(Very Late) PSA: Party!Ardyn unlocks Hidden Content in FFXV

I’m not sure how widely known this is, but at least for posterity’s sake,

If you mod non-party characters like Ravus into your party, they will A-Pose in Prompto’s photos. I’m guessing this is because there’s nothing in the game’s code that gives them a particular way to pose for Promptography, since they weren’t intended to be available for that feature the way characters like Iris, Aranea, and Cor are. Though Ardyn was ultimately cut from the list of guest party members, the game retains information about how he should pose in Prompto’s photos. I don’t just mean the two poses from the lookout and the caravan that you can receive through a normal play-through, either! While he doesn’t get buddy-buddy in group photos the way other guest party members do, his range in Promptography is honestly stunning. He cycles through both his idle standing animations and his talking animations, looks away or makes direct eye-contact with the camera, smiles or doesn’t. It’s beautiful. Seriously, you don’t see much Ravus on this blog (even though I adore him) because every last photo looks like this:

(I have considered collecting an infinite amount of A-Posing Ravuses, but he also does not show up in photos as often, so it would be quite the slog, and Ardyn is already right here being photogenic, please don’t hold this against me) Anyway, the point of all this is to say that if you own FFXV (on PC at least, I have Steam Royal Edition) there is content in your game right now that WORKS and LOOKS HECKIN’ GREAT, but in order to access it, you need to tamper with the game a bit, and given that the subject in question is Ardyn, there’s something about this particular situation that I find positively delightful. Disobey the game, and the game actually rewards this disobedience with the villain endlessly posing for you. Absolute chef’s kiss. PS: I got my cheat tables from fearlessrevolution PPS: I have not data-mined the game, nor have I tried to mod in every possible NPC into the party. If you have more information on how other characters behave, or about how the game’s code operates that you would like to share, please feel free!

wakatoshi ushijima (hq): it doesn’t matter that we aren’t compatible irl. i’ve stanned this man for 5 consecutive years. every time i drift out of my phase he snaps me back. i could write love letters after love letters about him, but he’s also hot as fuck. period

haiji kiyose (kazetsuyo/rwtw): flawed, funny, attractive, and ambitious. the perfect man. da vinci or whatever modelled the renaissance man after haiji. the tallest mountains in the world are?!?!? or something..

ignis scientia (ffxv): this man has put me through so much physical grief. he’s got the ugliest mf hair, poorly styled glasses and an even uglier spotted shirt??? cartanica will FOREVER be the most painful game sequence i’ve ever played. i had a stomach ache for days. ...and yet i love him still.

cullen rutherford (da:i): i fell in love w him vicariously through yt clips in like 2013 and finally bought myself a ps4 and the game in 2020. fulfills himbo trifecta of buff, kind, and dorky/dumb. his romance route was so fulfilling.. *ugly crying*

sakyo furuichi (a3): me first playing a3 like “wtf this old man seems like a gang member lol” and then finding out he’s yakuza. but tsundere, kinda old, glasses... yeah that explains enough. his stupid nov bday card didn’t come home tho so our marriage is off. 

diluc ragnvindr (gi): new doki to the list but once again gruff w a kind heart, exceedingly violent, attractive.. he’s just missing glasses lol. after a series of whaling he finally came home to me. despite not even being c1 he’s my main DPS. *smooch*

nobuchika ginoza (pp): glasses. gruff. good heart. anyways...  but LOL no actually his story is really heartbreaking. left behind by those you trust most only to become them. grief. he embodies his justice. he was just eye candy at first but his actions were very meaningful.

hinata shoyo (hq): what a big comfort character for me T_T the raw protagonist power he has lmfao. but the ability to uplift everybody he’s around;; nobody would be a better protagonist for haikyuu.

chrom (fe:a): the baddest bitch in fe series. also the only one i’ve romanced as robin LOL i think they’re meant to be.

mark watney (the martian): this may be obscure but it’s my favourite novel. the science.. hrggh *nuts*. but also he was genuinely funny and resilient ;_; matt damon’s adaption of him was top notch. i will always love this shit potato man.

Okay so a while ago I was reading some post from one of my favorite writers @hypaalicious  and she got me to thinking about how when I write and read specifically reader inserts there is this big lack of POC meaning like things even if it’s reader insert it’s not in mind for POC. An example would be it might read something like, they turned red from blushing or some like that. Now I’m dark skin girl and I tell you I have never turned red from blushing...Ever. 

