i want less and less to create a computer related services thing as i've realised i truly just want to help people and i can't justify making ppl pay for help like that and i might stage at some place that offers this type of services and the two other things i wanted to have as a service was maintenance (hardware/software) + web dev but i haven't had enough any real classes on computer maintenance or had enough experience imo, the other i have a degree in it but. don't enjoy it that much like i really like coding but i don't want to make it my job and work only in this............ what do now.
#thought that was the perfect idea cos i would work in what i like as i would be my own boss and all but.#i actually. just want to help out ppl and would do it for free.#every administrative shit is online now and some people are barely able to use a computer and it's absolutely unfair to make them have no#other choices than have to go through internet to do some paperwork that could be about their financial aid housing etc#and i absolutely don't want ppl to make me horrendous price solely because they couldn't get it right away yknow#i don't mind spending more time explaining things i would love to share this passion and knowledge but would feel absolutely awful#to know that this time learning would cost them. as if paperwork isn't already an awful experience to go through.#like the association i might stage in is exactly what i would want to do i think....but like what would i do as a job then.#cos. 99% of the job offers either ask for someone with driver license/car and or certain specific degree and or just too far away#and im even considering the type of shit that i know my body will not tolerate but have to push through to like. eat and stuff.#anyway. crisis i think im entering a crisis#tomtom_is_rambling

i've found myself in a bad situation. the tl;dr is i have to move, but i can't afford to. i'm a disabled student and just do not have the funds required to rent a truck, hire movers, and cover deposits. so, i'm offering various services on my kofi, but if you don't need those you can also donate there or via paypal. my cashapp and venmo are both erinshelley91 if you'd like to donate on those platforms (i couldn't figure out how to link to those)
if you can't afford to commission me or to donate, reblogging this post and sharing my twitter thread is a free way to help me out and is so appreciated!
more context and stuff under the cut, i just don't want to make a long post on ppl's dashboards
my landlord has been cheating on his husband, and their relationship is rocky. he also has a massive spending addiction according to his husband. his spending addiction is making him not want to perform the actual duties of a landlord, because investment costs are cutting into his shopping spree funds
ex, he is illegally not fixing a leak in the shower of the upstairs tenants, and claims the costs are more than their rent. he told them to "figure it out, or get the fuck out." (verbatim.) he also told me it would be cheaper for him to not have tenants at all bc his utility bills would be smaller. he then left it to ME to inform another tenant to leave (then gaslit me and denied it in front of his husband when his husband questioned it)
in his words, we have 90 days to leave. i am disabled and a full time student and have been living on my fafsa returns, and the last job i had made one of my disabilities worse to the point i've had intensive physical therapy (several hours several times a week) and am likely going to have to undergo surgery
i'm also mi/nd, so even on a good day i'm not very well equipped to handle things, and the recent stress has also caused my therapist to see me several times a week in lieu of institutionalization
all that said, i'm not in a good spot physically or mentally, hence the best i can do right now is offer some of my skills on kofi
i'm currently working with my state's vocational rehab to try and find a suitable job until i can get my degree, but even then i simply would not be able to afford the costs of a sudden move in the timeframe i've got to work with
UPDATE MARCH 25, 2024: i want to invest in a scooter to do gig work like doordash. this will let me work at my own pace, and earn towards the move myself, then i'll have some more independence to continue doing that after as well
they require 50cc or under, which means i could get a scooter for under $1,000. i'd also need to cover fees to renew my license (i let it lapse since i haven't had a vehicle), get a helmet, and get insurance (roughly $100 annually)
i also made some amazon wishlists for folks who would like to help but prefer to know exactly where their money's going. i have one for housewarming stuff here, and one for necessities here
update as of april 5: my cat peed on my bed, and since it's a memory foam mattress it soaked all the way through and ruined it
update as of april 7: she did it again. this time there's blood in it
update as of april 14: i still haven't been able to take her to the vet, but i've been trying to do at home remedies

There is one thing I know for a fact they will never share with us. Like they would rather post a 3 hour video of them making out before sharing. And thats how much they earn and how much they have earned. And If I had one question I could ask them that they had to answer, it wouldn't be "are you married" or anything like that, it would be how much money do you make, and where does that income come from. Because based on the look of the phouse and the price of the clothes they buy, I would not be shocked to find out they are millionaires, but where is that money coming from?? Because surely its not all from video veiws. They have not uploaded consistently enough throughout their career for that imo. And I mean. Yes they are big creators and used to be bigger, but its nothing compared to the numbers of big creators now. They never even broke 10mil subs. Is dragon city seriously paying them that much??? And what about the 5 years where they basically posted nothing and phil did like one 10min video a month. Surely that was not covering mortage costs plus rent of TWO apartments, plus all of dans bougie clothes?? Were they living off of savings from before the haitus??? That brings me back to HOW MUCH WERE THEY MAKING??? This is the phan conspiracy I want them to address.
