OKAY I DID IT, I FIGURED OUT THE LAYOUT
Disclaimer: it seems like the size of the ship changes every time we see it, but the newest eps vs wano seem pretty consistent so I went with that and used Wire's height for scale
Tumblr media
Floor layouts under the cut ✂️
Edit: you can find clearer/more detailed versions here
Tumblr media
Layout based on the 31 member crew that Oda confirmed. I also took in to account that a significant portion of the members are fucking massive, so everything is bigger which matches the scale it's drawn in. Floors are approx 5m high with 2m wide doors in most places, which makes sense when a good portion of the crew are 3m tall.
Sorry about my handwritting lmao I'm so tired but I have serious brainworms and couldn't sleep
The specifics:
Tumblr media
Kid's Floor
Of course he has his own floor
Quarters include his own private dining space which I imagine would also include a workdesk, bedroom with king sized bed and probably a couch, walk in closet, and bathroom definitely large enough for a massive tub
Workshop also has bathroom entrance for when he's feelin lazy
Ladder space in the middle goes straight through, this is so crew going to the castle deck don't access his floor
Commander's floor
Heat, Wire and Killer have their own rooms and a private lounge just for them and Kid
Heat and Wire share a large bathroom, definitely big enough for normal bath
Heat and Killer have king sized beds, Wire's bed is almost as wide as a king but mostly it's made especially long
Small decking that runs the whole way around, unspoken rule that crew aren't allowed there since windows peer into commander's rooms
Killer could probably fit a drumkit in his room 👀
Tumblr media
Cannon Deck
We get peeks of this in the anime and in Oda's notes but they're fuzzy so I just did my best
Made a mistake tho, cannon platform should be whole way around back like a U shape to account for 3 cannons facing backwards, total 9 cannons
Theoretically this is where the helm should be so uh that's where I put it
Screenshots make it look like they also store a lot of other weapons here
Main deck
Forecastle includes navigation room with bookcases, central table, and desk for paperwork
Forecastle also has infirmary with two longer than normal beds to account for larger crewmates, and a desk for crew doctor to keep notes
Door between nav and infirmary cos Kid is lazy
Kitchen and pantry. Given the rooms are 5m from floor to ceiling I imagine that pantry would have a small mezzanine accessed by a ladder to take advantage of vertical space (and would be a sick place to nap)
Galley/dining hall contains 3 bench style tables, seating 10 large crewmates each, with one extra fancy chair at the end of one for Kid
Tumblr media
Lower deck
Did my best to do some math to figure out how many larger than normal beds were required and decided on 6 bunks for 12 larger crewmates
Additional rooms for average sized crewmates include 4 rooms with 2 bunks each, and one room with 1 bunk, making for a total of 30 beds below deck. That means, counting the commanders for the 31, there are currently 3 empty beds, so a few rooms aren't complete full
Probably looks like fuck all space but its actually significant for a ship living quarters
According to google you only need 1 toilet per 10 people and 1 shower per 40 but that seems like BS. Bathroom has 4 large, accessible sized toilets, 4 showers, long benches down the center and a long counter with plenty of space and mirrors for makeup, given how many crewmates wear it
Also, storage room. Could be converted to extra room for another bunk
Hold
Access via ladder
4 cells. No toilets, you get a bucket ✌️ tbh might not even have beds but there's room for em anyway
Desk in case they need to keep an eye on prisoners
3 storage rooms, but i think one of these would actually be a torture room. Probably the one by the desk.
Mechanisms for power and water are probably in one of these rooms as well as a lot of materials for ship repairs
Also of note
Crows nest is definitely big enough for a bench, definitely big enough for... activities. Not as big as the Sunny's though I dont think a gym would fit, I think it'd be more likely that gym equipment is kept on the cannon deck
Idk if the mizzenmast is supposed to go all the way through but that physically can't happen with where the helm needs to be based on screenshots so ✌️
Crows nests are definitely access via climbing nets
Please absolutely feel free to use this as a reference for fanfictions, but I'd appreciate a shout out if you do 💖

The AD-5N ‘Skyraider’ and Its Little-Known Nuclear Role in the Cold War
David Cenciotti
AD-5N
In late 1958, during heightened tensions in the Taiwan Strait, Skyraider pilots were prepped for nuclear strike missions. They spent tense hours at night, seated in their aircraft and ready for catapult launch with nuke bombs, before the mission was ultimately called off…
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider, also known as the “Spad,” was a legendary single-engine aircraft, as well as the last propeller U.S. Navy attack aircraft to disappear from the decks of the Navy’s aircraft carriers.
