So next hq series will probably not be a smau OR it’ll be a smau with heavy writing parts
It’s Suna x Reader and Sakusa x Reader (a love triangle). It does not have a name yet oop
Basically here is the synopsis (I am officially doing this next bc I’m super excited about it):
You are the manager for Itachiyama’s high school boys’ volleyball team. During summer break, you hold a training camp and allow some players from other schools to join. Enter Suna (and some other familiar faces?) enter love triangle
Notes:
• the itachiyama boys are VERY possessive over their manager
• you hate inarizaki because of their stupid band that they bothered you all with at last years’ competition
• a lot of the trainee boys from other schools try to hook up with you, but the second they see a Sakusa in their way they run for the hills
N e ways this won’t be coming out until how to make a guy fall in love in ten days is over, but like, I just kinda wanted to put this out there ? I’ve been thinking up some scenes and I really am loving the dynamic. It is HS boys so it’ll be much more mild with no inappropriate themes. I’m super excited overall
It will have a taglist and if y’all are that invested I can start it now, just send in a request for it LMAO but if not that’s chill too I just wanted to mention it :)

...
Synopsis: HS!AU - Barry, Joe and Iris go camping the year Barry hits puberty.
...
Chapter 2 -
Barry had never been as still in all his life as he was right now, with Iris’ head on his shoulder and the back of her hand against his knee, and him hardly daring to breathe if she moved either any further.
The fact was, it was happening again. He was getting a boner.
He’d been getting them the last few weeks – not just around Iris, around other girls too, and at super inconvenient times, but especially when Iris was present. He’d taken to wearing extra-long t-shirts and baggy pants until Iris took note and questioned his fashion. Then she’d tried to take him shopping, and he absolutely put his foot down to that. He’d never be able to hide it then.
How Joe hadn’t caught on to his increasing anxiety over this new dilemma never ceased to exasperate him. How could he not know?
Or maybe he did know, and he just wasn’t saying anything.
Nah, Joe wouldn’t be that cruel, Barry thought confidently.
But his inward grin started to fade as his self-assurance wavered, and he grew wary of Joe’s true intentions.
“Hey, you two ready to get something to eat?” Joe asked, loud enough to rouse Iris from her sleep, but not too loud that she would complain about it.
“Mm, yes,” she said, nuzzling into Barry’s shoulder and wrapping her arms around his beside her. “Pancakes, please.”
Joe shifted his gaze to Barry’s extremely pale one in the rearview mirror.
“What about you, Bear?”
“I’m good,” he said, appetite gone, though his stomach would probably say otherwise.
“You like pancakes too, remember?” Iris mumbled against his shirt.
“Oh. That’s…you’re right, Iris. I do like pancakes.”
“Blueberry ones,” she reminded him.
“Mhmm, blueberry ones,” he said, more to get her to stop talking than because he remembered.
Meanwhile, Joe was still eyeing him suspiciously in the mirror.
“So… Mama Bear’s Diner?”
“Yessss,” Iris slurred.
“Sounds good,” Barry forced.
Joe stared a few moments more and then focused back on the road.
“We should be there in roughly twenty minutes.”
Mama Bear’s Breakfast Diner served only breakfast all day, every day. But it was tradition to stop there on the way to and from the campsite every year, no matter what time of day it was. No one refused. Barry would die for their pancakes, Joe would do just about anything for their scrambled eggs, and Iris was a glutton for the French toast and muffins.
From the outside, the diner looked like a normal house, but on the inside, it was a log cabin of the coziest sort. There were always tulips planted and a slightly moving white rocking chair on the white-painted porch by entrance. Which was kind of creepy now that Barry thought about it. He wondered if he should tell Iris about that observation. He turned to see her a few steps behind him, swinging her arms in an effort to let momentum catch up with him. Joe was behind her, apparently oblivious to all things. Barry wished he wasn’t.
“Hold up, Barry! You’re going too fast!”
Since she was out of breath, Barry slowed down a hair and, as expected, Iris was then not only able to match his pace but also loop her arm through his the way she had in the car.
She was so darn affectionate. And he loved that about her. But he hated this puberty thing, because now every little thing she did – a look, a touch – if it was directed at him, the normally dormant length of flesh in his underwear came to life. Somehow, Iris hadn’t noticed that fact yet, but it was only a matter of time until she did. Every moment he was preparing himself for the utter humiliation.
Three steps up to the peeling white-painted porch and they were inside.
It was the perfect temperature, as it tended to be, with air conditioning circling and spreading through the restaurant, even as the real fireplace warmed the far side of the restaurant. A small area was bare of table and chairs for the live music that came on Friday nights, and every single member had a red-and-white checkered shirt on that reminded Barry of a picnic tablecloth.
He liked it, though. He liked this place. And Iris, of course, was right. He was practically salivating already at the thought of consuming a couple stacks of their blueberry pancakes with whipped cream.
