Some synopses I made for my WT-inspired season with the Reboot Cast.
Like the original WT, the members get to name their teams.
Ripper explains that a team full of powerful men and MK deserves an intimidating and threatening name, and as an alfalfa man, what better name than the term he always uses to describe himself? Team Alfalfa it is.
Axel takes charge of her team and names them Team Survival because she wants what's best for them, even willing to go to great lengths to prove it,
Priya being the hardcore total drama fan that she is, took it upon herself to name their team "Team Venus" as a homage to the Original's Team Amazon, for coincidentally being comprised of four girls and one boy and hopes the team follows in their footsteps concerning challenges.
-
Episode #1
Synopsis:
Sixteen teenagers are invited back to the new season as they compete in brutal and mind-grueling challenges worldwide to win $1,000,000. The new rules, along with their recent living quarters and mode of transportation, are made familiar to the contestants before dropping them off in the middle of the sea where their first challenge awaits. Established bonds have been separated while three teams and new alliances emerge.
-
Episode #2:
Synopsis:
The three teams, now fully geared up, must traverse their way inside the Puerto Princesa Underground River with their various rewards and penalties intact. Once out of the underground cave, teams must go to the island’s local airport with anything they can use. One member of a particular team wants to take the lead due to the familiarity with the place, but will they succeed, or will the other teams beat them to it?
-
Episode #3
Synopsis:
Next destination? Seoul, South Korea!! Teams must partake in a three-part challenge wherein they have to indulge in some of South Korea’s most influential pop culture media trends, including an all-out eating challenge, a simultaneous sing-and-dance performance, and a reenactment of one of the country’s most iconic romcoms. The winning team is rewarded with an all-expense paid trip around the city, while something unexpected might happen to the losing team.
-
Episode #4
Synopsis:
The three teams are now headed for the Himalayan mountain ranges and are tasked with enduring the rough weather conditions together. Certain members from different teams begin to express their frustration and dismay as they try to overcome the anxiety of not knowing how the other teams are doing. In contrast, the other members tell them to snap out of it and focus on the challenge. Push comes to shove as someone is forced to decide when they find out their friend’s health from the other team is at risk.
-
Episode #5
Synopsis:
The three teams head northwest for the Land of Fire and Ice. Teams are tasked with finding treasure hidden within the country’s contrasting active volcanoes and glacier landscapes. However, to make things even, a few must sit out on the challenge in isolation from their teams’ current affairs. Several contestants begin to show concern for their places in the game as alliances begin to solidify with the hope of taking out a common enemy.
-
Episode #6

The first aftermath of the season has premiered with old and familiar faces returning as hosts. Several previous contestants, now grown up, are invited back to comment on the newbies as the peanut gallery. The hosts review the relationship details of the first few eliminated contestants. -

Meanwhile, problems and new friendships arise for one team as they discover secrets and motives amongst themselves.
-
Episode #9
Synopsis:

As the teams ramble to search for materials spread across the city for their blindfolded models to use on the runway of traps set up by the host, one contestant is having difficulty keeping up with their team as they begin to show regret for past actions. Another one is torn as they face the struggles of having to choose sides. On the other hand, someone tries their hardest to show their worth in hopes of redemption and a place to stay in the game even further.
-
Episode #10
Synopsis:
The contestants are taken to Barcelona, Spain, for their next challenge. -
Episode #13

However, due to unfavorable circumstances, one lucky contestant must only do one challenge to win it all for their team. Meanwhile, one person manages to get a hold of something important that may affect certain contestants in the long run.
-

But please be sure to search carefully. One contestant's crucial information managed to cause tension between three people after a seemingly unlikely friendship began to flourish. At the elimination ceremony, two contestants are on the verge of elimination. However, can one's planning cause the votes to shift in their favor?