In late 1958, during heightened tensions in the Taiwan Strait, Skyraider pilots were prepped for nuclear strike missions. They spent tense hours at night, seated in their aircraft and ready for catapult launch with nuke bombs, before the mission was ultimately called off…Nuclear attack Skyraider
Renowned for its rugged design and long endurance, the Skyraider had an exceptional payload capacity: even when it carried its full internal fuel of 2,280 pounds, a 2,200-lb torpedo, two 2,000-lb bombs, 12,5 inch rockets, two 20 mm guns and 240 pounds of ammunition, the Skyraider was still under its maximum gross weight of 25,000 pounds.
Conceived during World War II, the Skyraider saw extensive service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, excelling in close air support, search and rescue, and interdiction roles. However, its ability to carry a diverse array of munitions, including conventional bombs, rockets, and even torpedoes, made it a versatile platform.

Among its variants, the AD-5N was a specialized version of the Skyraider, featuring a widened fuselage to accommodate a crew of four and advanced avionics for precision operations in challenging conditions.
Nuclear attack Skyraider
At the end of the 1950s, pilots of VA(AW)-33 flew AD-5N aircraft off the USS Essex, primarily training for nuclear strike missions. They specialized in low-level, long-range operations, using tech like the Bureau of Ordnance Atomic Rocket (BOAR) rocket and the Low Altitude Bombing System (LABS) bombing system.
Flying just 50 feet above water or skimming treetops on land, missions were top-secret, with each pilot assigned a unique target. Crews of three or four included electronics techs, practicing whenever budget allowed, both in the U.S. and Europe. Real missions were essentially one-way, though their rocket-powered weapon offered a slight survival edge.

Stephen Miller is a retired electrical engineer, lifelong aviator who spent some time as a Naval Aviator. After flight training, he was assigned to VA(AW)33 in Atlantic City, NJ, flying AD-5N. Here’s what he wrote to us about his time flying the low level long range nuclear weapon delivery mission with the Skyraider.
I joined the Navy right after graduating from Miami of Ohio with a BS in business and was just a few hours short of a commercial certificate at that time. After flight training, I was assigned to VA(AW)33 flying AD-5N in 1956.
In 1957-1958 various detachments consisting of four aircraft were assigned to their respective carriers and were involved in the attendant cruises from time to time. Ours was the USS ESSEX, CVA9. This was strictly during the cold war, between the Korean war and Vietnam.
Our primary mission was low level long range nuclear weapon delivery. This consisted of 50 ft over water and about 150 ft over land (treetop level). All navigation was done using pilotage/dead reckoning and was practised both here and in Europe. There were no radars at that time that could detect a low flying aircraft, due to ground clutter. Our long range cruise airspeed was 160 kts and we’d wait for the engine to sputter before switching back from an empty drop tank to the main. We typically used one or two crewmen to help with the navigation, the same guys (ET’s, Electronic Technicians) who maintained the equipment.
We also had a ground mapping radar, the APS-31, a pod-mounted wing unit.
In mid 1957 we attended a special weapons school in Norfolk VA which covered the operation of the weapon, the Bureau of Ordnance Atomic Rocket (BOAR) and the Low Altitude Bombing System (LABS). They had a working BOAR in the classroom, minus the warhead and we learned how to connect and use the test box to check it out. I was scheduled to make a test run to a simulated target with a live BOAR which had the 1000 lbs of HE (high explosive) used to detonate the nuclear core, but without the core installed. This was ultimately cancelled, but the exercise proceeded without employing the BOAR.
The delivery sequence worked as follows: The LABS contained a timer, accelerometer and a precise gyro heading reference. Just before reaching the IP (initial position for starting the final run toward the release point), the aircraft had to be at max speed (about 240 kts), full or “military” power, limited to five minutes, on heading and maintaining a stable treetop altitude, with the weapon armed.
Upon passing the IP a button on the stick was pressed and the timer would start for the 2-3 minute run. Simultaneously, the vertical nav indicator normally used for VOR/TACAN/ILS LOCALIZER was switched to provide the precise heading reference. At the same time a short panel light and headset tone were activated as well.
