Pregnancy weight gain calculator is a handy tool used to estimate pregnancy weight gain!
Tumblr media
How to use the pregnancy weight calculator?
allcalculator.net's  Here some of the steps to find your healthy weight gain during pregnancy are:
Enter your height and pre-pregnancy weight into appropriate boxes.
The pregnancy weight gain calculator will automatically determine your pre-pregnancy BMI.
Mark whether you are expecting twins; this will heavily influence your weight gain.
Choose the week of pregnancy.
The pregnancy weight gain will determine the minimum and maximum weight gain since the beginning of pregnancy, which got approved by The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies. It adds the value of the initial weight.
Does your pregnancy weight gain vary?
Pregnancy weight gain varies week-by-week depending on metabolism, activity level and genetics. The weight gain per week for trimesters two and three are as follows:
Pre-pregnancy BMI is less than 18.5 – 1 to 1.3 pounds per week
Pre-pregnancy BMI is 18.5 to 24.9 – 0.8 to 1 pound per week
Pre-pregnancy BMI is 25 to 29.9 – 0.5 to 0.7 pounds per week
Pre-pregnancy BMI is 30 or higher – 0.4 to 0.6 pounds per week
The important thing during prenatal time is to follow healthy nutrition and exercise as much as possible.
How can the weight be distributed at the time of fetal development?
Most weight gain goes to the development of tissues that allow fetal development and growth and prepare the body for breastfeeding. allcalculator.net's The pregnancy weight distribution is shown below:
Enlarged breasts – 1 to 3 pounds
Enlarged uterus – 2 pounds
Placenta – 1.5 pounds
Amniotic fluid – 2 pounds
Increased blood volume – 3 to 4 pounds
Increased fluid volume – 2 to 3 pounds
Fat stores – 6 to 8 pounds
Does weight gain faster at the time of the second pregnancy?
No, the second pregnancy's weight gain is the same as the first one. You might gain additional weight at the time of the first pregnancy. allcalculator.net's  The pregnancy is more apparent because abdominal muscles, ligaments and uterus return to their original shape after a child. A pregnant teenager needs to support the growth of the baby and themselves because weight gain is more prominent for pregnant women.

Chapter 25
[Prev] [Next]
The shock did not go away.  If anything, it packed its bags and moved into your home.
You stood in front of the mirror in your bathroom dressed in only your bra and underwear.  Law stood behind you, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest.  The air in the room was stifling as you gazed at the bump that had already started showing in your belly.
You had an approximate due date.  May 22nd.
You were officially, according to your implantation date and calculations done by Robin, on your ninth week of pregnancy.  Your hCG levels in each blood test had increased as expected, and your babies had heartbeats.
Your babies.  Plural.
Your symptoms were exacerbated by the fact that you had not one, but two embryos inside you.  Breast tenderness, backaches, nausea, dizziness, the whole nine yards.
Though, if you were being fair to yourself, your dizziness could easily have been a side effect of being labeled as ‘extremely high risk.’  Due to your history, and now due to being pregnant with multiples, you were given strict instructions to be much more present at your doctor’s office.  You were given prenatal vitamins to begin taking daily every single morning.  You were given foods to avoid in order to lower your risk of developing gestational diabetes.  You were also given foods more encouraged to eat.  Raise your blood iron.  Raise your sodium, but not too much.  Eat an increase of around 1000 calories a day to support the growth of two placentas and two babies.  Watch out for spotting, bleeding, pelvic pain, irregular bowel movements.  Watch out for headaches and weight gain or discolored urine, you might die.  Keep an eye on your mental health, what stresses you, stresses the babies.  But mostly, be excited!
Yeah, right.
Your hand traced the small bump in your belly.
“You know…” you began, making Law perk his head up to listen to you.  “I always thought that seeing a baby bump would be the most exciting moment of my life… but I’ve never been more scared.  Ever.”
Law approached you from behind, wrapping his hands around your bare waist and resting his chin on the crown of your head.  His scent enveloped you like a blanket, instantly warming your skin and calming your heightened nerves.  One of his hands traveled down the skin of your abdomen, resting on top of where yours lay above your uterus.
“I can’t lie to you… I am, too,” he added, his voice heavy with thought.
“Am I a bad person for not being excited?” you asked, your voice surprisingly stable despite the racing heart in your chest.  “I mean, I am excited.  So far their hearts are still beating… but…”
“You’re not a bad person at all,” replied your husband, planting a kiss to the back of your head.  “It’s perfectly rational that you feel scared.”
“Terrified…” you clarified for the both of you.  “I feel terrified.”
You and Law made eye contact in the mirror.  The way he had his arms wrapped around you reminded you of a security blanket given to trauma victims in an ambulance.  The thought made a wry smile break out onto your lips, making your husband cock an eyebrow.
“What’s got you smiling all of a sudden?” he asked with a slight upward turn to the corner of his mouth.
You mustered out a dry chuckle.  “You’re my trauma victim security blanket.”
The randomness of your sentence made Law’s shoulders bounce slightly as he laughed, holding you closer to him.  “I know it’s really hard for you to do so, but I think we should both try as hard as we can to think positively.  It’ll probably be healthier for you.”
You looked up at him, a smirk dancing over your face.  “That sounds crazy coming from you.”
You yelped in surprise as Law scooped you into his arms and carried you to your shared bedroom before plopping you down on your mattress, him sprawling out beside you.  “What was that for?”
