Pay Attention to Me
TITLE: Pay Attention to Me
CHAPTER NUMBER/ONE SHOT: One Shot
AUTHOR: fanfickittycat
FANDOM: Haikyuu!!
CHARACTERS/PAIRING: Suna Rintaro x Reader
GENRE: Smut
FIC SUMMARY: After seeking advice from everyone about what to do when your boyfriend Suna won’t pay attention to you, you decide to take matters into your own hands
RATING: M
AUTHORS NOTES/WARNINGS: Unedited because that’s sexy right? Atsumu being a huge himbo. Read it on AO3 here
“Rin?” No response. You knew it was useless, but you couldn’t help but try to get your boyfriend’s attention. He was right next to you and he still wouldn’t respond, despite the way you’d call his name in the sweetest voice you could muster. You sighed, turning back to your maths homework that Suna had abandoned twenty minutes ago with no progress beyond the first set of sums. He always suggested study dates, but really it was just the chance to be near you without interacting.
“Talking isn’t necessarily communicating” he said once “I just like to be near you.”
At the time, it had made your heart melt that he was so satisfied and comfortable with just your presence, but lately it felt like a slap of indifference across your face. It was almost as if he thought of you as a pet, or a casual acquaintance instead of as his girlfriend. You looked at him, regarding his green eyes that looked at his phone with more interest than they looked at you. His thumb lazily scrolled down the screen as the clock ticked behind him. You could leave and he probably wouldn’t notice, but you were too shy, too nervous to make such a bold move. You finished up your homework glumly instead, packing away your things when it started to get dark.
“Done already?” Suna asked, speaking for the first time in two hours. You felt your heart sink into your stomach.
“Yeah” you looked away and nodded, pretending to be distracted by the inside of your school bag. It offered no comfort.
“Time flies” he hummed, stretching his arms up as though he had done anything more than be on Twitter. You swallowed thickly and stood up, feeling awkward when he didn’t follow suit.
“Well, I’ll get going then” you said. It prompted him to stand, which was encouraging, and he pressed a quick kiss onto your cheek before bidding you goodbye, but it didn’t calm the anxiety churning in your stomach. You were thankful you lived close by, only a couple of streets away at most, but it would have been nice if he had walked you. A cool spring breeze made a flurry of petals swirl around your ankles, and you breathed out shakily. Strings of gut-wrenching questions began to spin like threads in your mind. Was this it? Was this what you had to look forward to? Silence and your words hanging in the air, ignored? A lame kiss on the cheek as your only crumb of attention?
You contemplated your relationship when lying in bed that night. Suna had caught your eye, as he had many girls’. Tall, lean, athletic; his fox eyes had been subject to many a giggly conversation in the girls’ bathroom. You had thought him attractive, but what really captured your heart was how deceptively smart he was. You could see how intelligent he was. When he was picked on by the teacher in class, he always managed to have the answer, even though his tone was bored, and he didn’t look at all like he was paying attention. In the few volleyball games, you had attended with your friends, you observed how he calculated his chances with keen interest. He was more times than not on his phone, but you had seen him reading classic, dog eared paperbacks too as he waited for the twins to come out of class. It was how you had met.
“Vonnegut?” he noted, making you jump. You looked up to see him standing in front of you, hands in his pockets casually as he regarded you.
“Yeah” you cleared your throat, feeling your cheeks flush at the unexpected attention “I read Slaughterhouse Five last week and I liked it so…” You trailed off, feeling self-conscious. You had never spoken to him and vice versa. In fact, you were surprised that he even acknowledged you, even though it was a little pathetic to admit.
He nodded “I noticed.”
“You… noticed?” you frowned as you considered his words “do you make a habit of watching girls read?”
His lip quirked upwards “no. Only you.”
The chaotic sound of Miya Atsumu interrupted anything more being said, and you both looked towards the school as Atsumu held up a paper with a 32 written on it in red and circled. The blonde boy started raving to Suna, even at a distance, about how he had to do a make-up test and how badly he needed his help.
“God, he’s so loud” Suna mused, turning to walk away from you and towards his friend. You opened your mouth to say something but snapped it shut instead, not wanting to ruin whatever just happened.
“Tell me what you think when you finish” he said over his shoulder at you, nodding to the copy of Breakfast of Champions “I think you’ll like it.”
That had been it. From then on, you’d speak more and more to each other, straying off the topic of literature soon after. Then, when asked to pick partners for a history project, your friends had stared at you in open mouth shock when he walked across the class to claim you as his. His confession to you had only been a natural progression and you’d been together ever since.
So, what had changed? You knew that Nationals were coming up and he had been training more and more in preparation, but he had always carved out time for you, even in the summer when he’d go away to training camps. Was he tired of you? Bored even? You had to admit, that when gossip began to flutter around school about the two of you dating, you were really the one who was most surprised by the news. You were by no definition, popular, instead keeping a small group of friends and interacting with others easily with little to no friction. When you had asked Suna about it, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible, he had laughed.
“You think nobody sees you, but I do” he said, leaning his chin on his hand “the way you told the substitute teacher last month that you enjoyed her lecture, or the books you read in the courtyard, or the confident way you talk in class. I see it. I like it. I like you.” He said it like it was the simplest, easiest thing in the world. Now however it felt complicated. You didn’t feel seen or even liked anymore.
