For my Horikawa Cosplay i recreated the pattern our lovely singing swordbois have on their collar. It really helped that i stared a lot at the selfies from all the actors and noticed that some have a different section of the patterned fabric. Sadly not enough was visible to made a fully repetitive file. So the file i made is only repetitive in the vertical. I also didn't cut the flowers off that no longer fit on the collar for the seam allowance.
You can download that file here. It includes a svg, dxf and png file of the pattern. The file also contains the ones i changed a little bit with a thicker rim around the flowers for the Suishinshi of my cosplay group. But its just the part that is visible on the collar.
You can use these files for free. If you do - it would make me really happy when you can show/link me a picture of your creation. ♥ Notes: When you use this pattern make sure you change it to the right section for your sword men like in the picture above. The pattern repeats with the flower at the bottom right corner - it matches up with the cut out in the flower in the top right corner. If you have some difficulties with the file you can ask me for help.

Heads Down, Seven Up
Aka, you show me yours and I show you mine. Aka, I share seven lines and you have the option of sharing yours. Tagged by @sparrow-orion-writes. I just finished a project, so I had to cook some new words.
My bad.
I'm well-aware the following is not seven sentences, so I'm breaking the rules because a lot of the sentences are short. This is a summary excerpt for an upcoming project about a royal coup, sword dancing, and saving a princess when you throw her a knife.
Year of the Rooster. Full moon. No an orange slice with a rind, the Heaven peels it from the flesh yet it refuses to even budge. The Spring Matsuri. The Shogun’s son, on his right hand—not his left, joins the golden roost of his father’s house. A preening bride beneath his wing. Then the binding. The oath. A crimson ribbon. Merry gods. A single sword bisecting Heaven as a dancer spins a kick. Amaterasu, the Great Queen, the Beloved Mother, sheds a blessing. She is the drums—thundering; the weave of red behind the hilt; the ornate mask; cloudless sky; the line of action striking thrice. A blatant message missed its mark. The dancer juts it through a traitor. And the haunting eyes of a warrior—of a demon—steal the sky.
Soft tagging: @kryptalia, @chenqing9, @gothamxwattpad, @anchestral, @heymacareyna, @thedeerwight, and any other persons of interest who'll like to play along and show you're writing.

The Yellowest Swordsman, the Dark Swordsman
This is coming later than I intended due to personal reasons.
Z: Bako-san is easily the one of the core cast with the least focus this far, so it's nice to get a look at his life outside of being the driving force behind STORAGE's mecha. Yoko is disappointed to learn he has a daughter, but Yuka is a big fan of Ruri, who created M1. I can't tell from when Bako meets with Ruri but if sounds like he probably isn't with her mother anymore? He also seems to be struggling in some way is he ill or just having trouble dealing with her? He even just casually gives some instructions quietly during introductions before shouting at his team to work. He just doesn't seem comfortable. Okay, so Ruri's assistant decided to steal M1 and in the end M1 is accidentally grown to giant size and probably terrified looking for Ruri. Fortunately STORAGE just tranquilises it rather than Yoko destroying it outright. But GAFJ orders the destruction of M1. Hebikura does agree to try to help save M1, but there is a point they will have to destroy him. And Hebikura is really putting his neck on the line for it. I love that the Matsuri plan basically worked. Everyone puts their all in and they manage to save M1 at the last minute. I like M1 hugging his grandfather at the end.
Saber: Tassel goes darkly serious at the beginning, and reveals to us that Kurayami is incredibly powerful due to being one one of the first two Seiken created. Given he doesn't name Rekka as being the other I think it safe to assume the other is a sword of Light. Sophia is worrying about Caliber's identity, Storious and Caliber's project needs more power. While everyone discusses things, Mei brings Reika to talk to Kento, she reveals she's from Southern Base and gives him Tri Cerberus. Apparently there are Swordsmen there as well. The core 3 make a promise to work together. They confront the Megiddo, Caliber arrives, Slash arrives to focus on the Megiddo, leaving Caliber to them, Saber uses Saiyuu Dragon against Caliber, but the dark rider continues to hold the advantage, until Saber uses Crimson Dragon to create an opening, getting Tenkuu no Pegasus back so Fantastic Lion can join, which gives the chance to retrieve Needle Hedgehog, and Espada changes to Golden Alangina. The trio of Wonder Combos allow Caliber to absorb enough to complete the creation process for Jaou Dragon. At this point Storious attacks all 4 of them it looks like, revealing to the assembled Riders the man behind the mask, Kamijo Daichi. When Kento demands to know what happened to his father Kamijo claims that Hayato did indeed betray them, which does line up with what we've seen of 15 years ago. Kento attacks in a rage but is handily defeated before Caliber leaves. Kento refuses to answer Touma and leaves, while Touma had apparently up until this point not realised Kento was the boy in his memories. Okay it's specifically the memories of Luna, but I though it was already clear to him last time. Kamijo claims his new Wonder Ride Book.
Kiramager: Okay, the others went to work, and Oradin took most of the Mashin to Atamald, leaving Juru and Takamichi to fight the Jamenju with Kiramaijin and Gigant Driller. The whole lot wind up shrunk, the exact size of the DX toys. This kid has some worries but can't bring them up to his mum. Yodonna's constant hijacking of Crunchula's plans has to come to a head at some point. So I guess this series isn't one of the ones where there's somehow merch of the characters like in the real world. Still with all the giant fights you'd think he'd recognise them. Juru sometimes has issues with priorities like now, but that's par for the course in a show like this. It's good they're not trying to rely on Oradin, only calling if they need him. I suppose it's true that restoring the Kiraful Go-Arrow was priority over everyone else.