“So you wouldn’t stress yourself out in the mirror,” he replied, his voice hoarse yet tender as he stared at you from his pillow.  “I’m being serious, though.  I know the stakes are high, but there’s gotta be things we can think about to prevent you from getting stressed.”
You turned your body to lay on your back, lacing your hand with his as you stared at your ceiling.  “Any examples?”
Law hummed in thought, glancing around the room.  His eyes landed on your framed, signed Sora poster.  The frame had a very small crack in it from being moved out of your sophomore year dorm room, but the poster inside was still in perfect condition.  “Think about our kids watching Sora.  Maybe we can dress them up as Sora and Stealth Black for Halloween.”
The tender thought almost immediately made you smile.  Your mind flooded with even more thoughts of Law as a dad, tailoring Halloween costumes for his kids and making them feel perfect.  Your thoughts of Law with one baby had now evolved into thoughts of him with two, rocking two armfuls of swaddled infants to sleep, kissing their little foreheads, pushing them in a double stroller.  Your eyes began to well with tears which you quickly blinked away, choosing instead to push yourself up and roll over, hooking one of your legs in between Law’s and laying across his chest.  His arms instinctively wrapped around your waist, tracing invisible patterns into the skin of your back.
“I get really happy thinking about you as a dad,” you sighed.  “You’re gonna be so amazing.”
Law chuckled, his chest rumbling.  “That’s the kind of positivity I’m talking about.”
You giggled.  “I mean it, though.  Remember before we got married and you said you were so scared to have kids one day?  Because you didn’t want them to go through what we had?”
His face fell slightly, recalling the memory.  He was still in the middle of his residency program, and you were jumping job to job with random, unstable freelance gigs.  It wasn’t the instability of your lives that made him weary, however.  Rather, it was the looming anxiety that everything good in Law’s life would someday be snatched away from him.  And that had happened to you, twice.
But when he stepped back and thought about the broader picture, it got easier for him to see clearly.  How you put up with his shitty attitude when you first met.  How quickly you opened yourself up to him, exposing your deepest fears and troubles and being patient with him when he struggled to reveal his own worries to you.  How you told him you loved him after only five months, terrified that you were going to scare him off, and all he could do in response was give you the most awkward, inexperienced kiss you had probably ever received.  And you stayed by his side even when it took him almost a full year to say those three little words back.
You brushed your fingers along Law’s cheek, tracing the soft hair of his sideburns before hooking around his head and burying into the fluffy black wisps behind his ear.  You pressed a smattering of kisses across his jaw and cheekbones, over his nose and finally on his lips.  “When I think about positive things, I think of you.”
Law’s lips broke into a wide smile, the kind of smile he only ever showed you.  The kind of smile that wrinkled the skin around his eyes and revealed the single small dimple he had on his right cheek.
A sudden ringing from his phone on the bedside table startled the two of you out of your lovestruck daze.  With a grumble, he reached over and grabbed the device, you rolling off of him and sitting criss-cross on your side of the bed.  He tapped the answer button and pressed the phone to his ear.  You could just barely make out the words spoken on the other end.  After a brief goodbye, Law hung up the call and uttered a heavy sigh before standing up and grabbing his uniform coat.
“Emergency surgery?” you asked.  You were only slightly disappointed with the interruption of your intimate moment, but it was nothing you weren’t already used to.
He nodded with a frown before walking back over to you and stealing a quick kiss from your lips.  “Patient just came into the ED with a STEMI.  I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
“Don’t worry about me, go save the world,” you said with a smile.  He tossed you a somber grin as he stepped into his shoes, grabbed his work bag, and booked it out the door.  Living two minutes away from the hospital by car definitely had its perks.
You were surrounded by silence in your apartment when the front door was closed behind your husband.  With a sigh, you stood from the bed and paced toward Law’s wardrobe, opening the bottom drawer and pulling out one of his old sweatshirts.  It had a custom design on the front of it, one that he also had tattooed on his back.  His living situation after he lost his biological family wasn’t ideal, but the little ways he held onto the memory of his adoptive father always brought a smile to your face.  You pulled the hoodie over you, taking off your bra underneath it and throwing it onto the end of your mattress, tiredly rubbing your sore breasts underneath the soft cotton of his shirt.  You turned around to face the rest of your bedroom.
The pregnancy journal that you barely started writing in was placed on top of Law’s desk.  With a deep breath, you grabbed the book, a pen, and a roll of white-out tape and proceeded to your couch in the living room.
You smiled at the sight of Bepo, stomach completely upward facing and paws outstretched as he snoozed away on his dog bed.  You had a feeling Bepo was going to be an absolutely incredible big brother.
You leaned against a pillow rested along the arm of the couch and propped up your knees to place the book on your thighs.  You finally mustered up your anxieties and opened the cover.
“Nothing but positivity,” you muttered to yourself.  You uncapped the pen and started writing.

(tws ahead: discussion of food, diets and diet culture, eating disorders, calorie counts, and fatphobia in the context of pregnancy)
Truly one of the most bizarre things about being pregnant has been the official advice around food. Food and eating is difficult enough already when you're pregnant - there's excellent scientific evidence that it's advisable to moderate your caffeine intake and avoid alcohol, and an entire laundry list of stuff you're supposed to avoid for food safety/food poisoning risk reasons. (I am a nerd and I read the last scientific review of the linked advice from the NZ Ministry of Health, so I can say with confidence it's also pretty well supported.) Personally, I am largely indifferent to going without alcohol, but after half a year or so my brie cravings are getting pretty intense. That's going to be even tougher for people with food restriction issues. And then there's the potential nutrient deficiencies that come when a baby is sucking up all your available iron, calcium, etcetera.
