Mario And Luigi Are Twins Part 1

Something I've come to learn is a lot of people don't know Mario and Luigi are twins, and that when I bring it up to them they are surprised. So I decided to make this post talking about it.

So in the games since Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island it's established Mario and Luigi are twins, as seen in the intro. It even mentions they have a twin bond that let's them know where each other are. This also includes page 3 of the manual. "In his bill, he supports a pair of twins." "The bond between the twins informs each of them where the other is."

In Super Mario Run in the bio for Luigi it mentions he's Mario's twin brother. "Mario's twin brother is shy and easily scared but that won't keep him from jumping a little higher!"

Finally in one to information tidbits that can be seen when starting up a level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, it mentions Luigi is Mario's taller slightly younger twin. "While they may be twin brothers, Luigi is taller and slightly younger than Mario."

Now here's an interesting detail from the OVA. While it's not canon the OVA does parallel the games and has concepts that would be later introduced in the games. Keep in mind this animation came out a whole year after the Super Mario Bros. So yeah, Mario and Luigi are twins.! Part 2 is in the works.

lately ive been thinking about if duncan hills has anything to do with the prophecy, or if the duncan hills jingle show was actually the inciting incident of the metalocalypse as opposed to salacia killing ravenwood.

Steam siblings AU time! Some plot ideas I've been having.

Pilot season: Nya and Kai are running the shop and Wu comes and goes. Skeletons home and go. And Kai is now a ninja. Shit stays the same, but Kais spinjitsu is red…. AND BLUE! Others are weirded out but move on. 

Same shit but when the volcano scene happens, Nya is hot-headed as Kai uses the Golden sword and it responds to her. She can use it to the fullest extent like Kai. Now Garmadon is very confused and so is Wu when he shows up. 

Wu: “How is Nya using the fire sword? She is a water elemental!”

Nay and Kai: “A what?”

Shit goes mostly the same and only when they get back to the monastery do they examine the whole situation.

So they do some tests. Kai and Nya can make and use fire. But Nya can also use water. Wu is having a great time reading scrolls and books looking for answers for days. Kai is a little jealous, but also a little relieved, because is still scared of water. But, low and behold, he is also a water elemental.

These tests are very hard on them because they are inpatient people and anytime they try to use the same power at the same time, the other can't use it.  They take that as a sign of failure. It takes them some time to figure it out.

After they realize it, they decide that Kai uses fire and Nya water as their main power. 

The serpentine season will be different and the same. Like Pythor will do the same shit, but snakes are more sympathetic and Wu is a bit snakist. The ninja will be the peacemaker between the humans and the snakes. This is inspired by No Wu AU by IdkWhereIAmWhatAmIDoing. A great fix, read it. NOW.

Lloyd is a child. Either he's the one that releases the snakes or they find him in the trash can. I like him being a menace, so he might release the snakes.

Garmadon might not help with the great devour. But he knows that Llyod is the green ninja. Misaki knew, so ain't no way that she didn't tell Garmadon this. Or Garmadon knowing the prophecy and thinking he is the great evil that Lloyd will face (spoilers, it's the overlord). But Wu doesn't, I mean why would he? Misako and Garmadon are trying to prevent the prophecy and they might think that Wu will ‘force’ Llyod to fight or train as a ninja.

The overlord saga will happened by Garmadon never teaming up with the snakes, but going to the bad Island.

So Gramaboy is trying to get power or run from the prochecy by going to the island that literal evil can't escape. That way he can keep his son safe.

In a Spartan kingdom

There was a royal man

The prince was named Hyacinthus

He was athletic and gorgeous

And with this beauty many tried

To get his hand and be unified

From Queens to Kings

To men to women

To the suitors it stings

His heart had not been taken

Many failed and many tried

But the prince was not satisfied

Until one faithful day

The god Apollo came his way

And saw the prince with all his glory

And knew he needed to have this beauty

So he flew straight down

Unto the earth

And when the prince was found

He was filled with mirth

Hyacinthus saw Apollo

And there he freaked

He lowered his head low

For he was meek

"Rise your majesty

I had not come to bring tragedy

I request harmony

I want your hand

For you must understand

I have never met such a gorgeous man"