i also would love to know how much they’re currently making bc im a nosey bitch. but also for sure they are millionaires. like multi-millionaires. think about how much money they were bringing in in their prime (2014-2018). obviously there are their videos, so the adsense money plus any sponsorships. they were getting money from the radio show and also all the other hosting gigs they did for the bbc (those handful of random docs dan did, all the festivals, etc). there was money from their own merch, but also remember that they own irl, so they're getting a cut from other people who were using irl as their merch distributor. then they had the money from tabinof and dapgo. they had the money from tatinof and ii (while we know they lost money on some legs, I'm sure overall it was income gained not lost). also whatever money they got from tatinof + story of tatinof being posted on yt red and then the money from the ii dvd. also other random shit, like they had licensed t-shirts at hot topic (which as a side note is so batshit 😭). also those random two events they did for dapgo (dapgoose 🤩). oh also truth bombs!! also the partnership they had with rize (I want to say they also had one with younow at one point?? but I could be making that up lol). and this is all just stuff off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s more i'm forgetting
and then okay, the hiatus hits, but phil's still making videos, and then dan eventual comes out with ywgttn. (then wad ofc but dan didn't make money on that so 😭 lmao.) but also keep in mind that during this time, they're still getting adsense revenue from anyone rewatching any of their videos, and also like you said im sure they had savings. and on top of all of this, I'm 100000% sure they have investments that we don't know about, because I don't know how they could've not invested any money lmao. like we know they aren't stupid when it comes to business, and investing is something regular ppl do too. so you’d assume for ppl like d&p who are self-employed (and making a shit load of money doing it) they have more investments than most ppl. so like they aren’t mr. beast obviously, but I don’t think dan is losing any sleep over dropping $600 on a shirt
#also. all of the money in their businesses is public information. so like their net worth is that + money in their personal acc +#fixed assets (like the phouse) + any additional investments#at the end of the day I fear we all just stan two rich white men#ask#anon#d&p#dan and phil#phan

I feel like no one is asking the important question ever since the pre-8x05 interview with Oliver came out...
Robinson R22
It's small, it's lightweight, it's fast, it's agile, the 2-seat Robinson R22 is the Cessna 152 of the rotary world, meaning it's by far the most popular model for basic pilot training.
Everything from its 2-bladed semi-rigid teetering rotor system, to its T-bar cyclic design keeps the production and maintenance costs of the R22 to a relatively affordable level, hence allowing more aspiring pilots to achieve their dream without breaking the bank. Due to its popularity, employment opportunities are also easier to come by. Once you've successfully gotten your flight instructor license, you can basically accumulate flight hours while earning money by instructing other students.
Please don't be mistaken, the R22 is popular among student pilots solely for its cost effectiveness. It's in no way an easy helicopter to fly. Because it's so light, the controls are extremely sensitive, some may even say twichy. The first 10 or so hours in the R22 can be quite a frustrating experience. Instead of you flying the chopper, it'll feel like it's flying you, that it has a mind of its own. Even the most experienced former military pilots who spent their entire career flying attack helicopters may feel like they're writing cursive in the sky for their first couple of hours in the R22 before slowly getting used to it. But if you manage to tame this beast, you can basically learn to fly anything.
The Robinson rotor system design also makes it very susceptible to mast bumping. (Yes, even more so than other similar teetering rotor designs) While it can be prevented by adequate pilot training (to avoid instinctively overcontrolling the aircraft), once it happens and the rotor separates from the mast, it's basically always a death sentence.
But the most important factor that may disqualify the R22 as BuckTommy's training helicopter of choice, is its lack of cabin space and low weight limit. It has a maximum cabin width of 3.7 feet, which is cramped even for normal sized people, let alone our 2 human tanks. Not only will they be pressed flush against each other (kinda hot ngl), their shoulders will be squeezed tight by the doors, which makes the overall flying experience very uncomfortable, even a bit limiting. The maximum weight the R22 can carry, including fuel, luggage and occupants, is 490 lbs. If you want to have enough fuel to last for more than 30 minutes, that leaves you only 400 lbs to spare. I strongly suspect the combine weight of these beefcakes exceeds that number.
Robinson R44
The Robinson R44 is basically the bigger, 4 seat version of an R22. It has all the advantages of the R22 in terms of performance, cost effectiveness and abundance of employment opportunities (It's the most produced piston engine helicopter), with the added bonus of a more spacious cabin, a higher weight limit (it's designed for 4 occupants after all) and less sensitive controls as it's quite a bit heavier.
It still has the same heightened risk of mast bumping, and it's more expensive to rent and operate than the R22 (seeing that it's double the size).
A unique advantage of starting your pilot training in the R44 is that once you get your PPL (private pilot license), you've already had enough experience in a 4 seater and you can immediately take your friends and family to the sky with you, no transition or additional training needed. I think Buck will appreciate that.
Schweizer S300
Unlike the Robinsons, the Schweizer S300 was designed especially for training purposes, so it's much more forgiving to fly for student pilots.
It has a 3-bladed fully articulated high inertia rotor system, making it very stable in flight and eliminating the issue of mast bumping. Its conventional but clean cockpit design also makes the learning experience more straightforward. The cabin can be configured into a 2 pilot training setup, or a 1 pilot+2 passengers one, so naturally, the cabin is quite spacious as well.
It has a traditional cyclic in the middle for controls, instead of the T-bar in Robbies.
