Things to watch if your favorite show is being affected by the WGA strike
This is everything that I have watched and enjoyed. They are by no means perfect shows. This includes complete series, cancelled series, and series that are still in progress. Feel free to add your own recommendations.
Only Murders in the Building (Hulu; currently on season 3)
Murder mystery dramedy set in a wealthy NYC apartment complex
Staring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomes as three residents who decide to make a podcast about the murder
The cast has great chemistry and the twists are compelling
Gravity Falls (Hulu/Disney; ended after 2 seasons in 2014)
An animated show about a pair of fraternal twins who spend the summer with their con-man great uncle in a weird, monster filled town
Absolutely iconic children's show.
Dead End: Paranormal Park (Netflix; cancelled after 2 seasons in 2023)
Animated YA show about two teens, an exiled demon, and a pug, that all work at a haunted theme park and are investigating the disappearances of some of the staff
Similar in style to Gravity Falls
Sadly cancelled by Netflix, but there's also the graphic novels to enjoy
Reservation Dogs (Hulu, ended after season 3 in 2023)
Coming of age dramedy about four Indigenous teens living on a reservation in Oklahoma as they mourn a friend who died and dream of running away to California together
Made by an all Indigenous writers, directors, and main cast
Scrubs (Hulu; ended after 8 seasons 2010)
Workplace comedy about staff at a California hospital
Praised as the one of most medically accurate medical show
Very much a 2000s comedy. Humor can be jarring/mean by today's standards
What We Do in the Shadows (Hulu, currently on season 5)
A mockumentary following 4 vampires and their familiar that live on Staten Island as they go about their boring, pathetic lives
Makes fun of the "cool, sexy, edgy" vampire trope
Based on a 2014 movie of the same name
Dead to Me (Netflix, ended after 3 seasons in 2022)
A traumedy (trauma comedy) following a woman who's husband was killed in a hit-and-run and the perpetrator who lost her own partner and secretly befriends her
It's funny about what happens but does deal with some heavy topics so definitely look into that before watching
The Owl House (Disney; ended after 3-ish seasons in 2023)
About a young girl who wanders into the Demon Realm and decides to stay there and become of witch instead of going to summer camp
Celebrates being the weirdo and being kind to people
Made by many of the same people who did Gravity Falls
The Office (Peacock; ended after 9 seasons in 2013)
Workplace mockumentary about some bizarre people who work in a boring office space
Features a lot of cringe/second-hand embarrassment based humor
Based on the British limited series of the same name
Very much a 2000s comedy that can at times be just plain mean. Season 1 is the worst season by far so if you can get through it the character become way more likeable
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (Netflix, ended after 5 seasons in 2020)
An animated fantasy about a young soldier who simultaneously discovers that her side is the aggressor in the war and that the planet has chosen her to be it's legendary protector. This forces her to leave the only home she's known and her childhood friend to fight for the rebellion, who she thought were her enemies
A remake of the 1985 He-Man spinoff series
Very "defeat them with power of friendship and also this sword you found in the woods"
BoJack Horseman (Netflix, ended after 6 seasons in 2020)
An adult animated comedy about a self-centered, washed-up 90s sitcom actor (who is a horse) as he struggles to become famous again and break out of his destructive habits
Satirizes Hollywood, media culture, and American politics
One of those shows where you aren't supposed to admire the main characters
Big trigger warnings for this one. Seriously.
Good Omens (Amazon Prime, currently on season 2)
Follows the misadventures of a demon and an angel, a witch's descendent, two unskilled witch hunters, a sex-worker, and the antichrist and his friends as the antichrist grows into his power and brings about Armageddon, all set to Queen songs
Based on the 1990 book by Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett
The fandom focuses a lot of the shipping side of the show but forget all of that if you plan to watch it
Season 2 wrecked me
Gentleman Jack (HBO Max & the BBC; cancelled after season 2 in 2022)
Based on the real diaries of Anne Lister, a wealthy lesbian in 1830s England who is looking for a wife and to expand her business enterprises
Sadly HBO pulled away and the BBC couldn't afford to make another season without them. What was made is still worth checking out.
Our Flag Means Death (HBO Max; currently on season 1)
A pirate workplace comedy/romcom that loosely follows the real life of Stede Bonnet, a wealthy landowner who ran away to become a pirate due to a mid-life crisis. He wants so badly to be a pirate captain but is far from qualified for the role.