When the timer ran out, another short light/tone indicated the aircraft had reached the point to start the launch maneuver. The pilot would then pull and hold the trigger while pulling the nose up in a precise manner using the accelerometer. The horizontal nav indicator normally used for the ILS GLIDESLOPE would switch to this function and initially drop down; it was up to the pilot to raise the nose smoothly to bring the indicator to the center (horizontal) position. This would insure the right amount of “g’s” to produce the desired weapon trajectory upon release, which was automatic when the release attitude was reached.
The BOAR was blown away from the aircraft by the equivalent of four shotgun shells and had a pigtail attached to the airframe which would stretch out and then pull out of the back of the weapon, starting the rocket motor. This weapon had a top speed in the 400kt range and covered a distance of about 7.5 miles.
At this point the AD-5N was entering the initial entry into a loop but was too slow to make it over the top, requiring a wing over to end the maneuver, pickup speed and reverse direction. This was a modified version of a maneuver called a “half Cuban 8”, in this case known as the “idiot loop”.
For propeller driven aircraft the completion of the loop was only possible by a more capable airplane like the single seat AD6, for example. Use of a rocket powered weapon would allow the aircraft to escape the blast zone but the enormous shock wave would have unpredictable results. Some nuclear weapons were unpowered bombs, such that no escape from the blast was possible if delivered in this manner by a propeller driven aircraft. No one was expected back from these missions. Fortunately it never became necessary.
On a Mediterranean cruise during the 1957-58 period we did have a night drill to get a live BOAR ready for launch, but that’s as far as it went, at least for our squadron. At one point we were each assigned top secret targets following background checks for this purpose. These targets were planned and the charts supplied by some unknown source, at least to us, and the zig-zag routes highlighted as well. My best guess is this came from the Pentagon. They were kept in a locked safe with individual combinations. We were required to study our respective routes in our spare time and no one knew what anyone else’s target was. These were strictly visual day missions, though we would probably launch at night in time to reach the beach by daylight. We did have the advantage of radar assist, at least to pick out prominent features like lakes/rivers etc, as well as crewmen to help look for check points. The biggest problem we faced was the fact that the charts over enemy territory were known to contain errors. This only added to the difficulty of attempting to navigate using pilotage/dead reckoning at treetop level in the first place!
In late 1958 during the Quemoy/Matsu island crisis, we were in that area and a friend of mine was there as well with a Pacific fleet squadron flying AD6’s. He sat for two hours on a dark night in his aircraft, hooked up to the catapult, ready to launch with a nuke until they finally called it off. I doubt that this is widely known. That nuclear bomb was a Mark 7 unpowered device. It was a standard nuclear bomb of that time, the yield determined by the size of the nuclear core. A typical mid range core was 18-22 kilotons, about the same as the one dropped on Nagasaki.
Other Navy/Air Force squadrons flying various types of aircraft (primarily jets) had other delivery methods as well. This was our particular experience.

LTJG Miller (via Stephen Miller)
After his tour as a naval aviator Stephen spent a few years in aviation doing charter and flight instructor work flying all the usual single/multi engine aircraft, a stint with Mohawk Airlines flying Convair 240/440 aircraft and ultimately had his own business as an FBO.
I eventually left the aviation industry to pursue a degree in electrical engineering, though I continued flying part time, graduating from Umass Dartmouth in 1967. My career as an engineer subsequently encompassed working for a variety of employers in both design and management, commercial and military and for both large and small firms. My duties often included serving as company pilot as well. One such firm was an autopilot manufacturer which introduced me to that particular industry as well.
In later life I spent some time with the CAP, but now at age 90 I haven’t been current for about 20 years. Hopefully, the information I’ve submitted will be of some historical value to those interested in the Cold War period of the 1950s.