-

Feeling betrayed by a so-called friend, a vengeful contestant will stop at nothing to achieve their sole goal of erasing another's status in the game. The contestants dropped on one of the most radioactive places on the planet, Chornobyl. The teams must find their way out of the area; does that sounds simple enough? Not when you're on a timer while being chased down. Two contestants got to have a moment to themselves, coming to terms with what must be done to improve their stay in the game. Meanwhile, someone also comes to terms with how they view a fellow competitor as a result of their desire to win back their attention and trust, and thus, does something completely out of the blue.
-
Episode #16
Synopsis:
The teams travel to Cluj, Romania. Each team must gather clues hidden within the forest to solve a mystery around the show's history. With the numbers dwindling even more by the end of this elimination round, one person thinks ahead and devises a strategy to weaken their enemies while ensuring a place in the impending merging of the teams. -
Episode #17

First, they must go up the Sky Tower on foot while dining on the country's fine cuisine. Once they reach the top, every team member must sky jump off the Sky Tower one at a time while ensuring the stuff they ate going up doesn't go out. One expresses great exhilaration and confidence after doing so well. and another expresses a mix of resentment and respect directed at an opposing player. Lastly, someone didn't take the most recent elimination too kindly, which didn't go unnoticed by another contestant who knew what or who caused it.
-
Episode #18
Synopsis:
New, unhappy guests join the peanut gallery, and what do they all have in common other than getting outplayed? Nothing. Five lucky losers get the opportunity to rejoin the competition. One unexpected player wins, now driven by the thirst for vengeance.
-
Episode #19
Synopsis:
The teams arrive in Singapore for their next challenge. It is revealed that one person winning a second chance challenge on the Aftermath is debuting onto the show with the teams finally merging, much to everyone's excitement except for one previously hopeful contender. Considering one's connections in the game into consideration, three people coordinate a plan to ensure a better placement further down the line.
-

Fleetwood Mac - "Hypnotized" From the album Mystery to Me (October 15, 1973)
Last song scrobbled from iTunes at Last.fm
Truth be told, Fleetwood Mac and I have never really seen eye to eye. When I was growing up, at a time when Rumours was ubiquitous, the teenage metalhead and/or prog freak I purposely molded myself into wasn't part of their demographic. Not even close. And now that I more closely match that (older, white, politically liberal?) demographic, the ship that might have once done the soft California rock thing for me has long since sailed.
I may not hate them, but--with the one exception I'm getting to in my typically slow fashion--Fleetwood Mac's influence on my listening habits has been next to nil. "Rhiannon" and "Don't Stop" and the rest of the Mac's massive seventies radio hits have been like neutrinos, all around me, unavoidable, yet so wispy and insubstantial that they've passed through me inert and whole, colliding with nothing of myself, reacting with nothing at all I keep internal.
Words are funny things. Rotate them a quarter turn, and all their nuance changes. I dismiss Fleetwood Mac by saying they're "insubtantial," but 90 degrees away from insubstantial is "ethereal," and ethereal can produce a very nice feeling indeed.
"Hypnotized" is, I think, Fleetwood Mac rotated their own quarter turn.
It's the same kind of story That seems to come down from long ago Two friends having coffee together When something flies by their window It might be out on that lawn Which is wide, at least half of a playing field Because there's no explaining what your imagination Can make you see and feel
Seems like a dream They got me hypnotized
Now it's not a meaningless question To ask if they've been and gone I remember a talk about North Carolina and a strange, strange pond You see the sides were like glass In the thick of a forest without a road And if any man's hand ever made that land Then i think it would've showed
Seems like a dream They got me hypnotized
They say there's a place down in Mexico Where a man can fly over mountains and hills And he don't need an airplane or some kind of engine And he never will Now you know it's a meaningless question To ask if those stories are right 'cause what matters most if the feeling You get when you're hypnotized
Seems like a dream They got me hypnotized
Cadres of English blues fans and Peter Green cultists probably curse the name of Bob Welch for the band's detour into Yacht Rock after Welch arrived.
