reading goals 2025:

read 120 books! higher than my previous goal, but lower than I've read in the past few years since I don't want this to be onerous

read at least 15 nonfiction books

get the books on my windowsills down to 10 and keep them roughly there

read 15+ out of the ~25 unread books on my shelves

read the assorted manga volumes I own

lilith's brood reread, plus additional butler (kindred maybe?)

Do you guys use bluesky? Do you enjoy it? I know it's twitter shaped so I'm hesitant to try it bc I really struggle with how twitter interactions work as someone who has only ever used tumblr, dA (pre2010), and like pre2010 forums. But I want to post nsf-w fandom stuff without tumblr getting up my ass about it and I heard it's okay there.

Would love to hear some user feedback about the actual socializing, usability, and like... how fandoms congregate there before making an account

The one absolute must I'd want if Ouran ever got a reboot/ redone anime that follows the manga is, it must be kept in within the that 2000s / pre2010 era it was written just cause it deserves to a time capsule.

It doesn't need to be updated or modernized, or try to aim it towards gaining new fans. Give em flip phones and floppy discs, pander to the audience whom already love and adore it- and any new fans will come if it truly is something that interests them.

but now it’s the pre2010 kids! but I guess this one isn’t saying that kids nowadays forgot about them, they just don’t care. So sad that I’m raising my kids in a world where children don’t care about birds. Or forget about them idk

I had the weirdest dream where Disney made a Disney channel original movie (pre2010) and the entire plot was supposed to be the office but for kids

I’ve never seen the office but I’m pretty confident in saying it has nothing to do with an all girls school (+one boy) and if people didn’t feel loved they turned into mice

(There was also a sequel made with claymation for some reason and the main characters (now adults) somehow offended the clay people and were arrested and brought to a different world)

Even if you're not into videogames, this shit is important. Video games, end of the day, are an artform. From programming, to graphic design, to special effects, to storytelling; they're art. A lot of videogames from pre2010 were passion projects for the team with blood sweat and tears woven into them. We can't afford to lose that.

Even keeping the memory alive using HD remakes is still viable because it requires developers to reflect on the original copies for accuracy. Sonic Generations was 90% homage to previous and most popular titles. Most notably, the Team got a chance to do Perfect Chaos the justice it did get the first time around

I'm frustrated with instagram and twitter and I really just looking for a better way to make friends and hopefully tumblr is smaller.

I hated that I felt like talking to people on there felt pitiful because every time I got ignored or somebody would subscribe and then never talk to me again and unsubscribe after a little while...instagram is better tho...

Probably will get the same thing. I miss the internet pre2010 where it was easier to talk to people and not some sort of clout thing.

Anyways, if I make friends here or not I'll just post stuff on here I'm proud of to free up storage on my phone.

I like dance, vocaloid, games, and drawing manga.

So I will most likely post dance videos or stuff about manga.

(I think the bigger problem is I don't like retweeting or reblogging tho so probably I won't get anything out if tumblr either. It's more of an organizational thing. It feels like I am claiming stuff is mine when I put it in my feed. If you want to know what I like just look at my likes...)