One possible downside of the S300 is the lack of an RPM governor, meaning pilots have to manually adjust the throttle to maintain rotor speed when maneuvering the helicopter. It adds a bit of workload, but it's not hard getting used to.
The major problem with this aircraft is the giant flat windshield in the front creating enormous amount of drag. It may be suitable for training, but absolutely not for any medium to long distance leisure flying. Its range is quite short, and if you run into strong headwind, it can be veeeerrrryyyyy slooooooooowwwwwww.
Guimbal Cabri G2
Watch out, she's the new hot chick kid on the block. She's young, she's smooth, she's cool and she's from France. (Cue gone girl cool girl speech) First introduced in 2008, this bird was designed to be the ultimate training helicopter, combining the sleek aerodynamic fuselage and lightweight 2 seat configuration of the R22, but with extra space for comfort, and the stability and controllability of the Schweizer S300, without the added drag. It's fast, agile, but at the same time safe and comfortable.
Designed by a former Eurocopter engineer, the Cabri G2 has many modern systems in place to ensure the safety of the inexperienced student pilot.
It has a glass cockpit with fully integrated flight computer system. Unlike flying the Robbies, where you only have a analog fuel gauge, the Cabri G2's system constantly calculates and shows you the estimated time you have left in the air with your current amount fuel.
It has a 3-bladed articulated main rotor just like the Schweizer, so mast bumping is not an issue either, but it also has the added protection of a shrouded tail rotor called a Fenestron, which is a trademark of Eurocopter (known as Airbus Helicopter now).
Instead of being exposed to the element like traditional tail rotors, the Fenestron type is housed in a sort of window in the tail to protect it from striking foreign object in flight, thus greatly enhancing its safety.
Like all aircrafts designed in the 21st century, it's largely made out of light composite material, so it can be spacious and sophisticated without compromising on weight.
The Cabri G2 was designed to be very crash resistant. According to the manufacturer, the seats can withstand shocks from a crash with as high as a 2000 fpm descent rate. Its fuel tank is also incorporated with resistant technology to prevent a fuel fire post crash.
With the Cabri G2, learning to fly a helicopter has never been safer, comfier and cooler.
I can't hide my bias to this hot chick beautiful bird, she's just that good, but she's also very hard to find and super expensive to rent. Over 6866 Robinson R44 were ever built, but the new girl Cabri G2? Just around 300. It's very expensive to rent, the hourly rate comparable to a 4 seat R44, simply due to its rarity. But Tommy works in the industry? I'm sure he can pull some strings for his boyfriend if the G2 is what he wants.
Turbine helicopters
The previous 4 models are all powered by piston engines. They're cheaper, easier to maintain, but not powerful enough for bigger utility helicopters operated by the military or authorities. If your goal is to work for those institutions, you'll eventually have to gain experience in a helicopter with turbine engines.
So why not start in a turbine helicopter, you asked? Well, they're super expensive to rent. The hourly rates for the above 4 models are all in the hundreds, but for a turbine one, like the AS350 (the one Tommy flew to the cruise ship and to Vegas with Eddie), it's in the thousands.
Although we're talking about Tommy "knows a guy" Kinard, who magicked a whole AS350 news helicopter for his personal trip to a fight in Vegas, and Evan "trust fund baby" Buckley here. I guess they can somehow get a giant turbine one without any problem like us commoners. They're easier and more fun to fly anyways. (Faster but more stable.)
#bucktommy#tommy kinard#evan buckley#911 meta#aviation realism#911 abc#tevan#kinley#I was inspired by the “which car Tommy drives” post months earlier#I'm trying to reclaim my joy for BuckTommy related aviation topics one step at a time#It's all just for fun

The cognitive dissonance of listening to someone bitch about the lack of services in Ontario in one breath and spend the next one lauding our current premier.
I truly cannot understand how you do not see that this man has stripped our province for parts in order to pay off his friends and cronies. And he will continue doing it as long as ppl keep voting for him because he promises beer for a buck (that never happened btw) and canceled our license plate registration fees (this costs the province millions of dollars in lost revenue btw, all of which could have been used to help fund necessary repairs to schools, hire nurses, and the social welfare that many ppl in this province rely on).
That you have been on a waiting list for three years for a funded round of IVF is a direct result of the fact that Ford has completely obliterated Healthcare spending in this province in favour of building a highway to nowhere (so he can make sure his developer buddies get lotsa prime greenbelt real estate) and spending billions of dollars to demolish the lcbo ahead of schedule (the beer store is the actual shitty monopoly), among other things.
"Do better, Ontario!" you say, as if you and your votes for Doug Ford are not why we are in this fucking mess in the first place.
I cannot stand the voting public in this province. Why did none of you pay attention for one (1) hour of civics classes?

sure someone will drag me for coming off as rude or whatever but like...
as a mortician it really grates me when ppl call us predatory or unnecessary. it's expensive to be born, it's expensive to live, it's expensive to die. sorry.