Fine. But to me, Welch's standing as one of the seventies' premier songwriters is cemented by this song and this song alone. And if it's Yacht Rock so be it. Van Morrison and Stevie Nicks and scores of Druid metal acts have attempted to shine a light Into the Mystic, but none, I think, have illuminated that foggy inconstant world quote so well as "Hypnotized."
what matters most if the feeling You get when you're hypnotized
Hell, there are books written on the subject that don't get it so right. I don't truly believe that Don Juan ever levitated or that space aliens created a lake in the Carolina woods or that a Mothman flew over Point Pleasant or that malign spirits ever crept over the sandy floors of the Chase Vaults.
But there's a little dreamy fugue we all enter when just thinking about these fantastical and sadly unreal things, isn't there? If these things are not real, at least they can give us this wonderful, fleetingly-grasped, dreamy fugue state.
What's remarkable about "Hypnotized," its music, its lyrics, is it's another transport in.
The fugue, the trance, it's just like the daydream reverie you feel when Bob Welch's atmospheric guitar fills fly by. It's just like the slightly unreal shimmer that Mick Fleetwood's triple-time beats can bring to things, and it's just like the mysterious soft keen of Welch's and McVie's voices combining, just slightly offtune, just slightly outside the sad and boring reality we're all forced to inhabit.
RIP Bob Welch
Fleetwood Mac rotated their quarter turn

Test : Mika and the Witch's Mountain
Conclusion : 8/10

Character Intro: Pseudologos (Kingdom of Ichor)
Nicknames- The False God, The Dark Deceit by the people of Olympius
Father by Dolos
Sue by Elpis
Grandfather by Pheme
Age- 70 (immortal)
Location- Olympia, Olympius
Personality- He's very observant with a strong attention to the most minute of details. He's also narcissistic, highly manipulative, selfish, uneasily fooled, as well as egomaniacal. There's only a few beings he genuinely cares about. He has many girlfriends.
He has the standard abilities of a god. As the god of lies his other powers/abilities include truth sense, vocal mimicry, lie proficiency, criminology mastery, telepathy (is able to read minds), fraud inducement (can manipulate others to lie), shapeshifting (his skill is on par with Empusa), being able to create a variety of auditory, visual, & sensory illusions, as well as being able to communicate with/shapeshift into animals associated with trickery- like rats, wolves, snakes, jackals, hyenas, weasels, foxes, coyotes, monkeys, crocodiles, etc...
Pseudologos' primary abode is his cliffside mansion in the state of Olympia. The mansion is built out of adamantine glass, white marble, & black onyx. There are a lot of streakless windows and glittering chandeliers while the flooring is white marble with Imperial Gold accents. The interior design is cool, modern, & sleek with a variety of artwork, photography, and sculptural pieces with leather furniture, & metal, lucite, Imperial Gold, jade, and obsidian furniture pieces. He has a LARGE garage that houses his collection of luxurious sports cars. Pseudologos also owns a beach house on Shimmering Tail Island and an apartment at Bolt Towers, located in the Skyline neighborhood of New Olympus. He also owns a yacht called Olympian.
He has an animal companion- a dragon named Nyroxion. He's the second oldest & fourth largest dragon in all the realms, widely known as "The Black Beast." After Xuvra, Nyroxion is the most fiercest and aggressive. He's primarily covered in black scales while his belly scales & spinal plates are a dark blood red. The dragon has black horns, claws, and crests with dark red eyes & black wings with dark red wing membranes. Nyroxion is usually Pseudologos' mode of transportation. Dragon and rider have an unbreakable bond.
He's fluent in all the languages spoken in Olympius.
Members of Pseudologos' immediate family includes his younger brother Logos (god of stories), his son Dolos (god of deception & treachery), his niece Eikono (goddess of iconography & literature), his daughter-in-law Elpis (goddess of hope), and his granddaughter Pheme (goddess of fame).
His breakfast is usually prepared & cooked by his personal chef- a mountainous centaur named Montague (called Monty for short). Some of Pseudologos' favorites includes almond poppy seed belgian waffles topped with peach compote, cinnamon & cardamom crêpes topped with powdered sugar, baked florentine egg white omelets, and tropical fruit sorbets.
