My face when someone is ridiculously nitpicking the trailer, Halle, Flounder, Sebastian and Scuttle (aka being RACIST). It makes me want to say, “IT’S A LIVE ACTION MOVIE, YA IDIOTS!!!” 💖🏳️‍🌈

It’s just so horrible! We merfolk just go about our business and leave others alone. Why can’t humans do that? Or rather why do humans go out of their way to hate other humans? @iloveyoutoinfinity

To all my LGBTQ brothers, sisters, theys, celebrate who you are, but please be safe this month. I know you’re facing indescribable prejudice and violence against you from lawmakers and far right groups who claim to know Me, know the Father and the Spirit. Know that I see you, I can relate to you, and I love you so much. I will protect you from those who wish you harm. Again, please be safe and celebrate who you are. I will celebrate with you.

Will do, Yeshua. I’ll celebrate in a safer place. I thought about going to a Pride parade but it’s not safe with those far right bigots out there threatening us. 💖🏳️‍🌈

Teach Me: School Days
Based off a Tik Tok where a dad films his daughter on the first day of school every year
series masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack took a deep breath as packed the kids' lunches. Today was Jayla’s last first day of school. His first born wasn’t a little girl anymore. He took another deep breath trying to steady his emotions as he grabbed the camera that he only used once a year out the closet.
Kindergarten
It was bright early in the morning and Jayla is a bundle of excitement as she spins around in her purple dress. Jack crouches down to her level, camera in hand as he asks. “Alright, sweetheart, can you spell your name for daddy?”
Jayla giggles, her missing front tooth making her grin all the more adorable. “J-A-Y-L-A!” She shouts each letter with enthusiasm.
Jack smiles, his heart full as he asks, “And what do you want to be when you grow up?”
Without hesitation, she twirls, her dress flaring out like a princess in a fairytale. “I want to be a princess!” she declares, her voice ringing with certainty.
He laughs, reaching out to ruffle her hair. “A princess, huh? I think you’re already one.”
Jayla giggles again before skipping off toward the car, ready to conquer her first day of kindergarten.
First Grade
Jayla stands in front of the camera, her backpack almost as big as she is. “Okay, Jayla, can you spell your name?” Jack asks, the familiar question still full of warmth.
“J-A-Y-L-A!,” she says confidently, adding a little flourish with her hand, just for fun. “And I want to be a zookeeper so I can have all the animals!”
Jack chuckles, “All the animals? That’s a lot of work.”
“I can do it!” Jayla insists, her eyes wide with determination.
“I’m sure you can, sweetheart.”
Third Grade:
Jayla’s hair is in pigtails, bouncing as she rocks back and forth on her heels. She’s holding a stuffed giraffe, her current favorite, and she can’t wait to show it off at school. Ariel who finally moved in a couple months ago stands off to the side, a smile playing on her lips as she watches.
“Spell your name for me, Jayla,” Jack prompts.
“J-A-Y-L-A,” she spells out, her voice full of confidence. “And I’m gonna be a scientist, like in those cool movies with dinosaurs!”
Jack raises an eyebrow, amused. “Dinosaurs, huh? You think you can handle that?”
“Of course!” she says, her tone serious. “I’ll bring one home for you, Daddy.”
He chuckles, shaking his head as he looks back at Ariel who can’t help but laugh along. “I don’t know if our house is big enough for a dinosaur.”
Fifth Grade
“Okay, Miss Jayla, spell your name for me,” Jack says, holding up the camera as she stands in the driveway, looking taller and more grown-up than ever.
She rolls her eyes playfully. “Dad, I’ve been doing this forever! J-A-Y-L-A, duh!” She laughs, enjoying the routine as much as he does. “And I’m going to be a rock star!”
Ariel chimes in from behind the camera, “You’re already a star, sweetie.”
Jayla grins, giving a little air guitar performance before striking a pose. “I’m ready for my world tour!”
Jack laughs, shaking his head. “Let’s start with fifth grade first.”
Seventh Grade
Jayla stands on the front porch, her backpack slung over one shoulder. She’s holding a notebook, one that’s filled with stories she’s been writing over the summer.
“Alright, kiddo, let’s hear it. Spell your name,” Jack says, trying to keep the camera steady as she shifts nervously.
“J-A-Y-L-A,” she says, a little faster this time. “And I want to be a writer. I’ve been working on a book about dragons.”
Jack’s eyes widened. “A whole book? You’ve got to let me read it sometime.”
Her cheeks warm, shrugging as if it’s no big deal. “Maybe when it’s finished.”
Ariel leans in, smiling. “I can’t wait to read it too, Jayla. I bet it’s amazing.”
Jayla grins, her confidence boosted by their encouragement.
Freshman Year