"Traditionally, piracy is a culture of abuse...floggings, keelhaulings. And my thought is, "Why?" And also, what if it weren't like that?" really is the thesis of the show
(Edit) omg I cant believe I forgot:
Avatar: the Last Airbender (Netflix; ended after 3 seasons in 2008)
An animated children's fantasy series in which people can manipulate one of the four elements, and their peacekeeper, the Avatar, can manipulate all four. After being frozen in ice for 100 years, the 12 year old Avatar learns that the Fire Nation has begun a war that he must stop by next summer
Literally the blueprint for the modern animation that we enjoy today. IDK what else to say. It's iconic
Hilda (Netflix; ended after 2 seasons and 1 movie in 2021)
An animated children's fantasy series set in a world full of Nordic folk creatures
After spending much of her life living in the woods with her mom and her pet deerfox, Hilda is upset to learn that her mom now wants to move to Trolberg, a walled-off city where Hilda fears there is nothing interesting to do. She quickly discovers that there is just as much magic and wonder in the city as there is in the woods.
She's voiced by Bella Ramsay and the animation is beautiful. It's all all-around good vibes show.
Interview with the Vampire (AMC; currently on season 1)
After the first interview in the 70s that ended in disaster, Louis de Pointe du Lac reached out to Daniel Molloy and demanded a do-over. He goes back to his life as a black businessman in 1910s New Orleans and the complicated relationship between himself and Lestat de Lioncourt.
It's actually gay enough this time you guys.
I'd also like to add:
The Bear (FX/Hulu; currently on season 2)
A dramedy about a New York chef who inherits a failing sandwich shop after his older brother commits suicide.
Sometimes a found family isn't all sunshine and unicorns. Sometimes its a lot of screaming and resentment and cussing each other out.
It's a very stressful to watch so it's not for everyone, but if you're the type who finds that cathartic then you should give it a watch.
The Sandman (Netflix; currently on season 1)
Begins in 1916 with the capture of the god of dreams by a greedy sorcerer. After he escapes he must rebuild his realm and repair the damage done by his absence.
Trying to describe this show is really, really, difficult. It would be easier to describe what this show isn't.
Based on the DC comic of the same name by Neil Gaiman.

Spider-Man Read-Through 073 Brand Corporation and Tarantula (ASM 233-237)
MASTERPOST
My husband the Tarantula is back, yay!
Tumblr media
Uncensored, you say? :D
So Nose Norton has disappeared, which is a problem for Jameson and his investigation about the Brand Corporation. Everyone -Peter included, of course- starts searching for him. Meanwhile, Lance's girlfriend, Amy, gets the idea to seduce Peter to make Lance jealous... If this leads to hot, steamy hanky-panky between Peter and Lance, I'm all in!
At Miami Beach, the artstyle has washed-out colors, it's very charming. The Tarantula gets hired to kill Nose! I like that story, it's funny to see everyone search for that guy.
Nose is on Staten Island, and not only does the Tarantula get the tip, but Ben Urich, followed by Spider-Man, also gets it!
Tumblr media
That left panel is gorgeous, you know me.
On the boat to Staten Island, Peter very bisexually surprises Ben, who's quite baffled. The duo finds Nose first!
Tumblr media
First off: no more spurs on the Tarantula's boots :( I'm sad, it was a fun detail. Secondly: Peter keeps being very touchy-feely with other men and I like it.
Spidey and the Tarantula quickly come to hands and be reassured, the spurs are still there, yay! He even has new blades on his fingers, this is great. He's a big cat <3
Suddenly, private investigators hired by the Brand corporation shoot Nose and pretend he shot first. Ben thinks it's a little too convenient. We see blood under Nose's barely alive body (edgy!)
When Peter Parker comes back to where Ben is, the latter asks him if he has a picture of who shot first...
In the reader's letters, people have apparently loved ASM 228, "Killed by a Spider". You don't remember that one? Me neither. It was a mystery that wasn't actually a mystery. It was bad. People also rightfully complain about Debra Whitman's treatment. Poor girl.
In ASM 234, Will'O The Wisps is at the Brand Corporation and destroys the Boston factory.
At the Bugle, Peter and Ben Urich are now besties, but Peter doesn't have a picture of the shootout. Ned's work about the Brand corporation leaves Betty unsatisfied, and Amy's back to get her hands on Peter.
He escapes her and goes back home, where he meets his gay bear neighbour, Pincus.