His favorite "snacks" are smoking cigarettes & cigars. Pseudologos treats himself with buying a few of the most expensive cigars at Ygró Veloúdo- the wine bar/premier smoking room owned by Agathodaemon (Daemon) (god of vineyards, grainfields, & luck). At 1.3 million drachmas a pop, the cigar is meticulously filled with rare tobacco sourced from the Underworld infused with a prestigious black pomegrante cognac, wrapped gracefully with a gold leaf, and is secured by a band with dazzling diamonds totaling 5 carats. He also partakes in weed & lotus dust.
He's proficient at forging signatures.
Pseudologos takes great pride in his appearance. In spite of his advanced age, he lives an active lifestyle and is in peak physical shape. His silver gray hair is neatly trimmed, his clothes expertly pressed, & his shoes perfectly polished. Pseudologos is a firm believer of quality over quantity when it comes to his belongings.
A go-to drink for him is a dirty martini. He also likes champagne, red wine, manhattans, whiskey sours, scotch on the rocks, mojitos, negronis, and vesper cocktails. A usual from The Roasted Bean is an olympian sized iced americano.
He doesn't have a close relationship with his brother. Pseudologos hates his younger brother's "greater-than-thou" attitude towards his lifestyle and firmly believes that the moniker of "Olympius' Grandpa" has gotten to Logos' head. He only sees him when there are monthly family dinners hosted by Elpis.
The accumulation of Pseudologos' wealth is one of the best kept secrets in all the realms. There are whispers about his dealings in the black market, but nothing definitive.
His favorite frozen treats are rum raisin ice cream & champagne sorbet.
He has his own crew of stringers that gather intel and photos for the paparazzi. For fun it's rumored that Pseudologos will be in a shapeshifted form as a maintenance worker at the royal palace on Mt. Olympus to gather more information- which is then given to The Oracle Scoop, the tabloid magazine owned by Pheme.
Pseudologos has a few tattoos- a small dagger on the inside of his left wrist, the saying "trust no one" written in Old Greek on the inside of his right wrist, a black widow on his chest, and a bunch of nightshade flowers on his left thigh.
He quite likes his daughter-in-law Elpis. When she visits him, she always brings in a fresh bouquet of flowers. They'll go to the beach to surf & afterwards Pseudologos will enjoy Elpis' homemade smoothie bowl, the blueberry açaí one being his favorite. He doesn't mind the jokes she makes at his expense and thinks that she is too good for his son.
For lunch Monty will prepare Pseudologos' favorite- grilled snapper and asparagus with herb-caper vinaigrette. If he's with a date, he'll dine out, often at The Crown. From the menu he likes the steamed miso custard with mushrooms & soy dressing, herb crêpes with olives and spinach, & grilled garlic crusted oysters with beluga caviar.
Pseudologos' relationship with his son has always been tense. He honestly can't remember the last time he said "I love you" to Dolos or showed any sort of physical affection towards him. Pseudologos is proud of the fact that he taught his son about the harsh truths of the world. That for deities like them, their worth is made, not given. He also refuses to tell Dolos anything about his biological mother.
His all time favorite dessert is baked alaska.
Pseudologos loves buying gifts for his girlfriends, daughter-in-law, & granddaughter.
He has recently released his signature cologne called Mystique. The spicy fragrance has notes of violet leaf, cyclamen, amber, bitter orange blossom, orris, & narcissus. Another notable feature is the black obsidian bottle with purple jade accents. A 8.5 oz/250ml bottle sells for 1,300 drachmas. The release day for Mystique happened at a Pithos Department Store in the Skyline neighborhood.
Pseudologos adores his granddaughter- calling Pheme "My little diamond." They keep in touch through text all the time and they visit each other often. He was one of the financial backers involved in starting up her Diamond Ave. fashion brand. When they spend time together they'll go to the spa, go shopping, & dine at a restaurant. At times their relationship has been tested- due to Pseudologos' constant flirting with Pheme's friends. Lately, he's been trying to let up on that.
