#daithpiercing Just had both ears done by @piercingsbymitchellreilly at Abyss Piercings in SLC for my headaches. The left side was quite pleasant the right side was a little tough but almost instantly after the right was done I felt a huge release of pressure and pain leave. I believe this is going to work. Intracranial Hypertension (IH) is a rare neurological disorder that results in increased cerebrospinal fluid pressure within the skull. Doctors used to call it “Pseudotumor Cerebri” (aka fake tumor), because those with brain tumors also have elevated intracranial pressure—causing the same symptoms and presentation. Life with IH varies greatly from patient to patient, but is a serious condition that can greatly impact quality of life. Having severe headaches, nausea, vertigo, loud ringing in your ears, and even vision loss every single day sounds like a nightmare. But it’s reality for those with Intracranial Hypertension. Not every patient experiences all of these symptoms, but they are all very typical with IH. Some have “good days” and others do not. Many patients are unable to work or go to school because of their health. To put it bluntly—this condition is difficult to live with. Just because you see us smiling, laughing, or out doing something doesn’t always mean we’re feeling better—it means we’re trying to enjoy our lives despite our illness. Treatment options are unfortunately not great. Medication to treat IH is very harsh on the body (particularly your kidneys) and has many undesirable side effects. Those that don’t respond to medication often resort to brain shunt or stent surgeries. Woke up this morning with a massive headache, extreme nausea and light sensitivity.. and it didn't went away all day. So I spent my one day off in bed in a dark room, only left my bed to go have dinner at my moms house. I'm exhausted and I just want to sleep 😴, but the pressure in my head and behind my eyes is almost making it impossible. Even my screen as dark as possible is still to bright. I'm crying in pain right now, wishing I'll fall asleep very soon. I just want this day to be over. I really hoped my neurosurgeon would have mailed me by now, but haven't heard from him yet. I just want to know what his plan is going to be. I am debating with myself wether I should go to the ER for a lumbar puncture to relief the pain for a few hours, or maybe even days if I'm lucky. I have day shift at clinicals tomorrow again and I honestly don't know how I will get though the day. Please head just let me sleep tonight. Can't think straight anymore because of the pain and the pressure been to high.