Apollo said with flattery

And the prince listened breathlessly

The prince fell for his charm

And fell in love

For he knew no harm

That would come from above

They were both equally in love

That was for sure

And the god Apollo could not ask for more

Many moons had passed

And long their love had last

The god and mortal were so close

It would surprise most

And surprised the west wind was

The god Zephyrus

Saw the couple's love and was jealous

So he watched from afar

The God's heart turned tar

And he planned for the loves doom

One sunny day

A classic game of discus

To see who had greater aim

The prince went first

And threw it with all his might

And as it took it's flight

The prince felt delight

It was quite profound

How great his aim was

For a mortal around

Apollo was impressed

He must admit

But it was now his turn

For he was a god of many things

From prophecies to poetry

To music and archery

To plagues and healings

Apollo threw the discus

With great precision

Not much to discuss

It was a wise decision

It flew so far

Hyacinthus could barely see

So he chased the discus

Apollo followed behind

But unbeknownst to him

Zephyrus was ready to ruin the game

Right on a whim

While the discus was in the air

Zephyrus blew it off course

But this was not for flair

It was much worse

The discus flew back down

Before Hyacinthus could stop

It broke his crown

Then there a crimson drop

The prince had fallen

And there Apollo ceased

He held his dear

With growing fear

He screamed and wept

The king Hades felt pity

But he was still dead truly

As Apollo dried his eyes

He looked at his love

How could a god of prochecy

How could a god of healing

Apollo stared at the crimson

Thus he made a decision

To be entirely weird about a kids' book series for a minute

is it just me or is the ending to The Prochecies Begin (Warriors, Erin Hunter).... like.... strange as hell.

Tigerstar was an effective villain, especially for a fucking cat. He was smart, he planned well, he knew how to use the trust Bluestar had in him, and the trust the rest of everyone in his Clan had of him to get what he wanted.

But like... I think back on TPB, and think not really of how truly threatening and dangerous Tigerstar was, but of the weird shit that happened in book six.

Scourge really felt like he came out of nowhere, and then just... killed Tigerstar. The Villain, who had been endlessly terrorizing our hero, the forest, and almost gotten away with it, was just...... killed. Not even climactically. Slashed, left to bleed each of his nine lives onto the dirt while all watched in horror, so a new, badder villain could take over the final fight, and one we had literally been introduced to in that book.

I think Scourge could have been a more effective twist villain if ha had been set up more form the beginning- if there had been some hint that there was this cat.

who.... also wasn't really that dangerous I feel like? Scourge was a normal cat in most every way. He wasn't as threatening to me as Tigerstar, and I really didn't feel motivated to watch him be defeated, especially when the villain that had been build up for five books was just unceremoniously killed off for him. We had no connection to Scourge, we hadn't been seeing his misdeeds through the hero's eyes the whole series, knowing that he had to be stopped.

Scourge felt very nothing.

I think more people should talk about how Derniere Danse fits Furina so much

Furina & Dernière Danse;

I listened this music (Indila - Dernière Danse), first time thanks to this, anon. And i really love it! You are right! It really fits Furina's character!

Music's name is Dernière Danse, meaning is Last Dance. Just like the name of Fontaine story teaser, 'The Final Feast'.

Music is about her hurting feelings, loneliness. Furina is theme is about eternal loneliness and she is very emotional character.

She is very dramatic, just like the woman in song. (Just people pushing her and looking her weird and she acts like she is suddenly Cinderella, poor girl with tragic life, lol.) And it almost like she is turning her pain into drama. She is sad and she is dancing.

'I move mountains, day and night' words, its fits Furina since she is archon. (To be honest, every part of this music including lyrics kinda fits her too.)

Place is Paris/France and Fontaine is inspired from France.

There is a storm coming and everyone is running while girl is running towards the storm. Its also just like the prochecy from the story and how Furina is trying to solve the problem on her own and most likely, she plans to sacrifice herself while doing it.

Apperantly, music is about her unable to move on from her painfull past, and storm symbolize her troubles and instead of running away like everyone, she face against it and in the end, by letting picture, she moves on. This might be the case with Furina too since Neuvillette once mentioned when he watched a theatre about manipulative woman still control over people, even after her death, she still has impact on them. He says its like the current real life so he might be talking about Furina. And she also needs to face her fears and troubles to move on and grow to be better so.

This girl style (clothes, shoes, hair style etc) and looks kinda similar to Furina. Like, something she might wear. It fits her.

Now, this makes me wanna see Furina character teaser. I want something like this, no, even better.

And you are right, more people should talk about this ^^!

Btw, i think Ice Wind Suite would also fits Furina. She and Neuvillette could (should) make that dance. It also fits them (maybe their story are parallels too, we will see) because they are pair in a lot of ways.

The Prophecy About Mario And Luigi

So in the Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island manual on page 5 there is an explanation about why Kamek is trying to kidnap Baby Mario and Luigi. Kamek had gotten a prophecy that 2 twin brothers would bring disaster for the Koopa Family. "The kidnapper is Kamek, an evil Magikoopa from the Koopa Kingdom. Having divined last night that twin babies born this morning will bring disaster to the Koopa family." I find this extra interesting given the fact that this prophecy showed up even before this game.