“I love it here.” Iris sighed dreamily, looking about the place as if she’d never seen it before. “We’ll have to come home on Friday night, so we can stop here along the way and listen to the live music.” She spun around to Joe. “Please, Dad? Please, please, please?”
She pulled out her batting eyelashes and pouty lips, and Barry knew Joe wouldn’t be able to resist. Who could say no to Iris when she knew exactly how to make you putty in her hands?
To Joe’s credit, he gave a valiant effort.
“But what about the fireworks on Saturday night, honey? You love those.”
“Can’t we do both?”
Joe chuckled nervously.
“This diner is much closer to home than it is to the campsite. You’d hate all the driving.”
Her eyes lit up as an idea came to her. “Barry could drive!”
And that was when Barry knew he was in hell.
Joe’s gaze shifted to his, making matters worse.
“All you’d have to do was be in the car, Dad. You can even sleep!”
Alarmed, Barry’s eyes widened, and he stared at her.
“I’ve only had my permit a week, Iris!”
She frowned and turned to look at him. Apparently, Joe was getting a kick out of it.
“If Barry’s okay with it, I’m okay with it.”
Barry’s mouth fell open.
“Please, Barry, pleeeease.” She intertwined her fingers in a folded hands stance as she pleaded, accompanying it with those beautiful batting eyelashes and perfect pouting lips. She got closer and closer the longer he stayed silent.
“Iris…”
“Please, Barry, I’ll do anything you want.”
That made him blush.
“Within reason, of course.”
He cleared his throat. “Of course.”
“Of course?” Her eyes lit up happily. “Of course!” She jumped into his arms.
“Wait, Iris, no-”
“Daddy, he said of course!” She turned and hugged her dad too.
“Iris, I didn’t mean-”
“That’s great, sweetheart,” Joe said, grinning.
Iris was still jumping up and down when the host appeared.
“What’s the occasion?” the woman asked.
“Barry’s bringing us back for the live music on Friday!”
Her eyes widened. “Oh, that’s wonderful.” She looked around to see where Barry was and saw Joe pointing in his direction, while Barry himself looked not very pleased at his current predicament.
She quietly laughed to herself.
“We have a great country band coming this Friday,” the host added. “They’ll have you dancing in no time.”
“Dancing,” Iris said, mesmerized as she and the two guys who’d come with her followed the host to their seats.
Barry was frowning in a confused manner because he couldn’t remember Iris ever liking country music.
Joe was frowning because he hated it.
At approximately 4 p.m. that afternoon, the West/Allen family made it to the Lake Muna campground.
The lake could be seen only from Iris and Joe’s side of the car, so Barry was given a brief reprieve from her snuggles. Still, he did miss her warmth, and he did want to see the lake through all the trees surrounding them on the dirt road.
“Oh, Daddy, it’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Iris swooned.
“Mhmm,” Joe agreed. “Should make for some good fishing too.”
Iris rolled her eyes, then looked behind her.
“Barry, what do you think abou-” She frowned. “What are you doing all the way over there? Don’t you want to see the lake better?”
“Uh…” His mouth went dry. “My… My seatbelt won’t reach.” He blushed fiercely.
“You’re so weird, Barry,” she said and climbed over to him to unbuckle his belt. “C’mon.”
He looked to Joe once to see if he’d interject but got nothing from that sector, despite him being a cop who should care about things like seatbelts being taken off when the car was still in motion.
So, he crawled across the seat with Iris and looked out the window. He kneeled on the floor so his lap couldn’t be presented to Iris where she sat on the seat, but once he’d calmed himself down enough to assure there wouldn’t be any unfortunate incidents due to him moving across the seat, he was glad that he did.
The view was breathtaking.
“See? Aren’t you glad you broke that silly law?” She giggled, ignoring her Dad’s slight glare in the rearview mirror.
Barry ignored it too, for his own sanity, and only nodded.
“It’s beautiful.”
Iris sighed contently and leaned her face against the side of the window.
“This is going to be the best year ever.”
He smiled, then turned to look at her, lost in the view of the lake. Barry was lost in her and completely oblivious to if Joe was catching the moment or not.
“I’ll be right back,” Joe said, coming to a stop in the parking lot, so he could go in and confirm their reservation.
He took one step outside of the car and cursed.
Barry and Iris’ moment was broken, and they turned to see what was wrong.
“We may have a bit of a problem, kids.” Joe pressed his fingers to his creased brow.
“What is it, Dad?” Iris asked, Barry following her out of the car.
They didn’t know how, but one of the tents had gotten caught and torn. It would be no good to any of them, even if they wanted to duct tape the tears back together. Joe knew full well the tents for purchase were three times the price they were back home. Troubled, he contemplated a solution.
“Well, I guess there’s only one solution here,” Joe said.
The two turned to look at him.
“What’s that?” Iris asked.
Barry was afraid to breathe.
“You two will have to share a tent. You can have mine. I’ll take the smaller one.”
