my artwork summary year in review for 2024! template from papakkapao_ on twitter
definitely fell off the wagon with regards to regular full comic updates around the time of the kirby oc tourney this year, but in its place i ramped up a lot in drawing and appreciating other folks' ocs!
my highlighted favourite piece is from october, launching kirbytober this year, while my most popular by a long-shot was bandee's birthday comic in march.
in 2025 i want to finish the few in-progress challenges i have outstanding and resume some more serious, chronological storytelling for starstruck in particular. things are scripted and planned and i'm excited to work; just need to find the hours in the day!
looking forward to another year in this community, and hopefully adding some fun lore drops as we go! thank you to everyone who's following along and enjoying my work!
#compilation#my art#cw blood#<- for that one comic with J and also the piece for Galacta Knights' birthday. it's small but it is there.#tried to focus on starstruck-centric pieces for these! some months i did more gifts than original artwork but i found enough!#produced a lot of content i really enjoyed this year and a lot of pieces that are very dear to me! some months were hard to choose!#i don't really feel like i've had any improvement or growth as an artist this year but that's maybe to be expected at my age 🤣#i *do* think i'm stylising my characters better and getting more fluid at drawing kirby-related content overall!! practice makes perfect!

You Know, I Think I Can Understand Why Michi Didn't Care About Mai
P.S: This post is meant to explain bad parenting, not excuse it. And this analysis will be focused on the show, not the comics.
Inspired by @zuko-always-lies and a Twitter thread I made earlier in the month(https://tinyurl.com/5epfmkvp)
The relationship between Mai, Michi(her mother), and Ukano(Mai's father) is not one that is given vast amounts of exploration. In fact, it's only explored in two episodes. But it still provides fascinating insight into the FN upperclass, and how imperialism can warp human relationships, even for the victors.
This is the first piece of dialogue we get when we first meet Mai and Michi:
It may not seem like much, but there's a lot to unpack here:
The conversation starts with Mai voicing her intense displeasure with the move to Omashu. Michi responds by bringing up Ukano's new appointment and their families' rise in status, and she states that Mai should be happy and enjoy the perks of their new position. Mai then responds by saying she has nothing to do and nothing ever happens, which Michi responds to by scowling.
Now, Mai isn't someone who's shy about expressing discontent (we see that throughout the show). But Michi's response (or lack thereof) to her discontent is very telling about their relationship. Firstly, Mai felt comfortable enough with her mother to openly express her dislike of their current situation, which indicates that Michi is probably the more active and approachable parent (Mai was angry about the way Ukano handled the pentapox situation, but all she did was offer him fireflakes).
Secondly, she didn't expect anything more than for her complaints to be dismissed and ignored. When she voices how bleak Omashu is, she doesn't expect a response, nor does she react to Michi's disdainful frown.
On Michi's end, while she's definitely not passionate about her daughters' continued misery, and would like to see her happy, she also doesn't really care. She never once asks about possible solutions to her daughter's boredom or isolation, nor does she ask Mai about what exactly is missing from her current life in Omashu that's causing her misery. She has no response to Mai's second comment, and is content to just side-eye her and move on.
I think we can all agree that this isn't stellar parenting, but if we go back and look at things from Michi's perspective, it makes sense:
I think there's enough in the text to conclude that Michi had fertility issues (Having 2 children 13 years apart doesn't seem like something someone in Michi's position would have done by choice. )
(Plus, if you believe Mai is Izumi's mother, this may be why Izumi is an only child).
So imagine this: you've spent a significant amount of time trying unsuccessfully to produce a male heir because men are the only ones that get high-ranking positions in your nation(remember guys, Azula was the only female in the war meeting and she was the Crown Princess who was specifically invited by the Firelord). While you're going through that, you and your husband have been working to advance his political career in order to protect and elevate your family. Then, finally, after 13 long years, you have a son, and soon after that, your husband is elevated to the position of governor of an entire colony. You've hit the jackpot, and all your efforts and ambitions have finally paid off. Under those circumstances, how perceptive would you be to the needs of the least necessary member of your family?
That scowl is foul, but I understand
In an imperial system, someone's intrinsic value is based on how much of an asset they are to the system. Mai is neither her family's future nor is she it's present. Her greatest task is to marry well, and her biggest prospect was burned and sent on an impossible scavenger hunt. Every time we see Michi care deeply for something, there's a logical reason(she cares about the fate of the city because her husband could potentially lose his governorship if it's mishandled; she cares about her son because he's the future of the family), but Michi doesn't have a logical reason to care about Mai, so she doesn't. And that makes Mai feel like her feelings don't matter, which causes her to repress herself.
Azula, the world's least qualified psychotherapist
I do think Mai cares about her family, and she wants their approval. But she much prefers that the company of the Fire Siblings and Ty Lee to theirs. That's why she was ready to go the moment she had the first opportunity. I'm not a big fan of the way the comics reset the familial relationships, because it didn't feel earned, and it felt like Yang missed the point of the original dynamic.
PS: I don't know why so many Zutara shippers insist on denying Mai's trauma. It doesn't actually make sense from a shipping standpoint because Mai's trauma doesn't somehow make her more suitable for Zuko (you could even argue that it makes her less suitable if you want to take it that far). Honestly, sometimes it feels like character spite drives certain segments of this fandom more than anything else.

I've been thinking about "if you don't like it, don't watch it".
First off ... yeah, probably better to just not engage with things rather than being a hater. Better not to piss in someone's Cheerios. Your Kink is Not My Kink But Your Kink is Okay, or whatever. I don't think the path to happiness lies in making haterdom your whole personality, and I think most of the time a single "wow, that sucked" is what's appropriate, or a longer "woooow" if you want to write some analysis/review.
However, we live in a society, and that society can only produce a limited number of quality pieces of media. You might immediately object to that, saying that we're living in an unending sea of content so vast that no one could swim through it all, and my reply is that this is only kind of true. There's a lot of content, yes, but there's a limit on how much budget is going to get spent on content in a given year, and there's certain to be some kind of power law distribution the higher the budgets involved. Those budgets are being used to procure talent from a limited pool.
So every piece of art that gets made which isn't to your preferences does, in some sense, mean that something you actually like doesn't get made. In practice, if that piece of art weren't made, maybe nothing would be made, or maybe some different piece of art you wouldn't like would be made. But there is, ultimately, a limited pool of labor and talent, when it comes to art.
I think that's something to chew on. Obviously a lot of the things that are made are made because someone, somewhere, really had a passion for it, often the artist, and other things are made without passion but because there was a wide market. I think if you're a utilitarian, you might want them to keep making lots of things that are "for" other people, because this is what's best for the greater good (the greater good).
But seeing all that time and effort poured into something that you do not care about? Or something that's poorly made and no one likes? Seeing Hollywood spend a hundred million dollars on a flop? Seeing a game get crippled by its monetization?
There is a part of me that says "well hold on, I do want to talk about why I hate this, why it's bad, what I hated about it, and in fact, I hope that in doing so I can even marginally shift the needle to help the vast ecosystem of creative works move more in a direction that I actually enjoy".
How to message in such a way that this is what you're doing is another conversation entirely. There are lots of very irritating ways to phrase this. But I do think the mindset makes sense, and in certain forms is defensible.