Actually, we already saw Pincus! He's the guy who kept singing and waking up Peter, who got his day in the limelight in a recent and lovely issue. I didn't recognize him, only understood checking the comments. Hell yeah.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the Tarantula angsts about his broken ribs, but a doctor says he can turn him in Spider-Man, whatever that means.
At ESU, Peter learns that Brand offers an internship and goes there.
Tumblr media
Hey that's really slick. It almost feels modern.
The Tarantula arrives in the secret room Spidey finds, and he intervenes, saying that "one Spider-Man in this world is enough". See you in a decade. Or a few more. This is cute.
Will'O The Wisps also arrives on the scene... but it's too late.
Tumblr media
...Thaaaat's what I was expecting. Not the Tarantula I know and love.
In ASM 235, the Tarantula keeps being absolutely nightmarish, but at least he keeps his personality. Small comfort.
The fight eventually breaks out and everyone flees the destroyed building.
At the Bugle, a man from the government informs Jameson and us that that Brand/Roxxon plot has been involved in a lot of Marvel magazines. Then it turns out the department of justice wants Jameson to stop this investigation until they find actual proof of Brand's wrongdoings.
Following that, Spidey investigates, and Will'O the Wisps scares one of the Brand men, reminding him of who he was before getting his powers--Jackson Arvad, a scientist at Brand!
Then the Tarantula arrives.
Welcome to 1983! In #236, John T. Gamelin, Roxxon's president, witnesses the Tarantula killing Melvin through high-tech video feeds. Ha! Would you believe it?
Turns out Melvin isn't dead, and Will O' actually controls the Tarantula now. Nice.
When Spidey escapes with Melvin while the Tarantula escapes Will O's control, Gamelin gets a bit worried and he contacts Mr. D'Angelo.
After dropping Melvin somewhere safe, Spidey taunts Will O'.
Tumblr media
"Nyah nyah" lmao ok catboy
Spidey gets Will O' to calm down, but the Tarantula has found Melvin.
At this point, my eyes have been glazing over this whole thing because there's far too many fighting and it's extremely repetitive. Not a fan of how this arc is going. There's also the issue of the plot never being really personal. Hey, remember when the Jackal clones Peter's dead girlfriend and himself (and also Peter) and taunted Peter in 1975? That was personal. Ned almost died, and Peter's secret was threatened in Len's run that followed.
There's none of this. Sure, Ned is investigating Roxxon, but he's not in any danger. There's no actual stake that I'm interested in. It all feels very flat.
Anyway, Spidey's fight with the Tarantula is broadcasted, Melvin is recognized, then the broadcast is stopped because Gamelin owns the TV network.
Melvin has become a liability.
Meanwhile, the Tarantula kept evolving, until...
Tumblr media
UGH. What have you done to one of my favorite villains?! Noooooo!!!
Tumblr media
Hey, this is dark.
Tumblr media
What the fuck. The blood splatter. Not sure I'm liking this new direction. Really not sure. Are Stern's fans also fans of Frank Miller? *le sigh*
Melvin confesses to the cops.
Tumblr media
I like the checked pattern on the floor, feels very American. Was that an 80s thing?
So the arc "ends" and I wasn't really fond of it. There is some thematic resonance (monsters, big corporations owning TV stations...) but I didn't like how much fighting there was. And seriously, the dialogue and everything were EXTREMELY repetitive.
Tumblr media
EXACTLY. I FEEL LESS ALONE. Other Tarantula fans!!!!
So about this last issue...
Tumblr media
Oooh what a great cover.
We get yet another villain who has a past with several Marvel characters and recounts them, a practice I find uninteresting because it's always some variation of "everyone beat me up but I will win for sure this time!". Bring back Big Wheel at this point. Rocket Racer! They were fun at least.
So this villain only ever beat Spidey, and wants to be happy so he sets out to do that again.
Tumblr media
We'll see that later, honey. Papa is busy reading ASM and brainstorming Peter/Norman filthy smut with a dash of Parksborn.
Tumblr media
Peter's face is golden.
Later, in the subway, Peter's Spider-Sense gets aroused by a rando (who's this issue's bad guy) and wants to put a tracer on him, but he gets felt up and is not happy to discover that a thief took interest in him not for his perfect butt, but for his money.
Tumblr media
He catches the thief, Wilbut Whatever gets his new super suit at a Stark factory, and then Peter goes to May's new home for old people to get free food.
Tumblr media
Getting tired of the mortage and taxes being mentioned every damn issue for the past 25 years of publication.
