INTRODUCTION Airway management includes a set of maneuvers and medical procedures performed to prevent and relieve airway obstruction. Due to obstruction in the airway the life of the individual is in danger so use of airway management modalities will help to save the individual’s life. These modalities ensures an open pathway which provide breath to the lungs through the atmospheric air and mechanical support to secure life. The study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge on airway management among Nursing student. The main objectives of study were to assess the knowledge on airway management modalities and to associate the level of knowledge with selected demographic variables. A Quantitative research approach with Descriptive research design was used to evaluate the knowledge regarding airway management modalities. A sample of 60nursing students were selected by convenient sampling technique. structured questionnaire was used to obtain data from the sample . Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics on the basis of objective of the study RESULT The result of the study shows that out of 60 samples 13 21.66 having good knowledge 45 75.3 having average knowledge and 2 3.33 having poor knowledge regarding airway management modalities. with regard to mean and standard deviation of knowledge shows 17.3 and 3.92 respectively. CONCLUSION The study concludes that, the knowledge level of students regarding airway management modalities associated airway management is average, the study suggest that proper teaching and adequate training on airway management will be helpful for the students to gain knowledge.

NEW DELHI: Capital markets regulator Sebi has barred Greencrest Financial Services, two of its executive directors and 15 others from capital markets for three years for fraudulent trading.During the period of restraint, the existing holding of securities, including the units of mutual funds, will remain under freeze, the regulator said in an order on Friday.Besides Greencrest Financial Services Ltd, Prem Lata Nahar, Shyam Kanheyalal Vyas, Raj Kumar Sharma, Sarita Pradip Bissa, Puspal Chandra, Ravishankar Mishra, Mina Chandra, Sanjoy Kumar Chandra, Pushpa Asoolal Bissa, Dilip Kumar Mandal, Priti Kothari, Sunil Parakh, Aditya Parakh, Gulistan Vanijya Pvt Ltd, PS IT Infrastructure Services Ltd, JMD Sounds Ltd and Ravindra Kumar Grover have been restrained from the capital market.Sebi had conducted an investigation into the trading in the scrip of Greencrest Financial Services from March, 2012 to July 2015.The trading pattern adopted by the entities together clearly demonstrates their ill-intentioned design to inflate the price of the scrip through artificial and manipulative trades, Sebi said.It was further revealed that the buyer entities kept placing orders in larger quantities in the early hours of market and the seller entities matched the price offered by buyer entitled around the closing of the market, but released their shares in smaller quantities for executing their trades thereby extending an active helping hand to the buyers to contribute to the last trading price (LTP) of the price of the scrip with each of their trades.It further noted that these buy orders were placed knowing well that there is no volume in the scrip and there was no noteworthy positive information available in the public domain in favour of the financial affairs of the company which could have inspired them to buy the shares of the company in large quantities at any cost.In fact, the buyer entities had received funds from entities connected to the company.Sebi noted that Sunil Parakh and Aditya Parakh were executive directors of Greencrest Financial Services and therefore, were undoubtedly at the helm of the affairs of the company during the relevant period.The company being a legal entity cannot function on its own and can act only as a result of the control exercised over it by the directors appointed on its board.Both of them, being directors of the company, did not make any submission to demonstrate to the contrary or to suggest that the acts attributed to the company were without their involvement, consent or indulgence.Also, they were part of the pre-mediated scheme or artifice along with the company whose affairs they managed at the relevant point in time that was skilfully executed through other entities in the trading of the scrip of Greencrest during the investigation period.By indulging in such activities, the entities have violated the provisions of PFUTP (Prohibition of fraudulent and unfair trade practices) Regulations, Sebi said. from Economic Times https://ift.tt/2UmmPkC

Orissa High Court: A Single Judge Bench of Dr A.K. Rath, J., dismissed the petition which challenged the order of the trial court whereby the Court allowed the application of the defendant filed under Order 7 Rule 11(c) CPC and directed the plaintiff to pay ad-valorem court fees.

The facts of the case are as that the plaintiff-petitioner had instituted the suit for declaration of title and declaration that the sale deed executed by him in favor of the defendant as null and void. The litigation started between the parties and the defendant filed an application under Order 7 Rule 11(c) CPC stating that the plaintiff had instituted the suit for declaration that the registered sale deed as void. They contended that the plaintiff was the executant of the sale deed, he sought its cancellation and therefore He should pay ad-valorem court fees. Plaintiff filed an objection to the said application and their counsel, Mr Samir Kumar Mishra and Mr S. Rout contended that the sale deed was a nominal one and no consideration was passed and thus the plaintiff could put his own valuation and pay the court fees.

The Court, relying on the Umakanta Das v. Pradip Kumar Ray, 1986 SCC OnLine Ori 11, dismissed the petition and upheld the order of the trial court, directing the petitioners to pay the ad valorem court fees. [Kumar Soumyakanta Bisoi v. Banita Panda, C.M.P. No. 1455 of 2018, decided on 18-12-2018]

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], Dec (ANI): A seven-member search committee headed by Justice Amitabh Ray has been constituted for the appointment of Lokayukta in the state. Other members of the search committee include Professor Venkata Rao Rambhatla, Sanjib Hota, Dr Rabi Narayan Bohidar, Gopal Nanda, Dr Bidhubhusan Samal, and Professor Snigdha Patnaik. The selection committee of the Lokayukta under the Chairmanship of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Orissa High Court Chief Justice, Justice KS Jhaveri set up the search committee on Monday. Speaker of the Assembly Pradip Amar, leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Narasingh Mishra and former Judge SC AK Patnaik was also present in the meeting. Odisha was the first State to pass the Lokayukta Bill in the Assembly in February 2014, however even four years since its passage the government is yet to appoint Lokayukta. The search committee is mandated to recommend names for Lokayukta chairperson and its member within one month. "The 7-member search committee has been given one month time to submit their recommendation to the selection committee regarding the names," said AK Meena, convener of the selection committee.(ANI)

Security analyst and columnist Abhijit Iyer-Mitra has been arrested in connection with his alleged derogatory remarks on Konark Sun Temple, Odisha and its culture, police said today.This was informed to the media by Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty.The Commissionerate Police arrested Iyer-Mitra after hours of interrogation at an undisclosed location in the city.Mohanty said Iyer-Mitra was arrested in connection with a criminal case registered against him at Saheed Nagar Police Station on September 20.He has been booked under IPC Sections 294, 295A, 153A, 500, 506 and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.Later in the evening, Iyer-Mitra was produced before the SDJM Court here. He was sent to a 14-day judicial custody.The Delhi-based journalist was grilled in connection with a case filed at Sahid Nagar Police Station in Bhubaneswar over his derogatory remarks against Odisha, police added.Earlier in the day, Iyer-Mitra had appeared before a House Committee of the Odisha Assembly and tendered an unconditional apology for his derogatory remarks against the Sun Temple and comments on legislators.The House panel headed by leader of opposition Narasingh Mishra asked Abhijit to re-appear on November 2 and submit an affidavit.Abhijit was questioned about the alleged breach of privilege.Abhijit had earlier been summoned to appear before the panel on October 11, which he had skipped. He was summoned again to appear on October 23.Odisha Assembly Speaker Pradip Amat had on September 20 constituted a House Committee to probe the journalist’s alleged derogatory remarks against the state and its lawmakers.Abhijit had on September 16 posted a video on Twitter criticising the Konark temple. Later, he went on to make the alleged derogatory remarks against Odisha and its culture.Two FIRs were registered against him at Konark and Saheed Nagar police stations for his remarks.Last month, the Odisha Police arrested the columnist in New Delhi for his anti-Odisha comments.