Random rant about fandoms that nobody asked me for but I feel like writing about: I think some people should just use YouTube and Pinterest.
I think at this point we've all heard the phrase "let's go back to when fandoms were for freaks" and while I miss that too, I think I like the phrase "let's go back to when people in fandoms knew what being in a fandom consisted" better because I can't think of any fandom on any social media that isn't plagued with people who are in fandoms but hate everything involved by them.
This has been going on for years now and it was progressive, but I sometimes find it unbearable to constantly read things like "it's not that deep", "why do people argue about this, we should just make/watch gifs and that's it", etc. Like obviously there are things I find "ridiculous" to discuss, but I find those things ridiculous outside of fandoms too not just in them (ex: most things related to physical appearance).
Fandoms are community, they are spaces created by and for people who share the same interest to interact, share and discuss ideas about that piece of media they have in common. Like any human community, there are going to be people who agree with an idea and people who don't, but that's true of any social interaction. It's not something that can be avoided, even in the fandoms of the "simplest" media you can think of.
The basis of fandoms is the interpretation and dissemination of ideas. If all you want to do is watch the series/film/interview/etc and look at gifs/fan art/edits/etc, you should consider just lurking on YouTube and Pinterest, because if what bothers you most about fandoms is interaction and discussion, then I don't think they're for you.
There's nothing wrong with fandoms not being for you, they are recreational spaces after all. A lot of people (like me) enjoy that interaction as a way to escape from everyday life for a while, even if that interaction involves discussion, but some people don't and that's fine! You're not less of a fan, or a worse fan of something/someone for not wanting to interact with their fandom. At the end of the day, we all want to escape our problems for a while, and if that discussion affects you or creates anxiety, your priority should be you and your peace, therefore you should consider stop interacting with them. I know it's hard sometimes because of emotional attachment, but if you suffer more than you enjoy a fandom, that's a problem. It's supposed to make you happy and clear your head, not create discomfort.
That annoyance that your fandom generates in you is reflected in your interactions. They show that you're genuinely not enjoying it, and that often causes other people to stop doing it. On social media there are many ways to filter, mute and block content, you don't like something? Ignore it, not difficult. You don't have to be interested in or have an opinion on every topic in fandom, it's not a requirement of them. You can choose which discussions to participate in and which not to.
Of course I roll my eyes too when I see Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande fans fighting over who has more stage presence on Twitter, but I don't need to get involved and let everyone know how idiotic I find that conversation. I don't pay attention to it, if they want to fight let them fight. Just because I say "hey, don't argue" isn't going to change anything. That's why we have to know when to pass by and ignore. If the conversation matters to me because of X or Y, I give my opinion, but if it really "doesn't interest me", why do I give it? The only thing I generate is bad feeling for myself, because my one opinion doesn't have the power to change everything. If you enjoy giving your opinion on anything and it doesn't cause you stress, do it! But if you are aware that it does, what's the point?
The media is there to analyse it, discuss it, re-interpret it, create more media based on it, etc. I don't accept that anti-intellectual bullshit "it's not that deep, the producer of this film/writer of this book didn't do X thing intentionally". If you don't want to read interpretations, don't voluntarily look for interpretations. Nothing and no one forces you to participate in a fandom. You can be forced to participate in many other social interactions, but not this one. If you don't like them, it's as simple as leaving.
"This fandom is extremely toxic" is it really that toxic on the level you're talking about, or do you just think that when everyone is discussing and exchanging ideas, everyone is fighting and suffering and this creates stress for you, even though they can be totally fine? Besides, I speak not only from my own experience but also from the experience of many friends, you can argue and seem to be negatively affected and in reality it is indifferent to you, not a problem. So even if the argument seems to "super affect" those who make it, it's not so in many cases. You who see it interpret that because that's what they communicate, but what they communicate is not necessarily what they feel.
The fandoms are drama because all media is dramatic. You're supposed to be here to scream about problems and situations that don't exist in your job/family/studies/etc. Every conversation is a "non-serious issue". You don't have to talk about "real issues" all the time, learn to have fun. If every time you see someone arguing about anything, you automatically just think that person is miserable and suffering because of fandoms, you are the one who is actually miserable and suffering because of fandoms, because if your first interpretation of any interaction is with such a negative outlook, you have the negative outlook.
No matter what your fandom is about, you are here to create your own world, your own adventure. Engage with fan art of that headcanon ship, read/write that rpf story, post your personal interpretation of that song you like that is probably not the original reason the artist wrote it, put together characters from various fandoms, do whatever you want. You have so many rules already in your day to day life, why do you want to put rules on your fun? What the fuck do you care how the others finds a way to not suffer so much from this horrible system we live in?
When I say "fuck the police" I mean the fun police too. Be gay, do crime <3