2017 year in review!!
notes under cut...
y’know when you hit that plateau and you struggle to go up from there? yeah that was me this entire year.
my 2017 folder looks so sad and empty... except i have folders for specific projects. out of sight, out of mind, that’s how i operate. (also this doesn’t count the endless doodles in my 6-7 sketchbooks HAH)
... i’m just forgetful.
anyway
this year i said fuck it i’m gonna draw what i love (hachisuka) and don’t give a fuck about trying to draw things i’m only lukewarm about for conventions lol
highlights i guess
jan. fell deep, deep into sword musical hell and never recovered. a good death. bungou to alchemist is still going strong.
feb-march: ????? hachi TL got taken over by puchisuka and i did a ton of doodles of that too. also sleepy kotetsu draws... also commissions?
apr was attempt at first book but i got 4 pages in and died-- more commissions too? i forgot about those. damn.
may was dying while drawing my double-sided toumyu idol charms HHHHH
june’s tnzk was so much fun to draw, i should do more trad lines with digital colours...
jul was pulling out my tablet monitor again to draw things and while it’s definitely easier to draw with in some aspects i still prefer my tablet. that hota was lined with the tablet monitor tho
AUGUST!!! hachi month!!! man i was so productive. good job me. wow. amazing.
sept, acrylic stand hell i guess. also mochimochi charms.
oct, in which i said ‘fuck it just draw a goddamn book dont care about how shitty it’ll be’ and i did. accidentally drew it on a4 size instead of b5 size whoooooops. also i did like 5 days of inktober or whatever
nov: touken matsuri and then being too exhausted to draw properly afterwards LOL
dec: HHHHH gotta draw /something/ so i took my sketch from march and lined and coloured it. luv nagahachi
one failed resolution was to draw a lewd a month WAHAHhaha oops
next year!!!!! more books!!! more merch?? print a damn book... T_T