You groaned and turned over to bury your face in your pillow. A soft thud prompted you to reach over the side of your bed and retrieve the fox plushie that Suna had won for you at the summer festival last year. He had looked so beautiful in the light of the lanterns, and happy to consume all the misshapen onigiri that Osamu couldn’t sell that night. Atsumu had practically inhaled the meat buns, and it rendered him full and groaning on the ground. The memories filled your mind, calming your racing heart. It had cemented itself as your favourite memory. Aran physically stopping the twins from arguing who could catch the most goldfish; Kita coming in a navy yukata with his grandmother; Suna kissing you when the fireworks filled the sky. The images played themselves in your mind like a slideshow, lulling you to sleep.
The next morning followed without major incident. You woke up earlier than usual to see Suna had sent you at least eight different TikToks. Something that he did often. You had texted him to say you were going to school early, not that you expected a response. You ended up forgetting your headphones and it rendered your walk to school monotonous.
“Good morning” you turned to see Kita and Aran smile gently at you. You had never interacted much with the two third years, but they were always kind to you, whether it be thanking you for coming to their games or reassuring you that they’d take care of Suna during training camps.
“You’re up early” Aran noted “did Suna keep you up? He keeps sending TikToks in the volleyball group chat at like, three am.”
“He’ll need to stop that soon. He needs all the rest he can get before Nationals.” Kita added. You smiled at their concern, but it faltered as you thought about the wall between you and your boyfriend.
“Is… Is he okay?” You asked, “he seems distracted these days.”
“He seems normal to me” Aran said, shrugging. Kita took time to consider his answer, but he didn’t have anything to add, which only made you sigh.
“Never mind” you said hurriedly, shaking your head “I’m sure he’s just occupied with Nationals.”  It seemed stupid suddenly, but your heart still ached at the lack of an answer.
“Suna is talented” Kita said after a pause “and when he applies himself, he shines but he’s also lazy. He lacks the discipline to keep himself motivated when things become too comfortable.”
“What should I do?” You asked, cringing at the way desperation snuck itself into your tone.
“Tell him how you feel” Aran said, “he’s sure to listen.”
You shook your head “that’s the problem. He’s not listening.”
Aran scoffed “I can talk to him if you like. He’ll listen to me.”
“No” you sighed “it’s my problem, I should deal with it.”
“Be direct with him” Kita said, “confront him with his behaviour.” You thanked them for their help, leaving them to go sit in the courtyard. Your book was open, but you weren’t reading it. You mulled over the advice you were given instead. Of course, it would be best to just say it plainly, but the thought made you recoil. You were never one for confrontation. You didn’t have Kita’s ability to be cold and logical; nor Aran’s willingness to start difficult conversations. You tried to picture yourself challenging Suna but whenever you looked up at him, you’d register his height and his pretty eyes, and your brain would glitch for a full two seconds. How he still managed to have that effect on you was nothing short of witchcraft.
You ended up closing your book and abandoning the chance to read and instead wander aimlessly through campus. It was a stupid way to kill time, but you couldn’t sit still anymore. The sound of sneakers scuffling distracted you, leading you to the gym where the basketball team were practising.
“Those sneaky bastards” you heard, prompting you to look to your right where an angry Atsumu stood with his hands on his hips.
“They know Thursday is our day.”
“Atsumu” his brother said in between bites of onigiri “today is Friday.”
“Oh.” Atsumu raked a hand through his blonde hair, hiding his obvious embarrassed flush “don’t say anythin’ ‘Samu, I don’t wanna hear it.”
“Eh? I’m jus’ tryin’ to eat” Osamu mumbled, mouth full of rice. He noticed you looking at him and raised a hand in greeting.
“Is Suna ‘ere too?” Osamu asked, making Atsumu look away from the basketball team and at you instead.
You shook your head “no, I got here early. Um…” You hesitated, unsure whether or not you should ask “about Rintaro… How do I...” you struggled to describe the situation “how do I get him to pay attention to me?”
“Aren’t you his girl?” Atsumu asked, cocking his head to the side.
“Idiot. She means he’s bein’ negligent.”
“Don’t call me an idiot, yer the one who forgot to buy milk yesterday!”
“You forgot too!” “Quiet dumbass, we’re s’pposed to be helpin” Osamu snapped, looking back at you.
“Oh yea” Atsumu laughed, the fight already forgotten in his mind “hmmm… Suna likes lace.” You blinked at him and Osamu smacked the back of his head.
“Ignore him. Bake him somethin’. Or go out an’ eat. Or-“
“Not everyone thinks with their stomachs” Atsumu retaliated, smacking his brother on the back of the head too. They started to squabble again, and you watched, wondering whether you should walk away or film them.
“This has to be a new record” you felt yourself flinch at the sound of Suna’s voice “it’s not even nine.”
“Rin“ you murmured his name as his lips ghosted your temple, you felt the words in your throat but before you could even form the letters on your lips, he had whipped out his phone to film the twins. They were on the floor at this point, and you sighed, watching your boyfriend kneel down to get a better shot. You turn to go to class, in dismay about what to do.
You had to push yourself to focus on class that day, conscious of the fact that Suna was sitting at the opposite side of the classroom, towards the back, making it too hard to turn and look at him subtly. You were driving yourself crazy thinking about it. When it came to your turn to read aloud in class, you were uncharacteristically shaky and even the teacher seemed concerned. She asked you quietly before lunch if you were feeling okay, and you flushed and quickly reassured her that you were fine.
Your friends however were not so easily duped. You sat on the roof of the school with them, dodging questions and shrugging when they asked.
“Is it Suna?” Misa asked, frowning “is he treating you right?”
“He’s not treating me wrong” you mumbled, stirring your chopsticks into the cold udon.
“I knew it. I’m going to beat him up after class” Misa said, aggressively stabbing her omelette, making Ami pinch the skin between her eyebrows.
“I don’t think you need to go that far” Ami said, turning to you “you know you can tell us anything.”