But on top of all this...a couple of things are also true:
later pregnancy and breastfeeding require a higher calorie intake because you're, uh, feeding an entire baby with your body and those calories have to come from somewhere
healthy pregnancy also requires weight gain because of the aforementioned 'growing an entire person' thing
Western Anglophone society absolutely loses its goddamn mind at the thought of telling women (and other pregnant people, but they are clearly not thinking that far) that it's okay for them to eat more than normal, let alone gain weight
So there's reams and reams of official advice which has like one line saying "maybe don't diet when you're pregnant" quickly followed by "but it's OK! you can diet afterwards! you'll lose lots of weight when you breastfeed!" and then like. eight paragraphs on how while technically, they suppose you need some extra calories during some of your pregnancy, it is DEEPLY IMPORTANT that those calories only come from the most healthy and boring possible foods, because otherwise you might gain too much weight which is the worst possible thing that could happen. Try carrot sticks! Fat-free yoghurt! Dry toast! I have literally seen advice suggesting the extra calories you need can be gained from a "small snack". Maybe an apple. (Most of the estimates I've seen about extra calorie needs in later pregnancy are in the range of 3-400 extra calories a day. That apple would have to be the size of your head.) This is all followed up with dire warnings about gestational diabetes, which is lurking in the wings waiting for any pregnant person who dares use it as justification for eating that extra biscuit. There is clearly a really deep-seated belief at play that if you give them - us - an excuse to eat more we will gorge ourselves on, IDK, chips and ice cream, because the only thing holding us back from obesity is the constant reminder that gaining weight is BAD and that eating too much food is BAD (even though the reality is that weight gain and higher caloric needs are part of a healthy pregnancy). This reality has to be held at arms' length and hemmed in with restrictions and cautions lest all hell break loose. You are very literally advised to calculate your BMI, weigh yourself regularly, and have a target weight gain - i.e. implicitly to restrict your food intake if your weight gain is higher - which I'm sure is just chill and fabulous for people with a history or present of eating disorders.
(The cherry on top of this is that it's normal for pregnant people to have suppressed appetites in late pregnancy despite needing more food because, again, there is an entire baby in there squashing their organs. Add in all those foods that you can't eat, and it can actually be somewhat challenging to eat enough.)
The bit that haunts me is that we know that caloric restriction during pregnancy makes children more likely to have higher weights later on, and you know who is most targeted with this diet-but-don't-diet-but-actually-kinda-do rhetoric? Fat people, who are advised to gain at absolute most about the weight of a healthy full-term baby + amniotic fluid/placenta/etc - and that it's fine if they gain much less weight than that, barely more than the weight of a healthy baby, which would actually equate to total weight loss. During pregnancy. It feels like there could be a lot of self-fulfilling prophecy going on here vis a vis fat parents having fat kids. which is now sometimes characterised as a form of child abuse. FUN.
Anyway, I am sure I'm not the only person to have made these observations (and if you know good writing on this topic I'd love to be linked to it, because I'm way too chicken to try Googling) but man. As I said at the start: the level at which fatphobia and diet culture are institutionalised during pregnancy, to the detriment of actual health, is wild.
(For my money, sane advice would be 'healthy eating advice is the same during pregnancy as it is other times except for the specific foods you should avoid because of increased food poisoning risk, and you need to eat a bit more in later pregnancy. The end.')

Pregnant with Thrawn's Baby 🤰 - a headcanon
Tumblr media
This is probably the longest hc I've written so far. Took me some time to do some research since I'm childless.
❗Warnings: angst, mention of miscarriage and death (neither happens dw) non-graphic childbirth❗
Reader's gender is not mentioned but they have female reproductive organs.
Taglist: @bingbongooo @dance-like-russia-isnt-watching @ele-millennial-weirdo @enaelyork @jesslove23 @thrawnalani @thrawnsboots @twincesskorisoka @davesrightshoe @shoe-bag @blackddarling @obbicrystaleo
Tumblr media
You have been married to Thrawn for quite some time and the thought of having a baby crossed your mind on several occasions by now…
When you finally tell him about it and ask if he would be up to being a father, he's surprised at first. He never really considered the idea. You're the love of his life and the only person in the entire Galaxy he would trust to have his child. So after a moment of getting used to the idea of fatherhood, he agrees that he wants to try for a baby with you.
When you finally get pregnant, it makes the idea of becoming parents so much more real for both of you. It's an overwhelming feeling neither of you have ever known. There is something special growing inside your belly, something whose wellbeing exceeds your own.
Thrawn hires the best doctors of his fleet to take care of your medical needs during your pregnancy.
You receive troubling news early into your pregnancy. The doctor tells you that it's quite common for hybrid pregnancies to end in miscarriages due to the body rejecting a fetus where half of the DNA is not of the same species.
That fear sticks with you throughout your pregnancy, but thankfully your body does not reject your baby.
Thrawn makes sure you don't get stressed. He's really worried stress could trigger a miscarriage. He spoils you more than usual and takes as much time as he can for you.
He loves to see how pregnancy changes your body. He doesn't mind if you gain a few pounds and says that means there's just more for him to touch. He loves your stretch marks, he sees a beautiful artistic pattern in them. To him they're art, and he shows his appreciation for art of any kind. This one though he worships not just with compliments but also with kisses.