The high school building looms in the background as Jayla stands in front of the camera, no longer the little girl with pigtails. She’s growing into herself, and it shows in the way she holds her backpack a little more casually, her smile more reserved.
“Let’s hear it, Jayla,” her dad says, the camera capturing every moment.
“J-A-Y-L-A,” she spells out, her voice clear and steady. “I think I want to be a doctor. Or maybe a vet. I’m still deciding.”
Jack’s smile is full of pride, as always. “You’ll be amazing at whatever you choose, sweetheart.”
Jayla looks back at the school, her future stretching out before her, full of possibilities.
Senior Year:
Today, the atmosphere is different. Jayla stands in the kitchen, dressed in her favorite jeans and a new shirt, ready to face her last first day of school. Jack holds up the camera, trying to ignore the lump in his throat.
“Alright, Jayla, one last time. Spell your name for me,” he says, his voice betraying the emotion he’s trying to hold back.
“J-A-Y-L-A,” she spells out, each letter carrying the weight of all the years before. She pauses, then looks at him with a soft smile. “And I don’t know exactly what I want to be when I grow up,” she admits, her voice thoughtful. “But I know I want to be happy, and I want to make a difference.”
Jack’s eyes glisten with unshed tears, and he lowers the camera for a moment, taking in the sight of his daughter, who has grown into a young woman right before his eyes.
She tilts her head, a teasing smile on her lips. “Are you going to cry, Dad?”
He laughs, a choked sound that’s half sob, half joy. “I’m trying not to, but it’s not easy.”
Ariel steps forward, placing a hand on his shoulder. She’s been there since Jayla’s second-grade year, and the emotion of the moment isn’t lost on her either. “It’s okay if you do,” she says softly, her own voice thick with emotion.
Jayla steps closer, pulling them both into a hug. “I love you guys,” she says, her voice muffled against her dad’s shoulder.
“We love you too, sweetheart,” he whispers, holding her tight, not ready to let go just yet.
After the emotional farewell in the kitchen, the day doesn’t slow down for Jack. He walks her out to the car, giving her one last hug before she drives off to start her senior year. As the car disappears down the street, he takes a deep breath, trying to shake off the bittersweet feeling of watching his first baby grow up.
But there’s no time to dwell—he has two more little ones to get ready for their big day.
Inside, the house is buzzing with excitement. Jayla’s younger siblings, twins—Jasmine and Jackson—are bouncing around the living room, their backpacks almost as big as they are. Today is their first day of kindergarten, and they’re bursting with energy.
He grabs his camera again, ready to capture the next chapter in his family’s story. “Alright, you two, it’s your turn,” he says, crouching down to get them both in the frame.
Jasmine with her curly hair and custom new balance, grins up at him. “Daddy, I’m ready! Can we do the video now?” she asks, her voice filled with excitement.
Jackson, wearing a superhero shirt and a determined expression, nods eagerly. “Yeah, we’re ready!”
He smiles, heart swelling with love as he hits record. “Okay, Jas, you first. Can you spell your name for me?”
Jasmine stands tall, puffing out her chest with pride. “J-A-S-M-I-N-E,” she spells out, each letter loud and clear.
“That’s perfect, sweetheart! And what do you want to be when you grow up?”
Jasmine thinks for a moment, her eyes lighting up as she decides. “I want to be a teacher, like Mommy!” she declares.
His heart swells, and he glances at Ariel, who’s standing nearby, her eyes misty with emotion. He chuckles softly, ruffling Jasmine hair. “That’s a wonderful choice, Jasmine.”
He laughed when Jasmine huffed, thinking that he messed up her hair.
Next, he turns to Jackson. “Okay, buddy, your turn. Can you spell your name?”
Jackson straightens up, determined to show off his skills. “J-A-C-K-S-O-N,” he spells out, his voice strong.
“Great job! And what do you want to be when you grow up?”
Without hesitation, Jackson grins and says, “I want to be a rapper, like you!”
Jack laughs, a deep, joyful sound, as he pulls Jackson into a quick hug. “I think that’s a fantastic plan, little man.”
He finishes filming, feeling a deep sense of contentment as he looks at his twins. These first-day-of-school videos have become a family tradition, a way to capture not just their growth but their dreams as well.
“Alright, let’s get you both to school,” he says, putting away the camera and giving them each a kiss on the forehead.
As he helps them into the car, he takes a moment to reflect on the journey ahead. With Jayla almost ready to leave the nest and Jasmine and Jackson just starting their school adventures, he’s reminded of the ever-changing, beautiful journey of fatherhood.
Driving them to school, he listens to their excited chatter in the backseat, feeling grateful for these moments—captured in videos, yes, but more importantly, etched in his heart forever.