Your heart warmed “Rintaro is just… I feel like I’m boring him.”
Misa made a sound of disagreement “his personality is being hot and sending memes. You’re way better.” It was funny to hear her speak like that considering how much fangirling she did when you two started dating.
“He’s always been withdrawn” Ami said, “even in elementary school and middle school he was disinterested.” Ami had been surprised when you and Suna became an item; she had known him since first grade and always knew him to be reserved.
You sighed, closing your eyes to concentrate on the slight breeze and the warmth of the sunlight. No one seemed to be offering the same opinions except that Suna was just like that, and you should’ve known better. It made you upset that everyone thought so little of him.
“He’s a good boyfriend” you insisted lamely “he’s thoughtful and considerate and I like him a lot.”
“He doesn’t sound like it” Misa scoffed, earning a sharp nudge from Ami.
“Well, he is” you snapped, immediately feeling guilty “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be like that.” To your surprise Misa laughed.
“Maybe you ought to be more like that” she said, eating another bite thoughtfully “you’re never aggressive or argumentative. Maybe you should raise some hell.”
“Yeah, that sounds mature” Ami said, pushing up her glasses “but maybe being a little more assertive would be beneficial.”
The mix of opinions and advice stayed with you that afternoon. Perhaps you should insist more. You knew Suna had practise that afternoon, and though you’d usually insist on waiting for him, you decided to leave instead and figure out what you needed to do. Tomorrow, he had promised that you two could hang out. It would probably just be watching a movie in his room, or at the very most, going out for pizza. Your fist clenched. You knew what you had to do.
As you predicted, Suna asked you over to watch a really bad movie he had found online that promised bad CGI aliens and not a trace of coherent storytelling. You entered his room, taking care to keep your composure as he accepted the Tupperware box of cookies you baked for the occasion.
“Chocolate chip” he hummed “don’t tell Kita that I’m indulging like this.”
“I’m not making any promises” you said, earning a raised eyebrow from him in response but he said nothing. You bit the inside of your cheek, hesitating before shrugging off your jacket and sitting next to him on his bed. He played the movie on his laptop, putting one arm around you casually.
“You feel stiff” he commented, and you relaxed your muscles, telling yourself to calm down.
“I’m just really tense about these aliens” you said, nodding at the screen where a squadron of lanky green creatures discussed their plan to blow up the Earth. Out the corner of your eye you saw him smile and held your breath when he pressed his cheek against the top of your head. Already your resolve was melting. Maybe you had been exaggerating his lack of attention? Maybe he had snapped out of it? You snuggled into his chest, feeling happier already.
Then he reached for his phone.
You snuck a glance up at him, wanting to gauge how distracted he was. His face was impassive as his thumb scrolled down his twitter feed. He stopped to read something before continuing.
“Rin” you said softly. He did nothing. “Rintaro.” Nothing again. You nudged your foot down onto the spacebar of his laptop to pause the film. He didn’t notice. You bit your lip. It was now or never.
“Suna Rintaro” you said in a clipped tone, swinging your leg over so you were straddling him. He dropped his phone and it bounced off the bed and onto the floor.
“What… What are you doing?” You grasped his chin, bringing it up so that he had no choice but to look at you.
“Pay attention to me” you said with a frown “you’re always on your phone when we’re together and you act like I’m not even here.” You felt yourself swallow nervously and your face flush with heat, but you pushed yourself to keep it up.
“Am I boring you?”
He blinked at you “no.”
Unsatisfied you clicked your tongue “do you still like me?”
“Yes.”
“Then why don’t you look at me instead? Or respond when I call you? It’s not nice of you.” He opened his mouth and then closed it again, considering his words.
“I’m sorry, angel” he said, using the pet name that he only brought out on rare occasions “I didn’t mean to ignore you. You’re right it wasn’t fair of me. Can you forgive me?” You could feel your heart hammer in your chest as he glanced up at you, loosening your grip on his chin with his hand and then pressing a kiss to it. His expression was so tender; something you’d seldom see unless you were in the midst of passion.
You pressed your lips together for a moment and said “no.”
“No?” He repeated, furrowing his brow in confusion.
“No” you said firmer, fisting the material of his t-shirt. Your knuckles brushed against the milky white of his skin.
“Your actions have consequences, Rintaro” you said, “I will not be ignored.”
“Oh?” he murmured, his hands lingered on the backs of your thighs and inched their way up your skirt.
“R-Rin” you struggled to maintain your demeanour “I’m serious.”
“I know but you’re so cute when you’re serious” he cooed, squeezing your flesh and smiling when you bit your lip “hmm these feel different.” He let go of your ass and brought his hands around to the front of your skirt, lifting it and whistling at your new purchase.
“They’re a new set” you mumbled.
“Pretty” his eyes darkened as he took in the vision of you in black lace “is this why Atsumu was talking about lace?”
You spluttered “w-what? How do you know about that?” He shrugged playfully, letting your skirt fall back down in exchange for undoing the buttons of your blouse.
“Everyone knows Atsumu can’t keep a secret” he hummed in pleasure at the sight of the matching bra “all this for me?”
“I have to get your attention somehow” you muttered, looking away from him.
“Angel” he called “I am sorry about that. Let me make it up to you.” He leaned forward to press a kiss onto your sternum. He continued to pepper your heated skin with kisses to get you to look at him again.
You sighed “you’re hard to be mad at.”
He smiled triumphantly “does that mean I’m forgiven?”
“No.”