One More
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mech swiveled its head quickly to the threat, narrowly dodging the incoming barrage of sharp lead with the intention to end its pilot’s struggling. The red hot thrusters screamed to life as an orange glow emanated from them, pushing the kilotons of metal through the water around the watch point. One more. One more. One more. Spark’s mutterings to itself was a chant, a plea, a mantra, a cry. She flipped a button which rocketed her mech towards the enemy mech, two makeshift shotguns that were only makeshift in creation, but just as deadly as a real one. Spark’s mech then yanked upwards towards the stars in the sky as it re-orientated itself to face the enemy mech. Laser wave missile launchers whirred to life as it finished its reloading process. Spark’s user interface beeped as a notification turned from red to green. Now. One more. The laser wave missiles launched, a flurry of beautiful light that could cleave an unaware mech into two. The enemy mech was no slouch though, they were among the pantheon of pilots that had a shot to graduate to S tier. The only obstacle was Spark. And Spark’s only obstacle to A tier was this enemy mech. Such is the life of a competitor in the Nest Program. The enemy mech blasted to the left with blue roaring jet engines propelling the enemy away from the missiles. Water splashed into the air around the robot as it began to make evasive maneuvers. They were skilled, Spark would admit that much. But not that skilled. The payload of lasers found their mark, staggering the enemy mech letting gravity do the work to tumble it into the mud. One more. Spark jetted forward, laser pistols warming up in the mech’s hands as it approached its target. One more. The mech, Doll’s Truth, raised the pistols and began to rapidly fire blue lasers at the downed mech. The damage quickly began to stack up, pieces of the enemy mech becoming hot shrapnel as it was torn apart by Spark’s barrage. One more. Spark’s user interface pinged green again as the laser wave missiles were reloaded with another satisfying kachunk sound. One more. The command center was busy and bustling as it always has been. Brown soda stains littered the galaxy themed carpet, crowds of people were watching their favorites fall in battle or steal victory on giant monitors that hung from the ceiling. And beneath the command center was a different type of busy. There was those who entered the Nest Program to prove themselves, to label themselves as the best pilot, first by self reflection then by ranking. Then there are those who wished to create mechs as a recreational activity. A train model with use and purpose that others could enjoy with you. To feel the power of a kiloton metal vehicle blast around corners and fire payloads of death to a desired spot was something unmatched. Then there’s Spark. Recreation turned into drive, which turned into its Purpose. A doll needed one. A Purpose. Immortal beings that didn’t deserve happiness, but still desired it. A Purpose could deliver that, even if only briefly.
Spark’s mech rocketed into the garages under the floating citadel of that was the command center, a place of operation for the Nest Program. Their garage unit for post fight debriefing was A10. Spark set up a nav point, making an exaggerated sigh when the reception got spotty delaying the instruction to come through quick enough for Spark’s taste. Spark’s mech was the victor in its last promotion fight, the one to raise to A Rank. Where pilots were deadly and only the best of the best stuck around to see it through to the end. As Spark’s mech entered the space, Spark could see some figures on the disembark platform standing where Spark would park its mech. In the other space of the garage hung a torn apart mech, Spark’s opponent. Spark felt a bit bad, but it easily could have been the reverse. The unsaid mutual agreement that destruction was the price for that swelling feeling of victory. The cockpit depressurized, Spark’s user interface beeping through its processes. Spark didn’t need to breathe due to the benefits of being a combat doll, but getting hit with twenty two units cubed of vacuum wasn’t at the top of Spark’s to do list either. With the sound of rubber deflating, the seal of the cockpit breaking, Spark helped the door push open, further ruining the hydraulics of the automatic process. A lady dressed in a business suit held a clip board didn’t notice Spark approach her. She was writing something down when her eyes twinkled with recognition, hearing Spark’s steps. “Pilot Combat Doll, Spark. Mech name, Doll’s Truth. You have promoted to A Rank, sign here,” The lady didn’t bother explaining it to Spark. The doll already knew the run down. Each rank had their own legal team and requiring acknowledgment for your inability to sue them in case any physical harm to your being was always required for each team. Spark almost signed Sicilia’s name from habit. The fighter has been up front for a while, it was only a whim that thrusted Spark back into the world of mech fighting. Spark signed its name and gave the pen back to the woman. The woman took out a neatly closed envelop with a clean wax stamp keeping it tightly shut. “Congratulations Combat Doll, Spark. We look forward to see your progress,” The woman’s tone was professional and light. She has probably said those same words thousands, if not millions of times. Wait. That can’t be right. Not millions. A Rank was hard to get into. There was no forgiveness for a lose streak. You could be sent back to the bottom of B Rank if got careless. No. This was genuine. Spark bowed its head to the woman, “The pleasure is mine,” The woman nodded at Spark and handed the doll the envelope. Without another word, the woman pivoted on her toes and walked away, loud steps as heels met metal floors. Spark opened up the envelope and saw something it knew was coming but still never expected. An unassuming red and black ribbon with a large crimson A at the top of it. A small tag attached explaining the purpose of the ribbon. “For achieving A Rank in Ranked Single”. Spark’s Purpose planted a smile across Spark’s lips, the fulfilling feeling of progress. But the Purpose quickly reminded its doll of what the truth was. “S Rank. Give it more,”

Flying Together Miles Morales
nav // marvel m.list // ko-fi
✧.* word count: 3.3k ✧.* genre: Fluff ✧.* warnings: the reader is an aerialist so is assumed to be physically fit, but otherwise they are completely neutral
Miles finally realised how brave you truly were to be part of a circus troupe as an aerialist
This is heavily self-indulgent because I'm also an aerialist (mainly with lyra and silks) who desperately want to be able to do flying trapeze sometime in the future :')
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"You do this without a safety net?!" Miles looked around as he walked into the gym space. All starry-eyed, he looked at the many aerialist training on their different apparatuses.