In the end, Spidey and Wilbur fight it out, Spidey saves Wilbur and Wilbur decides to save Spidey in return. That's actually a nice ending for an alright issue.
Tumblr media
I'll assume they mean Black Cat. Also, our next ASM post will have the famous Hobgoblin! Can't wait to meet him.

32 Tips For Finding Pressure Washing Companies Near Me
Professional pressure washing services provide an effective way to renew surfaces like driveways, patios, and sidewalks that can become discolored by oil spots, mildew, and mold. Having a clean home can also boost its curb appeal and improve its resale value, making it an investment that pays off in the long run.
Whether you are looking to hire a professional to pressure wash your house or would like to start your own business, there are several ways to find new customers and grow your pressure washing companies near me. Read on to discover 32 tips for finding commercial contracts, landing residential jobs, and growing your small business.
The cost of pressure washing a home depends on the size of the area to be cleaned, the amount of dirt and debris that needs to be removed, and the extent of the work required to accomplish the cleaning. Some companies quote their pricing based on the square footage of the home or structure, while others use a flat rate for all residential jobs regardless of size or complexity. In either case, a thorough job should take an average of four hours per 1,500-square-foot home.
Power washing is an excellent solution to a dirty house, but it’s important to hire a qualified and experienced contractor to avoid damage. Professionals know how to properly adjust the power settings of their washers to avoid etching or harming delicate surfaces, such as cedar, or causing water damage around windows. They also know what types of detergents, water pressure, and nozzles will work best for each surface type and condition.
If you have a large exterior space that needs to be cleaned, you may want to hire a professional team that offers multiple services in addition to pressure washing, such as painting or staining. These additional services can save you time and money by allowing you to get everything done at once instead of scheduling multiple appointments.
Many people choose to have their homes pressure washed in the spring, but there is no one-size-fits-all answer for when to have a home cleaned. Pressure washing can benefit your property year-round, especially if you have oil spots from leaky vehicles or a roof with moss and mildew growth.
It’s also an excellent idea to have your home pressure washed before you put it on the market or schedule a pre-purchase inspection, as this can help increase its resale value. In addition, a home that is regularly pressure washed can prevent its paint from flaking and peeling, ensuring it retains its beauty for longer. To learn more about the benefits of having your home professionally pressure washed, contact us at Mike’s Power Washing. We are a family-owned and operated NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and The Bronx pressure washing company that is fully licensed, insured, and bonded to ensure your peace of mind. another fic masterlist! here's all my unsleeping city fics!
Weak & Unaware - Sofia hit the water with a resounding SMACK, the impact pushing air out of her lungs. She fought for consciousness, forcing her eyes open and swimming with all her might, but she felt the current pulling her away, and maybe it was her time. She knew she didn’t have enough fight left to make it back to her friends, and her body forced an inhale, water rushing into her lungs, darkness rushing over her.
ANOTHER THING HE SAID - Rowan was cutting vegetables at the kitchen island when Sofia slammed the door open, her red-bottomed heels click, click, clicking angrily against the hardwood as the brunette stormed into the apartment. A Gucci purse slammed into the wall, and Rowan, sure her neighbors could hear Sofia's groan of frustration, set down the knife without a word, moving to the sink to wash her hands.
Sunday Mornings - (Pete/Sofia) Pete always had the apartment to himself on Saturday nights. Kingston made it immensely clear that since Pete had a job and paid rent, the apartment was just as much his, and he could have guests over any time, and Pete didn't usually have company, but Sofia had asked why she'd never spent the night at his apartment, and he invited her over.
Feels Like Skydiving - (Sofia&Pete, can be read as Sofia/Pete) (TW implied/referenced self-harm) Pete has come a long way in his recovery, and he calls Sofia because he realizes just how far he’s come.
Fury of Sorrow - (Esther/Ricky, Esther&Sofia) Tony manipulated the wizards at the Occult Society. Esther knows that. It doesn’t change how much it hurts, and it sinks from her chest and into her stomach. Her mother had been betrayed and turned to rage. She was overcome by pure, unadulterated sorrow, overwhelming and powerful. Everything she’d done over the past three years came crashing down; all of Alejandro’s work tumbled to the ground and lay at her feet, destroyed.
Lives Long Gone - (Sofia/Rowan) “Because I’ve dallied with theater stars and common folk and priests and all the things in between. I have never fallen in love with the woman who climbed to the top of the empire state building and made herself the chosen woman. I’ve never lived in the city with both a Vox Populi and Vox Phantasma at the same time. I’d never seen a man sacrifice himself and become the universe to save New York. When I’m with you, my dear, the eight hundred years of things I’ve done are all useless, because, in a few months, I experienced things no version of me had ever imagined.”
