The vampire diaries fandom is crazy because the amount of klaroline/klayley shippers who romanticize abuse as a sign these ships are Superior to their healthy counterparts (aka haylijah and steroline) is alarming

Klaus repeatedly tried to kill these two young women and thought of them as prizes to be won because his ego is that fragile, he had no respect for their body autonomy and decisions and expected to infiltrate their lives without consequences

I mean shipping him with a girl he almost raped/killed and another he almost killed for wanting an abortion is not the enemies to lovers you think it is

It was toxic/codependent and shouldn't be normalized

You think that the Mikaelson’s ( mainly Klaus and Elijah’s ) cruelty was completely fine because they pUt FaMiLy fIrSt, when they constantly daggered each other and had an unhealthy obsession with their technically teenage sister’s love life

You think that Vicki Donovan, an extremely troubled young girl with bad family issues and a drug problem, deserved to die at the hands of a 160 year old monster because you found her problems annoying

You don’t think that Katherine Pierce deserved any sympathy, despite her enduring a borderline abusive father, having her child ripped away from her, being banished and sent to an unfamiliar country in disgrace, being taken advantage of by two men who then tried to murder her, having to be on the run for hundreds of years, falling in love with a man who she had to leave, being captured by hunters, having the man who once loved her fall in love with her doppelgänger, having the cure shoved down her throat, being hunted by a 2000 year old psycho, start the agonising process of quick aging, becoming suicidal and trying to jump off a clock tower, having her daughter die in her arms, going to hell whilst Klaus Mikaelson went to heaven and never having anyone truly care about her for an extended period of time unless they wanted to get in bed with her

You hate Elena Gilbert but stan one or both of the Salvatore brothers and/or Caroline Forbes

You think that Rebekah Mikaelson was whiny for wanting love outside of her toxic ass family

You think that post s4 Elena Gilbert was better than s1-s3 Elena Gilbert

You can’t tell the difference between disliking Tyler Lockwood because of his often pig-headed personality but still sympathising with him due to Klaus’ mistreatment of him and believing that his character had no flaws and that Forwood was a great ship with no issues whatsoever.

Hope you agree with at least some of these opinions, might do a part 2 as I have many more views on tvd.

I talked about haylijah a lot, but not always in ways that shippers appreciated. My most pro-HE post was actually a scene rewrite of the time when Elijah is sick with Klaus’ bite! I really love what I did with that. Another post that shippers tended to like? Maybe? is when I defended Klaus’ obsession with their relationship, or why he always talked about them as an item and seemed to want them to be together.

I’ll find and reblog those posts for you so you don’t have to wade through my “#amy talks ships” tag, but if you want any more ship talk that’s where you’ll find it! I rarely posted my analysis in the main tags of ships because I wasn’t shipping or necessarily supporting the ship, so I made a separate tag for all the ship talk I did write.

the annoying moment when your “Easy Show” Pitts your two least favourite characters and most toxic ships/shippers/fandoms against each other and against the main toxic ship and so even though you kinda like parts of one guy you’re stuck in the middle of this awkward war where you don’t really agree with either side. it’s exhausting

Daniel definately has amaze kiss game! Especially w Nina! Kalijah my heart! Expect w the girl who was the wolf. He always looked so awkward and uncomfortable kissing her! And they made him do it so much for people to like her and never worked.

Yes! Mr. Gillies seems to be an amazing kisser. He certainly did have chemistry with Ms. Nina. I also agree that this wasn’t true with Hayley. I am of the same opinion that it was uncomfortable and awkward. I’m definitely anti-Haylijah, but pro-every other Elijah pairing...lol!

Do you remember when TO started and we were all so bitter about Klamille and Haylijah? And now we don't care? I feel like Steroliners are still in that phase of hate. Eventually theyll get over themselves, get out of our tags and move the hell along. But in the meantime they're being hella disrespectful. Notice how we don't have conflict with Klamille shippers anymore? Like hello take a page out of their book ffs

Do you wanna know something? I care soooo little about H*lijah now. Don’t get me wrong I still despise them but I���ve accepted that they’re never going to make Kalijah happen after they copped out on it on the show and even if they did Plec would probably find a way to destroy it. 