“You’re a tough cookie” he said, “I guess I’ll have to try harder.” One arm curled around your waist, pushing you closer to him so he was able to capture your lips. He smiled when he elicited a soft gasp from you as his free hand gripped your thigh. He kneaded the flesh, making you tremble in anticipation as his lips continued to kiss your own. He hissed when you bit down on his bottom lip, making you feel bolder. You kissed down the column of his neck, pulling his shirt and prompting him to take it off. Before the shirt could hit the ground you latched your mouth onto his shoulder, biting down onto his skin and making him curse under his breath. You pulled away to lick the tender skin, leaning back to survey your work.
“You are being punished for your crimes” you said, “bad Rintaro.” You crawled off him, shutting his laptop gently and placing it on the ground. You expected him to wait; after all, your streak of confidence had rendered him speechless. You forgot however, that just as he was on the court, he adapted easily to new situations. He grabbed you from behind, making you squeak in surprise at how swift he was. His arms were wrapped tightly around you, preventing you from moving despite your struggles. His chin rested on your shoulder and you could hear his breath on the shell of your ear.
“Just when I think I have you all figured out, you throw something like that on me.” He licked a stripe up the pillar of your neck, chuckling when you shuddered in pleasure. To be honest, even you were surprised by his actions. Usually sex was a soft experience, with him being gentle and slow as he coaxed orgasms out of you. This time he was rougher; no longer wanting to be lazy and indulgent.
“Rin” you whined when he began kissing the spot near the base of your neck that he knew made you weak “you’re meant to be facing punishment for your behaviour.”
“Aw, am I still not forgiven yet?” he nuzzled into your neck “hmmm I suppose I deserve it. How could I neglect my angel like that?” He loosened his grip on you, letting you wiggle out of his grasp. You turned, feeling a heady mixture of intoxicated by his presence and nervous as you tried to anticipate what to do next. A certain idea had been playing on your mind for a while, but you lacked the conviction to undertake it. You pressed your lips against him hard instead, wanting to build up a little more courage. He was more than happy to accommodate, kissing you back with equal vigour.
“Fuck” he mumbled under his breath when you kissed his jaw, allowing your hand to traverse down to the planes of his stomach. You stroked his skin softly, enjoying the soft trail of hair that led you down to the waistband of his sweats. His breath hitched, and you felt empowered by your ability to make his brain glitch. You leaned back, biting your lip as you palmed the outline of his dick. His eyes fluttered shut, and he began breathing harder when you shed the layers of fabric and touched him. You stroked up and down his shaft a few times, wetting your lips as you watched him groan softly. You swallowed your nerves and leaned your head down to kitten lick the head of his dick.
“Is this okay?” you gazed up at him through your lashes as you continued to lavish your tongue over his flesh. This was a first for you.
“Y-you. Uh, yes but you don’t ha- fuck” he struggled to say anything coherent when you took him in your mouth. His hand petted your hair at first, encouraging you to continue, and you experimentally took more of him into your mouth. The sensation was foreign, and you felt your throat protest against the invasion.
“Don’t push yourself, angel” Rin panted, and you pulled back a bit, using your hand to help where your mouth struggled to reach. You tussled at first to find a comfortable rhythm, but Suna’s soft, sinful sounds pushed you to try. You let him poke into the flesh of the inside of your cheek, trying to find what would feel best for him.
“Good girl” he mumbled, holding your hair like a makeshift ponytail. The words immediately made a rush of heated lust swell inside of you, increasing your speed. Suna’s words began to sound less intelligible as you continued, and you were surprised that his thighs were beginning to quake. You pulled away, watching him whine from the loss of your warm, wet mouth. It ached a little, you realised, touching your jaw lightly.
“You’re such a fuckin tease” Rin huffed, and you couldn’t help but laugh at his pouty face.
“You brought this on yourself” you said, sticking out your tongue “but I think you’ve learnt your lesson now.”
“Finally,” he groaned, pushing you down so your back was flat against the mattress. He positioned himself so he was pressing against you “now let me pay some attention to you.”

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Part 2 - Balthier, Ashe and Vayne + Overall Review
Tumblr media
I am surprised at the assassination of Emperor Gramis, and I’m not sure what to think of it. I wouldn’t discount Vayne from being capable of killing his father, since really, killing him presents more pros than cons, especially considering his old age and his alignment with peace (like Larsa) rather than war and military might (that Vayne grew up with and believes in). In addition, with the greedy Senate constantly trying to put Larsa as a puppet on the throne, Vayne needs to solidify his rule if he wants to protect Larsa and the Empire imo. Tbh, with how Vayne seems to be, I feel like he wants to do all the dirty work and then have Larsa get to live peacefully or something. On the other hand, Gabranth seems rather loyal to Gramis, since he was giving him updates on Vayne. He also seems to be aligned with Larsa, it was kinda hard to watch him have to kill the other lady Judge that was on his side to prove his fealty to Vayne though.