What do you think about the tendency of people to label Triton as a patriarchal king?
I don’t see it that way at all. Triton is simply a king who also happens to be a man. There is nothing in the movie that implies Ariel lives in a patriarchal environment, since Triton only has daughters, and there are no indications that they live oppressed. Ariel isn’t constantly punished, locked up, or deprived of her freedom, in fact, she always does what she wants. None of the princesses are treated as inferior for being women or forced to marry specific men for status. Triton is literally happy and excited that Ariel is in love with a *merman* whose social class he doesn’t even know. Jasmine is the one living the situation that people believe Ariel is experiencing. Which I find amusing because many people say they would get along for having experienced similar situations, when in reality they couldn’t be more opposite.
The problem with labeling Triton as patriarchal is that it’s the same weak argument that tries to make Ariel out as an eternal victim. As I’ve mentioned before, Ariel is the one with a serious issue of idealizing a species foreign to her out of pure ignorance, and her father is simply being her father. It’s interesting how many people, as the years go by and they become parents themselves, rewatch this movie and, despite having grown up feeling sorry for Ariel and against Triton, come to understand Triton. I think that says quite a lot about the topic.

headcanon: haru didn't grow up on disney, but rin is a romanticist, has watched all the disney films (several times, in fact), has literally built his whole idea of romance based on all the princess movies he swears gou forced him to watch with her (even though he mostly did it for himself). so one day, he sits haru down and forces him to watch aladdin with him, just so he can sheepishly sing "i can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid" (and later admit to haru that that's the inspiration behind his constant promises of "i'll show you a sight you've never seen befores" and "don't you want to see how the rest of this dream goes"
haru just calls him an idiot. affectionately. and doesn't admit he liked watching the movie (or any movie, as long as it's with rin)
(later, they decide to spend an entire day watching a marathon of disney movies, and when they get to the little mermaid, rin is literally shaking with excitement because he just knows haru will like this one most—because of the water and swimming, duh—but haru just spends the majority of the movie complaining about how stupid it was of ariel to give up her tail for a man she barely knows. rin is amused but not quite put out, because of course that's what haru would think)
rin: so you wouldn't give up your tail for me?
haru: that's different. you're not a "man i barely know"; you're rin
rin blushes. and then he dies a little inside because he suddenly recalls that dream he had in sixth grade, of haru being a mermaid, half-fish man, whatever. his first wet dream.

Today was a delightful day in the kingdom. As Jaimie Good, I found myself embracing the joyous spirit of Rapunzel once again. My long blonde hair was gracefully styled into an intricate updo, leaving my signature braid flowing down my shoulder. Belle approached me with an amused smile. "What adventure are you planning today, Rapunzel?" I grinned, twirling a lock of hair around my finger. "I thought perhaps I'd take a stroll through the village for a change." Not far behind, Ariel emerged from the shimmering waters of the nearby lake. "Mind if I join you? I need a break from all the seashell collecting." "Of course," I said, my smile widening. "Let's make it a group affair." As we wandered, Snow White joined us with a basket of fresh apples. "Care for a snack?" "Absolutely," exclaimed Ariel, taking a bite. "These are delicious." We entered the bustling market square, where Flynn was busy haggling with a merchant. Spotting us, he walked over with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Looks like the princess brigade is out in full force. What brings you all here?" "Just enjoying the day," I replied. "No tower antics, fortunately." "Lucky for you," Flynn teased. "Wouldn't want you getting locked up again." A horse-drawn cart creaked by, attracting our attention. Cinderella waved from atop, her gown sparkling under the sunlight. "Off to the castle for a grand ball," she explained, eyes twinkling. "Sounds enchanting," Belle said dreamily. "One day, we'll all attend together." As the sun lowered, casting golden hues across the buildings, we made our way back to the castle. Passing by the garden, we found Tiana tending to her vegetables. "Dinner's going to be extra special tonight," she said cheerfully. "Can't wait," I responded. The warmth of the day had brought us all together in such a magical way. The evening was spent laughing and sharing stories over a feast prepared by Tiana. As the candles flickered, I looked around at my friends, feeling grateful for these moments that made cosplaying as Rapunzel truly magical. "As Rapunzel, I've seen many wonders," I said softly. "But nothing beats the joy of shared adventures with dear friends. Here's to many more magical days and enchanting memories." And so, under the twinkling stars, we celebrated the beauty of friendship and the joys of living out our fairy tale dreams.

