#all the care guide says is 'biomass'#primarily talking about this in a worldbuilding perspective rn#where it irritates me a lot#when people treat the world being created being flawed or messy or ugly or hypocritical as like. a sign of the worldbuilding being bad.#like. no. this is ultimately why i hate a lot of wish fulfillment media.#because i dont want my fictional worlds to be perfect and exactly what id want and where i want to live#i want them to feel lived in#which is an entirely different metric#and too many wish fulfillment media feels so divorced from life and the ordeals of life that it makes me panic#and think far too much about for whom this would be a hell onto itself that they would never touch#and it feels far more sincere and Accurate when you acknowledge that. yeah. those people do and will always exist#and god knows ive been them plenty of times before#it feels better when the world is already flawed in the ways that everything is already flawed
