Honestly, glad to see another Psycholonials fan

im only like up to chapter 4 but gosh what a visual novel! Might become my new second place favorite Hussian Literature. Legit mad I hadnt read it sooner!!

ignoring the meta commentary on hussie's relationship with homestuck and how fun that is, GOD Z is such a good character. I cant get enough of their antics he is so much fun. She dripping with charisma yet is digging a hole so deep. Cant wait to see that sword fall where it pleases.

and GOSH the art !! people complained about it but like god damn the style is dripping with intent and emotion. Also its just dang funny! The faces the poses when its not serious its hilarious. N every time i see dif pixels on top of one another i giggle remembering how mad people got at this objectively amazing art direction.

Also am slowly constructing a clownsona as I type this, and lord i got so many sketches and fan art ideas in my head, but am waiting till i finish the comic to put pen to paper etc

Gonna commit pranxis so hard hopefully I can get one more person into it! Mad it doesnt have a bigger fandom but ALSO as a homestuck elder im kinda glad the community around Psycholonials is just kinda, small and chill? if that makes sense.

Psychocolonials Chapter 2

Alright, so at this point I am desperately looking for a reason to not instinctively dislike the main two characters. Instagram Influencers, one of whom shot a cop in a drunk driving incident. They are stuck at home and reliant upon the internet for social interaction, which is relatable.

But I dunno. While on a subjective level awful statements like this can be forgiven due to how friendship and hyperbole(and in Z’s case regarding chapter one, hyPObole), it’s tough to root for them. Is it like another way of seeing Vriska? Is Abby spiderman, and Z just Vriska, leading the metaphorical simps to the metaphorical instagram spider? 

Also, this is a world where the posters use instagram. I guess what makes me all suspicious and the like is WHY DOES A SINGLE COPY OF A MANlFESTO BEING SHOT MATTER? 

I bought a mechanical typewriter in an attempt to understand why one would care about one physical copy of a MANUSCRIPT/MANlFESTO, and came to the conclusion that it’s all just a scam as per usual. Or a game of old maid, where the old maid gets the blame.

Anyways, here’s the mentioning of Pranxis. Seems like a portmanteau of “Pranks” and “Praxis”, the latter idea of which I heard from some random youtuber is part of putting communism into practice. This work is by Andrew Hussie though(or at claims to be, does Andrew Hussie even exist? Is Andrew Hussie just like a pseudonym like Alan Smithee or Stephen King?), so any “pranks” I will be extremely wary of, since in Homestuck and other works by him pranks escalate and turn what should be a comedy into horror, and tragedy. Like clockwork, even when the clock don’t work. Ah but maybe I’m wrong and my expectations of good things happening won’t be subverted. Again. 

Bonus: 

I spot a few Rick and Morty references here, and also a Garfield reference. Can YOU make sense of the other references? Is there ANY POINT WHATSOEVER to doing so?