Barry paled, horrified.
Iris, as per usual, was thrilled.

Up Next for thelittlefanpire:
I’ve got a terrible habit of starting things and not finishing them...but I did write 12 fics(80k+) so far in 2k19, most of them are one shots and complete but there’s a few WIPs I’d like to wrap up and ideas that definitely need to be laid to rest before the fandom dies. #RIPTwilightWIPs. Most of these are titled. All of these probably have their own board on Pinterest and a moodboard in my drafts.
Here’s a neverending list of ideas that I would very much like to write, so...prompt me?! Help me fight through the writer’s block and publish these babies in some form! ilysm.

My Austin with Zilker Belts
In honor of Masters weekend, we’re kicking off a new blog series called ‘My Austin’ and getting to know the men behind Zilker Belts, and their favorite things about our home sweet home - Austin, Texas. We sat down with Wade Green and Hill Shands to talk about everything from their Austin history to their go-to spots around town …
Shop Zilker Belts | Follow Zilker Belts
Tumblr media
Left to Right: Casey & Wade Green + Brittany & Hill Shands
TSG: Tell us about Zilker Belt’s history in ATX…
WG: The idea for Zilker Belts was inspired on a double-date with our now wives back in March of 2014. We had a desire to bring the classic Argentine gaucho belts to the U.S. while building a fun-loving Austin brand around the concept.  It took over a year to find the right manufacturing partner in Buenos Aires, but we’re grateful we took our time as we couldn’t be any happier with who we’re working with.  Their quality and attention to detail is second-to-none.
TSG: Where did the name ‘Zilker Belts’ come from?
WG: Zilker Park has been a very special place for us in the combined thirty-ish years that Hill and I have lived in Austin. It’s everything from a recreational hub, a great place for live music, and - most importantly to us - the location of the Austin Sunshine Camps, a non-profit that we’re passionate about supporting and where we served on the board for nearly a decade. That blend of outdoors activity, social and musical involvement, and the spirit of giving back encompassed what we wanted to communicate with our brand.
TSG: What’s your favorite season in ATX?
WG: They all have their merits for sure, but picking one, I would probably go with Spring. The transition from Winter to Spring electrifies the city: South by Southwest, patio dining, outdoor activities…
HS: Without a doubt, my favorite time of the year is Spring. To start, crawfish season kicks off in March and I love spicy cajun food. Plus, the weather starts to warm up and my golf clubs come out of hibernation. I enjoy sneaking out to Lions to play a few holes in the afternoon. It’s a great time to get outside to hike, kayak, and fly fish.

TSG: What’s your favorite Austin event?
WG: My favorite season coincides with my favorite Austin event: SXSW. The interactive and film portions also bring an eclectic, creative mix of people to the city. It’s a great opportunity to see a wide variety of bands all over town, and a nice chance to introduce our belts to new people from all over the world.
HS: This is a hard one… but I’d say SXSW followed by the Dell Match Play Tournament and Save Muny Invitational. A good mix of live music and high-level golf is hard to beat.
TSG: What’s your favorite Austin neighborhood?
WG: Hard to choose just one, so I’ll give you my top three… Hill lives in Barton Hills, which would definitely be one of my top 3 with its easy greenbelt access and proximity to downtown. Clarksville is a great historic neighborhood with a ton of charm & character. Casey (my wife) and I live in Westlake and love the feeling of being in nature and on the water while still being close to the city.
HS: My favorite Austin Neighborhood is Barton Hills/Zilker neighborhood. I enjoy hiking the greenbelt with my wife (Brittany), dog (Jazzy), and son (Judge). Also, hard to beat cruising our bikes to Zilker and swimming in Barton Springs.
Tumblr media
TSG: Where’s your go-to place for a drink?
WG: Deep Eddy Cabaret + Pool Burger is our go-to spot for Zilker meetings and happy hours.
HS: East Side - Lazarus Brewing Co, Whisler’s, Weather Up, Cisco’s, and Zilker Brewery.
TSG: What’s your go-to coffee shop?
WG: I’ve been making my own cold brew coffee for years now and have fallen out of the frequent coffee shop visits. That said, Mozart’s would probably be my favorite setting to grab a coffee and knock out some work on the patio.
HS: Radio Coffee & Beer
TSG: What’s your go-to for a special night out?
WG: We don’t have a favorite, but we do make a habit of trying new restaurants around town, which we always follow up with live music at C-Boy’s, Antone’s or The Gallery above Continental Club.
HS: South Congress - Dinner at Perlas or Botticelli’s, drinks at Hotel San Jose, and catching some music at C-Boys or Continental Club.
Tumblr media
TSG: Finish this sentence - ‘You know you’re an Austinite when…’
WG: You have tacos for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Or, when you get crushed by cedar fever every winter.
TSG: Favorite part about living in Austin?