But anyways I digress, but long story short I really wanted to make some relatable content for well me because I love FFXV and mostly I just love Ignis Gladio Prompto and Noctis (not in that order) I wanted to make something with them so I made OC; Black OCs! 

So now after a few months of brainstorming, falling into a depression, having a stupid busy work scheduled and a writers' block I’ve finally finished the first part and now I just want to share them with everyone!! Now I did these in parts so here how they’ll be out

Part one is: How they meet.

Part two is: The first date/ first kiss

Part three is: The first time (Nsfw)

Part four and five is: Before  and after the fall of Insomnia 

Part six is: Before they leave to Altissia (some my or nay not be Nsfw)

Part seven is: 10 years of darkness 

And part eight is: Once Noctis returns

Now before I start I gave all 4 girls a little character profile and I’ll start with the first girl her story and so on and so on.(( Also note the first part will be a lot shorter than the rest that are to come))  PPs Prompto’s girl won’t be in this set but her wil be done later~~

August Harris

 Birthday: December 13 Hight 5′3″

Age: In this chapter, she is 17

Personality: "A messy genius" Are her own words for describing herself as she Is a very hyper girl with a kind soul. She sees the best in everything and everyone. Loves helping anyone she can. August is also very intelligent, but because of her childlike behavior it is sometimes hard to tell. Likes: Chocobos Dislikes: Being bored  

Background: August is from Galahd. After Niflheim took over she and her older sister Joy retreated to Insomnia alone with other Galahdian refugees. upon moving to Insomnia August started school and became good friend with Prompto and Noctis

August Harris was a simple girl, or that's what she liked to think. She had dealt with her fair share of problems, and hardships, but that would never stop her from looking on the bright side of things and remaining positive. After all her positive look on life always seemed to open up good doors. An example, her current state right now. August was sitting down in her classroom chatting with her dear friends Prompto Argentum and Noctis Lucis Caelum, or as she just knew them Noct and Prom.

The three were going over some notes much too the boy's disagreement. "If you guys don't study you'll fail the test tomorrow." August scold them.

Prompto whined, "Math makes my brain huuuurt."

"Oh, I didn't realize you wanted to stay in school all your life." August teased him back. Prompto just huffed in response.

"Aug look over this will ya?" Noctis asked her handing over his paper. Noct didn't have as much trouble with his homework as Prompto, but he still liked having someone as smart as August look over his work.

See another well-known thing about August was that alone with her contagiously hyper personality, she was quite intelligent, or as prompto liked to say she was the smartest girl in all of Insomnia. And that was one thing Noctis and Prompto were really thankful for. Whenever August saw they or anyone in her class needed any help on an assignment she was quick to help, and that was well before she had even become close friends with them. August simply enjoyed helping everyone. She was truly a kind soul.

"Looks good Noct." August smiled giving him back his paper.

"I blame that on him being a prince, of course, he'd be good at math." Prompto pouted.

"Not good just average, you're just a little below average." Noctis joked. Making August laugh and Prompto to continue to pout.

"Anyway, it's getting late.." August said, looking at the classroom clock, "I should be heading home. If I don't Joy will have a cow." Joy was August's very protective older sister. Because of their hardships in life, joy always sought to protect her sister; whether it be that she comes home before seven every day or calling her once an hour when she was out. But August didn't mind it; she knew why her sister was that way.

"Yeah, it's time to head out." Prompto jumped at the chance to stop their little study session. This time making Noct and Aggy shake their heads at him while they cleaned their books up to leave.

Once outside the all noticed the black girl and the tall man standing outside it.

"I didn't' know Iggy was picking you up," Prompto said to Noctis causally.

"Me neither," Noctis said sounding uninterested as usual.

"So that's Iggy?" August said to herself. She had been told stores about him and knew who he was, but only by name. She had never had a real face to connect him to until now. "he's actually really cute." She said not realizing it was out loud.

"What!?" Noctis and Prompto both stopped and said together looking at August dumbfoundedly.

Immediately feeling embarrassed August averted her eyes from them rubbing the back of her neck, she secretly cursed herself for her lack of filtering. "I mean as far as people go..." She tried to explain, but Prom and Noct just stared at their friend.

August just shook her head, "I have to go." She told them and started heading in the other direction before she even came close enough to Ignis.

