ABSOLUTELY! Decided to throw in everyone from god games as well as Hades, so this got a lil longer than expected lol. I always love doing these, & the gods are such fun characters that I’m dying to see more of! & of course I bully my faves

& Hermes is so iconic, I love his shrill cackle, that man loves a good laugh & never really holds back!

We also kinda got a canon laugh from Calypso when she giggles right after saying goddesses can’t die. I think she has a very light & airy laugh, almost like the twinkling of a bell. Very cute & feminine

Likewise, we heard a bit of what Aeolus sounds like, but that’s more of a snide, condescending laugh that she likes to use when toying with someone. Her more genuine laugh is higher pitched & more of a giggle

For everyone else, I’m going off of pure vibes

I think Athena tries not to laugh because she has a badass image to maintain, & tbh most of the other gods aren’t that funny, or at least they don’t appeal to her sense of humor. She likes more clever & dry witty comedy, which is probably why Ody’s jokes work well on her. He likes to use a lot of fun word play & his timing & physical comedy is just perfect, & catches her off guard enough to draw out a real laugh. She laughs with her full chest, it’s loud & is honestly such a bright, happy sound, probably because it’s so rare to hear. Much to her chagrin, she snorts when she laughs hard enough. When she’s trying to mask her laugh it gets quicker & higher pitched, & she usually tries to muffle it behind her hand

Apollo’s laugh is pretty similar to Hermes, but it’s a bit deeper & not as erratic & sounds like he has more control over his voice. Idk it probably sounds so pretty & smooth, almost like his laugh alone is a song & more than a few gods accuse him of faking it because it just sounds a lil too “perfect.” If you really get him going tho it does tend to take on a more unhinged & frantic pitch, & it gets real hard to tell the difference between the 2

I just know Hephaestus has a really deep & rich laugh, but he doesn’t laugh often. He’s pretty serious & he doesn’t always get every joke tossed his way, but when he does, it’s this really deep, amused chuckle that slowly gets louder the longer he laughs

Aphrodite has the prettiest laugh, it’s not as high pitched as you’d expect from her & almost has a purr to it, but that could just be her infectious, bubbly giggles

So uh, I love Ares way more than I was expecting to from his part in gg & I’m gonna simp for a sec cause I can. But Ares actually loves to have a good time & let loose! His version of that may look a lil more bloody, but he still enjoys a good time! He can still laugh & tell jokes! So I think he wouldn’t bother holding back & just belts out this deep belly laugh that can make you jump if you’re not expecting it. Funnily enough, I think he also would snort a lot when laughing, so maybe it’s a war god thing lmaoooo. He’s also prone to laugh when he’s sparring or in the middle of a fight, & that’s more of a different sound. He gets this crazed look in his eye & his laugh raises an octave & gets a lil faster until it’s this really menacing, crazed cackling that is just as scary as it is endearing

Hera doesn’t laugh as much as she used to, but when she does, it’s this sly sounding, amused chuckle. Even when she’s being sincere, it lowkey sounds like she’s making fun of you. If something actually gets her going, she’ll throw her head back & her laugh actually sounds authentic, but it still has a more smooth, controlled tone much like Apollo

Now for the big 3

Hades doesn’t laugh much, obvi, but when he does, it’s this really low rumbling from deep within his chest, & you don’t really think he’s laughing until you see his shoulders shaking & notice the smile beneath his beard. But it something’s legit funny, he’ll let out this hearty laugh & lean back & will either hug his stomach or slap a knee

Oh Poseidon, you’re gonna fucking hate me for this. But he usually has this calm, really snide snicker/chuckle he does when he’s mocking someone which is like all the time. It’s such a smug sound you just want to slap the shit outta him because it’s so obvious he’s laughing at YOU! But his real laugh has a rich tenor to it, & is way louder than he’d like. & if something really gets him laughing, it starts to get higher pitched before it starts to morph into more of a bubbly, gurgling sound until it sounds like he’s laughing underwater

It’s no surprise that the thunder bringer himself has a downright booming laugh that can shake the heavens themselves if he really lets himself go, but much like his bitch of a brother, he only really does that if he’s laughing at someone. Otherwise, it’s still really deep & loud, it just doesn’t have as much bass to it. If you listen for it, you can hear claps of thunder when he lets out unbridled belly laughs, & when he’s just chuckling you can hear a buzzing static sound like lightning

oh god pretty much everything i write has a happy ending?? if i’m being serious?? frankly i don’t do a lot of linear plot. i just write Scenes that are vaguely connected. BUT my h2o fic had a plot that ended happily, as did my cowboy fic, but truly i’m more of a slice of life kinda gal. all my active wips are plot-driven, though, and i plan for all of them to end happily.

