so... my interpretation of guide!reader may be vastly different from others but with my vast assimilation of yours and others content, this is my variation of the one I like envisioning involving concepts such as yours (Humans are NOT Hylians and Guide!Reader) so this is my official start to the ramblings *DEEP INHALE*

when I read the post about reader losing their sord and just punching the monsters and it is working along with the other links being amazed

I imagine that because of the fact that hylian's are so light that they didn't put that much into the growth of physical arts

they can punch and kick fine but that's more so used for scraps agents one another, rather than in fights against monsters

hylian's don't have enough strength or weight to have it be worth it on the battlefield

its much more worth their time and energy to learn things like swordsmanship or artery, and be nimble

but guide dose have: the muscle, weight, durability and training necessary for such a strategy to be worth it

It would be more effective for the reader to use the Muay Thai and Taekwondo they worked so hard on instead of learning something new

Birthday Art Analysis Pt 1

Hello hello! Mercury here! Be prepared for a post spam bc I wanted to get these out before trial 2 started and since that’s literally only 24 hours away, I might as well do this at 2 am weeeeeeee! edit: its past 3am as im finishing this up and ive written around 1500 words total, yikes. You can see me start to lose my mind towards the end, very sorry.

Today tonight lmao we’re looking the cakes and flowers on the prisoners’ birthday art bc ya boy loves flower symbolism and such and rating their fits too lol. In case you didn’t notice all of the prisoners (sans Kotoko) have some sort of flower in their art, whether it’s on their person or on the cake. I also looked at the symbolism of each of the flowers too and quite a few of them were eerily fitting for the characters. I originally did this research a few months ago and presented it to the other admins, shoutout to Pluto who helped me with quite a few of the flowers.

First on our list is Haruka!

Overall outfit rating: He’s just a little guy!!/10 Love the bow tie

The main thing to notice is the bunny cookies on the bottom left of the cake. Particularly, the left cookie looks quite similar to the stuffed bunny found in Haruka’s silhouette shot in Undercover.

Next, the flowers in his pocket look to be Baby’s Breath which can symbolize everlasting love and innocence. Because of this, they’re often given at weddings/ baby showers. There were a lot of small white flowers that I could have picked, but Baby’s Breath seemed to be the best choice given Haruka’s family theme and overall childish nature.

Next up is Yuno!

Overall outfit rating: 8/10 Cute! I own smth that looks just like this but the colors are different LMAO

For hers, they really took a lot of inspiration from her MV including the stair, heart and balloon imagery. I wonder if the things they seem to highlight in the cakes are things to take more note of? Wonder what that means for Haruka’s little bunny friend.

The flowers in her art are littered across the stair-cake and are definitely cherry blossoms. A quick google search tells me that cherry blossoms represent birth and death, beauty and violence. WHICH IS HELLA SUS IMMA JUST SAY. I don’t think I really need to explain how this relates to her.
