SALVATION PRAYER REQUEST

Hey Christian Tumblr, I'm just reaching out to ask any and all of you to pray this Christmas. Will you join me in praying that a lot of people will receive Jesus this year? Christmas is a time for miracles, and there is no bigger miracle than a soul receiving salvation. So please join me in praying for the lost, whether those would be the wayward Christians, the ones who have fallen away, those who have never heard the gospel, or those who have heard it and have so far rejected it. Please join me in prayer. Let's help bring God's children back to their true Home. Thank you all. ❤️

FAITH IS not simply an intellectual experience of a statement of fact. It is our personal trust and confidence in Him of whom the fact is true. We are not saved merely because we believe that Jesus Christ died for us on the Cross. We are saved because we trust in Him who died.

Matt 22:36-40 [WEB] “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Prayer of salvation:

Father in Heaven, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I ask, in your grace and compassion on me, your forgiveness for my sins (or my halfhearted faith), and I ask that you wash me clean from my sins and the guilt of my sins in the blood of Jesus. Make me free from my sins. I agree to repent of my sins and to turn to you to serve and obey you as my God and to put my trust in you. I ask that you give me the Holy Spirit to help me and enable me to live the true Christian life, so that I may be saved from the Kingdom of Darkness and Hell, and be received in the Kingdom of Heaven. I believe that you hear this prayer and do for me what I asked. I praise your holy Name because you saved me in the Name of Jesus. I ask that you guide me to a Spirit-filled church where I can have fellowship with other Christians and where I can receive guidance. I thank you that you love me and care for me from now on. Help me when I read and study your Bible, and teach me to praise and worship you, and to pray. Help me and enable me to love you and be devoted to you and be loyal to you with all my heart and mind and strength, and to love people. I thank you, Father. I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

“In order to give us His righteousness, the perfect Savior willingly chose to bear the consequences of our sin.”

“In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus repeatedly prayed that “this cup” would pass from Him (Matt. 26:39-44). Christ was staring into a cup of wrath, sin, and judgment that must have made His soul recoil (Isaiah 51:17). According to Scripture, Jesus didn’t just die for our sin; He became our sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). The holy, perfect Lamb of God took on Himself all that was vile and dark—and He understood the consequences of taking on our sin.

Jesus had always enjoyed perfect oneness with the Father. But God’s holiness was incompatible with the presence of sin, which is why Jesus felt “forsaken” on the cross (Matthew 27:46). There was never any question about whether He’d obey His Father’s will—the Son would become sin and experience the punishment for it if that’s what was required to save us. So, yes, in the garden, He pleaded for another route to our redemption. However, when the Father made clear there was no other way, Jesus obediently—and lovingly—gave Himself up for humanity.

Jesus Christ sacrificed more than His life. He exchanged perfection for punishment. Our Savior did this so we could be transformed into righteous men and women with an eternal future. No wonder all of heaven exalts Him. And we should as well!”