“Well, the flying trapeze people get a foam pit, mostly because of space reasons.” You explained as you pointed over towards the specific area where a foam pit lay, on either side of the foam pit was a tower where people would climb and then perform their act.
You couldn’t help but grin ear to ear as you watched Miles look around your space. The circus gym was like your second home at this point with how much time you’ve spent. So having him finally visit the space and meet all your teammates excited you.
Miles looked about the space, it was built similarly to a gymnastic gymnasium. Though instead of the normal gymnastic apparatuses, everywhere he looked were gears for different kinds of circus acts.
“Have you done all these?” He asked with so much admiration in his eyes that you couldn’t help but feel slightly flustered.
“Not really,” you chuckled diverting your gaze from your boyfriend, “I’m an aerialist so I mostly stick to the aerial stuff. Y’know, like aerial hoop, aerial silks, static and flying trapeze oh but I’m also learning-”
As you continued explaining, Miles listened to you intently. After all, it wasn’t every day he got to see you so passionate about something. He nodded along with what you were saying, not really understanding everything as you had now started to explain the semantics of being up in the air. He didn’t realise how complicated it was to actually be upside down until now, he just does it. Nothing happens thanks to his spider powers.
But when it comes to you, you had to remember to breathe, remember not to be there for too long, and remember to engage your muscles lest you want to accidentally pull something. All of it became second nature to you once you got used to it. Though with him, all of it was second nature the moment he did it. He wondered if any of the other spider-people had to deal with the issues you talked about.
Right as you started explaining about flying trapeze and your role in the performance your troupe was about to do very soon, one of your teammates called out to you.
“Oh shit, I have to go, you can watch me practice if you want?” You shrugged off your jacket as you started your stretches.
“Yeah, that’s cool.” He shrugged making his way over to the many benches on the side of the gym.
Miles started to actually pay attention to the people around him the moment he sat down.
There was someone in the aerial hoop apparatus teaching a student of theirs how to grip the hoop properly. Another person just got down from performing some flips on the silks only to groan at his burning hands, their spotters chuckling as they scolded him for not doing enough warmups. The final person he observed was you. You had just climbed up to the tower to get started on some flying trapeze routines.
His eyes widened the moment he saw you confidently take off, your hands gripping the bar as your body swung by. He saw the large smile on your face as your core tightened to force your body to swing backwards and land back on the tower platform.
You turned to speak something with your teammates, motioning to your hands before looking towards Miles and beaming him with a large smile all before jumping off again. At that moment he felt all the love he had for you rush to him like a crashing wave. Unbeknownst to you, he swung himself from building to building every single day. All with the knowledge that if he ever misstep, he had his healing factor, his inhuman strength, and his webs to catch him.
But with you, every time you jump off that platform and you take off into the open air of the circus gymnasium, there’s nothing there to catch you if things went wrong. Only something to cushion your fall. Yet, you still do it, all with a massive grin on your face as you flipped around and a teammate catches you.
