THE FLOW is the second book in the continuing collaboration between Juergen Teller and Nicolas Guesquière, artistic director of Louis Vuitton. On 1 October 2014 Teller photographed Ghesquière’s Spring-Summer 2015 collection for the house, and the resulting book is a fluid mix of fashion photos in Teller’s inimitable guileless style and images of Paris shot while boating down the Seine. This combination of portraiture, still-life and landscape photography mirrors the eclectic influences and materials which Ghesquière synthesizes in his collections—a bold, unconventional flow whereby innovation unceasingly rejuvenates tradition.

Finally managed to get my Inktober Rite of Spring drawings all scanned !

These drawings are based on still or video images of the Pina Bausch choreographed ballet Le Sacre du Primtemps. I have tried to capture the amazing, visceral dancing and the sense of Stravinsky's remarkable score.

Snippets of Rite of Spring - Inktober 2022

I am using film and still images of the Pina Bausch choreographed Rite of Spring / Le Sacre du Primtemps as my Inktober inspiration this year. I am trying to capture the frenetic, doomed energy of the dance and the angular Stravinsky music.

As I draw the images I notice the pain and torment in the dancers faces. They are "in" the ritual. This is not acting in the normal sense. When I have see ln Sacre you can feel this energy and agony from the audience. You join in. The genius of Bausch and Stravinsky is that they can not just project these primordial feelings but make you part of it.

I am using pen and ink, screentone, charcoal and copics here and there.

Dimanche 18 juin 2024, 18h se déroulait la corrida des fêtes patronales d’Aire sur l’Adour (landes). Pour l’occasion, les arènes affichaient ¾ de présence dans les gradins avec un temps digne du primtemps. Le lot de toros s’est révélé décevant et très juste de présentation dans l’ensemble.