A guilty pleasure for him is a wagyu, foie gras, & black truffle burger that Monty makes.
He has quite the social media presence on Fatestagram.
Throughout his immortal life he's been married well over a hundred times! In the pantheon Pseudologos is infamously known as "The Collector of Wives." He's been engaged even more times. Pseudologos rejects the notion of true love, but understands the want and desire to have a warm body close to him at night. Now, he keeps things casual with many girlfriends of many creeds. His long-time girlfriend is Lycana (Titaness of lycanthropy).
Pseudologos has also propositioned Aisa (goddess of lot & fate) as well as Apate (goddess of fraud & deception). Aisa rejected the offer while Apate hasn't given him an answer yet. He does feel a little guilty about the latter- seeing how Apate is his friend's daughter and that she used to work closely with Dolos.
In the pantheon he's friends with Erebus (god of darkness), Astrape (goddess of lightning), Empusa (goddess of shapeshifting), Bronte (goddess of thunder), Hysminai (goddess of fighting & combat), Kydoimos (god of uproar & battlefield confusion), Clymene (Titaness of fame & renown), and Hyperion (Titan god of heavenly light).
Pseudologos was the official mentor to Aplistos (god of avarice).
He met Lycana's daughter Lykos (goddess of wolves) briefly a few weeks ago. Pseudologos doesn't have much of an opinion about her.
His carnal appetites rivals that of Zeus (god of the sky, thunder, & lightning). Pseudologos has a "little black book" filled with the names of all his conquests. He has slept with Empusa a few times and has even slept with Gaia (goddess of the earth). An upcoming "event" Pseudologos is looking forward to is a video he's shooting with Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection) for her adult website. He and Lycana got into a HUGE argument about it.
He broke his only cardinal rule when he said "I love you" to Lycana while they were having sex. When she tried bringing it up a few days later, Pseudologos said that he was high on lotus dust when it happened.
In his free time he enjoys lovemaking, golf, watching TV, tennis, sunbathing, clubbing, going to the casino, playing dominoes, going to the cinema, sky diving, billiards, poker, and going to the opera.
His favorite meal is lamb ravioli with champagne butter and sage.
"The perfect liar is one that no one suspects."

Summary:
American journalist Nick Orton is caught up in the world of Chinese gods and monsters while on a search for the long lost manuscript to 'Hsi Yu Chi' (The Journey to the West) by Wu Ch'eng En. He is accompanied on his journey by a humanoid ape with incredible strength and magical powers, a humanoid pig-man, and his brother-in-arms, an ex-cannibal. Based on one of the greatest stories in Chinese history.
Nicholas Orton (played by Thomas Gibson) is an American businessman who has lived in China for several years. He has a chance encounter with a beautiful Chinese lady (played by Bai Ling) who says that he is the only one who can save the world from reverting five-hundred years. He is unswayed by this until many modern buildings begin disappearing before his eyes. This mystical lady (revealed later as Guanyin, the bodhisattva of compassion) transports him to a portal which offers entrance, through the teachings of Confucius (played by Ric Young), to the ancient Chinese underworld.
When Orton (soon to be named The Scholar From Above) reaches the other side of the portal, he finds that his studies of Confucius will come in handy for the path that lies ahead. Orton's first action is to rescue Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, from the mountain in which he has been imprisoned for centuries. Wukong travels with Orton in his quest to save the original manuscript of Journey to the West from retroactive destruction; if the story itself is erased from history, all of the people who were ever inspired by the lessons it teaches will be worse off, and history will permanently change for the poorer. They are later joined by Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) and Sha Wujing (Friar Sand) to help them on their way.

Haley’s backstory. Enjoy! :) @ebevkisk
Steel Arcanist
In the middle of the mainland of Cor Varias sat the Taigothos Rift. A massive mountain range with a truly unnatural canyon cutting a perfect straight line down the middle. The canyon stretched throughout the mountain range north to south and went as deep as sea level.
