FAQ & Important Info
About me:
bday: march 30th
lgbt?: im bi
What can we call you?
Seraphont is fine, its supposed to be a play on of Seraph and Serif Font, you can call me Seraph!
What pronouns do you use?
I'd prefer They/Them, but you can use She/Her.
Whats your Main blog?
not posting it publically for now.
Dying and Getting Over It (DaGOI au) Related:
Where can I read DaGOI?
It will be uploaded to my Ao3. its currently being written, so there is no link to the fic yet.
When will you post the fic?
short answer: I'm not sure, possibly by early october. its my first time writing a fic, so I ask you to be patient with me! the outline is written and being tweaked, and its going through adjustments now that MD ep 8 is out. Im also moving across the world, so I'm a tad bit busy rn.
Will you include MD ep8 into the canon of your fic?
at first I was on the fence, but its grown on me, its being integrated now.
Will you be drawing all of DaGOI in comic form?
if I was a stronger man I would. I'll mostly be drawing key story moments. making comics is an aid to helping me write. so I'll be making a lot, but I may not be posting them until the chapters start coming out (trying not to spoil everything). to give you an idea, as of writing this, I have 6 comics on the backburner lol.
Art Related:
What art program(s) do you use?
Procreate -Brushes: Shiyoon Kims Wet Brush pack (X) (everything you see on this blog is made with this brushpack) and several Max Packs (X) for procreate
How long have you been drawing?
I've always drawn, but I started getting really serious at 14, around the same time I first made my main blog. I was self taught up until I got into animation school.
What do you do as a career?
I'm currently doing Freelance work for publishers and individuals. I was previously an animator, I'm making the move to storyboarding
Do you take requests/commissions?
I do have commissions open. only lineart, and flat colours are available. if you want a rendered piece: slots are closed, but you can dm me for interest.
Asks and Messaging:
Rules for asks/tagging?
Anyone can send me an Ask, Mutuals, Anons or not!
Dont send discourse or anything explicitly NSFW. you'll be blocked lol. I'd prefer if you didnt send suggestive. if you send me triggering content I’ll mind blast you into dust. (block).
Do not send and DNI's?
Transphobia, Homophobia, Acephobia. All the obvious bigot contenders.
SA, pdfilia and incest are absolute no goes.
are you okay with me direct messaging you?
only if we have spoken before/ you're giving me a headsup about something/ I've prompted you to send me one.
***minors: please refrain from dming me to chit chat, im not down to.***
Why don’t you answer my asks/dms?
my main has 1000+ asks and my other side blog is pushing 250+, sometimes the ask's get lost in the sauce. that being said, some ask's go unaswered because: 1. it might spoil too much if I were to answer. 2. I simply have to think hard to reply. 3. its super nice and im hoarding it all for myself.
Misc
Can you reblog my donation posts?
no. too many scams.

my drawing skills are a little rusty but I did a concept drawing for my dancae fanchild! ik technically vidyadhara can't procreate but lets say in this au they can (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
feel free to send me asks if anyone wants to know more about him. please give me an excuse to talk more about him (*^‿^*)
his name is jin
he strongly resembles dan heng, looks wise and personality- he is rather stoic, isn't much of a talker
he also takes after caelus and enjoys messing with people with his usual stoic expression
is a bit of a mama's boy, is smiley with caelus. he loves his dad a lot too, but very clearly has a favourite parent
is spoiled by the astral express family- march & himeko loved dressing him up when he was younger. welt enjoyed and still enjoys telling him stories.
has very obvious dragon features which he can be a little insecure about but doesn't mind it as much as he got older
like dan heng, he can also change his appearance to appear more human. dan heng taught him how to do it
also like dan heng, he has special powers, which they learned about when he was a toddler- it was complete chaos but luckily they managed to keep things under control

I was supposed to write a paper, but my brain decided to fixate on an au that vaguely entered my mind at 3 am. Now it’s 6 am and I have a whole chart to share and ask questions about.
So I’m really into Linked Universe @linkeduniverse and I’ve also been watching Dungeon Meshi. Mush them together and that’s the au.