WG: All of it? We love how vibrant the city is: everyone is so friendly, companies are so creatively-oriented, the outdoor opportunities are endless, the food is amazing and world-class music is hard to avoid.
HS: The laid back lifestyle with a work hard/play hard mentality. Let’s not forget, Mexican food and margaritas!
TSG: What’s it like to be an entrepreneur in Austin?
WG: Collaborative. As young of a company as we are, we’ve been humbled and inspired by how helpful other brands have been throughout our journey. In Austin, there’s a feeling of community that can’t be taken for granted that I believe is unique compared with other cities.

Further Thoughts re: musical disinterest - a reflection on my personal narrative (pt. 1 to HS)
The more I read and the more I think, the further I seem to find myself from where I began. The narrative I tell myself is generally linear and it ends with me here, generally disinterested in musical practices. I have never really attempted to put these thoughts into writing and I hope by doing so I can begin to problematize some of the underlying ideas or views about music and myself that are contributing to this general musical torpor.
~~~~~~~~~~
My earliest musical memories begin for me in two settings: elementary school and my former church. I don’t remember much of my music classes before being introduced to the recorder, but the recorder was certainly my first musical love. I also was in the school choir and the Orff ensemble that sometimes performed with it. When I think back to why I liked the recorder, I think it was mostly competition. The whole karate-like belt system sort of gamified the whole thing and for some reason I had either a knack for it or just an interest in being the quickest to the highest belt, so I was able to compete that way. I definitely liked the music and practiced a lot, but for some reason it’s the desire to be the best that stands out to me looking back.
In church, music was a more passive and personal act. Even though I was seen as “musically gifted” by my parents and people at school, I never participated in any of the organized musical ensembles (choirs, light rock bands, holiday ensembles where anyone could play anything) at church. As I was heading off to college, my pastor was shocked to hear that I was leaving to study classical music because despite my heavy involvement in the church, it was never in a musical capacity. There were reasons I didn’t do anything like that in church though and they were always explicitly known to me. First, I really enjoyed the simple aesthetic of organ/piano and choir. We had a super rad organist who would wail on the organ in the greatest way. I remember the way he made the opening notes of the alleluia feel like a jolt making me stand up as I was supposed to. Second, I couldn’t and (still can’t really) sing very well haha. This has never really bothered me but it’s something I quickly came to know. I think these church music experiences were my first feelings of being “moved” by music and I loved it. I didn’t want to play my bassoon with it because I loved it the way it was. I even organized my altar serving duties around the 8am mass because that’s when the choir and organ were playing and I never wanted to serve at the 5pm “LifeTeen” mass where there was a light rock band instead.
Middle school was in some ways my peak musical enjoyment. My school had 3 huge bands with a lot of enthusiastic students, some of whom were very good. We were the largest middle school band program in the whole county and so were seen as (and told we were) “the best.” Riding the high off of the “first to the highest belt” recorder experience, i was eager to get in there and keep playing. In the process of getting a new, band-suitable instrument, I actually wasn’t assigned my top choice (oboe). In retrospect, this was probably a good thing for a number of reasons but I’ve always felt uneasy by the fact that my relationship with the bassoon began out of necessity(?) instead of desire. My parents were on the verge of renting me an oboe because of how disappointed I was but I powered through and said “it was no big deal” even though in the moment it kind of was. Despite that one rocky start, middle school band was amazing. I went every day before school to the big, open band room (often being the first student there) and practiced scales or other pass-off materials. I was moved to Advanced Band as a 7th grader, passing over Intermediate Band which was seen as an accomplishment in the middle school band circles and something I was proud of. I remember after assignments were posted for the upcoming year, I was pointed to by my band director as an example of “intrinsic motivation,” a moment which has always stuck with me (maybe it wasn’t at that time but I think it had something to do with assignments). My fondest memories of this time come from playing through the relatively simple bass lines from my band music in unison with my euphonium friends. We were just jamming on our repeated C quarter notes when one of us would inevitably scream/sing the bop of a melody we were all already hearing in our heads and it would make us jam harder. I don’t talk to any of these people anymore and really haven’t since high school.
Middle school was also when I first began to ‘get serious’ about music though too. In the midst of all the quarter-note bopping, I started taking private lessons and going to music summer camps (a tradition I’ve only since forgone three times in the subsequent 13 years, once due to covid). I began progressing technically and musically and for the first time saw myself as a ‘musician.’ It was sometime in middle school that the idea of me being a professional bassoonist became in competition with my previous goal of being a theoretical math professor. I made all-county band every year and even made first chair all-county jazz band on tenor sax after just sort of winging the audition (very jazz of me). At the time (and even now I guess) I see this period as a relatively successful and fun one. The only musical disappointments I had were that I didn’t make All-State the one year I applied, but that was remedied in high school and didn’t feel devastating at the time because it was my first big audition and I kind of knew it didn’t go well.