Free Haircut - (Sofia/Pete) When Pete first moved to New York, he lived in an LGBTQ+ shelter. He found out that a hairdresser on Staten Island gave heavily discounted haircuts to the residents of his shelter, and he decided to go. They told him to ask for Sofia.
Dreams, Dreaming, and Him - (Pete/Rowan) Rowan travels into Nod every morning to have breakfast with Pete. Or: Rowan and Pete cling to routine and try not to lose each other in the chaos.
Awake, The Waking, and Him - (Pete/Rowan) (companion piece/part 2 to Dreams, Dreaming, and Him) Rowan and Pete are late-night texts and sneaking out in the mornings. They want more, but the past holds them apart.
Another Night In - (Sofia/Pete) This was their routine, she changed into her pajamas and he made two cups of tea, usually peppermint because she liked it, and they laid on the couch until one of them decided it was time for bed. Or: Sofia wears glasses at night and Pete thinks she's adorable.

Why You Should Use Pressure Wash to Clean Your Gutters?
Practically every house, restaurant, or any other kind of property has a set of grooves as well as downspouts erected into the structure. The core determination of such gutters is not only to effectually help drain away all of the rainfall but also to confirm that the walls, roofing, and possibly most significant of all, the structure’s basis remains dry. Driveway Cleaning Services To Consider For Your Home Or Business
Leave the tedious job of Driveway Cleaning up to the finest pressure washing business in Staten Island, Colonel Clean!.
If you live in Staten Island and need a driveway cleaning services, don't hesitate to request a free estimate from their professionals. https://www.the-driveway-company.com/driveway-cleaning/lincoln/ If you're lucky, you might be quoted for just one job in a week, with unlimited use of their equipment. This is a real bargain!
Tumblr media
Concrete Driveway Cleaning - Getting rid of oil, grease, oil and grease build-up on your driveway will not only make it look better, but will increase its value! Driveway floors must be properly maintained so that they are not stained or scarred from years of traffic and parking.
A professional concrete cleaner can get rid of harmful rust and dirt that can cause damage to your floor's surface. Rust, oil, and grease all build up because there is nothing the matter on a concrete driveway to absorb, so they will all end up being washed away with a specially designed sweeper.
Brush and Shampoo Washing Soda - Vinegar and detergents can leave your driveway looking dull, so try brushing and using a homemade washer and soap solution. Apply gentle pressure and scrub away dirt and grime. Rinse it off thoroughly to avoid staining your concrete. The same thing can be done with a homemade scrubbing brush. A combination of baking soda and warm water makes a very effective scrubbing brush.
Power Washing Soda and Detergent - Mixing equal parts detergent and power washing soda makes an effective homemade floor cleaner. Apply generous amounts to your driveway, and use a power washer to wash away dirt and stains. Scrub the area at least two times. Be sure to rinse well after each treatment, to avoid staining your concrete. Detergent only goes so far, so keep adding more detergent as needed. You can also add a little dishwashing detergent to help with tough stains.
Pressure Washing - This method uses pressurized water that you apply to the surface with a garden hose. Use enough water to thoroughly clean your driveway, but not so much that it becomes uncomfortable. After soaking your area, spray off the dirt and residue with a pressure washer. Rinse it off thoroughly to avoid staining your floor. If this doesn't work, or you find the process too tedious, call a professional driveway cleaning service. They'll be able to complete the job quickly, and may even offer advice on how to prevent stains in the future.
Heavy Duty Shower Pads - These pads are made to absorb a great deal of dirt, debris, and grime, which makes them an excellent choice for getting rid of dirt and grime. They are easy to use and can be washed down after use with just warm water. They're especially good if you have a busy household and need to get rid of the heavier dirt and debris first thing in the morning.
Metal Extrusion and Rust Resin Drilling - Both of these methods are excellent options for getting rid of dirt and rust stains from your driveway. The metal extrusion method is used for larger areas, while rust driving is perfect for getting rid of small rocks and tree limbs. When choosing either one of these exterior cleaning services, look for a company that uses quality equipment to prevent water damage to your driveway. They should also use the appropriate chemicals to avoid getting rid of the rust stains. Both of these methods are great for both residential and commercial driveways.