There is also a clear difference to non-hybrid pregnancies. Look, with a hybrid the body has to grow a child whose DNA is 50% foreign, which makes it a lot harder. It really takes a toll on you.
Aside from common pregnancy symptoms like fluid retention, breast pain and an appetite for the strangest food combos, symptoms of a hybrid pregnancy include a kind of fatigue where you are often too weak to do more than the most necessary tasks like eating, drinking and if lucky taking a shower. You're just soo tired, and slightly depressed really. You wanted your pregnancy to be an exciting time in your life and even have a baby shower celebration. Plans you cancel due to the seemingly never ending fatigue.
Tbh your current state scares Thrawn. And this man is rarely scared of anything. He's super worried to the point where his thoughts wander to you during work hours when he's usually focused on his work only.
Everyone on the Chimera knows about your pregnancy and rumors about your wellbeing are making the rounds. The crew, especially on the bridge, is supportive and understanding, knowing the weight on Thrawn's shoulders is immense right now.
When he returns from his job, he cuddles up next to you, cradling your swollen belly in his large hand. The baby often moves when he touches your belly or when he simply talks to you.
You become a regular in the medbay during those nine months. You lose weight despite eating enough and get heart palpitations.
Thrawn feels guilty for putting you in this situation. You both want a baby, but at what cost? He's worried your body won't recover from this. He always calculates every possible outcome, and now he's confronted with the possibility of you not surviving.
The doctors tell Thrawn that you’re unlikely to die though, and that you will make a full recovery after the baby is born.
He reads up on parenting while looking after you. He absorbs the knowledge of those helpful holobooks like a sponge, saving it for later.
He has mixed feelings. He's scared something could go wrong and he ends up having to raise your baby alone, on the other hand he's excited and looking forward to meet this little creature you're carrying.
You manage to carry the baby to term. You’re in bed watching your comfort holoshow when you go into labor. Thrawn isn’t with you, but he gave you a comlink for emergencies.
He's there in a heartbeat and won't leave your side. He takes you to the medbay and holds your hand the entire time.
Eli Vanto drops by and brings Thrawn caf and for you your favorite snack. Weeks prior you and Thrawn have asked him if he wants to be the godfather of your child in case something happens to the both of you. Eli felt honored and agreed.
You lose any sense of time during labor. It's just hour after hour of pain. Thrawn remains by your side, not once leaving. You have never seen him with shadows under his eyes before, even when he claims that he's not tired, which is clearly a lie.
When your baby’s first scream fills the air, something shifts inside your heart. You get the overwhelming need to care and provide for your newborn.
The nurse droid hands your baby to its father. He tells you it's a girl and kisses you, smiling into the kiss. He's not even hiding his emotions at this special moment. Thrawn is not someone who would cry, but you notice how his eyes look glassy when he looks at his baby daughter.
He cuts the umbilical cord and takes her to clean her up. As expected, fatherhood looks good on him!
When he returns her to your chest you breastfeed her for the very first time. That's when you finally get a good look at her. She has (your h/c) fuzz on her little head and her (your s/c) skin has a blue hue to it. Her bright eyes have white scleras like a human, but her irises are crimson, typical for Chiss, just like the ridges on her forehead.
Thrawn can't take his eyes off her either. He's fascinated by her, in awe that he was capable of helping to create something so beautiful. He thinks she looks like art - absolutely extraordinary. He has never seen a Human-Chiss hybrid in person, only heard rumors in the Ascendency.
You agreed on names for either gender months prior. You’re gonna name her Mitth’>add Chiss name of your choice here<
The news of the Chimera’s newest crewmember spreads rapidly. Soon friends of yours wait by the medbay and Thrawn steps out to officially announce the birth of your child to them.
Thrawn sends Eli in to look after you two. When he holds your daughter for the first time he's immediately enraptured with her. He knows there's nothing in the Galaxy he wouldn't do for this tiny bundle of joy.
After delivering your daughter you need a lot of time to recover. You help as much as you can but it takes weeks for you to get back on your feet.
Having another life depending on you can be very demanding for both your mental and physical health. Thrawn makes sure you eat healthy and take your vitamins. He works less hours and his crew is more supportive than ever. It's a shame he can't just go and take paternity leave.
You quickly learn that a baby has the communication skills of an alarm clock. You miss the deep naps you took during your pregnancy where barely anything could wake you up.
When Thrawn isn’t at work he helps you with your daughter in any way he can. You can always count on him when it comes to your little one. You see the pride shining in his crimson eyes whenever he looks at her, or talks about her. He also wants to hold her all the time.
For the first time there is something more important to Thrawn than his primary mission. You came into his life, showed him what falling in love is like, accepted him with all his flaws and became the mother of his child. You and your daughter mean more to him than his service to the Empire or the Chiss Ascendency. He would tear down the Galaxy if it meant keeping the two loves of his life safe.
Thrawn dreams of taking you and your child to the Ascendency one day. He wants to introduce you to his family and for your daughter to learn about her heritage.
Tumblr media
You read that right, it's up to you 🫵🏻 to name your Chiss daughter. Let us know in the comments what you chose to name her, if you like.
The next headcanon will be pure family fluff. 🥹

I did multi womb math. I could only find monthly milestones, so it'll have to be nine wombs. I also searched "woman average sizes" so idk how accurate some of the numbers are. I used the average baby weight a birth being 8 pounds. Weight is in pounds, uterus volume is in cubic inches
My math is: Standard singleton: 50 lbs gained and uterus volume is 470 cu in. Standard nonuplets: 225 lbs gained and uterus volume is 4238 cu in. Mutliwomb: 165 lbs gained and uterus volume 1608 cu in.
