I think we can finally put to bed the saying "all publicity is good publicity". It doesn't work anymore for the newer generations of millennials and gen z. You can see that from Blake's complaint. There was data pulled from her mentioning online and how negative it was and how she stopped doing appearances and posting online(sound familiar?) because of it. Chris isn't related to this situation, but I see some parallels. We keep saying his team is terrible and yes that is true but I don't think they were prepared for what happened to him. What Chris should have done was hire a crisis manager to be on the offensive instead of the poor defense that was pulled. Was it arrogance? Did he think people were just going to fall for it despite his years long behavior and actual dating patterns(some of us have tea about his dating in real life and none of it with loser 20 year old's)? I was around during lilygate and the ability for the fandom to pull up information within the blink of an eye should have been a forewarning to him and his team that continuing with him being available for paid boyfriend engagements was not a good idea.

I can only hope for 2025 he and his team get it together. If he is going to have social media, tell him to use it or get rid of it. If this is a real relationship(it isn't) tell him to act like it because he still isn't. Tell him to stop trying to fuck on the side(got stories about that too.................keeping to the chest until I want to lol). Tell him we haven't forgotten about Dodger. A bunch of other shit but this is too long.

For instance:

Poor Jack, just desperately trying to stay on task and having to deal with ‘the children’ giggling and clackling away 

Esteban and Pierre, playing with filters and not listening to the questions

Not Pierre playing with the filters and then using an alpha Tauri boarder filter and then realising it and taking it off 

Not Esteban, and Pierre, swearing, and not realising children are watching

When asked if they prefer dogs or cats and Pierre smirking (and clearly on demon time) casually saying ‘doggie’ for Esteban to then remember their are indeed children watching

Jack being the youngest, but trying to be the mature one

Pierre not getting Jack’s Aussie dry humour and playing up more

Pierre and Esteban trying to make Jack join the dark side of the chaos

Jack internally losing his shit with the chaos

Jack not having a clue what the boys are saying for a good 5 minutes while the speak French and hoping to god it can’t get any worst

Just to clarify...

Many of us are not outraged about being "lied to and trolled". That's not what this about for us so I'm going to break it down for you.

We aren't outraged. We are frustrated. There is a difference.

We are tired of the constant drama and we are finding it hard to understand why anyone would want to add to it (despite best intentions).

There are plenty of us who have our own opinions about what's going on and we aren't trolls, unhinged or quite frankly interested in stirring up the fandom or pitting blogs against each other. To accuse us of that is insulting.

I'm assuming most of us are adults here so it would be nice if we could have cordial discussions and agree to disagree when presented with "evidence."

It's not a bad thing to be called out. That's where learning often happens.

Last but not least...If you have to go to great lengths to convince anyone of anything that might be the problem.

Remember when the SMA article came out and ppl were dissecting how he was talking about slowing down and focusing on creating a family, wife, kids, etc.? This paired with the lazer focused stuff on finding a partner, stepping away from the industry...

And then a day or so later the editor of People mag said that when he was ready to date, he'd be "seen with her, and he'd talk about her?"

I think it was these three elements that really riled ppl up when he went public with AB a day later.

First: "he was seen with her"

Second: "talked about her" - do IG stories count?

Third: He's "slowed down" on projects, nothing really new announced.

But then you take another look at all of this...

"seen with her" - besides that public pap walk? Virtually no real sightings, no organic out in the wild together. The first time anyone's "seen" them together in real time was at the beginning of the premiere, and only caught by that one tik toker who edged around to the back of the car to catch that 10 second interaction. He didn't take any photos with her on the red carpet. Nobody actually saw them at the premiere together.

"talked about her" - except, in all of his public press since Nov 22, he's not mentioned her in any direct form. If it weren't for his IG stories, there'd be no real acknowledgement otherwise. But what's more, even in those stories where they're actually interacting - do you ever hear him say her name? During ghosted press, they must have done 50 interviews about ghosting, romance, dating faux pas, first and perfect dates...not one answer about a current gf or relationship.

"Slowed down" - he just filmed 3 movies in a year. He just finished promoting the first one, with two more down the line. During ghosted press, he's mentioned the gene Kelly project directly more than once, and even went into detail about the premise/storyline, talking about how he's still tweaking it but he really wants to do it. Dexter caught in another interview saying he's "allegedly" playing the role and he'll be showing off his dancing skills there. The fact that they're actively speaking about the role - and not just as a throwaway comment like they did with LSOH after Covid hit and film development halted - it really appears that CE might be putting all of his efforts to making this happen. Which could explain the "slow down" of taking other projects, because his plan is to keep his schedule open to let this one manifest. And not to mention the Scott Pilgrim series that's coming up. Another project - albeit smaller, but still a project.

So yes, in a way, the SMA cover did "foreshadow" all that was going to happen. Putting out the narrative of a long time bachelor finally "settling down" once he found "the one." But then you look again, and you start to realize, yeah, but - there's cracks to this picture they've painted. There's intentional holes that don't add up. And you start to wonder, maybe someone's not so accidentally sabotaging this narrative. I mean, I'm no insider. But it makes you think, doesn't it?