(it also grates me caitlyn doodoohead...sorry doughface...or whatever the fuck her name is exists and perpetuates this as a half ass mortician, bc ppl like her are harmful as all fuck and perpetuate other huge issues. I say half assed bc shes not a licensed embalmer, she says by choice, I honestly fully believe she can't do it. 💅✨️ fans can cry about it, idgaf)
anyway, you're paying for our time, or skill, and our by law required license.
we're still a business that needs to pay employees.
im sorry some of you are too shallow or daft to believe we need money to live and eat, but it is so rude to constantly hear im preying on your grief. I am not. i am providing you with the goods and services you requested and have even provided a LAW REQUIRED price list.
I don't give a flying fuck if you spend $10 or $100,000 on granny's farewell. it's whatever YOU want bc funerals and memorialisation is for the living. I give everyone the same empathy, compassion, and level of service regardless of what their budget allows them to do bc its about their loved one and the grieving process in the end.
also cremation, tree urns, just throw me in the dirt/throw me in the ocean, all also cost money. they're all still services.
hope this helps yall.

Once you buy a font online
Can it be used in any commercial projects with no adicional costs
when you buy a font you buy a license to use it in a specific thing.
so if you buy a font's desktop license (which is usually the first price you will see) you are buying the right to install it in 3-5 computers(usually) that belong to the same company and will print things using that font for the company.
if you buy the web license you can NOT do the thing from the paragraph above but you can rather use the font file in a website, price of the font varies depending on how many people/visits that website has per month...
you should have in mind where you're gonna use the font for before buying it, some type foundries offer lifetime license for everything but that is RARE, you usually buy a license depending on what youre gonna do with it at that very moment, so if you wanna use it for printing material AND web, you pick two licenses and the value of the font doubles, basically (some ppl offer those two licenses for the price of one or with the second license at a discount)
its not something everyone decided on so it varies a LOT, be careful before buying fonts, theyre pricey!

hi leigh!! i hope you're well :) saw your post with asks and decided i would combine lots of them lol so first thing is tell me abt whatever's bothering you!! i hope nothing's bothering you obv but still.
also i am asking you for book recs. i haven't been reading a lot of proper books lately so any recs are welcome but i kind of feel like some fantasy would do me good. but like good ones? The last couple of years i've been picking up some popular fantasy standalones hoping they feel like a fantasy book you read when you're twelve and they end up being the most mid thing i've ever read. like help. i'm planning to read some robin hobb books so hopefully they're good.
also i've started listening to mitski (talk about being late lol) and i'm really liking her songs i was wondering if you have any particular recs? Or any music recs? what've you been listening to?
sorry this ask is all over the place lol i guess i'm chatty today. i hope you're having an amazing day!! <3<333
ORLA!!!! i hope you are doing well too <3 one thing that is bothering me is school is starting again bc i have gotten virtually no break </3 also that apparently the english class i’m taking doesn’t have any required books i was looking forward to reading actual books not whatever mini readings ig they’re going to be giving us instead ☹️ also also that i did Not in fact get my license like planned this summer bc during the singular week i was home a bunch of stuff suddenly came up and it became no longer my priority and now i will need to renew my permit Again bc it expires in early september and im not going to be able to make it home before that so. <3
as for book recs!! i have tragically had the same problem lately re fantasy books and honestly mostly just books in general BUT i don’t know if you’ve read any ve schwab ive really loved what books of hers ive read. vicious was my favorite, but the monsters of verity duology better fits the “feels like a fantasy book you read when you’re twelve vibe!
for non-fantasy recs if youre feeling poetry i reallyy liked margaret atwood’s morning in the burned house. also just finished hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy which was v fun! got many laughs out of me, i did not however know before starting it that it’s a series so now idk how to proceed bc i only have the first book agdjfk
OH ALSO fantasy shoutout to strange the dreamer duology 🫶🏻🫶🏻 lovely writing style and world, fascinating antagonist, i was not a big fan of the romance but otherwise big rec on that. definitely not for everyone tho some ppl find the pacing too slow, i remember when i first read it i mentioned that in my review too that it took a bit for me to really get into although i personally wasn’t bored in the meantime like others, i was just chilling enjoying what it had to tell me abt everything
MITSKI RECS!! i love strawberry blond sorry for being basic. square too but specifically square solo piano version which they took off of spotify (idk what you’re listening to her on). because dreaming costs money my dear is also a veryyy hard-hitting one. fond of circle, a burning hill, goodbye my danish sweetheart, nobody, washing machine heart, and class of 2013 as well. that was a lot i will stop now 🫡 also must admit i am quite behind on mitski’s recent releases so i can’t speak for any of her newer albums/songs. except for working for the knife musically it doesn’t hit as much as other songs of hers for me but lyrically it makes me go crazy
as for random music recs my most recently liked songs are unsweetened lemonade by amélie farren, army dreamers by kate bush, numb little bug by em beihold, would that i by hozier, the milk carton by madilyn mei, and comme des enfants by cœur de pirate. i have not really been “listening” listening to anything lately! though that will change in a few days with wisdom saga >:)
— sleepover saturday sunday!

get 2 know me meme
tagged by the amazing @brifrischu! tagging @cryptidafter, @the-wanlorn, @sweveris, @chaos0pikachu, @turtlesocksv2, @gayzuko, @osmiabee, @technicallyverycowboy, and anybody else who wants to do it and hasn't done it yet! my answers after the read more for the benefit of mobile & screenreader users.