Out of all those recruiter x hero/princess/prince of their stories, which one do you think would actually work if things were done differently in their stories? This is for the platonic, family like vibes, and romances
I would hope that my personality pages already answered this question. And I think you've asked me that before as well. But for the new people in the fandom who want my opinion:
Apple Poison and Snow White:
My version of Apple starts off extremely cold, and dare I say charmingly sinister. Snowy probably wouldn't see him as a romantic option, and neither would he.
He's more amused by her than anything and finds her positive nature fascinating.
It could work if one wanted to flirt with the idea, and they would certainly be a more interesting pair than Snow and Prince Florian (Yes, that's the prince's actual name).
But personally, I see him more as a treasured friend and advisor to Snow than anything.
Jack Heart and Alice:
Big brother and little sister duo all the way!!
Though I'm a little concerned about how much ship fanart I see of them. And no, before anyone asks, it's not even adult Alice from the Tim Burton movies! She's her 12-year-old self from the 2d animated movie! Wtf guys???!!
With that out of the way, they would make the cutest sibling duo ever. Jack being the trickster, and Alice being the level-headed yet adventurous sister. So cute!
Malfi (Malfie) and Aurora
I actually like Prince Philip, but if we're looking at this from an alternate dimension, I could totally see Malfi and Aurora getting together.
Granted, in my mind, you would need to de-age Malfi since Aurora is 16, but Malfi, Jack, and Pretty Scar are three recruiters who I can see being in their late teens [17-18 at least].
Aurora's kindhearted, playful nature would bounce off his vain and egocentric one perfectly. And it would even help give Aurora even more depth than she already did.
I had this one idea that after Maleficent dies, Malfi turns back into a raven. Maybe that could factor in why he's so indebted to Maleficent since he doesn't want to give up his "perfect" form. However, he does the right thing and lives in peace knowing that.
Whether you play up the tragic angle, as in, Malfi would give her up for her to be with Prince Philip in the end, or if you actually want them to end up together, it would be an interesting set up.
Eight Foot Joe and Ariel
I've seen this as a ship, and I understand why. It's an adorable one when you think about it: Grumpy guy and sweet girl. We've seen this set up thousands of times, and we can't get enough of it.
But here's the problem I have with this ship: Ariel is canonically 16. Granted, we don't know how old Joe is, but by my personal guess, he seems to be either a stress-aged young adult or a tired grown adult in his early 30s.
I know the recruiters look a lot older than they probably are due to their on-stage actors, but they also serve as our main source of info on the characters they play as.
Not to mention that Joe even calls Ariel "a little girl" when a guest asks him about her, which indicates that he sees her as someone way younger than him.
Personally, I see them having an uncle and niece dynamic.
If we're reimagining the movie with Joe in it, he would probably be known across the sea as a servant of Ursula. I mean, it's kinda hard to hide when you're the only other cecaelian around.
Maybe a young Ariel met him when he was just an octopus before Ursula transformed him. Hence why Ariel can't recognize him years later.
You could do a lot with this idea and play around with Joe being an uncle figure in Ariel's life.
Mr. Dalmatia and...the Dalmatians?
I guess they are the main characters, right?
In all seriousness, Dalma would've been adopted straight away by Pongo and Perdita if he hadn't been accidentally left behind during the escape. He would drink up their parental praise like his favorite juice. Still a brat, though, but a cute one for sure.
Pretty Scar (Mzuri) and Simba
If circumstances were different, I could see Simba, Nala, and Mzuri being friends when they were younger. Mzuri would go along with Scar's rule because she's forced to by relatives. But to redeem herself, she helps Pumbaa and Timon distract the other hyenas when Simba comes back.
If I were to add Mzuri in the story without them knowing each other, I can only really see them settling their differences in the second movie since hyenas are not respected in the Lion King universe at all.
Going by this route, PS would either despise Scar after he cowardly cast the blame towards the hyenas, or PS still clings to Scar even after he died and helps to raise Kovu.
In my mind, Mzuri would hate Scar after his betrayal, so maybe after wandering around for a few years, she catches wind of Zira's plot to overthrow Simba and wants to put a stop to it.
Ms. Hades and Hercules
Aunt and nephew relationship. She'd be reluctant at first to get close to him, but she can't resist his compassionate nature and would give him advice when she could.
I could see her looking after him in secret on earth without Hades knowing. She, alongside Phil, would train him. And MH would have inside knowledge on Hades' plans.
Veil and Quasimodo
In a perfect world where these two weren't manipulated by a horrid man who dared to call himself an archdeacon, they would see each other as siblings.
In the true world, however, if Veil was in the picture, she wouldn't hate Quasimodo, but she would ignore him. The bell ringer himself would be the only one to think of himself and Veil as siblings.
After Frollo dies, they both talk about their experiences and slowly work their way towards a brother - and sister-esque relationship.
Lady Hock, Peter Pan, and Wendy
If Hock was on the winning side, she'd be the best older sister/cool aunt towards Peter, Wendy, and the Lost Boys.
She would be protective of them, read them stories, help Wendy keep her sanity every time she visited, and even take care of Jane.
Faja, Aladdin, and Jazmine
Again, speaking in this hypothetical perfect world, Aladdin, Faja, and Abu would have been best friends. Maybe even siblings.
Faja would have been far away from Jafar's influence and twisted mind games. Her fiestiness and insecurity would still be there, but her trust and security with Aladdin and Abu would overcome her fear.
She'd probably still want to learn magic, but she'd learn on her own terms.
However, in the true movie-verse, she would need to get over her misguided hatred towards Aladdin. He has everything a street rat like her could ever want, of course that would spawn jealousy.
In the end, she would team up with Aladdin in the "Jafar Returns" movie and later become the royal magician after Faja works on herself.

Sleeping Beauty Spring: "The Sleeping Princess" (1939 Walter Lantz cartoon)
Tumblr media
This 9-minute Technicolor "fractured fairy tale" was produced by Walter Lantz, the creator of Woody Woodpecker. It comes from a series titled Nertsery Rhymes ("nerts" being an old slang word for "crazy"), which seems to consist of just two cartoons, this one and a version of Jack and the Beanstalk. As Sleeping Beauty adaptations go, it's far from high art, but but it does have silly charm.
At the beginning, we meet four fairies who live together in the clouds above a rainbow: the Fairies of Wealth, Beauty, Wisdom, and Destiny. "They were all very beautiful... twenty years ago," says the narrator; now they're aging, rubber-limbed, bulbous-nosed goofballs. But they still share a happy life of music and dancing. That is, until the little princess is born in the kingdom below, and when the mailman delivers the fairies' invitations to the castle, Destiny's invitation accidentally slips under the rug by the door, without anyone noticing. Thinking she wasn't invited, Destiny is outraged. So after the other fairies give the Princess their gifts of wealth, beauty, and wisdom (instantly draping her cradle in silk and pearls, changing her from an ugly baby into a cute one, and making her able to talk at one day old), she curses the girl to prick her finger on her fifteenth birthday and fall asleep for a hundred years.
Fifteen years later, the big-eyed, noodle-limbed Princess finds Destiny disguised as an old woman with a spinning wheel. At first her response to the offer to try spinning is a flighty "I don't wanna." But when Destiny begs enough, and shows her the book of Sleeping Beauty that outlines what she has to do, she finally pricks her finger and plops onto a bed, telling the audience "Come back in a hundred years, folks, and see me wake up!"
One day, a hundred years later, the fairies finally discover Destiny's invitation under the rug. Destiny is more amused than remorseful for what she did, but she still resolves to set things right, and makes a magic wish to send the nearest prince to the castle to break the spell with a kiss. Unfortunately, the Prince (voiced by an uncredited Mel Blanc) is a scrawny, clumsy, giggling idiot who makes Disney's Goofy look dignified, and is overcome with shyness and hiccups when he arrives in the Princess's tower. But Destiny's magic transforms him into a "handsome" parody of a swashbuckling matinee idol, in the vein of Douglas Fairbanks or Errol Flynn. His kiss then wakes the Princess, who is thrilled by the sight of him and dips him onto his back for a wild make-out session. Destiny can't quite tell the audience that they lived "happily ever after," though, because she finds that she's caught the Prince's hiccups.
To say that this cartoon doesn't take itself seriously is the understatement of the year. It's a "fractured fairy tale" par excellence. But its goofiness is charming, and it includes plenty of clever, funny details throughout. One standout scene comes near the beginning, when the fairies slide down their rainbow, landing in a giant pot of gold, and then attend the celebration at the castle, which resembles a movie premiere with a marquis advertising the "First Showing of the New Princess." The colorful, rubbery animation isn't beautiful by any means, but it suits the silly tone, and the lively music by Frank Marsales (who also scored many early Warner Bros. cartoons, including the first Loony Tunes short, Sinkin' in the Bathtub) perfectly suits the visuals.
This cartoon is far from a definitive version of Sleeping Beauty, nor does it try to be one. But if you like the concept of a gleeful comedy version of the tale, in the unique madcap style of a 1930s cartoon short, then this is a must-see for you!