He knows he isn’t special to be able to do what he does, there are thousands of spider-people out there doing the exact thing he did. Yet, when he looked around, seeing these truly fearless people put their trust into their hard work and muscles. When at any time they could fall, and those who didn’t do the trapeze, break a bone or injure themselves badly. He didn’t know how they could do it.
Throughout the rest of your practice time, he had a warm feeling in his chest.
~
When you finished, Miles insisted on walking you home. Joking about how it was the gentlemanly thing to do, to which you only responded by bumping his elbow. Stating how adorable he was when he tried to be chivalrous. Through the laughter and jokes, he finally asked you the question he had been dying to ask you ever since he saw you in action.
“Do you not get scared?” You smiled at his question.
“I used to, I still sometimes do, but whenever I do I just think about the fact that there’s this person out there who does exactly what I do but without the fixed routines and spaces I’m given.” You looked down at your feet as you explained, “When I think about it that way, I forget about being scared.”
Miles felt his chest tighten at your explanation. He knows you’re talking about Spiderman and the fact that his existence could make you feel that way makes him feel things. Though through the silence and wide eyes, he realised he needed to act normal about your statement. Quick, what would Miles who wasn’t Spiderman say to you at this moment?!
“Didn’t know you were such a fan.” He mumbled awkwardly after clearing his throat.
Shoving his hands in his pockets in an attempt to act casual. You rolled your eyes at his statement, lightly nudging his side.
“I just think he’s pretty cool, that’s all.” Now Miles' eyes were wide open.
“Really?” he elongated the y in the word.
“Yeah, I mean he swings around and fights crime, who wouldn’t think he’s cool? Also, he does tricks in the air too! A lot of my teammates tried to do some of the tricks, they don’t do it as well though.”
“Well, I mean, he has powers, so I think his tricks are harder for normal people to do.” Miles rambled. “He also got his webs that lets him go anywhere, you don’t got that in trapeze or any of the other things there.” He explained.
You nodded along with him, “I guess you’re right.” Miles couldn’t really pinpoint why, but he must’ve said something wrong as your expression fell slightly the moment he stopped talking.
Before he could correct himself and lighten up the mood again, the two of you had reached the front of your flat. You both said your goodbyes, but the moment you got to your door you looked back to Miles.
“You’re coming to my performance on Saturday, right?” You asked hesitantly.
Miles nodded excitedly, “Of course I will.”
His simple response made a bright smile creep its way to your face.
“Alright, cause,” you hesitated, wondering if you should say it. “I based my routine off of you.”
Before he could respond anything you opened the door to your flat and run in. Ignoring the fact that Miles stood there like a baby deer in headlights, shocked and speechless. Of course, all before a love-sick grin made its way to his face. He’s definitely looking forward to Saturday.
~
When Saturday did come, you looked out the curtains when the first act had just finished to find that Miles wasn’t anywhere in the crowd. Your lips tightened into a thin line at the thought of Miles not making it to your big performance but you brushed it aside. He must just be late.
So, you toughened it out. There was still around an hour before your act, the final act. You wouldn’t be the sole flyer of the act, but you’d be the centre of everyone’s attention considering yours would be the furthest ones.
You just hoped Miles was here to see it.
To no knowledge of yours, Miles was currently trying to swing his fastest towards the location of your performance. He had decided to take up some daytime patrolling today, considering how he wouldn’t be able to do any of it at night due to being with you. But then he got way too caught up and one thing led to another, so now he was late.
As he swung around the city he passed by a street he frequented, a guy whose been watching him from across the block yelled out to him, phone in hand.
“Do a trick!”
With a chuckle and, to be honest, for his ego, knowing it’ll be posted. He flew himself off his web and spun his body around in the air before webbing himself up from the ground before he could fall. The people around him cheered at him as he chuckled and quickly swung away in your direction.
~
The time was nearing even more, the act right before your show had just wrapped up. You still hadn’t seen Miles around the audience.
“Hey,” one of your catchers tapped your shoulders seeing how anxious you were getting, “He’ll show, don’t worry too much about it.” They spoke right before it was their turn to go up to the rig.
You shook your head and gritted your teeth. They were right, Miles will show up, he knows how important this is to you. So, with a deep breath, you prepared yourself mentally for your performance.
As the song started to play, you walked out with a bright smile. The crowd goes wild as the lights blared in your direction, blinding your view of the crowd. When the beat quickened you knew it was time for you to climb the trapeze rig and begin the tricks portion of your act.