You guess was close, maybe even right, I can't tell. The closest I could get for uterus volume without changing baby weight was quads (1608 for multi, 1883 for quads) but the mutliwomb still gained 50 lbs more overall. It probably evens out but a lot would have to got to the hips/butt to stand such a belly. I imagine the lower volume is due to how little space any of the first few months take up, especially the first month which listed no change except for the high order multiples.
Other things and details I wanted to address about this mutliwomb. Morning sickness is caused by hormone changes, but always being pregnant means there is no imbalance, no sickness. I have no clue how to calculate breast growth or milk production. Finally, the pregnancy weight should eventually plateau as they fall into the schedule of birthing every month, but I'm curious if they would still have cravings.
This is how you know you're in too deep, when you're willing to do MATH for your kink. I'm proud! Averages are close enough in my opinion, there's wiggle room in a situation like this. Someone undergoing this rotating pregnancy would have to be super bottom heavy, both to support the immense weight, and have wide hips for the regular births. Makes sense it's considerably less than straight nonuplets, only one baby is full size at a time. I'm not sure if morning sickness would be an issue or not... on one hand, a body going through that constant rotation would probably be a hormonal nightmare... though in this hypothetical situation there may be some ways to stabilize it to make it more bearable. On the other hand, I guess it would depend on which baby the body is producing hormones' for, if it's regularly for the oldest one than you're right, it'd be much more even. Weight would definitely plateau, probably only fluctuating due to the removal of one of the babies before the next one grew to take their place as biggest little guy. I think cravings would remain, cause those tend to come from the pregnant person in question needing specific nutrients for the baby (need vitamin c? Crave oranges). So growing such a constant brood would still necessitate an income of specific nutrients. I think if anything they would get really strong but also maybe the craved items in question would be more consistent... but then again every pregnancy is different so... could be all over the place. What I'm learning here is that this situation has so many variables it's really up to interpretation on its execution, unless a maiesiophile biology major has more insight.
Oh and one last thing... to put into perspective the size of belly this person would have...
Tumblr media
The belly would be big enough to functionally hold 7 goddamn gallons... and as explained above, it'd be 165 lbs, just from pregnancy.
Hot shit...

If I had to describe my 1/2 ton piggy without mentioning size or weight, I'd call you determined and influential. You were determined to lose weight and that was the only time I ever convinced you otherwise. Once you decided to gain on purpose, not from holidays or babies or even me, but just you wanting to get fatter, I couldn't stop you if I tried. Learning you weighed over 1200 pounds made you want to break two thousand.
Influential because your weight gain couldn't be kept to yourself. Our nanny, a eager feeder, and her sister, a professional chef, ballooned after spending so much time caring after you and the babies. The nanny became a plump 300 and the chef, a hefty 400. They had big bellies, but both were bottom heavy. You enjoyed seeing them waddle around, still mobile but unable to walk normally.
But that's enough about others, let's focus on your next pregnancy. You told me give you all I got, so I really pumped you full. Even with all the fat, the 18 babies made a noticeable bump. They gave us the boost you needed to jumpstart the home stretch of one ton.
Your cravings turned you into an bottomless hole. You ate food every waking moment, your stomach being pack full constantly. When we managed to get all 22 kids asleep, it took all three of us to keep you satisfied. Because of your size, we couldn't tell how fast you were gaining. But we knew you were piling on the pounds.
This was our routine for months. You woke up, ate, ate more, and kept eating until you finally knockout in a food coma. And I couldn't be prouder. You had become more of a pig than I could have possibly hoped for. You grunted and moaned in pleasure, only ever telling us "more" to which we would struggle to even find anything "more" to feed you.
You grew until every part of you was drenched in fat. You pushed your daily calorie intake bigger everyday. You had no idea just how big you had become, only focusing on getting bigger. A few years back, I needed a new desk chair.
I'm 5'9". At the time, I was a bit over 200lbs, and wore a women's size 14 - literally the average for an American woman. (🏳️‍⚧️ I no longer wear a women's any size. Just so that's clear. 🏳️‍⚧️) And my husband and I were trying to have a baby.
I wandered Staples for a bit and picked out a comfy chair in my price range. Then I saw the weight limit. It was 250lbs. I was not 250lbs. But I couldn't help thinking, what if I gain even a little more weight than "recommended" during pregnancy? What if I get postpartum psych stuff and end up on meds that make me gain weight? And when I restarted my search, I discovered that this was actually the highest weight any of the not-specifically-fat chairs were rated for.
In the end, I bought the clearance floor model Fat Chair rated for up to 500lbs, fuming about how an average sized person can't just buy a chair, wondering how many people don't notice the weight limit, unsure of how or even whether the weight limit is tested or calculated or maybe just a number pulled out of some rando's ass, whether I actually needed the Fat Chair or if this is just part of corporate America's attempt to shame us into hating ourselves, because - I mean, I've never seen someone break a chair? If this many chairs are really only safe for 175 and below wouldn't that happen a lot more?
All of which is to say, yeah. If the world can't even handle someone who's average sized, just think how impossible it is to navigate when you're well above that.
We don’t talk enough about the systemic health effects of casual fatphobia and how much they fucking skew the data to the point where we literally cannot know how much outcomes are actually related to fatness and how much they are related to society not being designed for fat people, like literal design.
