Questo equipaggiamento, caratterizzato da un'interfaccia tutta nuova e completamente personalizzabile, sfrutta comandi vocali di ultima concezione e un touchscreen da 12" ad alta definizione su cui vengono visualizzate, oltre alle pagine del menu principale, anche le immagini della vettura a 360°, generate da nuove fotocamere ad alta definizione. Il sistema Iris, tra le numerose nuove funzioni, consente ora alla DS 9 di collegare la vettura allo smartphone tramite l'app My DS e di attivare così da remoto il pre-condizionamento dell'abitacolo, la ricarica della batteria, di consultarne lo stato di carica o i dati di viaggio, nonché di aprire o chiudere le porte e accendere le luci. Con l'arrivo del nuovo model year, oltre al sistema di infotainment, anche la gamma è andata incontro a un rinnovamento significativo, con l'introduzione di un terzo livello di allestimento, Opera, che si colloca in cima all'offerta, al di sopra di Performance Line+ e Rivoli+, e che offre di serie le Active Scan Suspension, l'Extended Safety Pack con guida assistita di livello 2, il DS Driver Attention Monitoring e il DS Night Vision. Presenti anche l'impianto audio Focal Electra e il DS Lounge Pack per i passeggeri posteriori, che comprende bracciolo centrale posteriore in pelle Premium, pulsante di cortesia per spostare il sedile del passeggero anteriore in avanti, climatizzatore automatico bi-zona, sedili posteriori riscaldati, massaggianti e climatizzati, tetto apribile, cofano elettrico e parabrezza riscaldato. Di serie anche il rivestimento in pelle Nappa (con il caratteristico cinturino in tre colori distinti: Art Rubis Rosso, Art Basalt Nero e il nuovo Grigio Perla) e il logo DS in rilievo su poggiatesta, console e cruscotto. Il pacchetto Esprit de Voyage. Da segnalare anche una novità in fatto di personalizzazioni, con il debutto del pacchetto Esprit de Voyage, che si caratterizza per gli interni in pelle Nappa e Alcantara grigio perla e per il pannello sotto lo schermo centrale con goffratura termica che si richiama agli inserti in rilievo degli orologiai parigini e identifica la posizione del DS Design Studio di Parigi da cui i raggi si estendono tracciando una mappa dell'Europa. Il volante è in pelle fiore Nero Basalto, il cruscotto in pelle Nappa Nero Basalto e il ripiano posteriore in Alcantara nera. Quattro le tinte esterne dell'allestimento: Grigio Cristallo, Blu Imperiale, Grigio Platino e Nero Perla. Confermati i due ibridi plug-in. Per quello che riguarda la gamma motori è confermata l'offerta tutta ibrida plug-in del modello originale, con i powerstep da 250 (trazione anteriore) e 360 CV (trazione integrale). La prima combina un 1.6 quattro cilindri turbobenzina da 200 CV a un'unità elettrica da 110: alimentata da una batteria da 15,6 kWh (con caricatore di bordo da 7,4 kW), spunta una percorrenza di 75 km a zero emissioni e un consumo omologato di 1,0 l/100 km, per emissioni di 22 g/km di CO2. La seconda aggiunge al powertrain sopra descritto una seconda unità elettrica da 113 CV al posteriore: equipaggiata con la stessa batteria da 15,6 kWh tocca i 250 km/h di velocità massima (e i 140 km/h in modalità elettrica) e copre lo 0-100 km/h in 5,6 secondi.
