So like, iron widow spoiler warning i guess but-

ive seen a few people criticize wzt's characterization because her feminism gets really im not like othr girl-ish and she seems to not really like other girls and i totally grt that but also? I feel like a lot of her relationsips with other women just get powerdrived by plot circumstances?

Like, prior to her meeting the other pilots her lady relationships are with her mom (not great because #justabusedthings), her sister (amazing and i love you but hhhh sucks u died) and the other girls at the testing site (very much pities them but otherwise dosnt care for them because shes in "eyes on the murder prize" mode)

Like, i know she has her "yelling leftist theory at people doesnt help most of the working class" moment when talking with the tortoise pilot (i listened to fhe audio book so im not 100% on name spelling) and actually recognizes other people are not revenge driven morally grey main characters an cant just punch the system in the face. Its not realistic and its not okay for her to push her own fuck it all additude on other women assuming they just dont understand things are unfair.

Same with trying to give her mom a second chance at said pilots behest. We learn later this was a set up but she genuinely wants her mom to be and do better up until the end but her having a relationship with her mother just doesnt fit in with her world conquering, especially because she already holds so much trauma with her family and cant let herself have a weakness like that.

I think her relationship w the tiger pilot (im SO sorry i will get a paperback soon and edit in their actual names) is better in that they Dont get along at first and its for pretty realistic reasons that tie back to the same issue. Theyre both angry, distrustful, hurt women trying to make it in their own situations and for a while thats just not something either of them can get over. Its not until they both see through their trees to look at the forest burning down around them. It seems petty and silly at some points but both of them are fighting for their lives here and see eachother as a threat to that. But even with that sand paper rough start and continuation, they till have the best nonromantic relationship in the book (nonromantic? 👀)

Idk! I feel like wzt had a lot of opportunities to have better relationships with the very few women in her life but because of their societal circumstances and plot moving forward, a lot of them just dont go places! And i hope we see her interact and connect with more women in the second book but i also understand why things went the way they did.

we also played mini golf today so here are my alyanette mini golf headcanons:

-alya usually wins

-alya is a powerdriver and when they get to holes where you have to go through a narrow path or around a giant curve, she Will hit the ball into the air and over to where the hole is

-marinette can sink the ball in one shot if she’s not distracted

-unfortunately, playing with her girlfriend can be very distracting

-marinette is really good at figuring out how hard she needs to hit the ball, and usually gets some really lucky shots

-when alya’s waiting for Marinette to go, she’ll either take pictures (marinette is REALLY cute when she’s concentrating), idly swing her club around and check out the next hole, or try to do something to help cool her down (which is when marinette tends to get distracted)

-they both have a lucky ball they use: marinette’s is orange, alya’s is red

-the score is almost always really close

-one time marinette lines up her shot, and alya sneaks in a kiss right as she goes to swing, resulting in marinette hitting her ball so hard it flies out of the hole they’re on and into the hole of another course

Those that know about these truly know the great scoring potential that these discs have, a solid addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection!- - The PD PowerDriver was first released in 2008 in the Bright Yellow S-Line Plastic with various hotstamps in Black, Red, Purple and Green! These gained incredible popularity in Europe with very few ever making it to the United States, a disc that many players swear to nothing better til this day! - Discmania later released in stiff C-Line Plastic, this disc being an early standard stock run that can be identified as being First Run with a very pronounced flat top flight plate and very rigged feel in the hand, they feel just as overstable as they fly. These typically had the “PD” written over the “weight” but I’ve seen that go both way in this particular run, but it’s all about the plastic that designates this incredible run. - These are sone of my favorite discs to throw because they are the perfect compliment to any Disc Golf bag arsenal. They are a Speed 10 Driver that fit the gap perfectly in between the slower speed fairway drivers and the higher speed distance drivers. What’s the Advantage And Disadvantage of Sublimation Printing?

The advantages of sublimation printing are as follows:

1.Sublimation is one of the very few methods you can print full colored images onto hard surfaces.

2.It creates brighter and smoother color variations and transitions than you’ll find with inkjet printing, and a superior overall look.

3.It is permanent and cannot flake off like some types of ink wil.

4.Almost unlimited colors to choose from. Thousands of colors can be produced with sublimation (even if you choose a 4 color printer). And it doesn’t cost extra to add additional colors to your design.

5.Same cost to print one item or 1000 items. So no need for minimum orders, and perfect for 1-up items and promotional items for small businesses, schools, charities, sports teams, parties, reunions, and many more!

6.Complete customization! The advantage of digital sublimation printing is that no plates are required, so it is ideal for customizing designs with changing elements such as names, numbers, etc.

7.Sublimation is quick and easy to produce, allowing for same day or same hour printing, as well as on demand printing that reduces risk and wastage.

8.Screen printing can be a complicated learning process and become quite messy where as sublimation is an easier process to master.

As with anything there can be disadvantages, and sublimation is the same. Some of the disadvantages for sublimation printing are as follows:

1.Substrates need to be polyester coated or made of polyester fabric.

2.Substrates need to be white or light colored. You cannot print onto dark or black colored items.

3.Printers tend to clog if not used for extended periods of time. With the introduction of Ricoh printers, the clogging risk has been significantly reduced. However we still recommend doing a nozzle check once a week.

4.Sublimation inks are relatively expensive compared with OEM inks. This will need to be factored in when pricing your products.

5.Color Management issues. With the installation of the PowerDriver, color management problems have been significantly reduced. As with all printers, color management issues will vary depending on the graphic/photograph.