My musical life (and that of some other students) became the subject of musical and educational politics by the end of 8th grade though. The high school I was supposed to go to, like my middle school that fed into it, had the largest and ‘best’ band program in the county. However, I was considering going to a different high school because of their International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This IB school (which I did ultimately attend) had a failing feeder middle school band program and thus a less than vibrant music program itself. Knowing this, coupled with some knowledge about school funding and resource distribution for programs like IB that I knew nothing about, my band directors (and most of my other teachers, come to think of it) told me to stay away from this school because my musical life would suffer. I know they had good intentions, but in my mind this put music and academics at odds with each other in a much starker way than I had ever thought before. It felt like a choice and it was a difficult one. With the help of some trusted teachers and advisors, I even went on a search for another high school that might have both an IB program and a better band program so I didn’t have to choose. In the end there were no other viable options and ultimately, I put trust in myself that I could keep my musical life alive in high school if the band program was as bad as they said. It was both not as bad as they said and much worse, but ultimately was a great fit for me.
~~~~~~~~~
This was a lot and I was expecting to go even further but I think I need to rest. Already I see certain issues to reflect on here. Competition used to be a driving factor, but now I’m just not as competitive of a person anymore so that doesn’t drive me. I don’t attend church and though I’ve tried to go back just can’t seem to feel like I belong anymore, so that source of musical enjoyment is gone. Continual success and sort of a lack of disappointment early on probably made it much harder to experience my first real musical disappointment later in life (sometime in college probably? there’s a question for reflection) and maybe after that I just never really got back on my feet self-confidence-wise. As I’m sure I’ll touch on in my next entry, the academic/performance divide that began as my two potential career paths and reinforced by the IB/band program decision is a narrative framework that I use to think about my life and work to this day. Some of these observations I think I had made previously or sort of understood in some terms but that last one is genuinely new to my conscious thoughts.
These are just nuggets though and obviously this is one part of the story and even this one part is super bare-bones. Anyways ~ here you go, void. Have fun with this I guess

Note
all the numbers
aight, i got nothing else to do. i’ll try to keep them less than a paragraph short tho.
1: Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie.First, I’d have to decide my overall favorite movie, but I don’t have a Favorite ya know. But if I had to pick some, my default answer is Beauty and the Beast and Treasure Planet. I don’t really remember watching Beauty and the Beast but I do know that I loved their soundtrack. Treasure Planet, I’d seen some clips on youtube and one of them made me cry so I thought I’d check it out and man I loved it bc of the adventure and space and pirates. :D
2: Talk about your first kiss.My first kiss happened the summer of my Sophomore-Junior year of HS and its what set up the drama for Junior year. Anyway, confused feelings had been in place beforehand and I had gotten with and broke-up with my ex-bf in a little more than a month due to conflicting feelings that I realized during our band trip to Disneyland. Fast forward a few months, my friend confessed her feelings for me first over text, and I said I felt the same way. She invites me to her birthday party which was a sleepover. Once everybody fell asleep I kissed her on the cheek and I thought that would be it, but she pulled me back for a kiss on the lips… and then we had a makeout session for like the whole night. Then a few weeks pass and she dumps me. :/ What made it worse was that she held it over me for the rest of the school year since we were on the same team together.
3: Talk about the person you’ve had the most intense romantic feelings for. This one is easily my girlfriend. I’ve told the story about the prank and our fake dating shenanigans, but lord I fell for her so hard. I have a thing about touch, and I don’t really like it when people touch me all the time or without permission. But with her man.. her hugs–I’m shorter than her so she basically envelopes me and like I still think back to the first day I came back after That Day which was band camp weekend but man that was a good hug and we weren’t even dating yet. Sorry, I digress, but I found her so much easier to trust than everybody else I’d been with. Like with my ex-bf I was always holding back my actual feelings/pretend everything was ok and with ss I always had to watch my language, and like with both of them I never got around to fully trusting. But with her-my gf-I trusted her before we started dating and I trusted her so much more after we got together. I trust her still to this day. And with the romantic feelings bit, I’m not afraid of being a dork around her and flirt with her and hold her and god. She’s so beautiful.
4: Talk about the thing you regret most so far. There’s a lot of things I regret. But I think rn, the one I can tell you is that I didn’t work hard enough in high school bc I never thought I’d make it through high school.
5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had. This last one actually. Heh. I got to spend my day with my gf :)
6: Talk about the worst birthday you’ve had.I don’t really have bad birthdays, I just hate my birthdays bc I don’t like having been born. :/
7: Talk about your biggest insecurity.Idk what exactly is my biggest insecurity but I’ll talk about all my other insecurities. I think I’m a horrible conversationalist, being all awkward and highly introverted. I don’t complain about my body too much but I certainly don’t celebrate it. I hate my laugh and my voice, and I don’t think my face is really anything to look at I used to think everybody just talked to me because they had no other choice but to. I feel easily replaceable and forgettable. I feel like I’m dumb af bc I’m not exactly the quickest thinker and sometimes I can’t hear people. I feel like I’m always doing the wrong thing and I stand out but not in a good way. I just feel like a good annoyance in general.