What?! That’s crazy! Now that’s one human I’m staying away from…whenever I get to the above world. @sweeneytodddemonbarber @iloveyoutoinfinity @littlerani @ebbyscrooge

It has come to My attention that there is some confusion about this whole situation. Let Me make things quite clear. On the case of Trump’s indictment, Marjorie Taylor Green said she likened Donald Trump to Me, and to Nelson Mandela. TRUMP IS THE POLAR OPPOSITE OF ME.

Now, do I still love him? Yes. Will I forgive him? Yes. Whether or not he gets to the Kingdom of Heaven will be decided by Me.

Teach Me: First Comes Love…
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Urban took photos as he watched Jack work and nodded his head to whatever beat he was playing in his head but he couldn’t help but notice the bulge in his pocket.
With a knowing grin, he nudged Jack and raised an eyebrow. “So, buddy, when are you gonna pop the question?”
Jack sighed, his shoulders slumping as he leaned back in his chair. “I’ve been trying, Urb. But every time I muster up the courage, something goes wrong, and the moment is ruined.”
Urban chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. “You? Mr. Cool and Collected? I find that hard to believe!”
Jack rolled his eyes playfully, and thought about all the times he tried to propose to Ariel.
Jack had a meeting in New York and since it was spring break they decided to turn it into a weekend trip. Jayla was a couple feet in front of them as they strolled through Central Park. His heart was pounding in his chest as he reached in his pocket to make sure the velvet box that seemed to be glued to his pocket was still there.
“Ariel, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you…”
But just as he was about to pop the question, a small brown puppy ran towards Jayla, startling Ariel. “Did you see that?!” she exclaimed, completely oblivious to Jack’s intentions. She skipped over to Jayla who was now playing with the dog in the grass.
Not being a big fan of dogs, Jack signed and he tucked the ring back into his pocket, saving it for another time.
Ariel gasped in delight, bending down to pet the adorable pup. “Oh my goodness, look at this little baby!”
“She’s so cute! I wonder where she came from.” Jayla laughed as the puppy licked her face. “Can we keep her, Mom? Please?”
Ariel knew how Jack felt about dogs or pets in general but the way the puppy cuddled closer to them, eyes wide and hopeful she couldn’t leave them there sad and alone at the park.
When she looked up at Jack, all he could do was sigh and give a slight nod. He would never hear the end of it if he said no.
“I think we just found our newest family member,” Ariel said with a smile.
“Oh so that’s how you guys found Princess Lou Lou!” Urban remarked as Jack finished the story and right on que, Lou Lou scratched at Jack’s legs wanting to be picked up.
Jack reached down and grabbed her, giving her a kiss in the head. “Yes, she’s been a cock blocker since day one!”
He reached in his pocket and pulled out the ring once more. “Just last week I tried to ask her during date night and the waitress interrupted us.”
Urban laughed a little. “Only you, man. But hey, third time’s the charm, right?”!
Despite his frustration, Jack couldn’t help but chuckle at the craziness of it all. “Let’s hope so, Urb. Let’s hope so.”
***
Later that night as Jack laid beside Ariel in bed, the bedside lamp casted a warm light over her face. Jack couldn’t help but marvel over her beauty. She looked so beautiful, just as she did the day they met. Ariel laid there with no makeup on, her dorky reading glasses perched on her nose as she skimmed through the pages of the book.
Jack reached out to gently brush a stray strand of hair from her face, his fingers lingering on her cheek. “You look beautiful, Ariel,” he whispered, his voice filled with awe.
Ariel looked up from her book, a smile spreading across her face at her words. “Really?” She asked, Jack’s words never failed to make her face warm.
He nodded, his heart swelling with love. “Absolutely. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known, especially with those dorky reading glasses.”
Ariel laughed and grabbed the extra pillow of the bed and swatted him with it, Jack dodged out the way just in time.
“Well, thank you, I think,” she teased, playfully nudging him with her elbow, and picked up her book again to finish reading.
Jack continued to stare as she read and he realized just how lucky he was that she came into his and Jayla’s life. Despite the ring being hidden in the sock drawer, he could still feel its presence in his thoughts.
Ariel was his soulmate, his partner in life, his one true love and he couldn’t wait any longer to ask her to be his wife.
Without a formal plan or the ring in hand, Jack blurted out the words that had been weighing on his heart for months. “Ariel, I love you. Will you marry me?”
Ariel froze in place, eyes widened as she looked up from her book and towards Jack. “Jack, are you being serious?”
He nodded nervously, unable to tear his gaze away from her. “Completely serious. I’ve been carrying this ring around for months, waiting for the perfect moment. But tonight, right now, with you looking at me like that… This is the perfect moment.”
Tears welled up in Ariel’s eyes before she tossed her book aside and threw her arms around Jack nodding vigorously. “Yes yes yes! I’ll marry you!!”
Jack couldn’t contain his happiness, and held her as if he never wanted to let go. He pulled back slightly cupping Ariel’s face in his hands, and gazed into her eyes, his heart bursting with love.
“I love you,” he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity and passion. “I love you more than words can express, Ariel. You mean everything to me. You’ve changed my life.”
He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers, savoring the moment.
***
Ariel stirred awake, and felt a weight on her hand. When she opened her eyes she gasped at the beautiful ring, Jack must’ve slipped it on in the middle of the night.
Unable to contain her excitement, she gently shook Jack awake. “Jack.” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion, “I still can’t believe it. This ring is gorgeous!”
Jack blinked sleepily, a smile spreading across his face as he realized what she was talking about. “Believe it, Ariel. You’re going to be my wife.”
A surge of happiness washed over Ariel as she leaned in to kiss him. “I don’t want a huge wedding, Jack. I just want to be married to you already.”
His eyes sparkled with excitement as he sat up, his mind racing with possibilities. “Well, why wait? Should we get dressed and wake Jayla up and head to the courthouse today?”
Ariel’s heart skipped a beat at the suggestion, eyes lighting up immediately. “Yes, let’s do it!”
They both leaped out of bed, the room buzzing with excitement. Just as Ariel was about to step into the bathroom, Jack stopped her from the bedroom door.
He turned to her, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Should we call Urban?” he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
Ariel’s heart swelled with love for him, knowing how much his best friend meant to him. Despite their decision to just go to the courthouse, she understood that Jack would regret not having Urban by his side on such an important day.
With a gentle smile, she nodded. “Of course, we should. It wouldn’t be the same without him.”
Jack’s face lit up with gratitude as he reached for his phone, dialing his number with eager anticipation. After a few rings, Urban answered, his voice filled with excitement.
“Urban, I need you to meet me at the courthouse in 2 hours!” Jack exclaimed.
“What huh?”
“Ariel and I just got engaged, and we’re planning to tie the knot soon. We’d love for you to be there with us.”
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Urban's voice broke through, filled with emotion. “Are you serious? I wouldn’t miss it for the world, man. I’ll be there.”
As Jack hung up the phone, a sense of relief washed over him knowing that his best friend would be there. He hurries to Jayla’s room to wake her up.
“Daddy, why are you waking me up before 10am on the weekend!” Jayla whined.
All he could do was laugh at his daughter. “If you don’t want to get up, I’ll guess you’ll have to miss mommy and I getting married.” Jack teased playfully.
Jayla stirred from her sleep, blinking her eyes groggily before realizing what her dad had just said. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she shot up in bed, excitement and disbelief washing over her.
