guess what you guys… I MET NANA YESTERDAY 😭😭😭 she’s actually the sweetest

I was cosplaying Niners Kira, and before it was even my turn she turned to look at me and went “Niners!!”

She complimented my cosplay so much it instantly made all of the time and effort I put into the costume worth it😭I was also kind of insecure about my nose ridges made of scar wax but one of the first things she pointed out was my nose and said I did a good job which took me out immediately (I went “it was hard!!” and she said “I KNOW”😭)

I brought my copy of her book for her to sign and she was so excited to see I had it (there were so few trekkies at this con it was SHAMEFUL)

one thing about my book tho is the cover got put on upside down… and so before I give it to her to sign I tell her my copy is ✨unique✨ and show her how it’s flipped and she just went :o

then took a video of my book to send her editor😭😭 she was like I need them to know this happened!!

and what I’m still absolutely losing it about is that she asked if she could have the con staff with her take a picture of us on Her phone so she could post it. WHAT. WHATTTTTT NANA VISITOR HAS A PICTURE OF ME ON HER PHONE NOW😭😭😭😭😭😭(she hasn’t posted anything yet and I’m really holding back from obsessively checking) (even if she doesn’t end up posting it I will forever be losing it at the fact she liked my cosplay so much she wanted her own picture)

so basically I will never be normal ever again. nana i love you

I love both of these moments and I think it's such a strong and compelling choice to show us Paul just unabashedly running to hug his mentors with nary an eyeblink from his family or any of the people around who work for House Atreides, people he'd be expected to some day lead (which particularly stands out in the first instance, which is on their formal arrival onto Arrakis!). In a matter of seconds it tells us not only what kind of person Paul is at this point and what these character dynamics are like, but by extension tells us about how his family has raised him and paints a picture of House Atreides.

So, as much as I like fics where Tim tries to give back Robin and return home, imagine for a second a Tim that, in all his feral Honey Badger glory, decides the solution to his insecurity uncertain place in the family upon Jason’s return is to be The One to bring Jason home.

I’m talking, full on 128-stage plan to convince Jason to come home involving inordinate amounts of stalking, safe house booby traps, gaslighting, bribery with books/Alfred’s food/embarrassing Nightwing stories— plus some blackmail pics from Jason’s Robin days as a treat!

All this really just freaks Jason out to the point that he abandons his revenge plans to try and get as far away as possible from the nightmare of a child that keeps popping out of walls and sewer tunnels (Jason’s half sure he’s some kind of elaborate hallucination or gremlin creature, but either way— not human).

Eventually, Tim resorts to straight up kidnapping Jason and presenting him to Bruce, looking for all the world like a cat offering a gift to their human. Jason proceeds to rip into Bruce for allowing that Evil Alien Child Thing into the Robin suit with access to gear, explosives, and the batcomputer. Tim stands smugly in the background, sure that his plan to be the Bringer Home of The Lost Son worked, and that his position in the family is secure.

When Jason, Dick, and Bruce finally get an explanation, Bruce sits him down and explains that Tim will always be his son. Tim does not cry while Bruce awkwardly pats his back, shooting panicked glances at Dick, as Jason tries to sneak away.

He is not successful. Despite the reassurances, Tim wraps his body around Jason’s arm or leg whenever he tries to leave. Eventually Jason just gives up and plops down on the nearest surface, ignoring a grinning Dick and happy-but-pretending-to-be-sympathetic Bruce.

I was saddened by Percy's death, obviously, but it didn't hit me overly hard because I was expecting it the entire time I was watching E7. Damn episode is literally called Cloak and Dagger and had all the telltale signs of an impending character death (looking at you, score-less scenes and death-flag dialogue)

But KASHAW? Fucking KASH? They killed HIM off? That was the scene that brought me to tears. What the FUCK do you MEAN the loveable asshole is DEAD? That he got SQUASHED like a BUG by Thordak and joined the Matron's side?

He and Zahra were supposed to have a lovely cameo each season where we got to see their relationship progressing alongside the others! They were meant to end the show happy and healthy, joking with Vex and Vax about how twins run in Zahra's family!

I kinda desperately want Kash to be given a resurrection. Let Vox Machina repay him for his help in bringing Vex back last season! Let Zahra and him build their family together! Let me know some peace!

oh and in case you're curious about what his new body looks like, i managed to remember to take a picture of the sketch before inking! he basically has glamrock freddy's model design, except his legs and feet are more slender so he can be more light on his feet:

also... i did the math (meaning, i eyeballed a height chart with freddy's model and put the numbers in an ellipse calculator i found online)—freddy, and therefore moon here, has a bust size of 179.74 cm or 70.76 inches (almost 5'11" circumference).

writing muse: not thicc enough. the world record for the largest muscular chest is 74 inches!