Good Omens Fic List
At this point, I have produced 11 20 Good Omens fics. If that's the sort of thing you enjoy, peruse my catalog! All these are Crowley/Aziraphale, and most feature angst, cathartic love confessions, and smut (though not all). Have a suggestion? Love one of them? Let a girl know. I love doing this, and I love connecting with people who care about this universe as much as I do. I truly hope you enjoy!
See AO3 for full tags.
No Nightingales (T, 14.7k) Post S2 - It's been a year since Aziraphale left Crowley on Earth and neither of them are faring very well. A moment of crisis brings them together again, and this time it's up to Aziraphale to save Crowley. Plot heavy, mature themes but no sexual content.
No End (E, 29.7k) After the Second Coming, there is a new order in Heaven. Crowley is found, punished, and assigned to an angel for permanent imprisonment. He thought he wouldn't feel anything ever again, but then he meets the angel assigned to him. Long, plotty, references to torture and eventual smut.
Whatever You Want (E, 3.5k) Smutty little sequel to No Nightingales but can absolutely be read as a standalone. Aziraphale works through some guilt and Crowley works through some wish fulfillment. Gentle and loving first time.
Something I Can Do For You (E, 3.2) Post-bullet catch (1941), Aziraphale grapples with the implications of realizing he is in love with his best friend. Lighthearted, loving, slightly desperate first time.
Quite Sure (E, 2.7k) Can be imagined as a sequel to Something I Can Do for You, but doesn't rely on it in any way. Established relationship set 10 years after the bullet catch. Considers when Crowley fell for Aziraphale, featuring meditations on the whole thing with Job and sweet lovemaking, with Aziraphale taking care of Crowley.
Worship in the Bedroom (E, 3.6k) Post-S2 - Aziraphale is back from Heaven and he and Crowley are hiding from Heaven and Hell. No plot really, but lots of worshipful, healing, sensual sex, with Crowley working through some angst and being cared for as he deserves.
The Whole Darn World Seemed Upside Down (E, 5.2k) Post-S1 - Crowley has unresolved feelings he needs to work through. If only he were good at the whole vulnerability thing. Angst and mild conflict, followed by love confessions and...well you know.
Tempt Me (E, 6k) Set in an unspecified future when they figure it all out and are happy together. A fun little romp with Aziraphale being very into Crowley tempting him. Like VERY into it. Light dom/sub elements.
If You Like (E, 4.4k) Set the night of the failed S1 Armageddon. Aziraphale goes back to Crowley’s flat and both of the boys are forced to deal with some long-repressed feelings. If only they were better at talking. Angst-heavy, especially for Crowley.
Worth Knowing (E, 3.6k) Sequel to If You Like set after the Ritz. Aziraphale thought everything would change after they slept together, but everything seems to have gone back to normal. If Crowley isn't going to do anything about that, Aziraphale will. Happy ending! Loving, soft, sweet, love confessions.
Flashes of Love (G, 3.2k) NO SEX TOTALLY WHOLESOME. Set a few weeks after the averted Second Coming (which all worked out fine) in a world where they are happy and together. Aziraphale has an inkling that Crowley may be able to sense and share angelic love in a way most demons can’t. Crowley agrees to give it a shot.
Forgive Me (E, 1.6k) LOTS OF SEX NOT AT ALL WHOLESOME. Post S2 - Aziraphale muses on what he should want from Crowley, and what he actually wants. Both rough and gentle sex follows, entirely imagined by Aziraphale. Heavy angst, please check tags.
My Angel (E, 2k) Companion to Forgive Me, from Crowley's perspective. Pieces can be read in either order or independently. What he should want his first time with Aziraphale to be, and what he actually wants. Both rough and gentle sex follows, entirely imagined by Crowley. Heavy angst.
Might As Well Do It Properly (E, 5.7k) What if Shax and the demon horde didn't show up at Aziraphale's Regency ball? Maybe Aziraphale would use some leftover magic in the air to do something he's been meaning to do for a long time. Gentle, loving first time (with dancing!).
I Need You (E, 3.8k) What if Crowley and Aziraphale were together before the events of S2? What if Aziraphale left anyway? What if he came back, just for one night? Angsty, sexy.
You Were Right (T, 6.2k) The origin of the apology dance in 1650. Crowley does something that could get them both in a lot of trouble. Aziraphale jumps to some conclusions, and has to try to make up for it. Plotty, pining, sweet. T for some mature themes.
Wherever You Are, I’ll Come to You (G, 5.7k) Just after The Fall, Crawly has no memory of who he is or where he comes from. But he has the funniest idea that he needs to find someone. Descriptions of The Fall, an appearance of Lucifer, and some descriptions of C&A’s relationship as angels.
A Favour (G, 3.1k) Two weeks after their memorable evening in 1941, Aziraphale can't get Crowley out of his mind. Then the demon shows up on his doorstep asking for a favor. Mutual pining abounds. My contribution to the GOMM minisode minibang, written based on the delightful art of elliart7.
Something Dangerous (G, 3.7k) Aziraphale draws Crowley sometimes. Always from memory, and he always destroyed the drawings when they're finished. He can never get his eyes just right though. One day in 1963, he tries again. Just gallons of pining.
The Wrong Thing (E, 8.8k) C&A are hunkered down in the bookshop during London's second COVID lockdown. Aziraphale suggests a little truth or dare to liven up an afternoon. Both truths and dares ensue. Bit of fun, bit of emotion, slightly more than a bit of porn.

We are headed into our final Drama Shower show of the season. How do you rank the shows we got this season and how are you feeling about the direction of the project?
What is Drama Shower and Why Does It Matter?
Before we get into rating these shows, I want to do a breakdown of what this is. To give you a sense of how big a deal Drama Shower is, fans are regularly updating a Wikipedia page for it with relevant links to follow the project. Also, there is a dedicated MDL page for it.
Drama Shower is a dedicated half-hour programming block on MBS, a Japanese broadcaster that is over 70 years old, in conjunction with Kadokawa, a Japanese publisher and holding group, that plays BL content at 1:30 am on Fridays. The project's main producer is Kaoru Azuma, who is a self-described long-time BL fan. He wants to show that BL can do a variety of stories in genre, and has recently stated that he wants to produce original content through the project as well.
We originally had six shows air through year one: Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But to Kiss!, Senpai, This Can't Be Love!, Takara-kun to Amagi-kun, Eternal Yesterday, Candy Color Paradox, and Jack o' Frost.
I originally reviewed these shows as overall a mixed bag, but showing great promise. I liked that they got more comfortable with depictions of m/m intimacy over time. I thought Mr. Unlucky was legitimately funny (9), Senpai never found its footing (6), Takara and Amagi mildly squandered their premise (8), Eternal Yesterday was extremely poignant (10), Candy Color Paradox had ambitions that exceeded its talent pool (7), and Jack o' Frost was a really strong finish (9.5).
MBS seemed to enjoy the performance of this project enough to continue it for another year.
For me, I think it's very significant to give BL itself a time slot to see how audiences are responding to BL as a concept compared to the pitch of individual shows. I'm really encouraged by MBS doing this. Even if you don't care about the name MBS, you have interacted with their content, because they are also behind Full Metal Alchemist and Haikyuu! anime adaptations.
Rating Year 2
I actually liked the way year 2 started, even if I'm a bit mixed on the end. I really loved opening with Tokyo in April is... I liked that they had BL trying to be topical. I think the show unfortunately conflates some things it shouldn't, but I loved TIAI and I loved Ren and Ryunosuke's experience being gay men. I liked the changes they made to the source material. This show was dark in a way that it owned, and I really like that. I gave it a 9.
We then moved to My Personal Weatherman, and that went over well for the people who like to see really hot people go at it with each other. I actually enjoyed how much Yoh and Segasaki actively misunderstood each other even as they were speaking to each other. I don't know that they exactly completed their story, and I suspect that there may be a future outing for this show. Despite enjoying it, I think it didn't get all of its pieces together fully and gave it an 8.5.
We then crossed over into uncertain territory with One Room Angel. Despite enjoying a lot of what was going on in this show, I don't actually think it's a romance. It's my understanding that the angel character is a lot younger in the source material, and so they may have been a little shy about how much they did with these characters on screen. I also don't think the storytelling was balanced between the leads. However, because I am susceptible to complex stories about grief, I gave this show an 8.
Now, we have Sahara-sensei to Toki-kun. I hated this show so much. I think it makes the unfortunate mistake of asking me to care about how homophobia and public perceptions impacts people through its flashback drama, but then does nothing with that in the front. It sucked so hard, and I'm really disappointed because I thought this show had some of the most potential, and I thought Toki was one of the most watchable characters Drama Shower had produced. I ended up giving it a 4.
Our next and final show (I think) for this outing is called My Strawberry Film. This one will also be in a high school, but I know little about it, other than we may have a GL plot in it.
So, overall I'd give Drama Shower an 8. I think fans of BL, and especially Japanese BL, should continue to show up and support it. The fact that we have a dedicated programming block is important. The fact that none of these shows has felt like a retread so far is super important. Drama Shower is varied. There is something in here for almost everyone. Drama Shower is the biggest commitment to BL we've had from a distributor other than GMMTV's ongoing BL slate. Taiwan has Vidol doing is four projects, but Drama Shower is the first time I know of that a Japanese distributor has focused on BL in a meaningful, ongoing way. We should stick with it.

