It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. . This Ice Clear Champion Roc with the INNColor United States Disc Golf Championship Stamp with my name on it is definitely a centerpiece of my personal Disc Golf Collection! . These incredibly unique, one-of-a-kind discs were given to every competitor (158 players in both of the Open & Performance Flights) that attended the 17th United States Disc Golf Championship in 2015. . This actual disc has the number “15” indicating that I played in fifteen United States Disc Golf Championships and this was the last one that I played in being that I’ve been heavily involved in the media side of this event over the past 3-years! . I was actually one of only seven players to shoot under par during the Final Round securing another Top-20 finish at the final PDGA Major of the season. . Fun Fact: I’ve qualified for every single USDGC in the past 20-years and I’ve attended every one of these amazing tournaments to date except for the first one back in 1999. . This is a true piece of Disc Golf History making this disc one of my personal favorites in my Disc Golf Collection! • Have you personally played or attended the USDGC yet? • #Roc #USDGCRoc #USDGC #15Years #AveryJenkins #VintageCollectible #DiscGolfCollection (at United States Disc Golf Championship) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpZclRdHNCi/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1r8zil0vwcv2z

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. . Now this isn’t an older disc by any means but it’s a rare disc because of the very limited quantity and the actual full-color disc graphic that make this one very unique. . So every year I submit literally hundreds of photos of various Disc Golf Baskets and other Disc Golf related photos from my world travels throughout the season to Innova for their annual calendar. . I was honored with the calendar cover photo a few years back with this gorgeous picture of Hole 18’s Basket at Mulligan’s Disc Golf Course in Ogden, UT overlooking the beautiful Wasatch Mountains in the distance. . A White Star Roc with the full-color image was given to all photographers that were selected as a gift from Innova Champion Discs Inc. as a token of their appreciation for the use of the photos for the 2016 Innova Calendar! . This beauty was the only one of these discs in existence until I ordered a few more of these for gifts, so now there’s only 7 of these discs that exist. . This is a great piece of Disc Golf History making this disc one of my personal favorites in my Disc Golf Collection! . #Roc #StarRoc #Innova #InnovaChampionDiscs #DiscGolfUtah #VintageCollectible #DiscGolfCollection (at Mulligans Creekside Disc Golf) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpHi5KeAOpY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xwogl8p3fx4i

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. • This Beautiful Black 1999 Disc Golf Hall of Fame Aviar autographed by three of my idols Tim Selinske, Steve Wisecup and Sam Ferrans is definitely a centerpiece of my personal Disc Golf Collection! • The Aviar itself has been a staple and reliable putter as Innova’s flagship disc since first releasing in 1983 not too much longer after becoming a premier professional golf disc manufacturer! • This actual run of Black Hall of Fame Aviars with the gold stamp are particularly in limited supply upon their release at past Disc Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies at the annual World Championships! I’ve heard that these are released in very short supply of approximately 200 every year with very few of them ever being thrown because of the incredible collectibility. The annual induction ceremony now takes places at the Hall of Fame Classic Disc Golf Event at the International Disc Golf Center in Augusta, Georgia every October! • This autographed version in matching gold ink by these Disc Golf Legends of the sport make this disc extra special and even more valuable! Tim Selinske is one of the four founding original owners of Innova Champion Discs Inc., Steve Wisecup is the 1989 Disc Golf World Champion and Sam Ferrans is the 1986 Disc Golf World Champion! • This is a true piece of Disc Golf History making this disc one of my personal favorites in my Disc Golf Collection! • Have you personally seen any of various year these Hall of Fame discs before? 💎 • #Aviar #HallOfFame #DiscGolfHallOfFame #HallOfFameAviar #VintageCollectible #DiscGolfCollection (at Innova Champion Discs) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnsourSBHv6/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=15keucv0snne8