Tumblr media
Who would have thought that Balthier was once upon a time a judge for a brief time? And to think that his father is the Cid guy at Draklor lab obsessed with nethicite. I think it must have been pretty disheartening to see his father like that and even have to make the choice to run away instead of staying with him. I think I can kinda understand better why Balthier chose to continue to go on this journey with everyone. He’s been running away from everything all this time, he probably thinks that it’s about time he faced it all, especially when despite all his efforts to escape from his father etc, in the end he gets roped up with Ashe and them anyway. It was nice of Balthier to tell Ashe his story hoping that she wouldn’t follow in the footsteps of his father, and be obsessed with the powers of a stone to rule Dalmasca. Cid seems pretty interesting! Not only does he have Venat (one of the Occurians, a heretic though) beside him, but I thought his plan to lead the party to Giruvegan to get the nethicite/treaty sword was smart. Well, the party don’t really have a choice either way though even if it’s a trap, since they do need the power, and only Ashe could have been chosen by the Occurians to wield it (due to her having the Dynast-King’s blood). I have to say though, Giruvegan was an annoying place lmao, I honestly didn’t remember anything much about FFXII, but I definitely remember summoning Belias to get through, and I probably got lost the first time as well, because dang were those areas a hassle to get through lol. But seriously, you can tell with how the Occuria acted with Ashe that they see humans as beneath them, and they just want to use Ashe to destroy the Empire because they’re trying to forge a future without their “guidance”. Yay, I always love guests so it’s nice to have Reddas join the party to venture to the Sun-Cryst. It’s kinda interesting how big of a decision Ashe will have to make when she gets there though. Will she choose to destroy it and all the nethicite or will she choose to break a piece off of it to make nethicite strong enough to fight against the Dawn Shard etc? It’s kinda nice but also saddening that Balthier is leaving the Strahl (his airship) to Vaan if anything were to happen to him…
Tumblr media
I thought it was pretty cool to see how so many people around Ashe were trying to influence her decision, especially with the appearance of Gabranth revealing why Reddas decided to come here with them; it’s because he was also an ex-Judge, and he used the Midlight Shard once upon a time and destroyed Nabudis. It was because of that, he wanted Ashe to not repeat his mistake. Cid is certainly pretty out of his mind due to his research and will to experiment, it’s kinda saddening that Balthier and the others had to kill him in order to stop him. At the same time though, I feel like for Cid, he feels sane whilst insane? Haha. Is this the first time a Cid in the FF games has been evil though? How interesting~ Didn’t think the Sun-Cryst would go crazy like that though, it was disheartening to watch Reddas sacrifice his life to break it using the sword, never really realised that anyone could wield the sword to break it though, I thought it had to be Ashe lol. Either way, a difficult end, but something that one of them had to do. To think that the Sun-Cryst awakened Bahamut though! That is something to look forward to. Terrible that the impending war is now practically happening now though, and Dalmasca will be the battleground. Larsa’s heart is in the right place, but Vayne is right, if Larsa wants to show and prove that Vayne’s methods are wrong, he needs to muster the power to show him that his way is right then. Vayne is ruthless but that’s how he’s survived all this time and protected Larsa. It’s not easy when he has to put his guard up against most of the people around him. It was pretty brutal when Vayne shot that laser and destroyed a few of the Marquis’ ships, the Marquis honestly really doesn’t have much of a choice but to rely on Ashe and party to stop Vayne from inside the Bahamut tbh. I guess it’s good that Larsa is helping them out lol.
Tumblr media
Well that last bit leading to the ending wasn’t long at all! Legit just defeat Gabranth and then killed three forms of Vayne and you’re done! Anyway, I’m not sure how I feel about the ending because it felt kind of rushed. But I guess I didn’t mind it either. I really liked how loyal Gabranth was to Larsa, so it was kinda saddening to see him die, but I think it was great to see Basch fulfill his dying wish by succeeding him as a judge and thus supporting Larsa’s rule. I think it’s really interesting how they truly are twins in the sense that even though they were on different sides, their loyalty to their liege was very similar throughout the game. Honestly though, it’s hard to think of Vayne as an “evil” person, like yes, he’s done terrible things that has caused people to die, I don’t doubt that, but I think you can really understand his motivations? He’s always been protective of Larsa, so a lot of my impressions of what Vayne did kinda felt like he set up everything that came to be through his regime of violence was so that he could give the best setting for Larsa’s idea of peaceful negotiations between countries to come to be. With the state of the Empire as it was when Gramis was alive or even when he died etc, it was obvious that Larsa didn’t have the power and influence to achieve what he wanted, but through Vayne’s actions, people were able to see the contrast between them. Also, Vayne needed to ensure that the Occuria who still think they have the right to interfere and rule over humans had no more power in doing that, in order to ensure that Larsa in the future wouldn’t have to encounter such problems. Destroying the Sun-Cryst fulfilled that and I’m happy they were able to free humanity even if their methods were questionable. I think Vayne underestimated Larsa’s strength and conviction though, but I think he’d be happy if he was wrong about that imo.
Tumblr media
Anyway! Seeing Balthier the leading man protect Dalmasca by directing the falling Bahamut elsewhere with Fran was awesome! I knew he wouldn’t die, but I found it hilarious how later on, he just randomly took his Strahl back from Vaan and Penelo who were maintaining it hahaha. I also found Penelo’s new look really cute! Much better than her old look haha. It would be nice to see it as a costume in DFFOO! I find Ashe’s ending rather lonesome and saddening? She did everything to reclaim her throne and her people, and yet in the end, she loses the people she journeyed with to become Queen. I guess it’s normal though, and I guess like Penelo, I do hope that Basch can one day go back to be beside her. It’s nice to see that Vaan and Penelo get to be like Balthier and Fran, and travel together as sky pirates haha. I wish we actually got to see Balthier and Fran again though. Oh well.
Overall, honestly FFXII kinda renders the same feelings I did when I first played it, maybe it’s a bit more positive this time though! Like, really, I did enjoy the story but I definitely found the characters and their development lacking, mainly everyone aside from Balthier, Vayne and maybe Ashe, but then Ashe only really drives the story and doesn’t really thrive as a character so hmm. I feel like they could have added more scenes to really develop the others because I felt that I was just following along for the story, but didn’t really care for the characters. I still really liked Balthier’s personality and his background though and I find that the highlight of FFXII, especially when he interacted with Ashe and kinda told her about his past. But yeah, there were a lot of scenes I liked and I did enjoy it overall, but I’m not a fan of the gameplay either, so I kinda gave up on the side missions hahaha. I honestly took so long to finish the game because I just couldn’t get into it lol. BUT, I love how customisable the gambits are omg! It’s so crazy how much time I put into experimenting with them haha, but despite that, I found the gameplay rather tedious so I just went through the story. And yes, the story is really short imo, it felt like it would have been a great movie instead haha. Also yes, if FFVII Remake had even a tiny bit of these gambits, I think I would have cried in frustration less lmao. Anywho! Nice story, execution kinda choppy and short but still good, gameplay average, and characters just a means to an end. 7/10 imo haha.