“What? Really?” she exclaimed, her voice filled with astonishment.
Jack nodded with a grin, his heart swelling with love for his daughter. “Yep, really. We’re getting married, Jay. And of course we need you there.”
Her face lit up with pure joy as she threw her arms around her dad, a smile stretching from ear to ear. “That’s amazing, Daddy! Of course, I want to be there!”
As Jack left Jayla’s room to start getting ready himself in the guest bedroom he tried his hardest to not get super emotional but he couldn’t help it.
When Alyssa died it had left him feeling broken and empty inside. Jack had never imagined that he would find love again. He had resigned himself to a life of loneliness, believing that his heart could never fully heal from the pain of losing someone he had loved so deeply.
Then Ariel had come into his life, like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds. She had shown him kindness, understanding, and unwavering support during his darkest days, slowly but surely helping to mend the broken pieces of his heart.
She had brought light back into his life, filling his days with laughter, love, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow and now in a couple hours she was going to be his wife. This was going to be the best day of his life.
***
With hearts racing and hands tightly clasped together, Jack, Ariel, Jayla with Urban right behind them rushed into the courthouse, their excitement filled the air. Their steps echoed in the grand hallway as they made their way to the front desk, determined to make their impromptu wedding a reality.
Breathless with anticipation, Jack approached the desk clerk, a wide grin on his face. “We’re here to get married,” he announced proudly, his voice filled with excitement.
The desk clerk looked up from her paperwork, surprised by the sudden burst of enthusiasm. But as she took in the sight of the happy family standing before her, her eyes softened with warmth and understanding.
“Of course,” she said with a smile, her fingers flying across the keyboard to pull up the necessary paperwork. “Do you have your IDs with you?”
Jack nodded eagerly, pulling out his wallet to retrieve his ID, while Ariel did the same. With their IDs in hand, they watched as the clerk processed their information, the anticipation building with each passing second.
Finally, with a flourish of her pen, the clerk handed them the marriage license, “Congratulations,” she said warmly, her eyes shining with genuine happiness for the couple before her.
With their marriage license in hand, Jack and Ariel exchanged excited glances, their hearts overflowing with joy. Hand in hand, they made their way to the courthouse chapel, where they would exchange vows and become husband and wife.
Ariel stood there with her hands shaking nervously as the officiant spoke. She was about to become a Harlow. Her heart overflowing with love and emotion, Ariel took a deep breath, her eyes shining with tears of joy. With trembling hands, she reached out to take Jack’s, her fingers intertwining with his as she began to speak.
“Jack,” she began, her voice soft and filled with sincerity, “from the moment you came into my life, you’ve brought nothing but love, laughter, and endless joy. You’ve shown me what it means to love and be loved unconditionally, and for that, I am eternally grateful.”
Tears welled up in Ariel’s eyes as she continued, her voice filled with emotion. “You’ve been my rock, my partner, and my best friend. You’ve stood by my side through the good times and the bad, supporting me, encouraging me, and believing in me when I needed it most.”
A smile touched Ariel's lips as she looked into Jack’s eyes, her heart overflowing with love. “Today, as I stand before you, I vow to love you with all that I am, to cherish you, to support you, and to be by your side through every twist and turn that life may bring. I promise to laugh with you, to cry with you, and to build a future filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. You are my everything, Jack, and I am so grateful to be able to call you my husband.”
Ariel turned towards Jayla who was standing next to Urban, her heart swelling with love for the girl who had stolen her heart from the very beginning.
“Jayla” she began, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity, “from the moment I met you, you captured my heart in a way I never thought possible.”
Tears welled up in Ariel’s eyes as she continued. “You’ve been my daughter since day one, Jayla. You’ve brought so much light and happiness into my life, and I am grateful for every moment we’ve shared together.”
“I want you to know that I love you with all my heart. I promise to always be there for you, to support you, to encourage you, and to love you unconditionally, just as you have loved me.”
With tears of joy streaming down her cheeks, Ariel pulled Jayla into a tight embrace, holding her close as she whispered, “You are my daughter, Jayla, and I am so grateful to have you in my life. I love you more than words can express, and I promise to be the best mother I can be to you, now and always.”
Jack couldn’t help but join in on the hug, forever grateful for his tiny family. He gave them both kisses on the forehead before pulling away so he could say his vows.
Taking a deep breath to steady his nerves, he cleared his throat before beginning his vows.
“Ariel,” he started, his voice warm and filled with affection, “from the moment I met you, I knew my life would never be the same. You’ve brought so much love, light, and laughter into my life, and I am eternally grateful for every moment we’ve shared together.”
A grin spread across Jack’s face as he continued, unable to contain his playful spirit. “Now, I have to admit, I don’t know how I’m going to top your vows, Ariel. They were so heartfelt, I’m not sure I can compete!”
Ariel, along with Jayla and Urban’s laughter filled the room as Jack paused for a moment, enjoying the light-hearted moment with his bride-to-be.
“But seriously, Ariel, today I stand before you with all the love in my heart. I promise to cherish you, to support you, and to stand by your side through every moment, big or small. I vow to be your partner, your confidant, and your biggest cheerleader, cheering you on in all your dreams.”
Jack reached up to wipe the tears that had fallen from Ariel’s eyes and gave her a smile. “I am honored to become your husband, I want to spend the rest of my days making you as happy as you have made me. I love you more than words can express, and I am grateful every day for the love and joy you bring into my life.”
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss—“
Jack, not being able to wait, grabbed Ariel pulling her closer and leaned in, pressing his lips eagerly against her own.
Jayla and Urban cheered as Jack and Ariel had their first kiss as husband and wife.
***
After the whirlwind of emotions and celebrations, Jack, Ariel, Jayla and Urban found themselves at home, gathered around the kitchen table. They placed a store-bought cake in the center of the table, without any formalities or fuss, they grabbed forks and began to dig in, savoring each bite of the cake.
Jack leaned in close to Ariel, his voice soft as he whispered, “I can’t believe today happened. I’m the luckiest man in the world to have you as my wife.”
Ariel’s eyes sparkled with happiness as she whispered back, “And I’m the luckiest woman to have you as my husband. Today was perfect, Jack. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Jack glanced at Ariel, a playful twinkle in his eye as he whispered, “When should we tell our families?”
Ariel chuckled softly, her heart warmed by the thought of sharing their joy with their loved ones. “I think we should tell them soon,” she replied, her voice filled with excitement. “Maggie has been pretty much begging you to marry me since we’ve met.”
He nodded in agreement, a smile spreading across his face. “I can’t wait to see the looks on her face when we tell her,” he said, his anticipation growing with each passing moment.
As Ariel rested her head on Jack’s shoulder, a contented sigh escaped her lips. “I’m just so happy,” she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
Jack wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close as he pressed a tender kiss to her forehead. “I am too,” he murmured, his voice soft with love. “Today has been everything I ever dreamed of and more.”