So I recently started a weekly series of disc posts called #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible.- - This beautiful merlot with silver stamp Discmania First Run C-Line PD PowerDriver is a great thrower for those that love PD’s. Those that know about these truly know the great scoring potential that these discs have, a solid addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection!- - The PD PowerDriver was first released in 2008 in the Bright Yellow S-Line Plastic with various hotstamps in Black, Red, Purple and Green! These gained incredible popularity in Europe with very few ever making it to the United States, a disc that many players swear to nothing better til this day! - Discmania later released in stiff C-Line Plastic, this disc being an early standard stock run that can be identified as being First Run with a very pronounced flat top flight plate and very rigged feel in the hand, they feel just as overstable as they fly. These typically had the “PD” written over the “weight” but I’ve seen that go both way in this particular run, but it’s all about the plastic that designates this incredible run. - These are sone of my favorite discs to throw because they are the perfect compliment to any Disc Golf bag arsenal. They are a Speed 10 Driver that fit the gap perfectly in between the slower speed fairway drivers and the higher speed distance drivers. Making it a disc of choice when you don’t want to back down on a distance or have to step up a gear on a fairway to get the desired distance. It’s disc like this that have changed the game and the First Run C-Line PD are some of personal favorites in my Disc Collection!- - Do yourself a favor and get one of these discs in your bag! Does anyone have one of these gems in their personal Disc Golf Collection? 💎 - - #Discmania #PD #FirstRunPD #DiscGolfCollection

So some of you may already know that I’m a huge disc collector and I’ve been infatuated with the hobby for over 30-years! It was this madness for collecting that was first started by father, Leroy Jenkins, that initially fueled my passion for collecting being a local disc dealer at our home course. I’ve since taken that to another level amassing a sizable collection of rarities throughout all of my years of traveling, playing and competing. So I wanted to start a series of posts that will feature a disc from my collection including a short story explaining why that disc is considered rare and collectible. And I’m going to call it #FrisbeeVaultFriday! This First Run Champion Edition CE Valkyrie right here was a true game changer when it first released in late-2000. It was the first Speed 9 Driver that allowed many of the players to throw farther they ever have before and the stiff Champion Edition CE set the new standard for ultimate disc durability. Besides being a First Run CE Disc, what makes this disc ultra collectible is that it’s quadruple stamped with multiple foil colors signifying that this was possibly used as a setup disc to properly align and center the hotstamp before stamping the entire run of Valkyries. This super unique, one-of-a-kind disc is one of personal favorites in my Disc Collection! #FirstRunCEValkyrie #DiscGolf #DiscGolfCollection #AJDiscCollection #AJDiscVault #FrisbeeVaultFriday

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. This is the distance driver that completely revolutionized the sport upon it’s first release in 2007. The First Run Star Destroyer became a stable in the bags of many top players. As distance drivers became more and more sought after with the expansion and extension of longer holes on Disc Golf Courses. Many companies started to produce faster discs to produce more distance down the fairway but the addition of speed was always a tricky balance with controlability as well. It wasn’t until the release of the Star Destroyer was a player granted both distance and accuracy along with ultimate control all in an ultra long range distance driver. Even after 10-years and lots of faster high speed drivers on the market, it still remains the best distance driver on the planet. This particular Tye Dyed First Run ProtoStar Destroyer is a very unique as you might assume with any dyed disc it’s one-of-a-kind! This one was dyed by The iconic Innova Star Stamp signifying the first run of any newer mold with the four-pointed star symbolizes excellence and four stars representing the four partners (Dunipace, Selinske, Duvall & Williams) that founded Innova in 1983! Besides being an phenomenal disc with a gorgeous hotstamp design, it’s a disc that changed the game and it was a true honor as this later became my Signature Disc, the AJ Star Destroyer. This super unique and historic disc is one of personal favorites in my Disc Collection! Has anyone have one of these gems in their personal Disc Golf Collection? 💎 #FirstRunStarDestroyer #DiscGolf #DiscGolfCollection #AJDiscCollection #AJDiscVault #InnovaDiscs #FrisbeeVaultFriday @innovadiscs (at Innova Discs) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bqhq6TpHhQr/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rwwkyt6xmodk