"Hey! don't you want to meet Ignis?" Prompto asked her before she went too far.

"Maybe another day!" Was all she said waving them goodbye. In truth she had suddenly felt more self-conscious then she had ever felt in her life. August knew she wanted to meet him but for some reason, she wanted to look better? No...She wanted to leave a good impression when she met him. "What am I doing?" She said to herself and stopped. "There's no time like the present!" Then turning around she headed back to where she had just left the boys.

Noctis and Prompto walked up to Ignis, who had just agisted his glasses. "Who was that?" He asked.

"It was just August," Noctis responded nonchalantly. Ignis nodded, Prompto and Noctis had spoken of the girl a few times, but he had yet to meet her.

"She ran off qu-" Ignis was about to note how she ran off but he was cut off August yelling and she ran back to them.

"Hi!" She smiled at Ignis sticking out her hand in a handshake clearly trying to catch her breath from running just now.

Ignis was taken back for a second but quickly recovered. "Hello. Miss Harris, I presume?" He asked her shaking her hand. He noted she had a frim handshake.

August just grinned, "Wow, I had no Idea you knew my name. But yeah just call me Aggy. We've never properly been introduced, but you're Iggy right?"

"Ignis, yes." He corrected her.

August just chuckled in response, "Well I hope we can become good friend, But for now I have to go." Then without saying anything else August ran back heading to catch her train for real this time, feeling much more relieved.

"That was unexpected," Ignis spoke out loud adjusting his glasses again.

"What do you suppose that was about?" Prompto asked out loud.

"Beats me. You know Aug is always doing something strange." He shrugged off and said getting into the car now.

Yes, she is a strange one indeed. I hope she doesn't cause as much trouble as she appears too. Ignis thought to himself as he got back into the car.

Joy Harris

She is matched up with Gladio

Birthday: November 11th Hight: 5′9″

Age: In this chapter she is 20

personality: Joy has what she likes to consider herself to be very chill, that is until she's upset. She's nice and caring. She very protective of her sister and others that she loves, but when it comes down to it she’s not here to make friend she’s her to survive. Likes: Chocolate Dislikes: Your bullshit

Background: Like August she is from Galahd, but she and her younger sister lost their parent and thier home when the wall fell. Since then she’s tried to live a simple like in Insomnia, by working in a bar and staying away from trouble as much as possible.

"What's your name?"

Joy looked at the tall well-built man who was now leaning on the passenger seat side of the car that had just pulled up.

"Come again?" She asked him taken back that the man was actaully talking to her.

"Can I get a name?" He asked again giving her a smirk.

Joy only responded with a deeper frown, "August lets go." That was all she said to her younger sister; Ignoring the man in front of her.

Her sister just chuckled, "I'll see you guys later." And without another word to the group that had just dropped her sister joy turned and started walking away.

"Why'd you treat Gladdy like that?" August asked as she caught up with her sister.

"I have nothing to say to that man." Joy answered, "I didn't even know you hung out with him."

"You know, he's part of the package deal with Noc." She answered.

Joy didn't respond beyond that. She knew who that man was, his appearance alone confirmed it. Gladiolus Amicitia. He had grown himself a little record down where they lived, and Joy knew she didn't want anything to do with him. Men like Gladiolus Amicitia are nothing but trouble and Joy didn't have time for that. "Let's just get home you loser." Joy said shoving August.

Meanwhile back at the regalia that Joy and August just left. Gladio Noctis and Ignis were pulling out of the area.

"What was that all about?" Noctis directed his questioned to Gladio.

"I think Gladio found himself smitten with August's older sister," Ignis said.

"Oh Gods." Noctis huffed rolling his eyes.

"It's not like that... This is something different." Gladio said with a smile on his face. And he knew his words were true. That woman was going to be different.

Jasmine Darling

She is matched up with Noctis

Birthday: July 18 Hight: 5′3′’

Age: In this chapter she is 16

Personlity: Jasmine is shy girl, once she’s gotten to know someone and can call them a friend you’ll find she’s quite witty with a bit if sass. Likes: Reading and Singing Dislikes: Loud envierments

Background: Jasmine was born in Insomnia and had a pretty normal life.He mother works in the castle and because of this she knew Noctis as a shild was was a childhood friend of his, however after his injuries they grew apart.

