Was the queer awakening for half of the queer population in this country. Cinderella is, well, Cinderella so y'know, evil stepmother and stepsister, yada yada, anyway. She's a great horse rider, can shoot a crossbow and has an owl friend (who is implied to be magic)! The plot kicks in when she received three magical hazelnuts, each hiding a dress - the huntsman outfit, a ball dress, and a wedding dress. She meets the prince three times and later at the ball she gives him three riddles to solve, only after which he can learn her identity and marry her if he wishes.

I love you hated female characters. I love you female characters that are labelled as weak because you don’t portray the typically masculine characteristics needed to be seen as strong. I love you female characters that have seen the horrors of the world and decided to stay kind and peaceful. I love you female characters that bake and garden and love. I love you female characters that are hated for your femininity. I love you female characters whose kindness is mistaken for weakness and who understand that war and violence should never be the first option. I love you female characters that are taken for granted and often labelled as ‘boring’ by a fandom unable to understand or even acknowledge the strength it takes to be kind in a world plagued by death and war.  My girl Cinderella never once looked to be saved by a man, never once dreamed of a prince coming to rescue her.

(It ain’t wrong to want a prince to save you but having that trope be part of so many female characters especially coming from male writers is blegh so I am appreciative to the ones who don’t)

After the spell wore off she was like “ok, I was super into this guy, but realistically I probably won’t see him again. That’s ok, the experience itself is something I will treasure. I’m just grateful for the night of freedom I had to myself overall.”

Like??? She’s so real legit. She did not just focus on the prince and his handsome face for the rest of the movie. This is why she’s (supposedly) the oldest Disney princess yalls 💅💅💅

She knows she isn’t being treated right but has to deal with the cards she’s dealt. She KNOWS a loud rebellion would get her nowhere which is what she tells Bruno in the beginning of the movie when he acts up after being mistreated by the cat. Which is 1000% the reality of any child coping in an abusive household, and she knows it.

(Literally wtf she has to give a dog advice bc she related to its mistreatment; like her family puts her almost at the same level as a dog and she knows it)

Girl is smart and pragmatic. Logical. She gets mad and frustrated, but knows she needs to hold those emotions back to not be punished further by her step family which would only make her life even harder. She balances out risk and reward.

Which is why the fairy godmother is such an iconic figure. An abused and lonely child who’s only dealt with the harsh realities and mind games of life, of maturing far sooner than she should’ve, getting to throw it all away for one night to embrace magic and freedom? The absolute dream come true she’s always wanted.

Oh and I am totally forgiving towards the romance being stale. That the prince was just decoration for her journey and everybody knows it. Mans was there to be her arm candy and I’m here for it. It never got unnecessary screentime or infringed on her story and independence. I chalk it up to a purely fairytale element to sweeten the happily ever after ending.

(Fr think about it. The MAN being the background arm candy to a woman in 1950s American cinema. Ain’t no way.)

Also we got his goofy wild ass in Cinderella 3 so redemption is complete

My one hope for Cinderella’s Castle is that the proshot isn’t so over produced like npmd. The npmd proshot is gorgeous visually but completely loses so much of the choreography and staging due to its amount of close ups and cuts. I just want a good view of the staging in each scene that lets me see the choreography well.

I wanted an Elriel x 2015 Cinderella art for a while now. I think Elain is so similar to Ella in that she isn’t afraid to show her sadness; her tears aren’t a weakness. And Elain has really grown as a character, fully embodying Ella’s motto of being kind and having courage.

Well well well, I've watched Cinderella again and since she is my favorite princess and since Sasukarin is my favorite couple among all the fiction world...

So then I comissioned something.

So xD I had posted this as well some time ago and I wanna add some points about them.

After rewatching the film I noticed a certain similarity between Cinderella and Karin, I believe that they were both looking to belong somewhere, they wanted to have a home again... Just like Sasuke said in the manga:

"We were lonely children and hungry for love, but we found nothing but a world full of hate."

It's something Sasuke and Karin had in common... And Cinderella share this same history... Actually, there are some other princesses whom have this same history, Cinderella is not the only one.

While Sasuke and the prince, even though they weren't looking for, they found something unique and special...

Kishi made it very clear that Karin, for Sasuke, is the strongest of all kunnoichis and this is fantastic because in a fairy tale the prince falls for the princess when he sees something especial, beautiful and unique...

Just like charming prince when he saw Cinderella.

Well, since we don't know much about charming prince, the comparisons end here, but it's interesting to think how Sasuke could reacted when he saw Karin's abilities for the first time.

In one of those filler episodes he stays mesmerized and surprised when he sees Karin using the Kagura Shingan...

Suddenly he stops... he looks up and there she stands. The girl of his dreams. Who she is? Where did she come from? Neither he knows, nor does he care, because his heart tells him that she is the woman destined to be his bride.

• Other thing that I love about fairy tale is the fact that they simply don't know each other, it's a sparkle in a tender moment between two hearts...

Cinderella didn't know he was the prince and the prince didn't know who she was and the fact that Kishimoto added a backstory for the moment when they first saw each other it's a lovely thing because at that moment, in that forest, Sasuke and Karin didn't know each other, but even so, he showed tenderness and she fell in love.