Ancient stories said that during the Disparity, Behemoth swung her mighty blade with such force that the very energy carved a perfectly straight canyon that went on for miles, exposing many caves wired directly into the world’s resource veins. As years went by, mortal society rebuilt from the ashes and, in the Taigothos Rift, blossomed a city.
Penrose was a thriving metropolis of zip lines, cave dwellings, and wooden lodges and bridges that stretched the length of the canyon. You would think that, due to the access to fine materials and premier mine shafts, that the people in the city were rich beyond belief, but that was not the case. Penrose exported most of their metals to the cloud cities that drifted in the atmosphere over Cor Varias. Penrose also didn’t mind being a humble city. In fact, most of the people were hard working individuals that just wanted to be left alone.
That, however, didn’t mean Penrose was immune to corruption. Quite the opposite actually. The constant shift in power structure meant most workers were either tradespeople, miners, and merchants or they were criminals and members of the local gangs vying for a top spot.
This struggle was a system that could definitely be taken advantage of if a smart enough person knew how to navigate it.
Someone like Haley.
It was noon and snoring could be heard from a hut three-fourths of the way up the canyon wall. A mechanical alarm was going off, but a mechanical hand kept pushing the snooze button. Drool running out of their mouth as they lay in bed, a lavender tiefling with ram like horns groaned as they finally sat up in their comfy bed.
“Fuuuuuuck. Of course, I slept in.”
As they stretched, their right hand made all kinds of mechanical clicks and shifts as their legs hit the floor, one with an iron *clink*. Standing at a solid 5’2”, perfectly nude, with black pixie cut hair, pink eyes, and a wild child stare that could start trouble from a mile away, Haley started to wander around to find clothes.
Haley pulled on a black tank top and a thong while grabbing a screwdriver from the nearby vanity and taking it to their workbench. Tightening the screws on their left leg and then their right arm, they couldn’t help but admire their own craftsmanship. The arm and leg were cybernetic, built with some of the most durable metal found in the depths of the mine. They moved so fluidly, almost as if they were actual human limbs and rarely malfunctioned, but being that Haley was a perfectionist, they couldn’t afford to be careful.
“Pegs, power on. Start breakfast if you would please.” Haley spoke seemingly to nothing. Out of the candlelit area of the portion of their dwelling that was chiseled out of the wall, a Minotaur automaton with roughly the same make as their limbs, but 7 feet tall and glowing with arcane light shifted to life and, with almost humanoid like movement, walked to the pantry and grabbed a loaf of bread.
Haley pulled on their skin tight pants and took a step out to the patio to gaze out at the busied “streets” as people slid on zip lines and walked or ran from place to place on the bridges that made up the city of Penrose. As they breathed in the fresh midday air, they grabbed the rope that hung right outside to activate the contraption that opened up the store for the day.
Haley was a unique part of Penrose’s development. With an IQ of 205, Haley was not only an artificer of the highest order, but they were also one of the chief engineers that kept Penrose functional. Their ability to build personal assistants and regulate the multitude of elevators and other means of transportation kept the city running. However, most people didn’t know that they were also a skilled gunsmith.
Walking back into their hut, Pegs had almost finished with the Ivory egg bread when a knock came to the door. When they opened it, they found a face that instilled a subtle anger.
Draymond Belial. Smoothest criminal boss in Penrose Heights. A high elf, a con man, a liar, and the only known person on the continent that could come close to matching Haley’s intelligence.
“I told you, I don’t sell to criminals. Especially men like you. I work for the city and I particularly do not like you tracking your filth inside my shop.”
Draymond gave a devilish grin. “I have all the money you could ever need. All my men need are weapons. A couple pistols, maybe a rifle or two. Why not sell to me when you could upgrade?”
Haley swung the golden jewel of their mechanical skill, a crimson and pink repeater named Cherry Stingray, from the bed as Draymond attempted to take a step inside. “Absolutely not. You know I don’t care for money or wealth. I aim to protect myself and the disenfranchised. The people of this city are selfless and caring to those who would trade with them. They seek to better the world rather than fill the pockets of greasy cocksuckers like yourself.”
