finally shows up, Amity Park is a warzone, with their kids on the front lines with glowing eyes and bared fangs.
Amity Park is freed, but at the cost of their kids' humanity, and now the kids can never truly leave. Sure, they can stay away for a few weeks or even months, but eventually they'll end up back in Amity Park, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. The world notices how different these young heroes look, how terrifying and violent they've become, how they all go missing regularly. What was once quiet whispers in the towns around Amity becomes loud, international news.
Don't go to Amity Park, or you'll never come back.