Before going into this, note that relationships between characters are altered so things don’t get weird. I’m not a big shipper. So if there is any romantic relationships, it’s likely between Link and Zelda (Or some other canon relationship).
All the notes are done in Procreate and I was writing with my finger so don’t judge my handwriting.
Red means I’m pretty certain that I want that character in that role. (Still taking input on them tho)
Blue means I have an idea but, I’m uncertain.
Purple means I’m really uncertain and would really like some input.
The Touden Party came pretty easy to me. The only issue is Marcille. I initially had Legend as Marcille, but I have some pretty fun ideas if Legend is Shuro instead.
At the moment I have Twilight as Marcille. Which I honestly like. I mean he uses dark magic of which Chilchuck/Four has some gripes about, has big sibling energy with Laios/Wild, and is an adult who Senshi/Time views as younger than he is. The issue comes in with Twilight’s relationship with Falin/Hyrule. I don’t really know their dynamic that well so idk if Twilight would match Marcille’s desperation. So input on that would be nice.
I quite like the idea for Shuro/Legend’s party. The only grievance I have with it is that Legend is my favorite Link and I would like him to be more present for the story. But if I must sacrifice favoritism for the story I will.
I had initially been hesitant about these roles but I’ve decided that I quite like them. Though I’m super unsure about who should be Mr and Mrs Tansu.
Wars as Kabru was a no brained to me. I think out of all the Links he’s the most assimilated into society and is the resident human expert. I have general ideas about the rest of the party, but Daya is giving me some trouble.
To be honest, I’m in the middle of watching the anime so most of my knowledge about these characters are from being on social media. So I would greatly appreciate input on these ones in particular.
These ones I just thought would be fun.
As for the Canaries, they’re also a group I know very little about so help would be appreciated. One thing to note is that I thought it would be fun if all of them were characters from Hyrule Warriors.
I have literally no info on these characters aside from them having a relation to Senshi/Time. So idk if the Kokiri fit.
Lastly this is a list of Minor characters. These ones aren’t too important to the au, but I thought it might be fun or interesting. I don’t have many ideas for it tho. So if anyone has any suggestions, I’m open to hearing them.
If you suggest a character because a plot point that could be a spoiler for me, still feel free to share anyways because I will enjoy the show regardless of being spoiled.
This isn’t anything super serious. I might make a couple mini comics about it. But this is all just for fun. I’m not trying on a be super rigid with the story.
Thank you if you read all of this. Feel free to dm any suggestions.
P.S. I finished writing all of this out around 7 am so I’ve been working on this for the past 4 hours at an ungodly hour lmao

Finally decided to get over my very stupid and completely unhelpful fear of starting new things (and the unavoidable imperfection in the early days of learning something new) and started messing around more in Procreate. It’s only been 2 decades since the initial “I should really learn how to draw in Photoshop” thought that has plagued me ever since… 20 years isn’t an absurd amount of time to put something off, is it? Yes, yes, I am facepalming so hard right now.
Long story short, I think I’m gonna like it here. Def a bit rusty when it comes to drawing without a grid — something I use to help layout my colored pencil commissions — but it feels good to exercise the muscle again.
There’s even a built in time-lapse feature! I feel so spoiled.
Any helpful tips for someone just starting out in Procreate? Scout had a lot to critique in terms of my technique, but not so much in the way of tips and tricks. I’ve already had to google so many basic things.