How do you choose what to read based on the syllabus? Is your syllabus related to work or school or is it something personal?? Also, how do you organize what you learn form those readings? I used to love when you curated monthly readings and I loved your arena account so I'm curious, I'm really sorry if these are too many questions I understand if you don't want to answer
thank you, it means a lot to me that you like the syllabi! they're personal/for fun. i approach them as a total amateur in any given topic and am not trying to be comprehensive at all, just poking around a concept that interests me. i wrote a little about how i find the readings here. it started basically as a way to “research” creative writing projects-- at the beginning, they all had personal writing prompts attached to them (my envy syllabus had an accompanying envy journal, the color and seeing ones were related to poems i was writing about those topics, etc). one time i synthesized a more cohesive piece of writing about one of the syllabi and published it, but the rest of the thoughts they’ve produced are diffused across a bunch of journaling and poem drafts that will likely not see the light of day.
i’m trying to restart my process after a year off! i thought i'd have one up this week but am running behind... if anyone wants to share any reading/other content they’ve enjoyed that engages with beauty, i’d love to check it out 💗

My Xenoblade OST Trinity Box Set arrived! It contains 5 OST discs for Xenoblade 1, 6 for Xenoblade 2, and 9 for Xenoblade 3, as well as a booklet containing tracklists, lyrics, credits, and messages from the composers (as well as Tetsuya Takahashi), I am uploading these messages and transcriptions of them for any Xeno fans on here that may be interested in seeing the contents. Let's begin!

Message 01 - ACE (Tomori Kudo)
I first participated in the production of the series with Xenoblade Chronicles, in March of 2009, which is exactly 14 years ago from the time of writing this comment. Thanks to being given the chance to join the project, I was regarded as a "Xenoblade Chronicles Composer" and gradually started gaining recognition. It became a precious project for me as a composer. The first time I really felt this is when I performed music from Xenoblade Chronicles at the video game music orchestral concert "PRESS START." The fans cheered a lot for us.
My creative spirit was kindled every time I read the series' scripts, and I found myself thinking, "wow, this is interesting!" I was always inspired to create new video game music that hadn't been made before (well, "new" within my own range of experience.) As the series piled up with new entries, the music also powered up. We even recorded with an orchestra. Although there was hardship each time, I think I was able to grow alongside the Xenoblade Chronicles series.
I would like to express my gratitude again for being given the opportunity to take part in such a wonderful series. I would be thrilled if everyone enjoyed these musical pieces, while remembering the various scenes in which they were used, for many years to come.
(More messages below the cut)

Message 02 - ACE (CHiCO)
I was deeply moved by the first game's script and vision which went far beyond my imagination, and with the words of the person in charge of the music at the time, "This project will go down in gaming history," I wanted to create music that would overturn the existing "video game sound." It seems like yesterday that I started composing with enthusiasm, and I have constantly taken on many different challenges through my music. I worked so hard that the phrase, "as if my life depended on it," most likely isn't an exaggeration. Before realizing it, it had become a life's work.
In my personal life, I became a mother between Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. One month after giving birth, I had the chance to perform the Xenoblade Chronicles portion at the concert called "PRESS START." There are so many things I'd like to say about that busy time; it truly left a deep impression on me.
I would be more than happy if the music I made became someone's enjoyment, thanks to the wonderful Xenoblade Chronicles series.
My childhood dream was to be like Mother Teresa. Though, even if I lived for a thousand years, I'd still be nowhere near her.
I am full of gratitude for the director, the staff at MONOLITHSOFT, Nintendo, Dog Ear Records who reached out to me, everyone at PROCYON STUDIO who produced this CD album and everyone else involved for allowing me to take part until the end of these three entries to the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

Message 03 - Kenji Hiramatsu
Each time I worked on the music of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, I steadily looked for and drew out new sources of creativity within me. To ensure that my music did not get overshadowed by the world of the game, I wanted it to have unprecedented brilliance. Although there were many struggles, I took on the challenge with all my might and somehow reached the end. Like an RPG, the Xenoblade Chronicles series helped me grow immensely.
Looking back at the past three games, I feel that time has really flown by. However, taking part in a series loved even now by many throughout the world and overcoming many hurdles have become a precious treasure to me as a composer! I also treasure the many thoughts and feelings I receive from the fans about my music. These treasures are an important driving force in helping me take on the next challenge.
To be honest, after completely using up all my energy working on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I feel a little weak. But I think sharing this soundtrack with everyone will become another source of strength for me!
Now that this series has reached one point of closure, it's time for a fresh start! I wonder what kind of sources of creativity I'll find in the future. I hope everyone's looking forward to it!