Your quickening heartbeat deafened your ears as you best to strain them to listen to the music beats through the loud noises of the crowd’s cheers.
Though you didn’t see it, Miles had made it just in time. He realised he was extremely late, but knowing that your act was the final one he figured he’d still come in time to see your act. But because at this point all the seats were taken up, he stayed near the entrance of the show stage and watched from the corner.
Miles mumbled your name under his breath when he saw the way you looked. You looked ravishing, your face caked with stage makeup and a shiny costume. Despite how far away you were from where he was watching his senses let him see you much closer than anyone else.
He cemented the way you looked in his memory, wanting to sketch this in his book later on. But just as you were getting to the last hold to get up to your rig, your hand missed the hold. Almost on instinct, Miles readied to lunge forward his costume still underneath his civilian outfit. But, one of your teammates grabbed a hold of your hand and pulled you up.
He saw the way your expression fell from the careless mistake. Why were you so nervous? Your head slightly turned towards the audience and he realised why you were nervous. You were looking for him. Miles immediately beat himself up for it, but he stepped forward a little towards the light. Hoping you would catch his eyes.
You scanned the room a couple of times, your heart dropping at every second you didn’t see your boyfriend. But finally, your eyes met his, and just like that, all the anxious energy in your heart dissipated.
“You got this.” Miles mouthed towards you.
He knew you probably wouldn’t be able to see it, not with all the bright spotlight in your eyes. But from the way your eyes lit up and your smile got even larger, he realised it didn’t matter what he said to you. The fact that he was there at all was enough.
Funny, he thought to himself. After all, the fact that you were there with him, despite not knowing the secrets he withheld from you, was also enough for him.
With your confidence boosted you performed.
Along with the music and the practised routine of your teammates, all of you performed with pizzazz. Miles watched and cheered along with the audience. Yelling slightly louder than the people around him more than once.
When your final move came, you took a deep breath. You had only successfully tried this trick once, amongst the countless times you had practised it. You knew it was possible, after all, it is an official move. But no one else in your gym had been able to get it right.
You wanted to get it right.
You had to.
After all, your choreo was dedicated to Miles Morales. You needed to hit this trick.
Opening your eyes wide, you let the wind catch you as you leapt off the platform. The wind against your skin, your mind focused on the next things you had to do. For a moment, time slowed down.
You could feel your palms burning from all the tricks you’ve been doing. You could feel the sheen of sweat and the way your stage makeup refused to melt off. You could hear the way the crowd’s breath hitched at the final trick. You had to make it. You will make it.
Swinging ones to the front you pulled your body back for the momentum. When your body was high enough you immediately threw yourself forward, propelling yourself to the sky right at the moment you see the catcher in front of you leap from her own platform.
The moment you let go of your bar you willed your body to stand in the air as your hands folded in front of your chest and you forced yourself to twist upon itself. Spinning mid-air, a full twisting double.
Miles' eyes blew wide the moment you landed the trick, as you fell to the ground your catcher immediately took your hands in theirs and flung you to the other platform as crowds cheered. He stood there, frozen.
That was Spiderman’s trick. You landed Spiderman’s trick.
When the realisation hit him, he erupted into cheers. His own applauses were drowned out by the crowd but as he watched you take your bow he realised you were just looking at him.
After your bows, you ran backstage and Miles followed.
Behind the stage, acrobats and aerialists were already taking off their greasy makeup. Congratulating and hugging everyone they come across with tears in their eyes. Months of work and training have finally come to a close. And the show was a hit.
Throughout the rush of people congratulating you for your success, you weaved around from them. Of course, you expressed your gratitude, but you needed to see someone else right now.
Miles embraced you the moment he saw you. Not caring about your sweaty body or your stage makeup, not even your chalky hands that definitely left an imprint on his clothes. He only wanted to hold you right now.
“You were incredible!” He enunciated every word, a bright smile on his face as he continuously cheered for you. “I’m sorry I wasn’t here from the start but the way all of you were just flying in the air! And that trick you did halfway through where you flipped mid-air?! How’d you do that?!”
Miles wouldn’t stop talking as he kept complimenting your performance.
“I’m just going to change and take all of this off real quick, wait for me?” Miles nodded enthusiastically.
“Well, duh.” You chuckled before going to the dressing room to change.
