Thanks to all my followers for still following and believing in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Finally, here's an animation of Shadow and Maria from a scene in Project Shadow, except I forgot to check if the light would stay constant in the place I was taking my pictures. This is what it looked like before I edited out the frames that made it super flickery:O. I'll be more careful next time.

The Opal Emerald

The emergence of this new and powerful Chaos Emerald started a chain reaction. All of the Chaos Emeralds, including the Master Emerald, lit up suddenly no matter where they were. As though trying to warn anyone nearby that something had appeared. Something that, if fallen into the wrong hands, could result in the destruction of the very universe itself. The Seven seemed to scream for anyone’s attention. The Master Emerald itself screamed for anyone near Angel Island. 

The Opal Emerald radiated and surged with more power than Scar had ever seen in a Chaos Emerald. Upon grabbing a hold of the rainbow jewel, the scarred hedgehog felt a sudden surge of energy rush through him, making his fur stand on end and his scar spark erratically, threatening a Chaos Eruption. 

“What... What is this power? It’s stronger than any Chaos Energy I’ve ever felt.” He spoke to himself. “Something of this caliber cannot fall into evil hands.” Using his white emerald, Scar teleported back to the planet below, back to his cabin in the woods. “Would it be safe here? The sheer power this Emerald gives off is bound to be detectable.” He looked over his humble cabin. “Where else could I hide such a thing?” He sighed. “I’ll simply have to guard it with my life.”

A quick stop and the unity would once again be on its way, these were her orders. Not that they had a long way ahead of them, of course, but Lien-da Largely being on the move rather than anchored in one area. Not when they were heading back home.

Fate as always, had other plans, however. A sudden energy spike would be felt by her Ship's sensors, throwing most of them in disarray, and spooking the helm, who already had a fire extinguisher ready to counter its computer's overheat eventual fiery end.

Fortunately, safety protocols were employed , and the worst did not come to bear. Still, it left them mostly blind to the wider world... save for the spike's last location.

Perfectly aware of what it meant, Lien-da muttered words i could not possibly repeat without risking a jail time and ordered only the fastest of repairs, for they had a new destination to reach. The ship was hovering in place, its massive size hidden through very old stealth field technology the dark legion pained to put back together, not helped at all by their species’s self imposed technological dark age. But this was beside the point, and soon , a smaller, but very visible drop ship made its way down, bent on investigating the why and how of their current predicament.

Arianna relaxed the moment the axe was set down. Maybe the stranger wasn’t that bad. She gently took the wet cloth and used it to wipe her face.

“Thank you.” She said as she handed back. She thought about his words. “Yeah, and....the place I would be staying at locks their doors at ten.” She didn’t tell him that the place was the homeless shelter. As she isn’t from this world, she has no proof of her identity so getting a job would be impossible.

“In that case, is there a cave or something that I can stay until it’s safe to go?” She asked. Arianna wasn’t sure if he’ll be comfortable with letting her stay the night.

Arianna went into the forest by the cave her and her dad used to live. She tended to the garden she had planted a while ago. She paused when she saw something glittering in the distance. Curious, she headed to the direction.

The glitter that had caught her curiosity was a castle made from crystal, the same type that was strung on her neck. She knew that meant her dad was alive and well again. Arianna felt as if her heart was broken into many tiny bits. Her dad never once tried to contact her, and judging by the castle, he’s been awake for a while now.

Arianna ripped off the necklace, and threw it at the door, which broke the crystal into two. She didn’t see it brake as she took off running, tears streaming from her blue eyes, blurring her vision.

She ran and ran, going deep into the woods, deeper than she’s ever been. Eventually Arianna ran out of tears and strength. She sat down on fallen log and wiped her face. She was lost. Arianna stood up and walked in a random direction, hoping to find a way out. Eventually she found a cabin.

Arianna hesitated before she went over and knocked on the door. She hoped whoever was inside was friendly.