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging into my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible.- - This Beautiful Vintage Red San Marino Mold (1984) Aviar Sports Disc with Reflective Rainbow "The Leading Edge in Flying Disc Technology - For Disc Sports by Innova" stamp is a solid historical addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection!- - These are the very first Golf Discs to be sold in retail markets and sporting good stores throughout the country. I’ve even seen these discs sold in the first 3-pack set included along with a Shark and Whippet. - The vintage concentric ring stamp creates a very classic but simple design that compliments the circular shape of the disc, I’ve always been a huge fan of those. These were all produced in DX plastic and I’ve only personally seen these released in Red, Yellow and Blue. Although a majority of these Aviar Sports Discs are 150-Class Weight, I do have a few heavier Aviars with this particular stamp.- - These are some of my favorite discs to collect because first off I’m a huge Aviar Collector plus these are just beautiful vintage discs. These are a true piece of Disc Golf History making them some of my personal favorites in the Disc Collection!- - Have you personally thrown or seen one of these discs before? 💎 - - #Aviar #AviarSportsDisc #VintageCollectible #DiscGolfCollection https://www.instagram.com/p/BmlvtV7AubK/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=r34xjjqq0ceq

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. . This particular Bright Pink First Run Blizzard Champion Boss was actually once the furthest thrown disc on the planet! It was initially in my personal Disc Golf Collection but now it’s carefully kept by it’s rightful owner and former World Distance Champion, Simon Lizotte! . It’s not a super limited run of discs being that there was an entire first run of these Blizzard Champion Bosses as indicated by the air bubbles located throughout the top flight plate of the disc. The only other First Run Blizzard Champion Discs were Destroyers, Katanas and Wraiths that had these bubble top flight plates which focused on having much of the disc’s weight distributed to the outer rim enhancing it’s overall distance potential. . Simon borrowed a stack of 10 of these bright blue and bright pink Blizzard Champion Bosses for the 2014 Big D in the Desert Distance Contest in Primm, NV on a mission to do something special. . Simon Lizotte set the World Distance Record for the longest throw of a golf disc at 863.5 ft (263.2 m) on October 25, 2014 with this actual disc! . Fun Fact: This throw beat David Wiggins Jr.'s previous record of 836 ft set in 2012. Lizotte broke his own record on March 27, 2016 with a throw of 903.9 ft (275.5 m), a record that stood for two days until Wiggins Jr. threw for 1,108.9 ft (338 m). Lizotte then set a personal record throw of 1030 ft. . This is a true piece of Disc Golf Distance History making this disc one of my personal favorites in my Disc Golf Collection! . Do you think that the World Distance Record will ever be broken again? . #Boss #BlizzardBoss #ChampionBoss #WorldRecord #WorldDistanceRecord #SimonLizotte #DiscGolfCollection (at Rancho Cucamonga, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BprleqUHiWb/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1vk8ng4vniqq6

It’s #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible.- • This Beautiful Tye-Dye 2007 PDGA Disc Golf World Championships - CFR (Champion or Candy Fundraiser) Wraith is a solid addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection! • The Wraith first released during the Summer of 2005 and it quickly became a player favorite with a great combination of distance and control at the never seen before speed 11. It was a true game changer allowing players to throw further than ever producing some incredible results on the course. • This particular run of Champion Wraiths was released in 2007 as a fundraiser disc for the Pro Worlds in Augusta, Georgia hence the collector name of the “Augusta Wraith”! I’ve heard that there was upwards of 500+ of these in existence with many of them being thrown because of their amazing performance leaving much less than that in pristine collector condition coming in a variety of colors and ranges of pearlescence. • This Augusta Wraith is especially unique because there were very limited numbers of the tye-dyed version as I’ve never personally seen another one but I’m sure that they exist. These are a true piece of Disc Golf History making them some of my personal favorites in the Disc Collection!- • Have you personally thrown or seen one of these discs before? 💎 - • #Wraith #ChampionWraith #AugustaWraith #VintageCollectible #DiscGolfCollection https://www.instagram.com/p/BnJUzkIABq6/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xpsiuhab2me5

