Is their any arcs in fairy tail you would change ? Also if you could make your own arcs what would it be about ? (To me I would make an arc that focuses more on the slayers , maybe they team up to find more info on their dragons parents since their looking for them and all)

I think for the most part im ok with the arcs in FT, or just the overall idea of em at the very least.

I'd scrap everything after Tartarus tho, that was just a mess that introduced too many new things and characters that really weren't needed and hardly contributed anything to the overall story?

And quite literally any time after tartarus was the golden opportunity for lore on magic, dragons, demons and whatever else other stuff to be properly put into the story and answering questions without it feeling like it was shoehorned in.

All the other arcs i'd probs just do minor changes with regards to lessening the comedic moments when they aren't needed and removing the fanservice moments or whatever with minor tweaks here and there.

The arcs id do the biggest changes to are Edolas, Tenrou and GMG.

Edolas as a whole is fun, love me a low stakes side story but in the wider scheme of the overall series is a bit disconnected from the main plot. So it needs something to connect it to the wider story (such as getting rid of the dragon slayer edo counterparts. They were from 400yrs in the past on earthland so they shouldnt have present day edo counterparts. Its a low enough issue that it wont seem that big a deal, but will still stick in a readers mind as to why a handful of major characters dont have edo counterparts. Its connects edolas to the bigger story decently and adds to the early story dragon slayer mystery)

Also personally i'd change up the King's motivation in Edolas but thats a minor thing

GMG i'd have it that FT doesn't win (maybe come in second or third), and change up the games a bit more with different rules so it doesn't feel like such a free for all at times. Easiest way to put it is to make it more like a wizard olympics where wizards are separated into different categories based on magic types and strength (caster type magic only events or holder magic only events, mixed magic events, S class wizards events, stuff like that). And also change up Sting and Rogue's initial motivation cause like, nah bro.

Also scrap the future rogue plotline. Just, away with it. Its not like it amounted to anything important in the end either way.

Also put a bigger gap in time between gmg and the eclipse gate situation because those 2 arcs bleeding into each other made it feel like one mega long arc instesd of two.

Tenrou, hoo boi tenrou would probs be my biggest change. Gajeel's scrapped spy subplot is gonna be in there, happening concurrently with the events of tenrou as he's spying on Raventail so they get an early introduction into the series and relevance. It'll have a heavy focus on Laxus and the whole issue with the dreyars and something something plot details that i cant be bothered to get into rn where eventually the 2 arcs converge with laxus and gajeel royally screwing over raven tail and getting wind of whats going on at tenrou, alerting the council yadda yadda yadda so that both laxus and the council members have plasible reasons as to why they were at tenrou.

Also i'd get rid of the 7 year timeskip cause nothing rlly came of that and introduce sabertooth earlier at the start of the arc but y'know, details
