I find it so strangely bizarre about so Many Famous Media Comparisons by People, yet, No One else ever seems to compare Jim Henson's "Labyrinth" with George MacDonald's "The Princess and The Goblin", since both plots are quite similar with a Girl whose got an Important Family Member in their Life while also having some Friend(s) behind their back and even Meanwhile, some Guy (whose the Mirror version of Them) is The Ruler of all Goblins.

And I mean, who wouldn't compare those Similar Stories about Humans and Goblins in General, am I right?

Because I never really grew up realizing on how that Sarah and Jareth

Almost look identical to Irene and Froglip/Harelip.

Yesterday I finally watched the movie that inspired me to write the retelling of the fairytale: The Princess and The Goblin... Here's my honest rating for the movie about 7/10. There are some things that I'd change, but overall, a nice and okay movie, Froglip's the best part of the movie, a typical villain but I'd like to see more screen time with him and the goblins, but that's personally me. Good thing I learned some things from the movie I didn't know about since I'm writing the retelling of the fairytale!

I'm currently writing a retelling of the fairytale of "The Princess and The Goblin",

It's called "The Goblin Prince and The Princess" and it's about a goblin prince named Snakelip Froglock, the youngest child of what was once a trio of brothers, whose two brothers; Harelip and Froglip died untimely deaths due to their stubbornness and other such, now anxious of what his fate may bring, while at the same time; a human princess has convinced her parents that to bring peace between their kingdom's rivalry, she'll have to marry the goblin prince, Snakelip. Basically a story about romance and loss of family, all that stuff respun in a retelling of "The Princess and The Goblin" by George MacDonald.

Trying to figure out their size differences was a little difficult since it sort of looked wrong. Irene is 8 and Curdie is 12, so the adult guard is there to show just how small they actually are.