Message 04 - Manami Kiyota
Ever since I was a child, I wanted to become a composer. Although I somehow found myself debuting as a singer, I was given the opportunity to write music for the Xenoblade Chronicles series.
At first, I think I caused everyone a lot of trouble with all the retakes. When I managed to successfully submit my work and played the game for the first time, I remember how excited I was to hear my music in the game. That said, whenever I play the game, I get so immersed that I forget I created music for it... (laughs)
By the time I started working on the third entry, I feel I had come to understand what my role is in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. I always aim to create music that exists as a sort of atmosphere within the world created by the director and among the visuals, the voice acting, and the sound effects. After playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Future Connected, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country. There are new discoveries and excitements when playing through the series.
I am truly happy to have been able to work on a world I love, the world of the Xenoblade Chronicles series. I'd like to give my heartfelt gratitude to the director, Mr. Takahashi, everyone at MONOLITHSOFT, all the composers, all the staff, and the players who enjoyed the games. Thank you very much.

Message 05 - Yasunori Mitsuda
Having worked with Mr. Takahashi, the director of the series, on numerous projects over the years, starting with Xenogears released in 1998, then Xenosaga Episode I, and then the Xenoblade Chronicles series, he is what I would call a brother in arms and a good friend who fully understands my music. That said, when he contacted me saying, "I want you to work with us on Xenoblade Chronicles," I declined. I felt that the project didn't need me because its fascinating atmosphere and world were already complete. As my own rule, I never decide whether to participate based solely on how much honor or profit I can get. Instead, I always try to consider what kind of "music" and "sound" the game wants and whether it really needs my "color." After he contacted me, I concluded that the game's already-established world didn't need anything new. For that reason, I declined his offer many times.
However, after Mr. Takahashi spoke to me in person and said, "Mitchan (note while writing - this is Mitsuda's nickname,) the series only makes sense if we close Xenoblade Chronicles with your music." I decided to accept his offer, though only the ending theme (I'm weak to heartfelt requests.) After that, I participated in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and found myself working with him for a very long time. Although the Xenoblade Chronicles series has successfully reached one point of closure this year in 2023, to be honest, I'm still asking myself if there was a meaning in my participation. The answer shouldn't come from me; if fans have been happy throughout the series, I think participating was the right decision. I'd like to express my gratitude to all those who have enjoyed the Xenoblade Chronicles series up until now. Thank you.

Message 06 - Tetsuya Takahashi
I have had few experiences where the word "harmony" has fit so well. I've known Mr. Mitsuda for around 30 years and it has almost been 15 years since I first met each of the other Xenoblade Chronicles composers. I suspect it's due to the accumulation of a decade and a half, but it was easy to imagine the kind of music I would receive in return to any request I made. And the music that I received far exceeded my expectations.
Looking back, when working on Xenoblade Chronicles it's true that I was fumbling to find each composer's expertise as I sent out orders for the music. However, that was only until halfway through. In the latter half of development, I personally remember there being considerably less trial and error. Most importantly, the composers were so passionate that I thought preserving that passion, without tampering with this or that, would be the best way to reach the players.
After going through that process, I felt I had a lot of leeway when working on Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This was largely thanks to Mr. Mitsuda, who doubled as music producer. From small matters to more important ones, he listened to my various thoughts and also gave me a lot of advice. I was able to use that leeway to spend more time thinking about the overall direction and mechanism of the music.
Speaking of mechanisms, the incorporation of a jazz-style atmosphere in Torna ~ The Golden Country is fresh in my mind. While the main reason for it was simply because I liked an American film I watched in 2015 titled Whiplash, there wasn't enough time to implement it in the main game, and considering the flow from the music in Xenoblade Chronicles, I decided it would be too abrupt so I incorporated it in the additional story rather than the main game. Considering each composer's style, I was confident that it would go well and was very happy with the result.
And then, Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There waiting, cultivated over time, was peace of mind and a sense of trust. This is what I mean by "harmony."
While also feeling apologetic, I'd like to express my gratitude to the composers for sticking with me without getting discouraged by my selfishness over the past a5 years (twice as long for Mr. Mitsuda.)
To all the composers, thank you!
And that's it, these are the six messages included in the booklet contained with the Trinity Box Set, hopefully this has been insightful and entertaining for anyone reading, and I hope you enjoyed reading it, I'm glad to have been able to post these online for all to see. Thanks!

Brain Curd #176
Brain Curds are lightly edited flash fiction - practically first drafts - posted daily (haven't missed one yet!) and sometimes written with the express intention of being terrible… but, you know, in an endearing way. Please like and reblog if you enjoy - the notes keep me going!
He's gonna be Frank with you. Read the rest of The Frank Program here on Tumblr!
Last time on The Frank Program, Frank caught Daryl watching something on his phone during recording, and he didn't like what he saw.
Daryl exploded out the door to the parking lot, anger in his stride, fear in his posture, and tears in his eyes. Chad, leaning on a car, got up immediately when he saw the kid running off.
“Hey!” He called out. Daryl wasn’t stopping for anything.
Cautiously, Chad poked his head back inside. Frank was stoic, silent in his host’s seat, a lit cigarette in his left hand. He took a drag from it and sighed out a puff of smoke.
“Come in, Mr. Graves. We oughtta finish the show.”
“You alright, bud?”
There were bags under Frank’s eyes that Chad didn’t recall seeing before. “I’m plenty content to finish recording.”
Graves sat down in his chair. The corner behind him was conspicuously empty. The chair which had been there before sat askew and on its side at the other end of the room.
“You know, Mr. Graves -”
“You can just call me Chad.”
“Well, Chad…” Frank took another hit. “I ain’t touched a cigarette in ten years. Kept this one in the studio just to prove to myself I didn’t need it.” He chuckled. “Funny how I keep proving myself wrong, huh?”
“How’s that?”
“Oh, the usual. I think o’ someone as a friend, or a wife, or… or a son. And I come to find they never were, really. They stab me in the goddamn back.”
“I take it that your chat didn’t go too well?”
Frank sneered. “You have no idea.”
“I’m sure he’ll come around. You know teenagers, I mean… I remember when I was a teenager, I got in arguments with my parents all the time.”
“We’re no stranger to arguments, Chad. This is somethin’ else. I’m losing my boy.”
“What exactly happened?”
Frank huffed and smothered his cigarette in the ashtray. “We better get back to my prepared questions.”
“Yeah…” Chad nodded slowly. “Alright.”
Frank shuffled through pages, looking for a question he still felt like asking. “Uh… Do you and your friends ever have creative differences when working on the show?”
“I don’t think we’d be as effective at doing our jobs if we did. Really, all four of us try to stay out of the creative side of things most of the time. Our producer decides what the story is for a given episode. He takes our full night of footage, and our analysis of the findings, and he gives that to his editor to make the pieces fit together.”
“Does the show replicate the experience of actually bein’ there, do ya think?”
“To be honest with you, I don’t usually watch it. Kind of a ‘been there, done that’ situation. But I have been channel surfing before and caught a rerun from a few years ago, and it definitely brought back memories.”
“Well that’s nice. Nice to have something to look back on. I guess I’ve got that too, huh? A little piece of the past… to bring back memories.”
“Yeah, I guess so. The nice thing about the show is it cuts out all the boring bits. The parts where we’re just sitting around, whispering to each other like we’re trying not to wake up the parents at a sleepover.”
“Right,” Frank said, a lump in his throat. “Those are the parts you really miss when they’re gone.”
Chad tilted his head to look around his microphone. “It’s gonna be okay, Frank. He’ll -”
“Mr. Graves, I don’t want another grown man to see me cry. So thank you for being here, but I must be signing off. Go ahead and tell the people where to find you.”
“I’m on all the socials as @GravesGhostVisions, so just search that up if you want to see where we’re headed next.”
“Thank you. This has been The Frank Program…” Frank struggled to get the words out without letting tears come with. “So long.”