The Floating Palace.... I really loved this episode. But there are some things I really don't like.
What I like...
ARIEL IS IN IT!!! As my favorite Disney Princess, and my favorite Disney character overall, it was thrilling to see her.
MERMAIDS! I love mermaids, so that's a plus. And Sofia turning into one was totally awesome.
I like that it was the family's first vacation. (Summer between Halloween and Wassailia? Okay then...)
The thing with Clover and the sea gull was hilarious! Especially when they got tied up. LOL! Gotta love those two.
Cedric's line, "I need a vacation." It's his own fault he ruined the vacation he was on. LOL! And he missed the tail. I wish we could have seen when he noticed that. LOL!
Roland finding Queen Emmaline attractive was amusing.
What I don't like...
Cedric. Yes, this is probably the only episode where I don't like him much. For starters, his sea monster from is just ugly. It's not even scary. Honestly! He already has a figuratively big head. Then there's the fact that he let his dark side overtake him. It's one thing to try to steal Sofia's amulet, and it's a whole other thing to purposely aim to make her disappear. That spell must have messed up his humanity, because I don't think Cedric would purposely hurt Sofia. Luckily, the blast from Cora knocked the evil from his system. Thank goodness it was the only time he was that wicked.
The caption of the ship was a jerk
Plank was a stick in the mud.
It's a wonderful episode.