My best friend cannot find a bra.
She’s fat. We won’t get into the ~why~ here because it honestly wouldn’t matter whether it was “all her fault” or whether it was a result of outside forces like genes and such, she still deserves a goddamn fucking bra that fits.
And she cannot find a bra.
She’s short and fat, and Fat Bras are usually full cup, but because she’s short the full cups are usually too tall, or the armbands around them are too tall, to the point where what’ll fit around her chest and over her boobs will also dig up into her arms or have such high coverage that she literally cannot wear a shirt with a neckline high enough. Any bra that goes out enough goes too high.
This affects her ability to find clothing, impacting her ability to go outside sometimes, because she has this tiny selection of bras and she constantly has to wash them and when they’re gone she has no idea when she’ll next be able to find another unicorn bra. They appear in a flash usually in startups that die soon after, and COVID has killed most the small businesses remaining where she had even a hint of a chance of finding a fitting bra.
So she wears bras that don’t fit. Or she doesn’t leave the house. One gives her back pain. The other is, obviously, not very active. She likes to be active.
If she brings it up, people suggest breast reduction surgery.
But the thing is, with a good bra, she does not get back pain.
But if it’s that hard to find a good bra, they say, wouldn’t a reduction just be easier?
Wouldn’t it be easier for you to chop off part of your flesh, they say, then for us to cut fabric and underwire to more sizes? As if that is normal. As if that isn’t horrifying.
It’s not just bras. It’s chairs. It’s benches. It’s goddamn shoes. It’s seatbelts. It’s exercise equipment - I just got an exercise bike for Christmas. I had to shop around to find an affordable one that was also rated to take my level of fat. If I were 100 pounds heavier, which some people are? I don’t think any equipment would have existed in a price range that any working person could expect to afford. I don’t think most people even look at the weight ratings on chairs and couches and furniture. Once you start? They are lower than you think. There are absolutely 100% people you love in your life - whether really tall men or just average kinda overweight fat people - who should not be using the things they are using. Who are not getting support from their mattress, their footwear, their office chair. It might be you! You might be thinking “but I am average size!”, but the amount of furniture out there that’s only weighted to about 200lbs? Or 175??? It’s SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU REALIZE. Get into the Proper Fat? The 350lb, 400lb, 500lb fat? There’s virtually nothing.
Seatbelts are not tested for fat bodies and seatbelt extenders aren’t regulated.
We know about the problems with too small a blood pressure cuff. With too low a medicine dose. With no MRI a really fat body can fit in for a thousand miles.
We know, from multiple studies on multiple oppressed communities, that social bias by itself, with zero other compounding factors, can give people worse health outcomes.
Now add up
+ one of the social biases with the least pushback even from the educated liberal set with
+ having a world that is literally not made for you. Where you cannot get clothes, furniture, or transportation in a way that will actually accommodate you,
+ where society is constantly blaming you for this. And even if you somehow (and if you know how, please tell me) manage to retain some sense of self worth and optimism and determination despite all that
+ that’s not gonna magically give you access to the daily supplies a person needs in their home and out in public that’ll make living safe and healthy life literally physically possible.
If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health start a bra company. If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health mandate changes to seatbelt requirements. If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health have a variety of chairs in your waiting room with at least some being properly Fat Rated. If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health, make it easier for fat people to be active by making exercise equipment that fits them, swimwear that’ll actually stay on them, athletic shoes that can bear them. If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health ask they be included in more medical trials. If you’re really so concerned about fat people’s health, promote fat visibility and fat people loving their bodies - because hating yourself has literally never been good for anyone’s health.
If you’re using “concern for health” as a shield to allow you to judge and criticize strangers, you don’t give a fuck about anyone’s health. You’re just an asshole who prefers a veneer of respectability when you bully people. You’re hateful and we can see right through you.
But fatphobia isn’t just bullying. It isn’t just judgment from strangers. It isn’t just medical neglect and medical bias. Even if we could wave a wand and make all that go away, my best friend still wouldn’t have a bra that fits, people still wouldn’t have a chair that supports them, a seatbelt that protects them. It’s literally engineered in. And it slowly kills people day by day by day.

How to Use a Pregnancy Date Calculator: A Comprehensive Guide
Pregnancy is a magical journey filled with anticipation and excitement. One of the first questions expectant parents ask is, "When is my baby due?" A pregnancy date calculator can provide a helpful estimate.
Tumblr media
Understanding Pregnancy Date Calculators
A pregnancy date calculator is a simple tool that uses your last menstrual period (LMP) or the date of conception to estimate your due date. It's based on the average human pregnancy length of 40 weeks (280 days).
How it works:
LMP method: Add 9 months and 7 days to the first day of your last period.
Conception date method: Add 9 months and 3 days to the date of conception.
Note: This is an estimate, and actual due dates can vary.
Why Use a Pregnancy Date Calculator?
Planning: Helps you schedule appointments, prepare your home, and plan for maternity leave.
Tracking progress: Provides a timeline to understand where you are in your pregnancy.
Prenatal care: Assists your healthcare provider in planning appropriate screenings and tests.
Peace of mind: Offers reassurance and helps you feel more prepared.
Using a Pregnancy Date Calculator Effectively
Find a reliable calculator: Many online resources and healthcare providers offer calculators.
Input your information: Enter the first day of your last period or the date of conception.
Understand the results: The calculator will provide an estimated due date. Remember, this is an approximation.
Factors Affecting Due Date Accuracy
Menstrual cycle length: Irregular cycles can affect accuracy.