The way I'm thinking about the bg3 story, both Rosio and Lucis were simultaneously completing parts of the quests, adventuring with only half of the companions, never running into each other (maybe at the end.. big avengers assemble moment.. except it's your ex that kinda ruined your life.. a classic), so from the pool of companions Rosio knows very well - Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Astarion, Jaheira and Halsin - he basically trusts Jaheira the most and almost instantly lol. She reminds him too much of his mother 🥲 Halsin is probably right there with her, he's the main voice of reason, Rosio trusts him to not let him and Astarion die during their gremlin shenanigans 😭 He kinda trusts Lae'zel and Shadowheart too, but only after their "fuck our goddesses" phase, he doesn't generally trust people too attached to their gods.

Funnily enough it took him the longest to trust Astarion 💀 Rosio was convinced he was the object of his manipulation basically till the "I love you" moment (and even more funnily enough, Rosio was willingly subjecting himself to that manipulation, being the self sabotaging, masochistic idiot that he is).

Hmm, my fav character from House of the Dragon. I find all the characters so incredibly complex and layered that I actually love them all so much. I think my all-time favourite is definitely Rhaenyra. She is just so fascinating and she's been through so much and I just adore her with all my heart. Like I'm aware she's not perfect and that she does questionable things in both the books and show but I just love her so much lol. I support women's rights, but most of all I support women's wrongs, and Imma support ALL that woman's wrongs 🤭🤭

I also find Alicent so fascinating. Young show Alicent is so young and she goes through so so much and my heart aches for her, and even though I don't love all the choices adult Alicent makes, I can't hate her either because she is just a product of her environment and an accumulation of her tragic experiences. It makes sense for her to be the way she is and honestly, I can understand her resentment for Rhaenyra. I mean if I went through what she did, and then I see someone I grew up with get to do whatever she wants without consequences while I have to put up with my shitty 100+ yr old rotting husband while she has like 2 of the hottest dudes in the kingdom, I'd be pretty jealous and resentful too. So yea I just find her so fascinating and I love doing like character analyses on her.

Honourable mentions go to Harwin, we love a king who supports his princess without wanting anything for it. The parallels he draws with Ser Criston Cole (I rlly hate him lol) are so immaculate. Crispy Cole has a huge hissy fit when Rhaenyra doesn't drop the crown and goes to sell oranges with him or something, while Harwin is perfectly content being her side piece. But like on a serious note, his love for Rhaenyra is enough for him and he doesn't need to be formally acknowledged as his boys' father or Rhaenyra's baby daddy. He is just content with the little pieces of her that he gets to have and I think its so tragically beautiful. Nop, never really was my thing. I used to play on showdown, sure, but it'd usually be random battles or hackmons. Actual competitive play stressed me out a bit too much, and I had a really terrible experience when i tried getting into it a bit more by applying for a spot as a leader for an online league, so I've just never bothered since.

Shoutout to Bibs for being a homie w/ hackmons/random battles tho. that shit was fun and i miss it sometimes

For the drama bit, I'll just put it under the cut bc no one really needs to see a wall of text ab me getting salty about it again but wow i sure still think about it sometimes. this was all skype era shit btw, but it's arguably one of the very few things that literally had me seething, which is why I've never bothered with anything comp related since

Funnily enough, the drama wasn't even related to the actual competitive aspect of the whole league that I was supposed to be a part of -- it was bc someone on the league's board committee was awfully petty and two-faced LOL… All bc they didn't like I was potentially going to overshadow their work.

I actually knew them well before this. They were pretty friendly towards me at first, and they initially approached me because wanted to learn how to do pixel art better, so I taught them! They acted really grateful when I gave them advice, and hell, they even did some sprites for Rejuvenation at the time as it was at a time that I was extremely busy with school.

Now fast forward a bit, and a group of ppl from the same community set up an online Showdown league, with leaders for each type. That person was on the board committee, but some other members of the board committee were going behind their back in order to actually recruit me for the league as a leader. I passed the tryouts, and got into the group.

