I have seen and heard some of Mineta’s more distasteful commentary during high-pressure testing, and embarrassingly enough during the Sports Festival, but this sounds considerably more serious. His poor attitude towards feminine-presenting individuals has already been noted, but if he has moved beyond mere words, I would like to be made aware of what is going on. Especially if this is occurring outside of class.

Oh my GODS thank you so much for this! The cast was magnificent and their passion just shone through! You could just TELL how much they wanted to do this, how much their love it by their faces, oh those amazing, blushing, SO joyous faces… How much of their characters they were…! Enjolras is exactly like I imagine a modern day E to be… Valjean just BROKE me and oh sweet lord the actress playing Eponine was just blushing and in tears and it was BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU!!

aaah you're very welcome! I just went and searched on Youtube, though ( I am looking for this ONE backstage video and cannot find it aaagh) . But WEREN'T THEY AMAZING?? Just an utterly magic cast, I love everyone's delivery and presence and EVERYTHING (and I suspect Daniel Diges will be "my" Enjolras forever, because WOW). SUCH A GREAT SHOW, it gets me ramped up and breaks my heart at once, I'm so glad other people love it too!

sure. :) basically it’s a sad long distance au. cutting for length.

so picture this. courf and ferre are very happy together. very in love, they’ve been together for (idk) a year and have been friends for much, much longer. now, they live in a certain country. let’s say france. ferre gets an amazing job offer, like a straight up dream job offer, in another country. let’s say the US because why not. and, well. 

they love each other, but there’s no way ferre can give up his dream job to stay with courf and not regret it for the rest of his life, wondering what would happen if he had gone for it. they love each other, but there’s no way courf can give up what he’s doing, which is his dream, and move to a country so far away from his family and friends and everything he knows and wants. they’re still young, you know? they’re not ready to prioritize someone else over their dreams. it’s hard and scary. they love each other, but how is long distance supposed to work if they don’t have a plan? if ferre can’t say whether he’ll work there for three years or five years or forever? if ferre can’t say whether he’ll move back to france or his work will take him somewhere ever farther away? if courf can’t say that he’ll want to move to the US eventually? they love each other, but how can they stay together if they don’t know that they can ever be together?

so they break up. it’s mutual, it’s amicable, and it hurts like hell.  (there’s so much crying, don’t even ask.) they stay friends. and it... works. it takes time, but it works. they talk now and then, they stay in each other’s orbits, but they move on because that’s how life works. time goes on whether you want it to or not. don’t get me wrong, they’re still in love when they break up and they’re still in love as time goes on (and honestly they probably openly talk about it, when they do get a chance to talk. very, I still love you, but I mean, we broke up for a reason and that hasn’t gone away.) but they date other people, fall in love with other people, go on with life. (sometimes, though, they’re in the same place at the same time and they’re both single and let me tell you, they definitely hook up and have long sad talks about how good things could be if everything was different). 

years pass, and this cycle of staying in touch with varying degrees of success (sometimes it’s hard), unsuccessfully dating other people, and holding a torch for their lost love continues. and then, this undecided amount of years later, things change. they’re in the same place at the same time and it’s different. maybe fate has aligned and they’re living in the same place again. or maybe they’re just ready to commit, to sacrifice for each other, trade off on prioritizing career opportunities, if that’s what it takes to be together. maybe both. whatever way it happens, they end up back together because that’s where they belong. this may be A Sad but it ends happily.

Anyway, I am just hooked with Encanto and I thought of drawing Mirabel as an abuela (or a tia abuela) herself, some fifty years later (maybe. Idk). Ended up drawing someone who looks like aged-up @prestopenguin , but okay.