preview to chapter 12 of sex is better on the moon (update coming soon)
“Are those drawings?” Lance said. He came closer, sitting beside him to look. He was warm as he leaned into Keith's space. Glancing at him, Keith took in his curious eyes, the gentle slope of his cheeks, the sharp points of his ears, the bounce of his curls, much neater now that he had a comb to tame them with. “It's just a journal,” Keith said. “I'm not a scientist or a researcher — hell, I dropped out — but being on Red's turned me into an apt observer.” He held it out to Lance, who eagerly took it in his hands. Keith watched him as he began at the first page, reading through Keith's observations and running his finger over drawings and life studies. His eyes were interested, lashes long and gently fanning over them with every blink. His lips were slightly parted, mouthing wordlessly as he read. “This is beautiful,” Lance whispered. “And thorough.” He kept turning pages, pausing at the spider. “It's venomous?” “Yeah,” Keith said. “Found that out the hard way. It kills smaller creatures like bugs, incapacitates its natural predators, and is just really annoying for me. Basically swells the area and makes it really painful to touch — ah, there it is.” He pointed at the drawing he had made of his own calf and the enormous swelling on the side of it. He had even colored it in. Lance grimaced and said, “That looks really painful.” He looked over at Keith's leg, and Keith lifted the pant leg to show him the bald spot. The hair never grew back in that centimeter-wide area, and Keith was hairy enough for it to be obvious. “It hurt for a while,” Keith agreed. “Bearable, though. Swelling went down after a few days. And those spiders aren't so bad. They only attack if they feel threatened.” Lance gave him a pained look. “Those things were crawling all over me,” he whined. “I think they just really liked you,” Keith said. “When they're about to bite, the little puff balls around their mouths dampen and they lift up their legs and torso to make themselves bigger. But they never did when they were on you.” Lance shuddered. He turned the page, perusing the journal, reading through passages Keith had written, and pausing when he encountered a drawing of the blink dog. “Oh, our baby!” he said happily. “Aw, look at her, she's so cute. You really did her justice!” He smiled at Keith who scoffed. “What do you mean our baby?” he said with a wry glance. “That's your spoiled heathen.” “Please, you love her,” Lance said, most assuredly. He showed Keith all the data he had written down. “Look! She has the most entries!” He read aloud, “No sexual dimorphism or sexual characteristics apparent. Fur patterns vary but largely remain the same…” He hummed. “Does this mean my baby isn't a girl?” “I don't know,” Keith said with a light shrug. “My study was interrupted when my radiation suit got damaged. I never found out how they procreate. Could be a boy, could be a girl, could be both or neither.” He shrugged. “They could reproduce asexually or even just clone themselves somehow, but that's unlikely.” “Well, she's a girl at heart,” Lance said, nodding sagely, and then he turned the page. He stared. Keith looked away from Lance and to the notebook. He went still. “That's me,” Lance said dumbly.

arcane season 3 has me feeling CRAZYYYY i won’t spoil anything but let’s just say i’ve never seen so many people crash out at once
here’s a scene redraw i did of caitvi!! i love lesbians…i tried a lot of new techniques with coloring and lighting that i’ve never done before, so this took me a super long time, but i’m really proud of how it came out. i stayed very true to the original with this one, so i think i lost a little bit of my own style since it was so heavily referenced. still, i think there’s a little element of me in there and i definitely learned a lot from this :)
oh also last thing!! i made a tiktok for my art :) same username as here please follow xoxoxo

Typographic Design II - Blog 2
For our first blog, we were assigned the first chapter of Typographic Design, exploring the time history of typography. My first impression was that of marveling at the progress of our technology. It’s hard to imagine a world where I would write a blog through clay cuneiforms or woodblock printing. Modern media does not often portray the meticulousness of old-world typography. Growing up on a computer has left me spoiled in a sense.
The first semester of my sophomore year was the first time I had to challenge myself when making typography. I had been accustomed to pen and paper or simply using procreate. The professor assigned us to carve type with exact blades while teaching us to understand the specific anatomy. I remember being frustrated at first, I was sloppy the first few trials with the exacto blade, and Procreate had made life comfortable and simple.
That being said, the professor heavily promoted the benefits of time-on-tool, which I have begun to see the results of. Typography Design II is pushing us for this approach as well, leading me to our third project of redesigning the alphabet. I started out of order, going with “F” first. The design is based on a cartoon fox, the material here being watercolor. “Q” is my second letter and its design is based on the renowned artist Wassily Kandinsky. Next is “A”. I initially had many alternative directions for the letter with the design mainly gravitating toward the graffiti style. Eventually, I decided to go with something playful, shaping the letter into an Among Us character. Like “Q”, I plan to use pen and markers for the final design.