WandaVision: What Big Marvel Cameos Could Happen?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains spoilers for WandaVision and the broader MCU.
During a recent interview, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen teased that we’re about to see a Mandalorian-level cameo happen in the Marvel series. Without fully spoiling the cameo she was referencing, it was a fan favorite from the Star Wars franchise who emerged in Mando’s Season 2 finale.
WandaVision featuring some notable guest stars hasn’t been a massive secret up until now, and a report that arrived way, way ahead of the premiere suggested that Evan Peters was about to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it wasn’t known if the actor would play the X-Men version of Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver or not in the Disney+ show.
Olsen’s WandaVision co-star Paul Bettany built yet more hype around one particular addition to the series – possibly someone different to who Olsen was thinking of – and it didn’t really seem like he was talking about Peters.
“I work with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think people are going to be really excited,” Bettany told the Lights Camera Barstool podcast. “I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense.”
Bettany also acknowledged some surprises from WandaVision had already leaked, but that the series was building up to a massive finale. “There were more special effects requirements for our TV show than there were for Endgame.”
WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer wasn’t keen to reveal who either Bettany or Olsen were referring to, but confirmed to TVLine that “there are so many surprises left in store” and that fans should settle in “because there’s more coming.”
Let’s have a look at some big potential cameos that could happen in WandaVision’s second half. Judging by Bettany and Olsen’s comments, they could be brand-new to the MCU or returning stars.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver
Though Evan Peters’ inclusion in WandaVision is practically a dead cert at this stage, the opportunity to bring Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s MCU version of Pietro Maximoff back for a cameo in the series could result in a much deeper connection to Wanda herself. The seeds of a potential Pietro return were sown in episode 3 of the Marvel spinoff series when Monica Rambeau – posing as ‘Geraldine’ – accidentally jolted Wanda out of her sitcom daze and back to reality by mentioning that her twin brother had previously been killed by Tony Stark’s villainous murder-bot, Ultron.
Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
We’ve been told that the events of WandaVision and Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are directly connected, so the most reasonable assumption when it comes to a big upcoming cameo is that Stephen Strange will arrive at some point to tackle the mystical wildness going on in Westview.
But since there’s been chatter about Cumberbatch appearing in the show for some time, Strange being part of the proceedings wouldn’t be either a massive surprise or a particularly thrilling reveal at the end of the day, would it?
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Logan was confirmed to be Hugh Jackman’s swansong as his iconic X-Men character, but how hard would Marvel Studios have to push to get him back in action as Wolverine in the MCU? Kevin Feige hasn’t really shown any signs of tackling the X-Men again just yet, nor in fact mutants in general as part of the MCU’s reality, so Jackman reprising his role here would be firmly placed in the “unlikely” column.
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool
Could Ryan Reynolds make a tongue-in-cheek cameo as Deadpool? It does seem like a longshot. The meta setup of WandaVision is arguably the perfect place for Wade Wilson’s antihero to pop up and deliver a few fourth wall-breaking lines to camera, but the chances of Deadpool appearing so far in advance of his own MCU sequel feel fairly slim. Still, we’d love to see the Merc with a Mouth take stock of these strange sitcom scenes – where would he even start?
Michael Fassbender/ Ian McKellen as Magneto
For quite a while in Marvel Comics, Wanda Maximoff was thought to be the daughter of on-off X-Men villain Magneto, played by both Michael Fassbender and Sir Ian McKellen in Fox’s movie franchise. Wanda’s backstory has since been retconned, but there’s a sly joke about Evan Peters’ Pietro Maximoff being Erik’s son in the X-Men films. Could they re(re)retcon Scarlet Witch’s origins to bring back Magneto in WandaVision?
Er, we can likely put this on the Probably Not pile.
Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius
Kaecilius bid the world an unhappy farewell during the climax of Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange solo movie. The former Master of the Mystic Arts accidentally got his wish granted to live out the rest of eternity as part of Dormammu’s non-stop torment party in the Dark Dimension thanks to Doctor Strange’s time loop shenanigans, but fans of the actor who played the villain – Mads Mikkelsen – thought that dispatching him so early on in Strange’s evolution was a bit of a mistake. After all, why have just one injection of beloved Hannibal star Mikkelsen on screen when you can have, well, a lot more than one?
So, could Wanda messing with reality give Kaecilius an opportunity to escape Dormammu’s clutches and finally have his revenge? Hmm.
Patrick Stewart/James McAvoy as Charles Xavier
Much like Magneto, Charles Xavier has ties to Scarlet Witch in the comics, and if Wanda breaks down the walls between realities too far, we could start to see them bleed into each other, paving the way for an X-Men introduction in WandaVision. It’d be delightful to see either of these Professor X actors make a cameo during the show’s final episodes, but much like Magneto it could be quite far-fetched.
Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man
Robert Downey Jr appeared confident that he was completely done playing Iron Man in the MCU when Phase 3 wrapped up in 2019, but there could surely be no bigger surprise cameo in Disney+’s first Marvel spinoff series than an unlikely return by Tony Stark.
The question is, how could Iron Man possibly come back in WandaVision after he sacrificed his life at the end of Avengers: Endgame, and would it conceivably lead to more appearances by Downer Jr down the road?