if i may explain a bit of the psychology behind the backlash, i think it’s because people have gotten paranoid about media they enjoy
i think that because of the critical re-evaluation of so many pieces of media, people- and mcr fans in particular- have become worried their favorite pieces of media or favorite bands are “problematic” in some way. they don’t want to let their guard down because what if the media they like IS problematic and they’ve been liking something bigoted all this time? no one wants to seem like someone who willfully pretends that everything problematic in a piece of media doesn’t exist because “it’s good”.
so mcr fans criticize the band any way they can. they try to find parts that are problematic so they can be critical, and not seem like a “crazy obsessed fan who thinks the band can do no wrong”. the whole ticketmaster thing was just fuel to the fire.
and i will say that yeah, mcr DID (and sometimes still does) do some weird and sometimes problematic shit, but that shouldn’t damper your enjoyment of the band. as an mcr fan, i’ve learned to take the good with the bad and enjoy the band for what it is. i’m not defending all of their behavior, but i still enjoy their music and their activism against homophobia and transphobia.
anyway yeah. that was my rant. if this was cringe, let me know and i’ll apologize lol
no i see what you mean, it's not cringe.
In addition to that, the thing is that, well - I was gonna say "i hope it doesn't sound like I'm trying to be an apologist" but fuck it I don't really give a shit what they're gonna think i am, not when i know that what I'm gonna say isn't wrong - when you're a human being producing art which is basically content based on the things that make you human, it's very unlikely, if not impossible, that everything you'll produce is always gonna be flawless, or always reflecting something good about you. People forget that art needs humans to exist and vice versa, and our brains are poisoned with things we shouldn't think about each other and ourselves. Sometimes that just happens to be visible, specially when you're a well known artist. Truth be told, if those anti-fans knew how awful of a person i was in my early teen years, they would be making an insane effort to make sure I'd end up killing myself. They would never recognize my humanity, they'd never see a person who grew up in an environment that lead me to repeating that awful behavior that i was forced to endure and ended up accepting as a norm. They would never do that, to them I'd be nothing but a really massive inconvenience wasting the oxygen that i would be unworthy of breathing.
I met amazing people in this fandom, and those are the same people those anti fans (I'll call them anti fans because it's just easier and, cmon, it just makes sense) absolutely despose because they, well.. we would be falling into crazy hardcore fan territory. Tell ya what, i prefer being in the hardcore fan territory who's too forgiving than being in the same territory of people who say they would never want to meet gerard because they'd want to hurt them and who make me feel like I'd never be welcome. Specially with my disorder that makes it really hard for me to have a good relationship with people and just the act of socialization in general. It's already hard for me, and my disorder along with my past make it harder because I'm still growing and learning and unlearning things, and I'm incredibly desensitized to a lot of shit. To give you an idea of how far it goes, i thought of tattooing Gerard's knife speech because it genuinely felt exactly like what i feel all the time. Who do you think will be more welcoming? people who are a little too forgiving or people who are actively hunting a reason to treat you like shit?

🚩 graphics and another hot take, please. <3
Graphics... Okay. Do you know part of the accusations against Gaiman? It's that he didn't even write his own shit. That he stole from another fantasy writer hand over fist and buried her original work. Now here's what makes that different from Martin admitting so much of ASOIAF is lifted from a French dynastic series he enjoyed:
Martin admitted to his influences, glowingly. Gaiman denied his and kept the woman in nigh obscurity.
I feel that way about a lot of certain trends I see crop up. Person A in fandom produces a swell looking design. Turn it from squares to triangles and now it's Person B's original content. No source. Then Person C does it in circles. Original content. Except it's all just variations on A's influence, until we trickle down to person Z using squares but claiming it's totally different because it's a different color.
I pray people embrace and develop their own aesthetics. It will help you so much in the long run, especially in having an identity on the dash. You guys can always tell my graphics because I have my own style. I can tell Mari's because of how she works a canvas and palette. I know my friend Pupper because I will always recognize his motifs in every piece.
I'm not saying every use of influence is stealing. I am saying the more influence you borrow without acknowledging your sources, the nearer you are to stealing.
As for your bonus hot take... I follow you to interact and understand you on a creative and personal level, I do not follow you as some devoted fanbase or to be on a mailing list about your own ego. This is a weird one I've seen crop up. More and more people seem to walk into the comm with the sort of bloated ego you usually only see on 50 year veterans of the scifi publishing cycle with a series you've never even heard of.
It's weird. It's really weird people walk in here like it’s TikTok and writing a bisexual character or using the word ‘whore’ is edgy and makes them mature. They got thirty hits on AO3 writing darkfic and are doing a victory lap like they’re the next big booktok thing. These people usually could not care less for me as a collaborator let alone a person and give me the ick of either picking my brain to steal the hard work I put into a character or using my thoughts for the spank bank without telling me. I think more people need to use rp as it was intended, to network and plot with fellow freaks in a realm sans gods and masters… or stop trying to be its main character.