♒️: I found an interesting article about how women miss signs of infidelity in men because the man is benevolently sexist. (Like the nice sexism that makes men treat women on pedestals).
I don’t believe in monogamy anyways anymore so it’s whatever.
♒️: Ethical Non-Monogamy for the win
I’m over here like “can I keep you until you are ready to procreate? You can still have other bitches” “aha at least you are a better kisser now 😉” “there is going to be a line of btches behind me soon, idk how got to you first”
It’s like …. I want to help him out and teach him “game” but I don’t even know how to pickup girls either so 😅 I’m not much help in that department. At least I can be a fun toy to experiment with 😈 but I joked with him that I’m the woman who turns Christian Grey into what ever he is in Fifty Shades Of Grey and booooooooy this boy is kinky. I wonder if other women would even withstand some of this? Am I doing his a disservice by accident enjoying the way he man-handles me in bed and spoils me out of bed? I feel like he is a book-talk dream ladies 🥵😳
We just have to work on taking flattering photos 😊 parts of me are selfish and don’t want to help him find his forever home 👿. But we all know how selfish I am 🫤. It’s none of my business anyways honestly. The only thing that is my business is what he was with me while he is here 😌. I don’t look at his phone when it’s in front of me, that’s none of my business. Besides when he is showing me something and scrolls past a photo of me he has sent to one of his female friends 🫠. A photo of me like 6 years ago 😅. Do I even still look like that 🥲? Kinda actually.
Last time I had a pet like this, I didn’t actually want to keep him. The mindset I was in then was totally different. This feels different. I like him more 😈 .

Meet the Artist
Hello! I am Veronica and this is my blog for all my various creative projects. A few things about me:
I am mostly experienced with traditional art, but am currently trying to get into Procreate and improve my digital skills
I have a very eclectic style, so I definitely switch up the “look” of my art quite often
I am self taught and currently do this as a hobby only, but I would love to more seriously pursue creative projects in the future
I have many, many OCs. I welcome any and all questions about them, I don’t mind! I have many writing projects planned for the future, so I may on occasion leave some details out so as to not spoil stuff I might attempt to publish later
I will post some writing on here occasionally, but I’m very shy so it won’t be as often as my visual stuff
I DO create works that may contain nudity or violence and many of my writing projects deal with heavy subject matter. This is not an 18+ page, but I will generally not tag every instance of “graphic” content unless it is particularly egregious (for example very graphic gore or explicitly erotic material.) This distinction is mostly just whatever I intuit as being appropriate, but I just want to offer a broad warning for anyone who needs it.
Tumblr has stubbornly decided to not let me enable tipping, so unfortunately I cannot get tipping to work. If you want to support me and throw some money my way, my cashapp is $veronicasaril. Any contribution would be deeply appreciated!
I don’t currently have commissions open, I hope to have something set up in the future. If you’re reeeaaaally interested in requesting art from me, DM me and I’ll see what I can do
And to wrap up, some miscellaneous info: I’m an INFP, a Gemini, I love horror, I’m a big fan of Arthurian stuff, I enjoy cooking, and my dream is to one day have a little farm for myself to grow beautiful produce and raise some chickens
Thank you so much for visiting my blog 💗💕

Thoughts on Camp Zero (bit spoilery, mostly below the cut)
So I'm gonna have a full review later(tonight, tomorrow, whenever my thoughts are in order), but I wanted to regurgitate some ideas now, of the more spoileriffic variety that don't really fit in a review. I'm gonna try to keep it mostly vague before the cut. This book has my brain confused, because I genuinely can't figure out if it's entirely non-self-aware or if it's a clever critique of a particularly harmful form of feminism.
If you're unfamiliar, the basic plot is that, in a climate-ravaged future, the people of the US are looking to the northern reaches of Canada to save them from soaring global temperatures. There's two plots that converge there, one involving a sex worker sent to work at a remote construction camp(her plot was fine) and the other involving an all-woman group of scientists working a remote military base. The latter plotline continually circles back to ideas regarding the natures of men and women, casting men as destructive conquerors and women as the ones capable of creating sustainable community.