So I recently started a weekly series of disc posts called #FrisbeeVaultFriday where I’ll be digging in to my #DiscGolfCollection, giving you a little background story on a special disc and why it’s a highly sought after collectible. This beautiful Eleven-Time Ken Climo KC Pro Teebird is a true collectible for all of Teebird Lovers out there and a great addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection! The first runs of DX Teebirds released in 1998-1999 making a huge impact the control and distance for many players offering incredible accuracy for a true fairway driver. This particular run of KC Pro Teebirds released on the market after Ken Climo’s 11th World Title in 2002. It was highly sought after by top professionals at the time and even more so by serious Disc Collectors because of the great feeling plastic blend along with this iconic stock stamp. These were initially released being described as KC Pro Plastic even though these were obviously produced in a Champion Plastic Blend which made things confusing at first. These were later released in other subsequent runs with a completely different stock stamp and dropping “PDGA” from the “Eleven Time Disc Golf World Champion” along with correctly calling it a Champion Teebird as intended. This disc being a standard stock run there’s no telling the actual number of these discs that were produced being offered in various plastic and stamp colors. What makes this disc really special is the addition of the “NorCal Series” Circular Mini Center Stamp indicating that these were in limited quantities provided for special releases at certain Disc Golf Tournaments. These are sometimes difficult to locate because many of them were obviously thrown but these have made a nice resurgence on the Collector Market as of late. I’ve been trying to purchase these whenever possible as I’m trying to collect all of the different tournament stamps and uncommon color combinations. This super unique version with the additional stamp and it’s one of personal favorites in my Disc Collection! Has anyone have one of these gems in their personal Disc Golf Collection? 💎 - - #ElevenTime #11X #KCProTeebird #DiscGolf #DiscGolfCollection

It was this madness for collecting that was first started by father, Leroy Jenkins, that initially fueled my passion for collecting being a local disc dealer at our home course for decades. The 2001 Gold Masters Cup Champion Edition CE Aviar is worth it’s weight in gold (I only wish) as it’s a highly collectible addition to anyone’s Disc Golf Collection! This particular run of CE Aviars is highly sought after because these were produced using the 2001 CE Plastic the same as the extremely valuable 2001 CE Rocs that everyone raves over but in gold color with less than 100 in existence and many in the low-to-mid 160 grams. Plus disc represents the iconic Masters Cup Event that has been a very historic tournament hosted at the world famous DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course in Santa Cruz, CA! It’s a dual-stamp two-color beauty that was offered in a variety of color combinations. These discs truly made purchasing fundraisers something special with these super limited runs of incredible in demand discs to commemorate their event. The other CE Aviars that released during that season were the bright day-glow green ones with various hotstamps from about 12-15 tournaments but these were the only ones that were gold. And especially more collectible if you could find one like this max weight 175 gram antique. These are sometimes difficult to locate because of the limited production but I try to purchase these whenever possible as I’m trying to collect all of the tournament stamps and color combinations. This super unique and historic disc is one of personal favorites in my Disc Collection! It was this madness for collecting that was first started by father, Leroy Jenkins, that initially fueled my passion for collecting being a local disc dealer at our home course for decades. This 1990 Worlds Aviar was a disc sold at the PDGA Disc Golf World Championships in Arizona. It’s a pristine white Triple-ring DX Aviar with blue hotstamp depicting a Disc Golf Basket in a desert setting with the sun setting over the Camelback Mountains all contained in the logo shape of the state of Arizona. What makes this truly special is that the 1990 Worlds was Ken Climo’s first Disc Golf World Championship Title as he proved that he was the best player in the world and went on a streak of 9-World Championships in a row (12 in total). A unimaginable feat that will unlikely ever be challenged by another player over that longevity for that continuous streak or quantity of World Championship Titles, period. Besides being an incredible disc with a gorgeous hotstamp design, it’s a disc that represents the start of an illustrious career and a legacy for a iconic World Champion that absolutely made this amazing sport what it is today! This super unique and historic disc is one of personal favorites in my Disc Collection!