Mindless consumption and AI
Ok, so I am a computer science student and an artist, and quite frankly, I hate AI. I think it is just encouraging the mindless consumption of content rather than the creation of art and things that we enjoy. People are trying to replace human-created art with AI art, and quite frankly, that really is just a head-scratcher. The definition of art from Oxford Languages is as follows: “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” The key phrase here is “human creative skill”; art is inherently a human trait. I think it is cool that we are trying to teach machines how to make art; however, can we really call it art based on the definition we see above? About two years ago, I wrote a piece for my school about AI and art (I might post it; who knows?), where I argued that AI art is not real art.
Now, what about code? As a computer science student, I kind of like AI in the sense that it can overlook my code and tell me what is wrong with it, as well as how to improve it. It can also suggest sources for a research paper and check my spelling (which is really bad; I used it for this). Now, AI can also MAKE code, and let me tell you, my classmates abuse this like crazy. Teachers and TAs are working overtime to look through all the code that students submit to find AI-generated code (I was one of them), and I’ll be honest, it’s really easy to find!
People think that coding is a very rigid discipline, and yes, you do have to be analytical and logical to come up with code that works; however, you also have to be creative. You have to be creative to solve the problems that you are given, and just like with art, AI can’t be creative. Sure, it can solve simple tasks like making an array that takes in characters and reverses the order to print the output. But it can’t solve far more complex problems, and when students try to use it to find solutions, it breaks. The programs that it generates just don’t work and/or it makes up some nonsense.
And as more AI content fills the landscape, it’s just getting shittier and shittier. Now, how does the mindless consumption of content relate to this? You see, I personally think it has a lot to do with it. We have been consuming information and content for a long time, but the amount of content that exists in this world is greater than ever before, and AI “content” is just adding to this junkyard. No longer are people trying to understand the many techniques of art and develop their own styles (this applies to all art forms, such as visual art, writing, filmmaking, etc.). People will simply just enter a prompt into Midjourney and BOOM, you have multiple “art pieces” in different styles (which were stolen from real artists), and you can keep regenerating until you get what you want. You don’t have to do the hard work of learning how to draw, developing an art style, and doing it until you get it right. You can “create” something quickly for instant gratification; you can post it, and someone will look at it. Maybe they will leave a like on it; they might even keep scrolling and see more and more AI art, therefore leading to mindless consumption.

A Year of Animation Day 26: The Last Unicorn
Date: January 26, 2025
Day: 26
Content Watched: The Last Unicorn
Year: 1982
Rating: G
Run Time: 1 hr. 32 mins.
My first encounter with The Last Unicorn was via one of my favorite authors, Patrick Rothfuss, who has repeatedly cited it as his favorite book and worked alongside author Peter S. Beagle (among others) and Lee Moyer to produce a fantasy literary pin-up calendar in 2012 (this is my favorite calendar I've ever owned. I bought two copies, and I want Lee Moyer to make all my calendars from now on. His art is that pretty.)
I read the book back in 2012 and learned of the existence of the film adaptation from a co-worker who had grown up with. From a brief conversation, I determined that it was a pretty faithful adaptation (likely because Beagle wrote the screenplay) and followed up the book with the film. So this is one of those 1980s films for which I pushed back my definition of "modern animation" a decade. And it is definitely an 80's movie. If nothing else tips you off, the music should. (But also, the line about narwhals lost at sea? Is that foreshadowing? Because it sounds a lot like foreshadowing.)
I will say, there wasn't anything in particular that jumped out at me about the animation (I just watched Loving Vincent, so sue me), but I did find the color scheme very appropriate to the story. I liked the really bright saturated colors, especially in the forest, at the beginning of the story moving into darker tones as the plot went on. One particular piece of animation I liked was the passage of time as the unicorn searched for the others. I also liked the animation of the red bull, which looks like its on fire, and is genuinely pretty scary. I feel like I also need to mention that this movie has a stellar cast.
Storywise, Schmendrick is probably my favorite character. I think I just like wizards who aren't very good (I did watch all of Netflix's The Worst Witch the day it was released and watched it again the following day.) I also don't remember if the magic words he uses are in the book or not, but I did enjoy that there was an in-world magic language. But Molly Grue, like most Mollies, has a special place in my heart because she shares my name.
I also like the unicorn herself, for her kindness and... well, purity I guess. I like that frees the harpy, even though it might have attacked her and that she puts her faith in Schmendrick even though he's not very good at magic (but seriously, why didn't he just lead with the keys?) But the unicorn also brings with her this theme of not seeing things for what or who they really are, which of course, turns out to be part of the solution to finding the other unicorns. But it also feels timely. I also think there's a lot to say of the implication that humans enjoy being fooled.
Speaking of timely themes, greed shows up as well. Obviously we see it with the king at the end, who it doesn't work out so well for. But we also see with it with Mommy Fortuna who is so desperate for power all she care about is knowing that she captured and held a harpy against its will for some period of time, even though it will kill her when it escapes. (I dunno, I think I would take living over being enternally loathed by an immortal being, even if she does have a cool tree-trunk hat.)
I feel like the theme of greed even shows up in that very first scene, when the two hunters decide to go hunting in a different wood. One of hunters recognizes that the forest they're in is special and magical and... protected. But it must be the last unicorn because there's nowhere left in the world like that. It actually reminds me of a line in Mary Stewart's Wildfire at Midnight, when the characters talk about how scaling Everest if the beginning of the end.
Finally, I stumbled across a hilarious review on Rotten Tomatoes in which a person with no knowledge of English mechanics freaks out because they think the unicorn says she's not a whore. FYI. She says she's not a horse. Because she's not. She's a unicorn.
Also, this movie has tacos.

Sometimes, when we create we have to let go of the reception of what we have created.
I write fanfiction. 10-20 years ago, people would always review/comment. It was instant gratification. Lately, if I can ger one comment for a chapter of 10'00-2 000 words, I am grateful. People's behaviour with "free" or eas of access art has deteriorated. It's too much effort to show appreciation even if we feel it.
I focus on my joy of writing. Hoping that someone will be moved by my words but focusing on my own pleasure of wroting exactly what I want to read. If someone likes it : great. If not, well I'm enjoying my own writing.
I hope you find equal joy and satisfaction in the act of creation.
You create a lot of beauty and dreams... may you never stop.
Hi! First of all, thank you for reaching out. People never do, which is part of why I feel so resented by the world. Thank you for your kind words and a very well articulated message, which I absolutely agree with. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is noticing how beauty, photographs and creations have become quick, mass produced, single-use and lost in a sea of thousand new posts coming every second. I see that this is where the world is heading more and more, with AI "art", reposting stolen pictures or rewriting yourself to fit some aesthetic, and that makes me so scared for the future. And also, makes me even more motivated to spend more time on creating than on consuming, and being very peculiar about what I consume and how much. I understand your words about focusing on the joy and satisfaction of creating itself, it's the most important thing for me too, even it sounded like it's not. It's my favorite feeling right now: the need to create, paint, write, collage, take every single piece of myself and make something out of it with my hands. It's so beautiful and gratifying in itself and I'm at a point in my life when it's really all I want to do with my time. And I'm proud of my works anyway, I know I'm getting better for myself, I love the feeling of inspiration and I try to keep myself in this state as long as I can. The joy of making something is why I do what I do, nothing else is necessary and my private world is complete without approval of anyone else. But every once in a while, I remember that maybe if we put ourselves out there, someone will listen and sharing the beauty that we found or that we tried to make is the most normal, valid human emotion. And this, showing my precious pieces I made with adoration, and meeting not with hate, not love, but indifference, makes me want to throw up, go inside a hole and never go out. Why is that so hard? Why was I perfectly content with my work when it was just mine, but sharing it with others suddenly makes me hate it, no matter if it was well received or not? I will forever be creative because that's who I am in the depths of my soul and honestly I don't want to share my life with anybody now. But this feeling will always come again, the need to leave something after me, have some kind of legacy. Or simply inspire somebody and receive the same energy that I put in the world, or meet a single person who would give it some time, consciousness, curiosity. I don't know how to balance between hiding my world just for myself and the need to scream about it to everyone who would listen. I don't think there is a balance, just the terrible feeling of missing something on both sides. The inability to have it all is the reason for my crisis.