Speaking of further appearances from someone we thought had left the MCU for good…
Chris Evans as Captain America
Deadline had some surprising news back in January when it published an exclusive report that claimed Chris Evans was in talks to reprise his role as Captain America in the MCU. It was teased that Steve Rogers could return in various future Marvel movies and shows as a sort of mentor for some of the other characters going forward.
It’s arguably way too early for Evans to show his face in WandaVision, and since Olsen and Bettany indicate that their show’s big cameos have yet to leak, Evans being “the one” should be put on the furthest backburner for now.
Keanu Reeves as Take Your Pick
We don’t yet know if WandaVision’s huge cameo will be from an already-established MCU character, though reports likening it to that of The Mandalorian’s season finale showstopper certainly indicate that it could be. This could all be a little sprinkle of distraction from Olsen and co., however, and a way to keep our minds off the introduction of a new villain who will connect the series to Doctor Strange 2.
Mephisto, Grim Reaper and Nightmare could all be nefarious additions to the MCU in Phase 4, and who better to play one of them than everyone’s favorite puppy avenger, Keanu Reeves? Reeves was close to joining the MCU in 2019’s Captain Marvel as Yon-Rogg before Jude Law landed the part. Has the in-demand actor continued to hold out for a meatier villain role?
Tom Cruise as Iron Man
Rumors that Tom Cruise has been desperate to join the MCU have been circulating for what seems like aeons. We doubt the man’s hurting for cash, but he did have designs on the Iron Man role before Downey Jr laid his claim, and there were definitely whisperings around the time of production on WandaVision that Marvel was trying to tempt Cruise aboard as an alternate reality version of Tony Stark for an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Since WandaVision sets up the events of the now-filming sequel, could it be Cruise’s brief appearance that Olsen and Bettany are excited about us seeing? Bettany did describe filming with the actor in question as “intense” and that certainly lines up with the experiences other people working with Cruise have had to date.
Have you thought of any other potential suspects who aren’t listed here? Let us know in the comments.

You, Sam and Dean were in a small office, looking through boxes of files, trying to find the right one. Andy, on the other hand, took care of the guard who was still skeptical.
“I probably shouldn't leave you kids in here by yourselves.” The guard said, hesitation clear in his tone.
“No, it'll all be fine. Alright? Just go get a cup of coffee,” Andy ordered. The guard nodded, going to do as he was told. “These aren't the 'droids you're looking for.”
“Awesome.” Dean grinned as he overheard Andy.
“We should keep him.” You whispered to Dean, obviously joking.
“I got it.” Sam said seriously. He read through the file and you watched him, waiting for some news.
“Andy, it’s true. Holly was your birth mother. Dr. Jennings was her doctor, too. I mean, he oversaw the adoption. You have a solid connection to both of them.” Sam said, not looking up.
“Wow, great way to start off the day.” Andy nodded, letting out a breath.
“Okay, so, you think Weber killed these people?” Dean asked you.
“Wait, Weber? He’s like me?” Andy asked, shocked.
“Okay, I had a little incident with him. I got this bad feeling and I knew something wasn’t right. Then, when you confronted us in that parking lot, I thought you were Weber. You two look so much alike.” You said, looking at Andy.
“Wait, guys, it says here Holly gave birth to twins.”
“Oh, so not only does my birth mother die before I met her, I have an evil twin. That’s just great.” Andy said, shocked as hell.
“I’m sorry, Andy, I can’t imagine how you must be feeling.” You said, sitting next to him.
“Holly put you and your brother up for adoption and you went to the Gallagher family, obviously, and your brother went to the Weems family from upstate.” Sam said, still reading from the file.
“Andy, how you doing? Still with us?” Dean asked and Andy nodded slightly.
“Yeah, we need to find Weber. I can’t believe he’s doing this. I mean, I’ve known this guy for a while, right? Maybe eight months and he’s acting like I’m his best friend in the world. He was weird but I never thought he would be my brother, let alone do this kind of thing. Why is he doing this to me?” Andy said, cradling his head in his hands.
“Andy, we will find him, okay? He won’t get away with this,” You said, looking at Sam. “Does Weber have an address in there?”
“Yeah, I have it.” Sam said, getting a piece of paper and writing it down.
“Good, let’s pay him a visit, shall we?” Dean smirked a bit.
“Yeah, and maybe next time, you’ll listen to me.” You said, following them out of the office.
“Alright, Andy. Tell us everything you know about this guy.” Sam asked. Dean was driving down a dark road with you and Andy in the backseat.
“Like I said earlier, he comes in eight months ago and he came on a little strong for my taste.”
“He must have known you guys were twins. Why did he change his name? Why not just tell you the truth?” Dean said.
“No idea.” Andy shrugged. Just then, Sam cried out in pain and he held his head, cringing inward.
“Sam?” You said, very concerned for him. He must be getting another vision. Sam yelled in panic and struggled to open the door of the Impala. Dean immediately slowed down and brought her to a stop so Sam could get out.
“Sam! Sam!” Dean said, parking the car and getting out so he could help his brother. Poor Andy had no idea what was going on.
“Sam, look at me.” Dean said, shaking his brother’s shoulders but nothing seemed to be working.
“What’s happening?” Andy asked you.
“His visions. They get more painful the more he has them. I feel so bad for him.” You said, grimacing at Sam’s cries of pain.
“Sam, what did you see?” Dean asked when Sam finally calmed down.
“Tracy, the waitress. She jumps off a bridge or a cliff. Weber is going to kill her next.” Sam said, panting.