Conception date uncertainty: If you're unsure of the exact conception date, the estimate might be less precise.
Multiple pregnancies: Carrying twins or more can influence the due date.
Individual variations: Every pregnancy is unique, and due dates can vary naturally.
Tips for Using a Pregnancy Date Calculator
Consult your healthcare provider: They can provide personalized advice and address any concerns.
Track your symptoms: Monitor changes in your body to get a better sense of your pregnancy's progress.
Stay informed: Read books, articles, or join online communities to learn about pregnancy stages.
Relax and enjoy the journey: Pregnancy is a beautiful experience. Focus on staying healthy and enjoying this special time.
Understanding Pregnancy Stages
Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters, each with unique characteristics and experiences.
First Trimester (Weeks 1-12)
Major developments: Your baby's major organs and systems begin to form.
Common symptoms: Nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, frequent urination, mood swings.
Important milestones: Prenatal visits, genetic testing (if desired), ultrasound to confirm pregnancy.
Second Trimester (Weeks 13-26)
Major developments: Your baby's growth accelerates, and you may start feeling fetal movements (quickening).
Common symptoms: Less nausea and fatigue, increased energy, growing belly.
Important milestones: Detailed ultrasound, prenatal classes, planning for the baby's arrival.
Third Trimester (Weeks 27-40)
Major developments: Your baby continues to grow and gain weight, preparing for birth.
Common symptoms: Heartburn, back pain, swelling, Braxton Hicks contractions.
Important milestones: Preparing your hospital bag, attending prenatal classes, planning for labor and delivery.

How to Reduce Chest Fat?
To effectively remove chest fat, a combination of dietary changes, exercise, and lifestyle modifications is essential. This guide will explore the strategies that can help both men and women reduce chest fat, focusing on a holistic approach that promotes overall fat loss and muscle toning.
Chest fat can be particularly stubborn and is often influenced by various factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, and overall body fat percentage. In men, excess chest fat may manifest as "man boobs," a condition medically known as gynecomastia, which can be caused by hormonal imbalances, obesity, or certain medications. For women, chest fat can be linked to overall body fat and hormonal fluctuations, particularly during different life stages such as puberty, pregnancy, or menopause.
The Importance of a Caloric Deficit
The fundamental principle of losing fat, including chest fat, is to create a caloric deficit, meaning you burn more calories than you consume. This can be achieved through a combination of dietary adjustments and increased physical activity.
1. Calculate Your Daily Caloric Needs: Start by determining your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). This will help you understand how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and how many you should consume to lose weight.
2. Aim for a Moderate Caloric Deficit: A deficit of 500 to 800 calories per day is generally recommended, which can lead to a safe weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds per week. This gradual approach is more sustainable and healthier than drastic dieting.
 Dietary Changes
Adopting a balanced diet is crucial for fat loss. Here are some dietary strategies to help reduce chest fat:
Prioritise Whole Foods: Focus on whole, unprocessed foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. These foods are nutrient-dense and can help you feel full while consuming fewer calories.
Limit Sugars and Refined Carbs: Reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks, as well as refined carbohydrates, which can lead to weight gain and increased fat storage.
Monitor Portion Sizes: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating. Using smaller plates and serving sizes can help control calorie intake.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can aid in weight loss by promoting satiety and reducing calorie intake.
Exercise Regimen
Incorporating both cardiovascular and strength training exercises is essential for losing chest fat and toning the chest area.
Cardiovascular Exercise
Regular cardio is effective for burning calories and promoting overall fat loss. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio per week, which can include:
- Running or jogging
- Cycling
- Swimming
- High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
- Jump rope or stair climbing
Strength Training
Building muscle in the chest area can help tone the muscles and improve the overall appearance of the chest. Effective exercises include:
Push-ups: A classic exercise that targets the chest, shoulders, and triceps. Variations like wide-grip push-ups can further engage the chest muscles.
Bench Press: Using a barbell or dumbbells, this exercise effectively targets the pectoral muscles.
Chest Fly: Performed with dumbbells, this exercise helps to isolate and strengthen the chest muscles.
Dips: Utilising parallel bars or sturdy chairs, dips can effectively work the chest and triceps.
Sample Weekly Workout Plan
Monday: 30 minutes of running + Push-ups (3 sets of 10-15 reps)
Tuesday: Strength training (Bench press and Chest fly, 3 sets of 10-12 reps each)
Wednesday: 30 minutes of cycling + Dips (3 sets of 8-12 reps)
Thursday: HIIT workout (20-30 minutes)
Friday: Rest or light activity (walking, yoga)
Saturday: 30 minutes of swimming + Strength training (focus on upper body)
Sunday: Rest or light activity
 Lifestyle Modifications
In addition to diet and exercise, consider the following lifestyle changes to support fat loss:
Get Enough Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night, as inadequate sleep can disrupt hormones related to hunger and fat storage.
Manage Stress: High stress levels can lead to weight gain, particularly in the abdominal and chest areas. Incorporate stress-reducing activities such as meditation, yoga, or deep-breathing exercises.
Track Your Progress: Keeping a food journal or using a fitness app can help you stay accountable and monitor your caloric intake and exercise routines.
 Medical Considerations
If you find that diet and exercise are not yielding the desired results, or if you suspect that hormonal imbalances are contributing to chest fat, consult a healthcare professional. They can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation, including potential medical interventions if necessary.