can i ask you a genuine question? i don't want it to sound like i'm accusing you of being a fetishist but why do you have so much sapphic art on your blog when you're mlm? i ain't saying you can't enjoy sapphic art but in my experience gay men tend to mostly reblog gay art and won't touch sapphic art. i've never met a gay man whose ship reblogs are mostly sapphic.
there isnt really like a simple answer to this, its a lot of reasons, but the main ones are
1.) i am way less picky about wlw art precisely because i am Not wlw and don't really have strong passionate feelings (positive or negative) towards most wlw art. if the art is cute i'll reblog. that's about it tbh
2.) the media i'm mostly into right now either has too small a fandom to produce art of my fave mlm ships (apex), has really no mlm ships to speak of due to its nature (tmnt, hnk), or has mlm ships i only kind of care about but not enough to go seeking art for it (hs) or produces content for a main mlm ship i simply don't like (pathologic).
of the fandoms i'm into right now only a couple of them have mlm ships i'm invested in but it's BECAUSE i'm invested i don't reblog art all that often? like of the fandoms/ships i'm into i would say sonadow has a decent amount of content being produced for it but i'm super picky about characterization and presentation because i actually like the ship. so. ok
someone could post a cute piece of conduit x wattson fanart tomorrow, a ship i have virtually no opinion on and which even contains a character i actively dislike, and i'd probably still reblog it on the basis of it being cute
someone could post an equally cute piece of sonadow fanart tomorrow, a ship i am actively invested in, but i probably wouldn't reblog it if there was something that annoyed me in it, even if it was minor
i'm not saying i don't have any wlw ships i'm passionate about (rosemary, lobalore, which i barely reblog any lobavalk because i have strong feelings about it) or mlm ships i'm not super invested in but would reblog anyways if the art fucked enough (vashwood) but my standards for mlm ships are significantly higher.
also it doesnt help that historically i have hated most big mlm ships and all my mlm ships have been minor with little content produced for them. i think the only instance where this hasnt been the case in the past 10 years for me is erasermic and fucken. gureshin. :/

This is a blog that will have +18 content, and will soon be suitable for people of legal age.
I don't know if people often write about themselves on Tumblr, because I'm new here btw, but I will♡
I have nothing to post, so I'll tell a little about myself.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
My name is Maya and I'm almost 18 years old. Of course, I'm still 17, but I'll be 18 in less than 3 months, so don't worry about that.
I like a lot of things! In fact, I love watching anime and doramas, as well as following K-Pop groups♡. I'm a fan of 90+ K-Pop groups, so you can imagine.
K-POP GROUPS
I'll highlight some K-Pop groups that I like!
These are BlackPink, BTS, Twice, Girls' Generation, EXO, 2NE1, f(x), Super Junior, 2PM, BigBang, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, GFriend, Momoland, Got7, Stray Kids, Itzy, SHINee, (G)I-dle, After School, Apink, Lovelyz, Miss A, 4Minute, NewJeans, TXT, Wonder Girls, TVXQ!, Everglow, SS501, Fin.K.L, Baby V.O.X./Baby Vox Re.V, Shinhwa, Kara, T-ara, IVE, S.E.S., and 1TYM (i know the latter is a korean hip-hop group).
Note: I also like some solo singers like BoA, Henry, and Park Bom (ex-2NE1).
Of course there are other groups, but at the moment I don't remember them. When I remember, I'll put them here too.
ANIMES
Now I'm going to talk about my otaku tastes.
I can't say that I've watched that many animes. However, I've watched One Piece, Naruto (Classic and Shippuden), Death Note, Sailor Moon, Futari wa Pretty Cure, Citrus, InuYasha, Tokyo Revengers and Demon Slayer. I didn't finish all of these, but I got to watch a little (or a lot).
I confess that I have a special affection for One Piece, Naruto and Death Note. They are definitely works that saved my life.
DORAMAS
I love doramas! I will contextualize dramas here, like every kind of Asian series/show.
So I'll start with my all-time favorite dorama, Hana Yori Dango, and some of its international versions, which are Boys Over Flowers and Meteor Garden. Also, I also love Alice in Borderland, Girl from Nowhere, All Of Us Are Dead, 1 Litre of Tears (this was the saddest drama I've ever watched in my life, I cried SO MUCH when I saw it...), 14-sai no Haha, and King the Land.
I also like the Thai lesbian movies called Yes or No and Yes or No 2.
SERIES
I've also watched some series, like Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Riverdale, Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black, Euphoria, Game of Thrones (although I haven't finished most of them because I have ADHD) , and many others...
MUSIC
Besides K-Pop, I also like some solo singers like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lana Del Rey, Melanie Martinez, Adele, Mitski, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Avril Lavigne, Madonna, Akon, Nelly Furtado, and others...
And rock bands... Like Evanescence, Paramore, Pierce the Veil, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Panic! at the Disco, Tokio Hotel and more more...
SOME BONUS
I love Studio Ghibli movies. I love to read and write fanfics, and yes, I consume and will produce NSFW content.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
My mother tongue is Portuguese, because I'm Brazilian. However, I'm trying to learn better and improve my English here on Tumblr.
I confess that I am quite a perfectionist, and sometimes a little lazy. I don't care about likes/comments as long as I'm doing what I really enjoy, but anyway, of course a like or a comment on any future fanfics I create would make me really happy!♡
CONCLUSION
This blog certainly didn't tell half of me, but it may already have given you a certain idea. I think so...
This is a personal and interactive account, so if I start writing here on Tumblr, I will PROBABLY create another account specifically for that.
So I end up here♡