As for Kl*mille the only reason it bothered me as such was because it was such a blatant Klaroline rip off/replacement and Camille was clearly just supposed to be a moral pet to perch on Klaus’ shoulder and assure him of what a good person he was but I never really saw it as a threat. It was almost as if the writers were dangling the ship in the CKers faces but never actually following through, the kiss was so anti-climatic and the ily was ridiculously half-hearted. It was just so one-sided and just, yawn…

Besides, I think most people were bitter because TO had such promise. Aside from the ships, we could have had an interesting show about the Original sibling, their origin, Marcel + Davina and all the drama in the Quarter. 

Instead, we got a show that revolves around Queen Baby Mama of the Wolves Hayley and her magical offspring.

I get why the SCers are upset, first off St*roline was never written properly, to begin with. It was so one-sided, rushed, Stefan never put her first and literally had to be talked into dating her. I personally felt Caroline was very diminished but that’s my personal opinion.

In all honesty, it must be horrid to finally have your ship to be canon and then to have one person just die like that. As a Stefan fan myself, his death majorly pissed me off, especially when trash bag Damon got to live happily every after and then FIND PEACE FFS.

As for the whole tag situation, the majority of SCers are tagging their stuff as anti it’s just the one person that I pointed ou that actually put their anti post in the Klaroline tag. The # system isn’t working so if I type the words ‘#anti damon’ then it will still appear in the pro Damon tags. My thing is the number of gifsets I’ve seen, dedicated solely to invalidate KC is mind blowing. 

The only problem I ever had with the CKers is that a bunch of them got pissed and spammed my inbox because of the same tagging problem and they thought I was posting in their tags when actually it was the same word identification issue.

I just feel like between TVD and TO we were all screwed over one way or the other. Once tumblr fixes the tags, if everyone just stays in their own lane and minds their business, the world will be a better place.

I’m guessing this must be in reference to my comment in my tags re: the 4x01 plot description. I’ll quote it so we’re all on the same page: “#it would’ve been better if it was just ‘revive the slumbering mikaelsons’ but i ain’t gon tell y'all how to write your summaries”

First off, anyone who knows me knows where my priorities lie with this show: the Mikaelson family. I’m one of the most unbiased people when it comes to the ships on this show because I see pros and cons for all of them. I’ve never been either K/lamille or K/layley, and my shipping of HE has always been a wildly casual business, a step above inflamed crackshipping.

I’ve always liked HE aesthetically. I think Daniel and Phoebe work very well together and have great chemistry. I have shipped HE since the beginning. I certainly don’t ‘got something against’ them.

So let’s circle back around to what I said about my priorities for the show. The Mikaelson family will always surmount anything else on this show for me. Their relationships with each other will always matter more than their romantic relationships with anyone outside of the family. I could watch this show with no romantic ships at all, just a story about the family itself, and be perfectly happy. That doesn’t mean I don’t ship some things romantically (or have reasons not to ship other things), but ultimately, the family and their interpersonal relationships matter to me far more.

That being said, I think the episode description would’ve been better written if it had brought around the entire family since they’re what the show is actually about. Besides, Hayley didn’t spend 4x01 trying to awaken just Elijah anyway (and that wouldn’t have been productive/wise/beneficial). She had to wake up Freya first so that Freya could make the cures for her siblings. That’s what I mean when I say the episode description could have been written better.

Obviously you're allowed to think whatever you want about things you don't ship, but it's not too much to ask that you would tag any more anti-haylijah asks that you answer, so that they don't end up in the pro tag.

I could have swore I tagged the ones that I got. If i forgot then oh well. My eyes had to be treated to that gross ass ship for 3 seasons, you’ll survive a little untagged post.

Klayley shippers will tell you their ship is better than haylijah because hayley still loved Klaus even though he physically and emotionally abused her for pretty much most of the show like it's a good thing

You're allowed have your opinion about your notps, but you need to tag them better, so they don't invade the haylijah tag. Even if you tag it with "anti" it still ends up in the pro tags. As long as the name "haylijah" isn't in the tag, whatever else works. I respect your difference of opinion but for the sake of avoiding any ship that wars, your posts need to be tagged more correctly.