Draymond’s smile became a scowl. “You arrogant brat.”
Haley pulled the repeater apart like it was made of liquid and two pistols appeared in their hands. “One step and I will send you off of the patio. Or better yet, Pegs sends you thousands of feet down plus six feet under. I told you that as long as the city stays quiet, you may live here, but I will not allow you and your scum to lead these people. They work hard for the sake of the commonwealth. Your greed is not welcome.”
Draymond snarled and Haley’s mechanical limbs twitched. “Remember who took those limbs in the first place, you entitled bitch. We have numbers. You do not.”
Haley stared daggers into his soul. “Even more reason not to arm you with weapons. Your father will rot in that grave. He may have ordered that hit, but you carried it out. A bullet of any kind would put you down just as easily as it would anyone else. You live because I showed mercy. One toe out of line and Pegs will not leave enough of you to be remembered.”
Behind Haley, familiar mechanical noises indicated that Pegs was armed and ready.
Draymond adjusted his suit. “I’ll take more than just those limbs next time.” And walks off.
A week later, Haley was working on a pet project when the area around their house became eerily quiet. Penrose was an incredibly busy city and it was never this quiet. Haley slung Cherry Stingray off of their back and waited for any sound. As they slowly snuck low near the window, they heard the click of a revolver.
“Pegs, Fortress!”
As soon as they called that out, a barrage of bullets rained down from the opposite side of the canyon. Ducking into cover, Haley tapped a few buttons on a nearby console, slamming a blast shield closed around their house. Pegs activated something in his chest and the outer armor of his chassis fortified itself, ready at a moment’s notice in case of intrusion.
“Pegs, we need to get out of here.” Haley rushed to their workbench and tapped a few buttons. The workbench folded up into a container roughly the size of a hardback book. They picked it up as they pulled out their Holster of Reloading and slid the bench into a compartment on the back of Pegs, clicking in for transport.
Digging their boots into special indents built for mobile combat, Haley shifted into battle focus and braced themselves to fight the wall of mercenaries that had gathered on the other side of the canyon when there was a beeping sound that hit their ears.
Everything went flash white as their body was blown back into the wall. Shattering multiple ribs, they tapped a button on a bracelet they carried and used the one charge of Dimension Door they had stored in it, pulling Pegs and themselves anywhere but here.
They found themselves deep within the mines. Safe, but badly injured. Haley remained in the heap they had collapsed to the floor in and cast a quick cure wounds. As they lay there, a voice rang in her head.
“I told you I’d take more than those limbs. And now, no one will hear you scream. This city is mine now.”
A rumbling filled the mine as rocks and as the ceiling caved in, they didn’t have the energy to stand, much less stop themselves from being trapped. Days passed. Haley continued to create food and water with their magic, but air was slowly leaving the mine. As Haley contemplated their life, still very badly injured, they felt magic brimming in their body as they slowly slipped into unconsciousness.
Haley bolted awake and found themselves in a bed. They looked around and found Pegs, worn and battered with a massive chunk taken out of his chest, laying on the ground. Haley felt tears welling up in their eyes as they realized what had happened.
“We almost didn’t save you in time.”
Haley looked up to see an Aasimar standing in the doorway. Tricorn hat, one eye red and one eye lavender, Haley felt a touch of divinity radiating from her and from they way she presented herself, there were so many things this girl knew that Haley had never even studied.
“I have tools to fix your friend here. Draymond is someone I’d been hoping would slip up eventually, but someone with your talents and ideologies took precedent.”
Haley nodded. “Um, I actually brought my own. But thank you.”
The Aasimar walked closer. “I know there is a lot to process, but I figured you wanted revenge and you are a boon to not just that plane, but all of them.”
Haley looked down at the arm that was now beaten to shit and barely functioning and an anger welled up in her chest. “As a merchant, I stock lots of useful things. But mercy for people that wronged me is not one of them. I only hope that I can be of service.”