Kicker is, the reason why they went behind the person's back, is bc apparently That Person(TM) was absolutely adamant about not wanting me on the team!

The reason for that?

They didn't want me there so I couldn't get a chance to do any art for the league, because they were afraid they'd get overshadowed by me.

This sounds like bragging, and god i fucking WISH I was kidding in that regard, but I'm completely serious 💀 Apparently ANOTHER league wanted my assistance for sprites, but because That Person(TM) was already on the team, they started throwing a shitfit about how they absolutely could NOT work together with me without wanting to give a real reason, they just kept insisting that they absolutely couldn't. The chatlogs of these moments were sent to me after a group of ppl who were getting aggression aimed at them from the person.

I kinda pieced things together because they were sucking up to me for art advice until they learned what they needed, then I lost contact with them until I got drafted for the league, after which they just... Wanted to chew me out instead, lol. despite never having done anything to prompt such hatred. all i did was help and be nice. and after seeing the logs it kinda clicked in my head that that's what was going on.

i had a whole document of bullshit that this person pulled. i still actually have it somewhere, and frankly i probably should just delete it at some point bc it has no use and i haven't seen this person around in a long time bc they basically got chased out of the community for being a shithead. in my defense for that document though, the fact that a person drove me to get so mad that i started collecting receipts on them kinda tells how hurt i got about this whole situation. to say they were an awful person not only just to me but to a lot of my friends as well is an understatement

Why would you tell your partner that you met someone that made you feels things? 💀 I mean maybe that’s what you’re into but if we’re talking about committed monogamous relationships I find it weird that you would tell your partner about every person you met during the day and felt like fucking. If I was in the situation where my partner would treat me like that I would dead ass ghost them, not even break up just cut off all contact because I would think they’re playing with me/trying to emotionally abuse me. The way you see things is interesting.

i didnt say id tell my partner about every person i felt like fucking. im pretty sure i already said lust couldnt hold a candle to the kind of love i like to experience in my partnerships. what i did say is that id tell them if there was someone else i could see myself developing a connection with thats as serious as what i share with them. as thats something that almost never happens to me, it would be significant enough for me to bring it up. im not just trying to torture them with unnecessary information / by playing mind games. its possible to communicate with compassion, maturity and still be 100% transparent. — im also a completely different person to you and like being able to be transparent with my partner. id be put off by someone who cant make room for my truth because they cant see past what they want and how it offends them. — thats literally the beauty of the world tho. different people desire different dynamics & there are people out there who will match u, and people that will match me. full stop.

i genuinely see love as part of a human experience & self expression. i would never try to limit my own, or someone elses experience, or cull how they express themselves with ultimatums. if somethings become unhealthy or malicious thats a completely different topic. but thats not what i was referring to. so yh. i dont think i have anything original to say on this anymore so ima leave it here. but love <3

see I finally GET IT now tho because I’ve been genuinely confused for the last year or so as to why they’re growing stronger yk rather than weaker. Couples on popular shows/projects get shipped, if they market the friendship (they did) even more so, if they’re irl friends (even even more so) but like usually unless people become tinhats when it’s pretty clear nothing’s going on, they move on?

idk a good example I can think of is Kate and Leo who legit are very close friends and like if they were ever to get together that’d make a lot of people very very happy and whenever they mention each other or do something together people do go “🥹🥹” but not in like any serious way and it certainly doesn’t get stronger year on year (and never has??? And it’s not just because Kate’s too old for him lol like it’s just because they’re pretty obviously just very close friends)?

but what I hadn’t factored in is that Marianne and Connell keep dating other people and being “just best friends” while harboring sekrit feelz and so that entire storyline, which people love, can be projected onto Paul and Daisy. And that’s WHY these shippers keep growing in numbers and strength and shit. I legit finally understand. And it’s all like mirroring the storyline yk with Paul being with Phoebe who’s “cooler” than Daisy so she’s like the Rachel right and the Met was Connell and Rachel at the Debs and poor Daisy as Marianne and now Gracie is Helen lol and they’re just not able to separate the story from like two people who are… literally just friends lmao like they’ve been single at the same time as each other now, they know everyone would be thrilled for them, they just legit don’t want to and don’t feel that way about each other 😂💀💀