While non canon the Mario OVA has an old man speak of a prophecy about 2 twin brothers that would help the Mushroom Kingdom. Keep in mind this animation took place long before Yoshi's Island, and only one year after the original Super Mario Bros. game.

In addition it also sets Mario and Luigi living on the same planet as the Mushroom Kingdom, in a Kingdom of their own. This all before the introduction of the Metro Kingdom and New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey, and even Big Ape City being on the same planet in Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong 94.

This prophecy could be the reason why Bowser's troops are in the sewers of Mario Bros./Did Somebody Call A Plumber. With Kamek with Bowser Kamek could have told him about this prophecy, and Bowser sent his troops to prevent the Bros. from finding their way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Only to lead them directly to it.

What's Darksun's prophecy?

After a while, he began to embrace his own incompitence and weird place in humanity

I really appreciate his growth mindset and acceptance. How did that happen? or is he just one of the few, if not only, more grounded and sensible prophesized villains out there?

Darksun is, as his full villain name suggests, prophesied to end the universe and "bring the final reckoning of man". It is a very vague propechy on HOW he is supposed to achieve this, but it does the prophecy version of adressing him by his social security number so it is definitely his prochecy.

After enough failed attempts at starting the end of all days, humans stopped seeing him as a threat. This annoyed him at first, but having people not be terrified of your every move does wonders for your social life. That, and there are so many unthreatening villains in Estenburg that he has a pretty good support group once he accepts that he is one of them.

I imagine that there are several people that become a well-adjusted failed world-enders, but he may just be the only one that continues to fail to end the world anyway even after accepting that he will never succeed.

Character Cards - Ventus! 

The human glowstick from the begining of time has arrived! Ventus has been traumatized, memory whipped, and through through time, but he will always wake up just in time to help his friends! 

For Ven,

There wasn't a lot of choice for outfits, but some additions I could make. Going with this BBS look, with the Mark of Mastery symbol on his chest and the addition Keyblade Armor. I went further with his armor by adding his pants as well as his arm being in the armor form. As a call back to his time with the Dandelions, I included the logo of the Book of Prochecies on his pants, sans the demon wing. I also included a neat little shadow of Vanitas peaking through. 

For his Title Logo, 

It was as simple as recreating the D-Link Logo, with a tiny bit more flare.

MonsterVerse Godzilla and Mothra

So something a few days ago popped into my head as I watched one of the Godzilla x Mothra Memory Reboot videos over on youtube.

Now we all know those affiliated with the MonsterVerse really dont do much in building up the lore of the MonsterVerse but something popped into my head. Now I am not here to argue the legitimacy of the tie-in comics because very little of what they established has been acknowledge in the movies, the Netflix series Skull Island, or Monarch Legacy Monsters (yet). But for this theory I will acknowledge that Dagon fought an enemy Muto which ended up causing his death.

Lets look at some established facts from the MonsterVerse - A Godzilla species was killed by a Muto - Godzillas and Mothras have a symbiotic relationship - It was discovered that Mothra of KotM, laid an egg in the end credits - There was a Iwi prochecy that stated that an Iwi from Skull Island will wake up Mothra

My "What If..." theory is:

What if every Godzilla has a designated Mothra to help them maintain control/balance/and keep each other in line? We all know that Godzilla and Mothra had their symbiotic cut short by Ghidorah, but with "Mothra's Mother" as some call her can't help him like KotM's Mothra?

I think the GxK Mothra might have been laid to help Dagon keep balance, but hatched to late to be his "Queen." With no purpose she laid the one that would become KotM Mothra (who did hatch in time to help Godzilla in Boston but ended up giving her life for him) and went into Hollow Earth and went into hibernation. But we all know she also laid an egg, based of the credits. So who is to say that this egg wont hatch a Mothra to help the next Godzilla when he needs her or to help maintain balance?

Sure as long as GxK's Mothra remains alive she will possibly help Godzilla out when he needs her help. However I dont think it would be possible that if such a situation ever arose like in KotM, he could absorb her life force. Just like if she were alive when Godzilla's successor ever comes forth, he wouldnt be able to use her life force because he already has a Mothra waiting for the moment to hatch.

Anyway thats something that popped into my head. Is it possible? Don't know, but I would like to know what others think? Do you think such a symbiotic relation is generational or shared with every Godzilla/Mothra regardless of which one is the oldest (GxK's Mothra) and potential Godzilla-Successor?