Do you make your bed?
i have a complex system of blankets that mean i get the benefit from a 'made' bed without having to make it most of the time, but if not for disability i would make my bed every night before i crawled in the way i did pre-chronic pain. it's such a nice feeling.
What’s your favorite number?
it's a tie between 6 and 7. six is my exaggeration number but seven is spiritually and personally meaningful.
What is your job?
the US government pays me to be crazy, but the pay is shit so i cannot recommend. (i'm disabled)
If you could go back to school, would you?
not in a million years. i didn't graduate middle school or high school. i have my GED and got 99th percentile in my scores, so i'm technically a whole ass person, but i fucking hate school.
Can you parallel park?
yes. i don't have my license but i can parallel park and also guide someone else verbally through parallel parking. the secret is that i had my learner's permit for two years and learned how to drive, but i never could get to where i wouldn't have panic attacks while driving or just 100% forget i was driving, so i don't have my license but i know how to drive.
A job you had that would surprise people?
i don't think there's an answer to this question that would surprise anyone because anyone who knows me knows i'm an absolute gremlin who has worked a million kinds of jobs before i was disabled. i've worked in erotica publishing, fast food, retail stores, as a line cook, doing landscaping, sex work, selling drugs, and more!
Do you think aliens are real?
i think aliens are real but i think a lot of ppl who are overinvested in aliens being real have wild ideas about how similar to us the aliens would be.
Can you drive a manual car?
i used to be able to but it's one of those things where i wouldn't feel confident because i haven't done it in over twenty years.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
doll customizing/bjd. it's so expensive but the dolls look so lovely after.
Tattoos?
i have 3 large tattoos; the only thing stopping me from being covered in them is cost.
Favorite color?
jewel tone violet
Favorite type of music?
something i can sing along to. it can be pop, rock, r&b, country, whatever. i just like to sing along to songs.
Do you like puzzles?
i love puzzles so much! jigidi come thru
Any phobias?
no, thank fuck. i've got enough anxiety in my life i don't need more!
Favorite childhood sport?
hide and seek
Do you talk to yourself?
yes? who doesn't talk to themselves, either mentally or outloud? i thought this was just a human normal thing?
What movies do you adore?
i love movies that explore uncomfortable things and/or that take you on a journey and commit to the ideas that they bring up. my favorite BL movies are "beyond the green mountain" and "sei no gekiyaku"; my favorite western movies are too numerous to list but the movies who changed me as a person who watches movies: brokeback mountain, black snake moan, cabin in the woods, and venom.
Coffee or tea?
tea! mostly sweet (black) tea but i love all to put too much sugar in all types of tea.
First thing you wanted to be growing up?
a teacher! i went to college for it briefly before my inability to learn the way schools teach became too much.

there is Real Shit happening in the world but my idiot brain decided to rant about Funko Nerds for a sec sorry
listen it's whatever i'm not about to pull a picture of someone's ShelfieTM(💀) and have an aneurysm over it like Some Twitterheads did over pics of white ladies' stupid pointless consumerist stanley cup collections which ARE dumb and annoying and woefully uncreative expressions of suburban soulrot etc yet. harmless in the grand scheme of things (esp when some of those ladies' husbands collect firearms lmfao I DIGRESS). im not gonna name names im not gonna repost anyone's pic im not gonna go be an asshole in their comments.
but i do need to rant On This Here My Toxic Dump Of A Blog for a sec bc i just don't get.... the breed of collector that i'm gonna call Funko Nerd 4 short
like i GET the impulse to be Part Of The Club and ig a couple pieces of official merch have At Times caught my eye. a few have made me deranged obsessed unwell. I DID make that extremely silly art trade with this furry i met online where i drew its fursona in exchange for a code for bluesky which i ended up using like twice and the chance to buy a years old yet unworn Very Cool destiny sweatshirt off them. i was Besotted since that particular merch drop Dropped because it DOESN'T scream to the four winds that it's A Game Merch but instead it all had the First Light Lunar Installation logo.... stealth nerd apparel my beloved. i don't wanna look like a fan of the thing i wanna look like someone IN or FROM the thing. designers of shit like that you get it. i love you. i would've gone for the boots too on either that or the Europa drop if i'd had disposable income at the time.
BUT. UHH. if i ever found myself or a close loved one filling shelf after shelf & maybe getting a whole dedicated piece of light-up furniture for like. Licensed Merch perhaps even Still In Its Box & Meant To Remain There i'd just. i'd want piglet to pull the trigger yknow? lmao
and like i FULLY GET the impulse to collect shit. gathering Trinkets and Thingamabobs and Tchotchkes is the absolute shit. minimalism be damned magpie swag is hot & sexy etc whatever
but WHY.... THE HELL.... would someone choose to collect samey mass produced shit when fanmade merch sometimes even HANDMADE is fucking RIGHT THERE ?????
and the folx who collect Funko Shit tend to have -10000 sense of visual harmony & taste. they just throw all the shit together and expect that bc fellow nolifers know how much it costs how long delivery takes how limited the runs are they'll be impressed but i just. gag. even when each individual thing is a nice & well made figurine or charm or pin or whatever instead of pukeworthy to begin with & only lent value through Licensing the way it happens w actual funkos..... it looks sososososo ugly just thrown together like that.