Ancient “Mountain Tea” activates 24/7 fat-burning
Conclusion
Removing chest fat requires a multifaceted approach that combines a caloric deficit, healthy eating, regular exercise, and lifestyle modifications. By understanding the factors contributing to chest fat and implementing these strategies, you can achieve a healthier body composition and improve your overall well-being. Patience and consistency are key, as sustainable fat loss takes time and dedication.

Understanding pregnancy weight gain
An important part of pregnancy is weight gain during the journey. However, it is important to understand the factors influencing weight gain and the recommended guidelines to ensure a healthy outcome.
Factors influencing pregnancy weight gain
Several factors contribute to the amount of weight a woman gains during pregnancy. These factors include pre-pregnancy weight, genetics, age, and overall health. It is important to note that every woman is different, and weight gain can vary from person to person.
Recommended weight gain guidelines
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) provides guidelines according to a woman's pre-pregnancy weight; she gains weight during pregnancy through body mass index (BMI). These guidelines aim to ensure healthy outcomes for both the mother and the baby. By following these guidelines, you can manage your weight gain effectively and minimize the risk of complications.
The Role of a pregnancy weight gain calculator
An allcalculator.net’s Pregnancy Weight Gain Calculator monitors and tracks your weight gain and is made easier with this tool throughout your pregnancy. It provides an estimate of the recommended weight gain based on your pre-pregnancy BMI and stage of pregnancy.

Consulting with a healthcare professional or creating a customized meal plan with the help of a registered dietitian can make eating healthier easier.
Regular exercise and physical activity: Staying active during pregnancy can have numerous benefits, including managing weight gain, improving mood, boosting energy levels, and reducing the risk of gestational diabetes. After consulting with your healthcare provider, walk, swim, or practice prenatal yoga as low-impact exercises. Adjust as needed based on what your body tells you. And this can be easily tracked by allcalculator.net’s Pregnancy Weight Gain Calculator.
Adequate hydration: Drinking enough water is crucial for overall health and maintaining proper bodily functions. Staying hydrated can help prevent constipation, regulate body temperature, and support healthy blood flow to the placenta.
Managing stress and getting enough rest: Pregnancy can be emotional, and managing stress is essential for your well-being. Meditation can be a good way to relax, do deep breathing exercises, or get a prenatal massage. Additionally, prioritize getting enough rest and sleep to support your body's needs during this time of growth and development.
Conclusion
Staying healthy during pregnancy is vital for both the mother and the baby. As an OB/GYN, I often hear the question, "How much weight should I gain during pregnancy?"Finding the perfect answer may not be a universal solution, but it is a crucial query. Keeping a balanced weight during pregnancy can lower the chances of health issues related to birthing a baby that is either oversized or undersized.Excessive weight gain during pregnancy can raise the likelihood of developing complications such as:PreeclampsiaGestational diabetesBaby experiencing shoulder dystocia during deliveryIncreased chances of an unplanned C-sectionDifficulty shedding postpartum weightFalling short of the recommended weight gain can also pose risks. Infants with a lower birth weight (less than five pounds and eight ounces) may encounter challenges in breastfeeding, combating infections, and reaching developmental milestones.

OOC: Hi! I'm unfamiliar with the game this blog is being based on, could you tell us a little more about it so we have some context for the roleplaying, please?
OOC: Sure thing! And don’t worry about being out of the loop, because I’m 99% sure that no one in this community other than myself have even heard about the game (and that remaining 1% is the mutual that I introduced to it like two years ago).
Answer is below the cut since it's a little long winded... ^_^;
Free Cities started off as some horny dude’s big titty, bimbo, futa, slave management sandbox game and has over the years mutated into becoming the more diverse, kinkier version it is today. The original version is defunct, having been basically abandoned by it’s creator (I think due to irl scheduling issues), so the current edition is a mod of the game called Pregmod. It added in the semi controversial game play mechanic of pregnancy.
Along the course of this mod branch’s existence, the weightgaming community made a mod of the mod adding in stuffing and more advanced weight gain aspects to the game. The Pregmod peeps saw this and integrated most of the changes made by the WG mod into the Pregmod version and it has been happily updated every few months ever since (notably adding in male/NB pronouns and names).
(Oh yeah, there was also the great furry debate of twenty twenty something or another. That ended with the furries kind of winning in the end, since we now have surgery options to make your slaves have more animal like appearances.)
There’s a lot of really dark and honestly kind of illegal shit that various community members have added over the years, which you can turn off and disable btw, but I just ignore those options and stick to the breast growth, butt growth, dick and ball growth, weight gain and stuffing aspects of the game. Hell, I’m not even really that fond of the slavery aspect of it and choose to treat them as close to a normal citizen as the game allows me (within the context of dub-con changing their body’s appearance and mobility).
To better answer your question now that I’ve gotten some history and the basics out of the way, I will be playing the game as usual:
Make changes to or interact with the slaves Hit the END WEEK button Game will calculate changes to the slaves and spit out generated flavor text about their growth and emotional state Short one-on-one scene will play with a particular slave Week ends and the next begins
I will write about any changes I make and the results of those changes as entries to this blog and y’all can follow along with how the slaves change and grow. You can also ask questions to either me (like you just did), the Mistress or the slaves. Or Strawberry if you’re into that?
There will be some other male, female and NB characters that will basically be randomly generated OCs made by the game to fill in the gaps of the arcology. Maids, prostitutes, hucows, etc.
I hope this super long, non-kinky post helped to answer any questions you had about the game and this blog!