8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.I’m proud of being able to graduate high school. :/9: Talk about little things on your body that you like the most.I like my calves, they’re the only thing that show I have some muscle. I used to like my biceps too but they’ve deflated and there’s like no muscle there anymore. I like that my ears can do the little wiggle thingy. Also my hands can type medium-fast speed.
10: Talk about the biggest fight you’ve ever had.The biggest fight I’ve had is with myself ever since I wanted to kms. But if you want an external fight, its probably the one between me and ss since that shit lasted hella long.
11: Talk about the best dream you’ve ever had.I don’t remember dreams unless they’re really weird.12: Talk about the worst dream you’ve ever had.Idk if you’d count it as a nightmare bc it was just super weird but I remember a dream about people getting turned it leaves, and witches, and Professor X and idk its all just a mess.
13: Talk about the first time you had sex/how you imagine your first time. The first time I had sex was in the guard room. And like it was weird bc I’ve never masturbated and stuff so I didn’t know how anything felt down there. I’ve never used a tampon by then so I’ve never had anything inserted there. Also I was pretty unaware where tf my clit was… So. My point is, there was a lot of confusing sensations but I didn’t really mind bc it was my gf who took my virginity.
14: Talk about a vacation.I went to Lake Tahoe with my gf and her family and we did like hella romantic shit. Like we went on a stroll on the beach at night with all the constellations and we did stuff in bed and we went to an arcade and we swam and man that was a lot of fun. I was on my period tho for most of it, which sucked but. 🤷🏻‍♀️
15: Talk about the time you were most content in life.I just really think about the times my gf would hold me and I’d focus on her heartbeat and the feel of her and nothing else. 16: Talk about the best party you’ve ever been to.idk about this one. With parties, I usually get peopled out. 17: Talk about someone you want to be friends with.I don’t have anyone rn since school hasn’t started yet for me and also I’m pretty anti-social. :/18: Talk about something that happened in elementary school.I was known for being the most aggressive girl/team member in gym floor hockey during PE. So like, picture this, from 3rd graders to 6th graders all being in the same PE class since there were so little of us. Now imagine smaller me coming up behind a taller, older boy and ramming them into the wall in order to get the hockey puck. Also imagine smaller me, sprinting–and I was the fastest girl in my grade for a while–and practically charging at you to get that hockey puck. Needless to say, people liked being on my team. 19: Talk about something that happened in middle school.I was in 7th grade, and I had just transferred into my new school. I had been sitting alone at lunch, minding my own business, and reading a book when three girls come up to me. They introduce themselves and invite me to sit at lunch with them. They really helped.
20: Talk about something that happened in high school. For my final english project in senior year, we had to do a live acting of Romeo and Juliet. I was in the odd ones out group and it had a bunch of people who would never be in a group together unless they were forced to- which we were. I had done all the preparation for the script, it was like two days before the final date and we agreed to meet at the park’s ampitheater to do a final run together. I had just come back from performing at a parade and lord I was tired. We were fighting about how things were supposed to go a lot.
21: Talk about a time you had to turn someone down.During 8th grade, I got transferred into another PE class since I signed up for creative writing and there was only one period of it. I don’t remember how, but I eventually became friends with this scrawny kid named Tiger.. no joke. Anyway, I distinctly remember one time we were sitting inside on some bleachers and there were those jerk-y middle school boys behind us and they started picking on him. I remember looking at them and like telling something along the lines of back off. Anyway, skipping to 8th grade dance, I was with my friends when Tiger came along and asked for me to slow dance with him. I did. He was the second person I slow danced with. After a few slow dances my friends were making fun of me for it, but like not bc of him, more that someone asked me to slow dance and they were like poking harmless fun. Thing was, I knew he had a crush on me but I really didn’t return the feelings. Moving on to freshmen year, he calls up my mom due to bowditch directory, and asked me to go to the movies with him. I had to turn him down. 22: Talk about your worst fear.My worst fear, there are a good few fears that tie for that spot. My first one is my fear of abandonment and like disappointing everyone to the point that they just realize its better to go on without me. To an extent, its my fear of being forgotten. My second one, the fear of myself, or rather my intrusive thoughts, and being faced with all things I’ve done and thought, knowing everything that’s happened is my fault and getting confirmation of that. Fear that I’d hurt someone because of something I did. The third one is losing everything that matters to me.