whatever. it's not Bad it just Deeply Offends my sense of aesthetics. if i'm gonna spend money on silly vidyagaem / generally geeky stuff i want it to approximate the look of something that came From Within The Thing's Fictional Universe. & not just give "Worthless-Until-Licensed Plastic Garbage To Make Money Off The Thing" vibes.
i'd rather have like. a tiny handful of things that were made with love for both the inspiration and the craft. that feel good as hell to hold or use or look at. that would only get clocked as Nerd Shit by someone who's been in the trenches & has crawled exactly as deep inside the creators' asshole as you have....... than a whole spare room's worth of things designed by an overworked underpaid intern to fulfill the collectibles quota or w/e. but that's just me!!
this goes for tattoos too. every time i see someone get a TRADEMARKED LOGO ETCHED DIRECTLY INTO THEIR INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM i projectile vomit inside ✨💖👌
this Grievance is Especially Silly coming from ME like. my living space objectively looks (& functions) like shit. these ppl showing off their Nerd Caves tend to At Least have like. Real Indoors Finishes And Furnishings instead of unsealed concrete nonsense and Insect Condos masquerading as walls. but. yeagh i like to imagine that if i lived in an apartment that was Made & Meant To Be An Apartment (instead of a halfassed halfconverted storage area / outdoor garage...) & had a moderate budget for decoration (???? fucking bougie propaganda brainrot 2 even think abt that in my situation lmfaooooo). i'd make Slightly More Tasteful Choices.
also i'm not vagueing anyone i've literally only seen this nonsense on facebook / lil bit on twitter

as a 21 yr old licensed driver, I STILL choose to passenger princess everywhere if I can’t walk or take the bus 💀
like ofc I’ll drive if I have to i.e. getting my mom home from a surgery but likeeeeee I’m always gonna be the friend who needs to get scooped 🤭🤭🤭
for the most part the ppl in my life r fine w it since I give gas money and we all agree it’s safer for everyone that im not behind the wheel since I have poor awareness (😭)
except for my parents who think im just being immature (not that that’s stopped them from driving me places so 🤷)
-🗑️
LOLL I KNOW THATS RIGHT!!!
honestly ion think imma mind being the driver, like as long as i have some stimulation to not zone out!!!! bc me n my gma usually jus sit in silence at this point, n ive fuckin tuned out the country Christian music. so imma need some chat, or someone put on the playlist!!!
otherwise i like, zone out, and i wont even know how tf we got here 💀
I WILL FOREVER LOVE BEING A PASSANGER PRINCESS THO although since i started driving, ive also become a bad passenger?! dont put me in the back. bc then im stretching over the seat tryna see out the front and im CLUTCHING onto the handle when you turn.
pls i rode w my brother, n he's a bit crazy on the road right. got that speed bug. and i was clutchinggg the handle
ALTHOUGH I HAD A FUCKIN REASON TO BE SO TIGHTASSED BC WHEN WE WAS DRIVING HOME, HE WAS TRYNA HANG UP OR PICK UP HIS GF'S CALL AND WAS PRESSING THE GAS N I HAD TO FUCKING YELL AT HIM TO BREAK OTHERWISE WE WOULDA HIT THE BACK OF SOMEONE ELSE.
anyway... my lifespan is that of a rodent now 🥲 love u big bro🫶😬😬😬
ALSO I SO GET THE IMMATURE THING. LIKE MY MOM WAS LIKE "you WILL learn to drive" n even when i joked (""joked"") abt it she got mad!!! n my cousin was tryna defend me like 😭😭 please. SHE DOES AGREE THAT THAT DRIVING COURSE WAS A WASTE OF MONEY BC I DIDNT REALLY LEARN SHIT. AND THEY WANTED MORE MONEY. LIKE ANOTHER 100 FOR THE 2ND COURSE ON TOP OF THE $475?? EVEN THOUGH WE PAID THE PRICE FOR COURSE 1 AND TWO?? LIKE WHAT WAS THE POINT OF GIVING HER 100 TO HOLD MY SPOT N THE 375 FOR THE PACKAGE IF.. IT WASNT GONNA FUCKIN TRANSFER. COST LESS???