My Revision Of Wish (pt 3): Asha
Welcome back to more of my personal revision of Wish. Today, I will be talking about the main heroine, Asha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Asha is the canon version gets a lot of criticism for being the overused adorkable archetype of Disney heroines and not really much outside of wanting to help her community and her family. So with my version of Asha, I gave her a more rounded character.
Asha is 17 years old, and the biological daughter of King Magnifico and Queen Amaya (who is Afro-Spainard in this version). She's creative, passionately driven, and wise beyond her years, perhaps more mature than most teens her age. She's an eternal optimist with a sharp wit, but she feels held back by her own parents.
Asha struggles with poor leadership skills, not just as a princess, but also to her team of her friends. She tries too hard to focus on being a better future queen, instead of embracing her teenage youth, the same way Tiana focused too hard on getting her restaurant instead of taking time to relax. She also believes that everyone's wish should be granted, but this poor girl's gonna learn the hard way later on in the story...
Her parents once told her that the stars were always there to guide everyone, but to them, it's treated more like a children's story than the actual truth. She still believes that she can ask the stars for hope and guidance whenever she feels stressed out or hopeless.
King Magnifico: Asha, what are you doing this late at night? Asha: I was just asking the stars for my birthday wish tomorrow. King Magnifico: Come on, don't you think you're a little too old to be wishing on stars?
She once believed that her parents were "life savers" for using their magic to grant people's wishes, and encapsulate them in floating wish orbs. The citizens won't forget their wish once they give them to the King and Queen, but they're still hopelessly waiting for their wishes to granted, prompting Asha to rebel against their dark secret.
Secretly, the King and Queen crush their wishes to make their sorcerer magic stronger and more powerful. Desperate to help the townspeople and feeling unable to retrieve the wishes back to them, Asha makes a desperate plea to the stars, and that plea gives birth to Orion, her soon-to-be guardian and love interest.
With Orion, Asha takes on the responsibility of being his human consciencce, the Jiminy Cricket to his Pinocchio, but she always finds Orion to be amusing and full of joy, no matter how many times she scolds him or teaches him about right or wrong. With Orion's help, she goes out to grant wishes in town with Orion's magic, but the wishes turn out to do more harm than good, and she begins to realize why most wishes shouldn't come true. Asha still feels insecure about being the future queen of Rosas, but she receives endless support and couragement from her friends and from Orion.
After defeating the King and Queen, Orion grants her the title of an honorary Blue Fairy who grants the wishes of the townspeople with her wand. While she admits that she still doesn't know how to be the best possible ruler, she promises to use her magic to grant good wishes, instead of all wishes.
Some of the Disney Princesses she shares similarities with are Aurora, Tiana, Rapunzel, Ariel and Belle. Her bedroom looks similar to the interior of Rapunzel's tower, but instead of the floating lanterns, it's a giant carvas of the Wishing Tree and a night sky with stars, and we get to see Asha create animations with her flipbook like in a very brief scene in the canon film.
While I did find her canon version to be adorable and funny, I recommend that we tone down her adorkable qualities, and make her a more shy and timid princess who mostly keeps to herself. She develops from a shy, reserved girl to a courageous, risk-taking woman who begins to understand which wishes deserved to be granted. Her emotional hook is that she's too scared to talk back to her parents and she lets herself be controlled by the King and Queen instead of demanding what she wants for herself and Rosas, but with Orion to guide her on her journey, she begins to let go of her fear and take a major risk to protect her kingdom.
Thanks for reading, I hope you've enjoyed my own revision of Asha's charater. I hope to expand on Orion and the King and Queen in the future. Goodnight Kingdom of Rosas!

🍍🏰👑🌭 :)
thank you for the ask <3
🍍 Does pineapple belong on pizza?
sometimes, yeah.
🏰 Have you ever been to any of the Disney Parks? Was it ever something you wished to do?
yes. i've been to disney world i think 4 times? and i went on a disney cruise, which was really fun. i'd like to go again or go to disneyland. i'm not especially into disney itself, but i love amusement parks in general.
👑 Favorite princess?
honestly i don't really have one? i love the princess bride, but buttercup isn't really a princess. i liked ariel and melody a lot as a kid. i like mulan a lot. and pocahontas, despite, you know, the plot. i like elsa and anna. and rapunzel. and moana. oh, and jasmine is pretty cool. this is a terrible answer, and i'm probably forgetting someone obvious.
🌭 What is your favorite condiment?
i just went to the wikipedia page for condiments, and i was very upset by what i found. apparently ice cream toppings are considered condiments? don't like that. ignoring that. and peanut butter, which i guess makes sense, but i don't think of it as a condiment. but peanut butter is my favorite food, so i guess that. as for what i would consider condiments, ranch, hot sauce, guacamole, and probably something else i'm forgetting, again.