Jasmine stood at the end of the hallway watching three students joke around. It was the upbeat Prompto, a girl she was friends with named August, and she was looking at him..Noctis... Well, Prince Noctis to be exact. She was in awestruck with him, but it wasn't like he would notice...He was the Prince. And she was well...nothing. She was too nervous to talk to him, what would she even say?

So she just settled looking from afar.

Jasmine looked away placing her books from her last class in her locker once she saw that they seemed to start moving her way, "You know one day he's going to notice you staring." Jasmine recognized the voice to be August.

Looking down the hall she saw Noctis and Prompto still walking down the hall. "I wasn't staring." She huffed out the breath with the didn't realize she was holding.

August only laughed, "Yeah, sure you weren't."

Jasmine closed her locked and looked at August. "It wasn't like that."

"Why won't you just talk to him?" August asked. "He's cool, I swear he won't bite. If anything Noct will just fall asleep."

"Yeah, cause that's what I want to happen." She said sarcastically.

"You make a big deal out of little things. Noct is human like everyone else." She told her throwing her arm over Jasmine's shoulder as they started to walk down the hall

"I'm not like you August, I just can't make friends with everyone I see." And it was true. Jasmine couldn't figure out how it was so easy for them. I have no idea how she became good friends with him and his other friend Prompto.

"How about I just get you the chance you need? I lock you in a room together?" She teased.

"No." Jasmine shook her head. "That's the last thing I need." She said. She meant it. August was a good friend but at times she was kinda the worst. Mostly at times like this, when she thought she was helping but to Jasmine it was really just meddling.

"Oi, there they go!" August announced waving at her Prompto and Noctis. What the hell was she doing? Jasmine I didn't want to say anything to him! He's going to think she was crazy or something she thought.

"Hey, it's Jaz!" Prompto yelled out.

"What are you doing?" She harshly whispered to August. August just laughed, "Giving you that push." Then she actually pushed Jasmine into him! Making Jasmine dropped all her books on his feet. Oh, my Astrals! Jasmine thought.

"Hey!" Noctis yelled at August sounding annoyed. All she heard August say was oops as if August actually meant that. But Jasmine was too busy not paying attention to them; She wanted to get to get from this situation as quickly as possible. So she kneeled down and started picking up her books. Gods this was a nightmare. That's just what she wanted! Noctis was probably upset at her now and it wasn't even her fault. Why did she even associate with August she pondered? Was it cause she was just smart? Or was it cause she was just so nice?

"Hmm sorry about her...," Noctis said surprising Jasmine. "Aug is a little clumsy, hope you're okay."

Jasmine was lost for worst, and also lost in his eyes. How could anyone be so beautiful? She wondered. In that moment in looking into Noctis's memorizing eyes, she remembered when she first met him.

It was years ago before the prince had gotten his injuries from Marilith. He and Jasmine would sneak off together in the castle and play in the castle. Jasmine's mother worked in the castle, so every now and then she would come with her. And in those times that Jasmine would visit her curiosity got the better of her, causing her to run off and play with the only other child she knew was there.

At that young age, it did not cross her mind that the boy with the pretty eyes was destined to rule the country in a few years. She only thought of him as the playfully kind child with the pretty eyes. It would be a few years later when he wasn't around anymore that she would find out who he really was. And in her own mind, she couldn't help but be embarrassed. I must have been so stupid to him back then she would think. Jasmine had convinced herself that Noctis would think nothing of her now. It wasn't like she was anyone important anyway.

Shaking her head, Jasmine focused on what she was doing again, "No I should watch where I'm going." She spoke up in a hurry grabbing her books from him. Standing up she barely looked him back in his face now, "Sorry." was all she muttered, then she ran off to her next class. August tried to call out to her but Jasmine had already ran off too far.

Noctis stood there feeling a little flustered. "Did I do something wrong?" He questioned.

"Man you really are clueless sometimes." Prompto had spoken up shaking his head. Even Prompto had noticed all the times Jasmine had been admiring him from afar, and it didn't take a genuine to figure out she was looking at Noctis.

"Huh?" Noctis said frowning.

"I don't think he can help it." August shook her head responding to Prompto and Ignoring Noctis.

Noctis only rolled his eyes at his two friends.

But Noctis couldn't ignore the unsettling feeling he felt in the pit of his stomach as he watched Jasmine turn down the hall.