23: Talk about a time someone turned you down.Let’s just talk about my “breakup” with SS during Sophomore-Junior summer bc it was kinda shitty. The reason its in quotations is bc is it actually a break-up if you were never officially together in the first place. Like, the details get muddled up but she essentially told me over text. I remember this because I was just coming back from working on my drum major routine over the summer, I was on a bridge when I got the text. Something along the lines of her parents and her religion and stuff. It really sucked bc it was before I would leave for guard camp and the people who were going with me had shipped both me and her together. :/
24: Talk about something someone told you that meant a lot. There was one time in Brentwood and one time after SCVC camp. But thats between me and her. <3
25: Talk about an ex-best friend. For the 4th time today, I’m talking about SS. Like c’mon universe really? Anyway, she was a best friend but honestly man, she wasn’t even the best of my friends. She was a close friend, but she wasn’t the best friend. It didn’t help that I had had a crush on her for half the time before our really bad and long ass fight. 26: Talk about things you do when you’re sick.I just realized I haven’t been properly sick in a while like sick with a fever so I actually have to stay in bed. Like I’d usually get like sniffles and a cough but I’d be okay for the day. So like, I like piling myself in blankets and hide from the world really.
27: Talk about your favorite part of someone else’s body. The eyes will always get me. Take that and add a smile, and bruh. Thats beauty.
28: Talk about your fetishes.Forgive me, but I had to search these up bc I didn’t know what exactly counted as a fetish. So like if something isn’t a fetish just like.. tell me or something. So like BDSM like light bondage and blindfold and stuff. Strap-on. Dom/Sub stuff and like orgasm control/denial? Are hickies considered a fetish? I’m reading here something about being bitten but idk if that means voyeurism or like vampire roleplay or if they mean hickies.
29: Talk about what turns you on.My gf ;) But like kissing. Neck and ear biting/nibbling.  Dry humping. Hair pulling- moreso bc of my haircut. Teasing. When my gf is being really dominant. Also when my gf is being really submissive and her moans. ;D
30: Talk about what turns you off. Those gifs of porn when you’re searching up a tag on tumblr and like bruh, I just wanted to see a pic about like puppy i didn’t need to see some bondage gay puppy roleplay like c’mon!
31: Talk about what you think death is like.A rest from the thoughts in your head. Quiet. The final escape. Maybe you get a second chance. That the next universe you experience, you’re in control, that you get to relive your life but better the next time around.
32: Talk about a place you remember from your childhood.I remember the first time I stepped foot in the Post Office in my hometown/childhood city. It looked different from the PO in place where we used to live. It was made of bricks and it looked really cool. I’ve only gone in once or twice but I remember all the PO boxes and the wooden shelves and getting to learn how to send a letter. Idk why exactly I remember this but yeah.
33: Talk about what you do when you are sad.Depends how sad I am. Sometimes I try to distract myself, sometimes I just stew in those thoughts. If its night, then I have a good chance of crying myself to sleep.
34: Talk about the worst physical pain you’ve endured.Idk when I get leg cramps in the middle of the night. It used to happen all the time during Sophomore and Junior year and I’d feel it throughout the day.
35: Talk about things you wish you could stop doing.Living. heh. Procrastinating and being depressed.
36: Talk about your guilty pleasures.ml and pr. shhhh
37: Talk about someone you thought you were in love with.5th time. Hopefully my last time talking about her. The reason that what happened between us hurt so much was bc I thought I was in love with her once. That’s why every time she’d shove a crush of hers in my face or something that I’d forgive her. But I got tired of it and waiting for her. I moved on. And it was a good decision bc I now have someone I really am in love with. But she didn’t like it, and apparently she had still “loved” me by letting me go, but thats just bullshit. That’s just bullshit.
38: Talk about songs that remind you of certain people.I have a whole playlist for my gf. And then there’s No by Meghan Trainor that my friend really hates XD
39: Talk about things you wish you’d known earlier. That I’d make it through HS and graduate. Maybe I could have built something up rather than assume I wouldn’t make it.
40: Talk about the end of something in your life.It was my birthday, so it was the end of me being that age I was before.

Questions to my Former Self w/ Aaron Lucci @peachylucci
The running community its deep. We feel connected to strangers from the mere word of “PR”. The connection between runners goes beyond the confines of gender and class. I am very fortunate in my journey to have met some beautiful souls, amazing people along the way. In the tradition of paying it forward, i wanted to continue the Questions to my former self series. Today we catch up with Aaron Lucci. For the last few summers my main man, Coach Perry Pappas of Wakefield HS XCTF here in Mass, always talked highly about the kids who were amazing runners, leaders and teammates. Lucci was one of those kids, who is now a college graduate.
I was fortunate this past summer Year 5 for me but first time attending week one at Foss Running Camp this is where I got to see and experience the legend of Lucci
Question to my Former Self with Aaron Lucci:
Social Media
Instagram: peachylucci
Twitter: @Green_Lucci
Facebook: Aaron Lucci
First & Last name: Aaron Green Lucci
Age: 23
HS Graduated & year graduated: Wakefield Memorial High School 2014
College & Year of Graduation: The University of Vermont 2018
Running Club: Battle Road Track Club
Events:
PR’s 8kxc 25:04 3k 8:30 mile 4:11 1500 3:51
DATG: Who are your biggest influences in your life and why ?
