#progress update i guess

I'm sorry I'm so tired lately. It's been hard trying to get any of my projects done, and what little I am able to produce is only a third of what I used to be able to do this time last year. There's nothing in particular that's causing this fatigue, I'm just... tired. I don't feel recuperated enough after my days off and I just want to sleep after work. Writing and drawing is taking so fucking long now and my body's physically exhausted. Honestly, I'm disappointed with myself for only managing a couple thousand Words a day and this one chapter I'm on /still/ isn't done. None of my projects are nowhere near done and I'm kinda feeling the daunting exhaustion of never ending work. And it keeps just taking longer and longer to do. I just wanted to apologize. I've been really trying to do some sort of progress every day or every other day, but I don't have a lot to show for it. I used to crank out fully rendered art or entire chapters of 15-20k words in under 4 days. Now? Christ I can't even finish this one chapter and it's been like 2 weeks and all I have is around 14k words. I'm just tired, and I'm sorry. I don't know how to fix it.

sorry i haven't posted much lately! tbh i've been feeling kind of burnt out and massively unmotivated with palia. don't get me wrong, i still really love the game (especially the characters and the worldbuilding) and i have tried to log in and play but tbh the game itself just isn't keeping my attention rn.

i don't blame the devs at all since i know they're going Through It rn what with the massive layoffs, california fires, and losing money. that being said, the little story progression, constant game breaking bugs every update, and Way too high prices for things,,, it got to me. it sucks because i do really love this game and i Want to devote more time to it but i've lost the motivation to do that.

i'm hoping that i'll gain at least some of it back with the elderwoods update but i also can't help but feel some trepidation at the thought of the release getting pushed back and what kind of bugs will inevitably come with it.

anyway, ik i don't have to explain myself or anything, but i just wanted to let you guys know i guess? i Do still love the game and i anticipate future updates (and hopefully getting sucked back into it) but for now, i'm not devoting a lot of time to it. i'm thinking of doing some art for the characters just so i don't lose interest completely but the game itself is taking a massive backseat :/

This thing I saw months ago is suddenly bothering me, so super unscientific anecdotal evidence poll time.

Context: I got reccomended by algorithm this youtube video of some lady happily showing her feet to the internet to enthuse about the life changing magic of those feet-shoes, you know the ones with super bendy soles and sometimes sock tubes, thats supposed to mimic walking around barefoot? Barefoot shoes? I honestly dont remember if she was selling them or not. She claimed with great confidence and pride, that before using these barefoot shoes and doing some exercises probably, she wasnt able to move her toes around, and she assumed this was the natural state of regular shoe wearers. Then she demonstrates "look what I can do now!" And just. Spreads her toes apart and waggles them. "And if you change your lifestyle to worship these shoes you too cam accomplish this and have a better stride and better idk hips because of energy" or wtvr.

I look at her miracle toes. I do the same thing. I can do it fine? Just. Move ones toes semi separately, flex them?? What does she think is so special?

Then I remembered that actually basically all of my walking is done shoeless at home so theres a possibility I have been following her anti shoes lifestyle by accident.

Which leads me to my poll.

If I promise this isnt a kink question will that make more, or fewer, people participate? 😂

That’s basically it, but throw in my own twist because I like putting Vil in his place. It’ll take place during the beginning of VDC.

@solxamber actually solved my problem with their Idol post. I had this body swap idea for awhile, but I didn’t know how to make Vil leave MC alone to… basically ease his reputation into something better. Then the Idol idea came up and I was like “this is perfect!”

I commented on the post and thought “oh! I should tag them for helping me.” I looked at who posted it and freaked out, because @solxamber is amazing and such a good writer. So @solxamber thank you for unintentionally solving my problem. I appreciate it and love your work lol

So the Vil fans are really getting a lot of solid content in these next few days

Chapter 5 Progress Update

Writing: I am confident enough to announce all writing is complete for chapter 5! Now all three documents sit in agony as they wait for the art department to catch up. Speaking of which-

Art: I finished my last CG for the trial! Now I've moved onto the closing argument comic. Rexx is also doing their CGs too!

Inbox: I have 14 more asks to get though, and I'll probably have them all answered in a couple more weeks. It'll be cool if the inbox gets re-opened around the time the daily life is ready to post.