However, as much as the book says this, what the book does seems to contradict it, not so much through the actions of the men as through the actions of the women. For every heinous act men were accused of, I saw a woman in that novel doing the same damn thing and calling it right. And for the life of me I can't tell if it was intentional. The only indication in the book that it might have been intentional was the question Rose asks a few pages from the end, which I won't spoil before the cut, but if you know you know. That was a callout if I've ever seen one, but I question whether it was meant to call out everything or just refer to that one character and her situation.
So I'm conflicted as to if this is a good book, or if it's only a good book in my own head(because of my personal interpretation), or if actually it's garbage and I've deluded myself. I checked some author interviews but they all seem very surface-level, meant to market the book rather than discuss it. So from those interviews she seems to stand by and promote the feminism/strong female characters in the book, and I can't tell if it's genuine(ie, the book is meant to be read straight, and any sub-text is accidental) or if she's engaging in marketing deception so the reader gets punched by the intentional sub-text. Unfortunately, most readers don't seem to have noticed the sub-text. Alternately, I may have invented my own sub-text that nobody else has noticed because it doesn't actually exist!
Examples supporting my interpretation are under the cut. Thar be spoilers!
First, there's the accusation of dominion. Men take land and resources for themselves. Yes, they did and do. But the women of White Alice do the same thing, using the lands the oil towns are on as their hunting grounds and stealing resources. They even go so far as to tag said territory, and take any lives deemed necessary to ensure secrecy.
There's also the taking of women. Yes, this is something some men feel entitled to do. But what was what the WA women did to the military men, when they got them drunk and had sex with them(at best, dubious consent), if not the taking of men to serve their own needs — in this case, procreation? Similarly, the way they talked about and recruited the barber and Grant was very much a taking, even down to the part where they were renamed in accordance with WA's perspective. We never learn the barber's original name, only the WA-given one he wanted to be rid of and the pseudonym he adopted in the camp.
Then there's the idea that men don't build sustainable community. This one's not as straightforward, because it's a more complex idea, but the contrast seems to be Meyer's campus vs WA. Yes, Meyer's idea was flawed from the start, and he was...let's just say there was a lot going on, there. But he meant every bit as well as WA did, and just as his naive ideas were ultimately less than perfect, so were theirs. As mentioned, they weren't self-sustaining. They stole from nearby communities, from Meyer's project. They stole from the seed bank(they had permission to take some for two years, *not* for twenty-seven years). To continue perpetuating their society, they would have to steal as much as Meyer would have! Yes they made a mention of going green, but it was just one line and their last action in the story was to steal an entire truckload of oil. They're as much a parasite as Meyer would have been.
Now, Rose's question, the one thing that makes me wonder if this was all intentional. She asks Willow, "What mother raises her daughter to kill in her name?" Willow rebuffs her, as most people would if confronted in that manner about family, but this is the first time the author has acknowledged in-text that WA might not be entirely correct. And if they're wrong about one thing, might they be wrong about all the rest of it, too? I don't see why this would have been included if not to cast doubt, but it's far from clear, especially when looking at the way the book is marketed.

It was hard to scrounge up a proper rebuttal. A direct approach has always been the cleric's preferred strategy. Time was precious, and it was better to take advantage of what little one got with effective confrontations. But then again, there was often a time and place for a little enchantment. Shadowheart has not personally received the warmth of such fondness, but she weaved those stories in her own mind, spurred by the artistry of the literature she skimmed. Raunchy, yes, but illustrative of the wiles that came with feverish companionship.
Overly indulgent poetry almost sickened her, but she also found herself disagreeing with rabid procreation. It wasn't something that deserved much of her attention, either way. Romance would never belong in her life.
"Oh, I have a wealth of hobbies at my disposal, Alaara, but what's the fun in telling you?" she playfully caged her secrets, what she was best at. "All you need to know is that I have no intention of spoiling my evenings squashed between you and that wizard."