Aaron Lucci: My two biggest personal influences are defiantly my parents Pam & Rob. My mother ran at Wakefield High school (with coach Deke and Duff) and still runs now, completing her first half marathon this past year(2019). Her parents both started running during the jogging boom of the 1970s, and ran into there late 60s. My grandfather completed his first marathon in the 1980s and my grandmother completed her first half marathon a few years ago 2008 when she was 67 . From day one I have been so fortunate to have overwhelming support from them. My dad did not play any sports in High School (also Wakefield High School) but began running in his late 40s as my sister and I became involved in the sport. My father has had a much bigger influence on my musical tastes. Giving me all of his records, and buying me my first iPod in 2008 (which I still have). He first introduced me to Jazz, The Grateful Dead, and Jimi Hendrix. I still remember him pulling out Jimi's "Electric Lady Land" Album when I was in 5th grade. Later when I was starting to play bass in school Jazz band he gave me Herbie Hancock's "Headhunters" album, and Charles Mingus's "Mingus 5x" album. Both parents have given me the tools and inspiration to become the runner and musician I am today.
DATG: Who do you listen to or what artists gets you in the zone before competition or do you have different warm up routine ?
Aaron Lucci: I typically do listen to music on the way to competition, but as soon as I am out of the bus or car my ears are out of the headphones. In high school and college I would always try to be a good team member and not isolate myself in a meet setting. I remember Mike Rutt (current UML coaching staff) talking about how he used to do his drills listening to music, but stopped at some point and found he was more relaxed and raced better. I have continued to try to be in the moment in the hours before competition. However on the way to the Battle Road Workout tonight I hope to listen to Mac Demarco.
DATG: if you have a chance to go for a run with anyone in the world who would it be and why ?
Aaron Lucci: I would go for a run with my old roommate Pat Coppinger (Lowell, UVM) because he has the most interesting stories.
DATG: What inspired you to start Vlogging ? What’s the url address (I will Hyperlink it)
Aaron Lucci: I was inspired to start Vlogging after watching Bri Ilarda's VLOG about training and her day to day life. I have always loved taking pictures and this feels like a natural extension of that.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPMFDT3NJ7G80FfLCnYccCw?view_as=subscriber DATG: what’s your go to cereal ?
Aaron Lucci: Cheerios
DATG: What was it liked being Coached by Coach Perry Pappas ?
Aaron Lucci: I got to see Pap turn the program around. He was an assistant until my junior year at which point he became the head cross country couch. I can still remember him explaining what the difference between an aerobic and anaerobic run to us, using a white board as we sat on the outdoor track. I always felt like he could explain why we were doing the workouts he gave us, and he was always learning something new. I had complete trust in him as a coach, and I think that is one of the most important things an athlete can have.
DATG: what advice or experience would you like to share to the future Freshmen who will be entering Wakefield High School and they are interested in running?
Aaron Lucci: I almost played soccer the fall of my freshman year, and making the decision to run cross country was the best decision I have ever made.. Ill say it again running Cross Country was the single best decision I have ever made. My advise , Don't Quit.
DATG: When & Where did you run your personal Best in your most memorable race
Aaron Lucci: A race I will never forget is the America East DMR Indoor 2018. I ran the 1600 leg smart and we finished 2nd. Awesome race, and the only conference medal I got with a relay team in College.
DATG: When did you first started running competively?
Aaron Lucci: I won the middle school mile in 8th grade. That's the first race I can remember being excited leading up to it, hurting during, and feeling exhilarated after.
DATG: Where do yourself in five years ?
Aaron Lucci: In five years I hope to have lowered all of my college PRs. Everything else is out of focus, but I will probably still live in or around Boston, and call my grandparents on Sundays.
DATG: Why do you keep coming back to Foss Running Camp ?
Aaron Lucci: Foss is the first place I met a group of adults who all ran in college and put running first in there day-to-day. Not to mention all the friends from different towns I made in High school who became role models and future teammates. I keep coming back because I know I can pass on that focus and hopefully inspire some high-school kids to run in College. On a selfish level, its the best week of training I get all year.
DATG: why are you still running as a Post Grad ?
Aaron Lucci: The desire to improve my PRs, a love of racing, and a love for training. The first two I have had since day one, running the mile in middle school gym class. Its only been in the past four years I have slowly come to realize just how good it feels to be in great shape and to strive for that feeling. Once you are in love with the process there's no turning back.
DATG: Why battle Road Club
Aaron Lucci: After College I reached out to a few clubs in Boston and Battle Road was the first club to get back to me. Now that I know more about the other clubs around Boston I am glad I am here, because there are no hobby joggers on the team. There is a diversity in ability, but all the people on the team seem to be focused on running. It is also great to now train with a bunch of guys from America East I used to race. (and who used to beat me) I also like that we are underdogs and not too big. USATF Club Nats is next week in PA! (dec14)
Great Questions, I can't wait to hear from other athletes and coaches!!