Liquid Sulfurizing - This process involves applying a sulfur-based cleaner to the driveway to remove deep-seated grease and rust stains. It is an excellent option if you don't want to use detergents or any other chemicals to get rid of your dirt. It is also great for removing grease from large puddles or even spots where the grease had sunk into the ground too deeply.

get ready, cause this shit is gonna get long. all of the following are either headcanons, info, or just bits and pieces of stuff that happened in peter’s childhood before and following the death of his parents. basically it’s about him being raised by may and ben. ( this also includes the aftermath of ben’s death )
be warned there may be the triggers of : LOVE AND AFFECTION
before peter lost his parents, he was raised almost by both ben and may + richard and mary. when his parents were gone, peter would stay with his aunt and uncle, sometimes for a few days. basically he was raised around the two of then constantly.
ben was made peter’s godfather the day he was born, followed by may being his godmother, appointed by both of his parents.
peter was adopted by ben and may when he was four years old. his parents were killed in a car accident ( this isn’t following the comics where they’re secret agents ; richard was an accountant and mary was a nurse )
while he wasn’t too young, peter was young enough to not entirely grasp the death of his parents. he grew up having been told they weren’t coming back, however, life with his aunt and uncle merged almost without a hitch.
ben struck an interest in science since he worked in a chemical lab at the local hospital in queens. he stemmed peter’s love for physics and science in general.
peter also picked up on a few hints of italian growing up by working with may in helping her cook and bake. ( honestly, this was his favorite childhood memory )
the three of them would literally all sit down at the dinner table when peter did homework, just to either help or goof around instead of actually working.
they totally had family game night where they’d play cheap board games or movie nights where they’d watch old movies that may or ben would pick out ( this is where the love of star wars came in )
for awhile the couldn’t afford cable or internet, so peter was basically raised on a movie collection held by his uncle ben ( who was OBSESSED with movies ) both cd’s and vcr movies cause ben is old school
ben and may totally saved up money to take peter to the stark expo because he started getting a HUGE interest in tony when he became iron man. both ben and may encouraged his interest by actually surprising him with tickets to the opening of the expo when he was nine ( the same night he stood up to the hammer drone in iron man 2 )
when peter was eleven, he was bullied for wearing bigger glasses ( bifocals to be exact since his eyes were terrible before he got his powers ) and he came home one day with a black eye. he told ben, who said not to tell may because she’d worry, and the two only hid it from her for an hour ( ben told her peter didn’t feel good so he was in his room most the night ) in which she walked in on peter brushing his teeth and saw the bruise, who in return marched to the school the next day and cussed out the teacher ( who peter had told about the bullying and they refused to say anything to the other kids ) and then the principal.
every year since he was five, they’ve gotten him a new star wars action figure for his birthday. sometimes lego, sometimes a collectible, or sometimes ben would give him an old one he had from when he was younger.
for his fourteenth birthday ( after he learned about his abilities ) peter asked for a jacket for his birthday, that was it. ben went out with ten dollars and bought him one from wal-mart. ( one peter picked out ) he didn’t question it. and peter literally cut off the arms and drew a poorly created spider on the front of it.
ben knew peter was spider-man before anyone else. he caught him rushing to put on his homemade suit after school one day, just as peter slid out the window without his mask on. later that day, peter tried to avoid ben but instead he’d found that ben washed his suit and folded it, ready for him to wear for the night. that’s the same night ben told peter “with great power comes great responsibility”.
when peter was ten, ben went away to a convention with one of his friends in washington dc, leaving him alone with may for almost the first time since he was little. the two of them went out to thai almost two nights in a row, went rollerskating, and she let peter skip school that friday so they could go to staten island and eat at his favorite pizzeria.
peter and may ( after ben’s death ) kept up the tradition of watching an old movie in peter’s mind every saturday night from ben’s movie collection ( which stayed untouched after he died ) peter wears one of his uncle’s old t-shirts from whatever movie they’re watching, may either makes lasagna or a pizza and they’ll watch one to four movies.
the first anniversary of ben’s death, peter didn’t come out of his room for the entire morning, and may finally got him out and instead of being upset, they went through photo albums that ben made of them as peter grew up and reminisced over the good times
peter literally ALWAYS goes to may first about problems, even when ben was alive, he’d go to her first ( unless it was about bullying )
ben always got may flowers for her birthday, and the year he died, peter scavenged all over new york looking for a florist who’d give him a bouquet like the ones ben used to get, but ended up making one himself ( which wasn’t that great ) and she put them in a vase on the dining table.