“Tracy? No, we have to stop him.” Andy said, panicking. You looked at him, understanding that he loved this girl just by the sound of his voice.
“Alright, Sam, you okay?” Dean asked, making sure his brother was okay.
“Yeah, let’s just go save Tracy before it’s too late.” Sam said, getting back into the car. That was all Dean needed and he was zooming down the road in the next moment. Dean turned off the headlights, slowing the car down until she stopped. You, along with the three other men, got out and walked to the trunk.
“Dean, you should stay back.” Sam said, breaking the silence.
“No argument here. I had my head screwed with enough for one day.” Dean said, opening the trunk for Sam. Sam pulled out two handguns and handed one to you which you gratefully took.
“You sure you want to do this?” Dean asked you.
“Dean, he can’t mess with me. I would hate it if you got hurt. Sam and I will be fine.” You reassured him, kissing his cheek.
“I’m coming with you.” Andy said from behind you three.
“Andy, no.” Sam started to object.
“If it's Tracy out there, then I’m coming.” Andy said, leaving no room for argument. You looked at Dean and nodded before following Sam and Andy to Weber’s car which wasn’t far away. When you got close enough, Sam was the one to shatter the driver’s side window, shoving a gun in Weber’s face.
“Get out of the car! Now!” Sam yelled.
“You really don't want to do this.” Weber said in that demonic voice. Like you mentioned a couple of times, that didn’t work on you. Sam backhanded him, hard, which only made Weber angrier. You watched as Andy opened the passenger’s side door and helped Tracy out, trying to get her to safety.
Sam opened the car door and pulled Weber out, throwing him to the ground, face first. You pointed your gun at him, waiting for Sam’s instructions.
“Don't move. Don't move!” Sam ordered. Andy glared at Weber and took some duct tape, which you had no idea where that came from, walked over to Weber and put a strip of it over his mouth. Then he kicked his twin twice before Sam pulled him back.
“No! No, Andy, let us handle this, alright?” Sam said, looking at him.
“I’m going to kill you!” Andy screamed at his brother.
“Andy! Listen to me! Listen to me!” Sam said, trying to get Andy to calm down. You noticed Weber eerily still as he stared at Tracy. You wished you would have known how strong Weber was before you got hurt.
Tracy held up a thick stick and whacked Sam in the back of the head, rendering him unconscious. She hit you next but you moved just in time for her to graze you. It still hurt like a bitch but at least you’re still up. Weber stood up and pulled the duct tape off his mouth.
“Tracy, stop! I said STOP IT!” He yelled, frightening her even more. She dropped the stick, listening to the better brother.
“How did you do that?” Andy asked his brother. You cursed and held the back of your head, too busy focusing on the pain rather than the brothers.
“Practice, bro. If you'd just practice, you would know. Sometimes you don't need to use your words. If you have to, all you need is this. Sometimes the headache's worth it.” Weber grinned, tapping his forehead to prove his point.
“You're a twisted son of a bitch!” Andy yelled, grabbing his brother’s collar roughly.
“Back off, Andy. Or Tracy's gonna do a little flying.” Weber smirked, looking over at Tracy to see her already on the ledge of the bridge, crying.
“Okay, okay,” Andy said, letting go of Weber and backing up with his hands in the air. “Okay. Alright, just... just please don't hurt her.”
“Don't be mad at me, okay? I know it’s all wrong. I didn't mean for this to happen, it's just... Tracy? She's trying to come between us.” Weber tried to explain his horrible actions away. Your head was feeling a little bit better and you took a step towards Weber but he glared at you.
“Come any closer and she falls.” You stopped, not wanting to be the reason a woman died. You clenched your jaw and watched, having no choice but to stand still.
“You're insane.” Andy said, glaring at him.
“She's garbage! Man, they all are! We can push them and we can make them do whatever we want!” Weber said, focusing on his brother again.
“Are you really this stupid? I mean, when you find out you have a twin, you invite them out for a drink. You don’t kill people!” You looked around and saw Sam starting to come to and you bit your lip. You had no idea what to do… Wait, where was Dean?
“I've wanted to tell you for so long, bro. But he didn't let me. He said I had to wait until the time was right.”
“Who?”
“The man with the yellow eyes.” Your eyes widened and you looked at Weber who stopped paying attention to you. Was the demon here?
“What are you talking about?” Andy asked, frustrated. You looked over at Tracy who seems to be waiting on instructions. She was just crying and standing on the ledge.
“He came to me in my dream. He said I was special. He told me he's got big plans for me. Wait 'till you see what's in store, Andy, for both of us! See, he's the one who told me that I had a brother. A twin.”
“Why did you kill our mother? Why kill Dr. Jennings?” Andy asked. You were just as confused as he was.
“Because they split us up! They ruined our lives, Andy! We could have been together this whole time instead of alone. I couldn't let them get away with that.” Weber said, getting angry. You heard a noise come from the woods and turned to see the top of dirty blonde hair. Dean.
“I see you. Bye-bye.” Weber said in his demonic voice. Your eyes widened and all you could think about was Dean.
“No!” You broke out into a run, going to Dean before something bad happened to him. You heard a gunshot go off and you got tears, running faster. No, Dean can’t be dead. You rushed into the woods and saw his body lying on the ground. You let your tears fall but when he groaned and turned over, you got on your knees.
“Are you okay? I saw that blow.” Dean said, sitting up. You pulled him into a hug and for a moment, forgot about who died.
“I thought you died.” You let out a shaky breath.
“It will take a lot more than that to kill me.” Dean chuckled, putting a hand to your back.
“Wait, who died?” You peeked out and saw Weber on the floor and Andy with a gun in his hand. You hoped for no more people to die but you guess Andy had enough.
