No one asked for this, but I wanted to share my playlist for Staring Down the Sun. 🌞

Each chapter title is a lyric or song title pulled from these songs that helped drive the story from my brain and into words (and illustrations!).

My biggest inspiration came from the final song, "Blinded" by Third Eye Blind. I have long been obsessed with that song, and really wanted to write some sort of love story because of it. And since I reconnected with my love for Connor MacManus, I figured why not! And that's how this whole mess came to be.
