i hate this new discourse around ya and fanfic that's like "ooooh well all books are written by white men ya and fanfic are activism/revolutionary bcs its all women and poc and lgbt people blah blah blah" as IF there isnt a PLETHORA of incredibly good and interesting books written by lgbt people and poc and women out there just bcs everyone is too damn lazy to type in "books by gay ppl" into google.

#also as IF classics and books are nul because of their age #like OBVIOUSLY you have no obligation to read a book with gross misoginist undertones #but to act like all literature pre2010 is problematic and cancelled #bcs you're too lazy to disect exactly WHY does things are wrong and actually engage with the literature u read #🏹