anyway. that was the biggest money grab ever

i dont wanna bug op but like
to the person who rbed from me specifically and posted these tags:
#this is hilarious because dricing the speed limit is not gonna get you hit..#you really think ppl will rear end you because Youre drivimg the speed limit?#do you understand that if you get rear ended it is quite literally always their fault unless they have PROOF#that you intentionally break checked them?#rear end is always the person in backs fault i havent ever heard it ruled another way and thats how my accident was ruled w no investigation#no one will read end you because they know it would ruin their life#theyd be out a car theyd get a ticket and possibly arrested you sue them and then they cant ever replace that car#literally they cant because the used car market is nuts#no one is going to hit you guys like cmon thats the worst excuse ive ever heard#you guys are really so impatient that travelling 20x the speed you could generate on your own is too much??#jesus christ...#this is why i dont make friends this behavior is ridiculous and if i get in a car w someone and their speeding all over#im getting out of the car and were not friends anymore like you dont invite someone in your vehicle and drive unsafe w them
you are correct that getting rear ended is almost always gonna have you ruled as Not At Fault. i actually recently got hit in the rear of my car. cops ruled me not at fault. i had to CHASE DOWN THIS WOMAN'S FUCKING INSURANCE TO GET THEM TO PAY FOR MY CAR. and do you know what they said? they said the car wasn't worth fucking fixing. they said it was totaled. it wasn't even that fucked up. but apparently repairs were FAR beyond what the car was worth despite buying a new vehicle costing WAY MORE THAN THAT. this debacle took literally MONTHS trying to resolve. eventually i had to get my dad involved, go to MY insurance, get the money up to what they determined my fucking car was worth, and then pay for the rest of the repairs out of fucking pocket.
i guess i could have chased this old woman down in small claims court for the fucking difference but 1. i dont think the court would have given a shit and decided its MY problem my vehicle is apparently worth only 1k dollars 2. she's an old woman that only hit me because she had fainted earlier, was trying to show her friend how to back up the car bc her breaks were fucked up, accidentally hit the gas too hard while disoriented, and hit my car. she was already at fault for her friend's medical bills. do you think i wanted to be the bad guy hounding some old woman for fucking money.
also like. it doesn't matter if they are at fault and we are going at the designated highway speed limit of 65-70 mph here. that is going to completely destroy the back of my car, potentially flip my vehicle or at the very least cause me to go off road, and i might actually die. "oh that won't happen grow up--" ive been in a near fatal car accident WITHOUT someone fucking read ending me on the highway. my wheel locked up when i was trying to make a pass and i ended up going off road and crashing into a tree. i was lucky it wasnt me going off road off a fucking mountainside bc those are common here and would have meant absolute certain death. sure they will go to jail for manslaughter but i dont want a pyrrhic fucking victory jackass i wanna live
i have driven the speed limit before. i had ppl up my fucking ass who then pass me and flip me off or deliberately made a point to drive close to the side of my vehicle in a passing lane to intimidate me. "but thats illegal they can't do that" astute observation shithead. do you think when i am worried about Not Dying as someone who has Nearly Died In A Car Accident Before because some jackass has decided killing both of us is a valid response to a mild inconvenience i wanna try and get their fucking license plate and call the cops who will tell me "we'll look into it" and do fucking nothing?
i would really genuinely love to not live in a shit place like this. our car centric infrastructure is also done in a way that de-incentivizes actually going the speed limit for most ppl (did you know ppl slow down if the streets are more narrow naturally? yeah they also speed the fuck up if there are like 7 fucking lanes on this road). people here drive like maniacs. i've also nearly been killed for even dumber reasons than someone deciding to ride my ass down the highway like coming to a complete fucking stop on the highway leading to me having to swerve into 2 other lanes. and i was GOING THE SPEED LIMIT DURING THIS INCIDENT.
tl;dr:
"someone might rear end you bc u live in a place with insane ass drivers? yeah right thats illegal, people can't do that!"
#i drive like an asshole sometimes but not necessarily for speeding#if im speeding its because everyone else is speeding#which yes driving slower than everyone else around you is also dangerous#its famously why it is ill advised to drive UNDER the speed limit#if ppl actually drove the speed limit around me these things would be less of an issue

if it’s not too nosy to ask (pls ignore if so) how did you arrive at doing case management and how do you like it? i have similar values in terms of like interest in health and med anthro in an anti-psych/institutions way nd am trying to figure out in what capacities i can work in health related fields while honoring those values lol,,, thank u i love ur blog
haha so i kind of hate it rn + am leaving in may so take that was u will! i wouldn't necessarily say case management is an easy place to have these values but i am in a unique position where i'm not licensed so therefore am actually banned from (thus not instructed to) doing most of the heinous shit- i am never involved in the process of diagnosing, treating, or incarcerating a client. an msw or similar clinical degree would demand that i be more involved with that process
i live in MA which has a unique program called the BHCP program (through our Medicaid, MassHealth)+ my technical title is "care coordinator" but this is largely a smokescreen for (even more) underpaid case management. my primary job is to obtain + maintain services for my clients, such as SSI, specialists, housing, food stamps, etc. i also spend a lot of time doing stuff i'm not technically supposed to do- help clients read their mail, help with court cases, help dealing with child support etc. i am about 90% of the time able to help ppl in a way that i don't feel icky about.
the cost- i make 39k a year to case manage up to 65 clients who i have to contact at least once a month. many of them have issues far beyond my scope but i am the only person willing or able to work with them. social services in MA, arguably one of the best states for social services in the country, are an absolute shitshow- i spend about 33% of my job trying to force other ppl to do theirs. get me a client that speaks only spanish and the services become essentially unnavigable. masshealth randomly decides we need to improve quantitative performance measures that have 0 bearing on the actual quality of our clients' lives so we are routinely chastised for not meeting stupid paperwork requirements (what percentage of clients have their race and ethnicity recorded in their file? did you check the right boxes on their yearly assessment?) which seems to matter way more to the state (which, through its other departments, is causing most of the problems i'm being paid by them to solve???) than actually helping them. also, the emotional impact is rough + most of my coworkers cope by hardening themselves, othering our clients/getting angry with them, or giving up altogether.