Her legs adjusted, folding herself into a more comfortable position. She snatched at the wine bottle, shaking it by its neck, listening, gauging how much remained.
"Your sister?" Shadowheart gave the bard a squint. "I never knew you had a sister." Okay, well, maybe she had mentioned it once or twice. It might've slipped the cleric's mind. Her memory had about as many holes as an archery target. "Well—whatever, you shouldn't waste your time telling me how much you love me. I couldn't care less." Oh, but she could. The Sharran cared much more than she claimed.
Darkened red sloshed inside of her cup, the broth of a sour grape, the last drops falling from the bottle's mouth. Shadowheart washed down her throat, wine staining her lips.
"It's not much of a mystery, to be fair." Observation was something of a necessity in her line of worship. Sharrans hunted and prowled, and a sharpened eye could pry apart lives just as much as a sharpened blade. "You laugh at all of Gale's sorry excuses for humor. In fact, you might be the only one here who can actually keep up with his level of verbosity." Another gulp of swill.
Shadowheart granted it a second thought. Alaara treated everyone with that courtesy. Maybe Gale wasn't really that special or unique, maybe the bard just chose to see passion in everyone and everything. Even within Shadowheart. Is it gutless idealism that keeps Alaara smiling at her like that, or could there truly be something worth kindling within the dark?
"Ugh, I think this wine is poisoned. I feel sick." Angrily, she dispensed the rest into the dirt, her stomach flipping about like a fish on the shore.
"Feral lust has its place," Alaara pointed out. "For many, the directness of it is preferable to the drawn-out dance of romantic courtship."
The bard dipped her head, thinking of most of her own kind. They didn't act like the goblins did, but they certainly didn't spend a lifetime steeped in romance either. They were direct and to the point. Relationships were meant primarily for propagating their race and bringing honor to clan names, nothing more. Perhaps such methods had come about because her kind had been rended from its native plane and because they'd suffered enslavement. Time for love and romance didn't exist; only survival was key. Dragonborn were virtually the same as the Githyanki in that regard, she realized.
At any rate, that was neither here nor there. At least- for the time being. Alaara doubted that Shadowheart wanted a history lesson about Dragonborn that very moment.
"What would you do with your time instead?" she asked out of curiosity. "Would you while away the hours practicing spells and honing your prowess with weapons? Would you spend them praying to your goddess? Do you have a secret hobby you haven't told me of? Don't think I'm insulting any of those choices. Do as you wish."
At the mention of finding love, her heart lurched. She schooled her expression to stay neutral and hoped that Shadowheart had no experience in reading Dragonborn emotions. Her tail ever so slightly flicked behind her. Karlach... Gods, she was brimming with love. In Alaara's observations, the tiefling had grown rather close to Wyll. But it was hard to tell if that closeness had truly yet blossomed into something else. Though, if it hadn't, it was damned close to doing so.
As for herself... Well, life had surprised her to put it simply. She hadn't had love on the mind before being tadpoled; she'd been preoccupied with her tavern, and was in no rush to find someone new after her break-up a year prior. But unless she was going insane, she felt love had crept up on her and was gnawing at her mind. Of all the places to find the heart wandering, on the road of battle was not the perfect place for it.
"A bard finding love seems like such an obvious, straightforward surety doesn't it?" she answered. "What is a bard if not silver-tongued enough to easily land a lover? Or many lovers?" She scoffed. "My sister fits that bill most excellently. I don't think she can even count the number of people she's fallen for or slept with any longer. As for myself? I cherish everyone in camp. I could ask for no finer company than all of you."
Her gaze flicked across camp.
"I would be lying if I said I held everyone in equal regard. I care deeply for all of you, I would die for all of you, but I cannot ignore the stirrings of something deeper for someone." She chuckled. "As for who it is that holds sway over my heart, I will keep that to myself. May you have fun unraveling the mystery."
"Perhaps it will be difficult to tell? Or perhaps I'm merely fooling myself, and give no mystery to who I favor whatsoever. You will have to do as I do: observe."