Chapter 138: Falling from the Tower
Feel free to copy and paste my summaries to other sites as long as you give me credit.  Please keep in mind when copying and pasting that I may continue to correct errors and tweak details after it is posted
Pg 1: After being shot in the head Furuta falls. Urie watches him go down.
Pg 2: Before hitting the floor Furuta stops. He rises up and plucks the bullet from his face, commenting that people can’t just enter the chairman’s room and says that it isn’t a bathroom.
Pg 3: Marude, flanked by several men, comments that he’d hardly call it a bathroom.  Urie realizes that it’s Marude.
Pg 4: One man tells Furuta that he’s fired. He yells to the other men that they’re going to take the CCG back.
Pg 5: The men raise their weapons and fire shots repeatedly at Furuta.
Pg 6: Furuta falls to the ground again. He thinks that he needs more muscle. Marude holds up his hand to stop the men.  Furuta lies on the ground and his hand twitches.
Pg 7: An enormous toothed kagune erupts from Furuta. Marude shouts to his man to not panic, saying it’s the same as their normal work.
Pg 8: Marude pulls out a gigantic gun and tells the others to step aside. He fires it, blowing the kagune to pieces.
Pg 9: Furuta staggers back and one of the men comments that the RC automatic shell bullets have been newly developed. Marude yells to his men to not go easy on Furuta. They begin showering Furuta with bullets again but Furuta remains standing. He calls the men morons and begins to say what will happen if they go against him.
Pg 10: Furuta says that he’ll show them but turns and abruptly runs away. Furuta jumps out of the building. Matsuri (who was previously reported to be deceased) falls next to him with a sword in his mouth.
Pg 11: Furuta turns and is shocked to see Matsuri. Matsuri says that he’ll make sashimi for him and the two struggle while falling through the air.
Pg 12: Furuta launches his kagune past Matsuri’s face and embeds it in the building next to them. He uses his kagune to land on the ground. Matsuri comes to a stop as well, grabbing onto rope projecting from the side of the building.
Pg 13: Matsuri looks out after Furuta while clinging to the rope. At the top of the building Marude comments that he didn’t bring enough troops. He walks over to Urie and Kuroiwa. Kuroiwa slowly stops breathing as Marude tells Kuroiwa that’ll he always be there for him.
Pg 14: Kuroiwa dies while Urie holds him. Marude turns away. Urie asks Marude for an explanation. Marude asks Urie if he thinks that he can forgive him.
Pg 15:  Matsuri enters the building from the broken window and greets Urie. Marude turns and asks Scarecrow what he’s going to do about the kid (Urie).
Pg 16: Scarecrow speaks in symbols and holds a sign that says “I am Nagachika Hideyoshi. Lend me your strength, Urie”.

For my latest cosplay project i had to dye my first color gradient. I kinda avoided the gardients in my over 10 years i've been making costumes but a friend asked me if i wanna join her cosplay group as Horikawa. I already cosplayed Horikawa with Amala as Izuminokami last year so i was really happy she asked. The outfit looked simple but pretty. I could finish a white hakama, that i started around 2011/12 for a cosplay i dont wanna make anymore. Past me already cut the fabric and ironed the folds in - so i just had to do the side seams, the hems and add a waistband. For the top i sewed together 3 rectangles. The back rectangle is much longer and it gets wider towards the bottom. Before i sewed it togehter i dyed the gradient - two times. The first one was a barely visible after it dried. So i made it much darker than that in the second run and after it was dry i liked it enough to not redo it. Then had to add the collar like the ones on yukatas. Before i could do that i had to made the pretty flower pattern for it. Recreating it took me some time but really happy how it turned out. My loyal cutting plotter had no problems cutting such fine details out of iron-on-foil and then i just had to iron it on so the pattern repeats without a visible seam. I also made the collars for my friends who cosplayed as Izuminokami and Suishinshi in our group. Sadly the purple foil for Suishinshi was a troublemaker. My previous cutting settings didn't work, also recommended settings for that foil didn't work. So i made some adjustments in my file and used a lot of pressure while cutting it. I was really worried it would damage my cutting mat but i finally worked! After that i made some cute little petals for the back out of some shiny gold iron on foil and also ironed that on. The last thing i sewed was the Obi. First I was unsure if i should add a trimming or a bias tape but i chose the clean look of the bias tape. Then i bought white Jikatabi and added a white shirt from my closet. The last photo is made by Sui at Connichi 2022