it's just not feasible or HUMAN to expect someone to be able to go to someone's home, hear a story of their brutal assault by the same man you're helping them demand child support from, lock eyes with the child you know in your heart is never going to see a dollar of his dad's money because the child support case is almost definitely a dead end, then go home and do 6 more hours of paperwork. they tell us we're supposed to compartmentalize + shut off empathy in order to function at our job (real thing they tell us in training!) and like... fuck that. i'm not smothering my humanity in order to meet performance requirements- except the alternative is working yourself to the brink of suicide lmao.
that being said, i didn't always feel like this (first two years were easier) and i have some pretty intense personal circumstances complicating it (dead brother, raging eating disorder, etc). i do feel like i have been able to make real + tangible impacts in others' lives, learned how to navigate the system well enough to use that knowledge in more radical spaces, build human connections with people who have never had that with providers before. having a radical perspective on the system will save you from a lot of burnout because you won't be one of the naive ones who think that social services + "educating" your clients will fix all their problems. most of the problems i am describing above are going to be present in almost all health/social services fields. if the state funds it, this is what they will do to it.
i'm going back to school in september + my goal is to pursue full time ethnographic research while utilizing my skills at navigating social services to assist ppl on a person to person level. in terms of how i got here- graduated dec 18, worked in residential mental health for like 2 months before fully cementing that there was no ethical way to do so (and getting horrifyingly triggered by it) -> americorps position at a local hospital doing community outreach during the day + nursing home/private duty elder care at night -> current job

How much does pilot training cost in India?
Becoming a pilot is a dream for many, but how much does it really cost to turn that aspiration into reality? In India, the sky is not just the limit; it's an opportunity waiting to be seized. With a rapidly growing aviation sector, aspiring pilots have access to various training programs that promise to take them from ground level to cruising altitude. However, with so many options available, navigating through pilot training costs can feel overwhelming.
Whether you're eyeing commercial airlines or considering private flying lessons, understanding the financial aspect of pilot training in India is crucial. From choosing the right course and city to figuring out which institution stands out among the rest—there's plenty of information you need before taking flight! Join us as we explore everything from costs and benefits to top institutions offering the best pilot training in India. Let's clear your path toward achieving those wings you've always dreamed of!
Which pilot course is best?
Selecting the best pilot course depends on individual goals and aspirations. For those aiming to fly commercially, a Bachelor of Aviation or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) program is often recommended. This path not only provides necessary flight training but also covers aviation theory.
If you prefer flexibility, consider obtaining a Private Pilot License (PPL) first. It allows you to fly privately before advancing to more complex certifications.
For aspiring airline pilots, integrated courses that combine ground school with flying hours can be highly beneficial. These programs are designed to streamline your journey from novice to professional pilot.
Additionally, specialized courses like Multi-Engine Rating or Instrument Rating can enhance skills and expand career opportunities in aviation. Choose a course that aligns with your career ambitions and learning style for the most rewarding experience in the skies.
Which city is best for pilot training?
When it comes to pilot training in India, the choice of city plays a crucial role. Various factors like weather conditions, air traffic, and availability of flying schools can influence your experience.
Delhi stands out as one of the leading cities for aspiring pilots. With its well-established aviation infrastructure and numerous flight training academies, you’ll find plenty of options here.
Additionally, cities like Bangalore and Pune are also popular. Bengaluru is often considered the hub for IT and aviation industries alike. Its favorable climate allows for more flying days throughout the year.
Chennai offers a unique blend with access to diverse terrains for varied training experiences. Each city brings something different to the table; ultimately, it's about finding what aligns best with your goals as an aviator.
What are the fees for a pilot course in India?
The fees for pilot training in India can vary significantly based on the type of course and institution you choose. Typically, a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course costs between INR 10 lakh to INR 30 lakh. This includes ground school, flight hours, and other associated expenses.
Many factors influence these costs. Renowned flying schools may charge higher fees due to their experienced instructors and better facilities. Additionally, location plays a role; cities like Delhi might have different pricing compared to smaller towns.
It's also essential to consider hidden costs such as medical examinations, study materials, and examination fees. Prospective pilots should thoroughly research various institutions before making a decision.
Scholarship options are available too! Some organizations provide financial assistance that could ease the burden of expensive courses. Hence, aspiring pilots must explore all avenues before committing financially.
Key Benefits of becoming a pilot
Becoming a pilot opens doors to thrilling adventures and experiences. The sheer joy of flying high above the clouds is unmatched.
One key benefit is job security in an ever-growing industry. With increasing air travel demand, qualified pilots are in high demand across various airlines worldwide.
Pilots also enjoy competitive salaries and attractive benefits. Many airlines offer great perks like health insurance, retirement plans, and even travel discounts for family members.
Moreover, being a pilot fosters personal growth. It enhances leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and confidence levels through rigorous training and real-life challenges.
There's the unique opportunity to explore different cultures and places around the globe. Each flight can be a new adventure waiting to unfold.