~
When you got back to Miles he was already ready to walk you home. The way back home was quiet, mainly because the adrenaline within the two of you finally ran its course. What was left was exhaustion on your part and a busy mind trying to process everything that just happened on Miles’ part.
Because he was doing all of that, one moment stuck out to him. The last move, the last trick, was supposed to be the most special trick. It was the closing move and if your choreography was dedicated to him, why did you do Spiderman’s trick?
“Hey, what was that last trick you did?” Miles started. With the way your eyes lit up, he realised you were waiting for him to realise.
“It’s a full-twisting double.” You smiled.
“Oh- huh- guess you gotta sneak a move for Spiderman in there? Right?” he joked.
Though his heart stopped when you stopped walking. Miles turned around to find you staring at him.
“Is something wrong?” he started, slowly getting antsy.
“Miles,” you spoke, “You know you’re not good at hiding it, right?” His mind ran a thousand different scenarios. Though it landed on one.
“Pshhh, what? What are you talking about?” He shrugged, averting his gaze from you.
“That wasn’t for Spiderman, that was for you, Miles Morales, my Spiderman.” You stepped closer towards him.
“What?! Spiderman? Oh you mean like, you idolise me and stuff. I don’t know nothing about Spiderman.” He rambled on as took step after step closer to him. “I don’t know what you’re talking about-”
To cut him off, you pulled him in for a kiss. Both your lips crash into one another in an unsynchronised manner. Miles let himself be shushed in favour of your affection. When you did pull away, he chased after you, causing you to slightly chuckle.
With the way, you looked at him, all doe-eyed and in love. He couldn’t help but admit it.
“How’d you find out though?” He said with a lop-sided grin.
“Well,” And then you began explaining. It started with the inconsistencies.
There were times when he’d disappear and you’d ask him where he went off to only for him to tell one story and then tell a completely different one the next time you asked him. At first, you thought he was hiding something else, but then other things started happening.
The biggest one was the first time you showed off one of your tricks to him on video and his reaction, safe to say wasn’t like most people.
“What if I was just some guy who wasn’t easily impressed?!” Miles argued.
“Nope! That’s not it! You started talking to me about the physics of it and like the momentum and stuff. Something only someone who has done it would know about! That alone wouldn’t have been suspicious but c’mon with all the other stuff?! It was just a matter of time before when I’d get it!”
Miles groaned while his head hung long. Though not long after he smiled.
“Guess I didn’t have to worry about anything at all huh?” You shook your head at his response.
It was true, he shouldn’t have worried about telling you his secret. You would’ve figured it out either way, but there was no harm in telling you. The most it would change was you’d be much more understanding now and he wouldn’t have to lie to you so much.
A comfortable silence slipped between the two of you as you made the final stretch towards your home. A silence that was broken by your voice.
“So, could you train with me with your webs when I can’t go to the gym?”
“No.”

Mastering Elementor: A Comprehensive Guide to UI/UX Design for Web and Mobile Apps
As web and mobile applications continue to dominate the digital space, the role of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design becomes more critical than ever. Designing intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive interfaces is essential for driving user engagement, retention, and conversion. Elementor, one of the most popular WordPress page builders, has become a go-to tool for UI/UX designers who want to create highly functional and aesthetically pleasing web pages without writing a single line of code.
Whether you're building a web app, a mobile-friendly landing page, or a full-blown e-commerce platform, mastering Elementor is key to delivering a seamless user experience across devices. This guide will take you through the essential aspects of UI/UX design with Elementor, providing you with practical tips for optimizing your design for both web and mobile users.
1. Understanding the Power of Elementor for UI/UX Design
Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder that allows designers to create pixel-perfect websites and mobile apps without the need for coding. It offers a wide range of widgets, templates, and design options, making it incredibly versatile for UI/UX design across different industries and projects.
With Elementor, designers can:
Build responsive websites and mobile apps with ease.
Customize every element, from fonts and colors to layouts and animations.
Create reusable design elements for consistent UI patterns.
Preview designs in real-time for both web and mobile views.
2. Responsive Design: Adapting Your UI for Web and Mobile
One of the most important aspects of modern UI/UX design is ensuring that your app or website looks and functions well on all devices. With Elementor, you can easily adjust your design for responsiveness, ensuring that your web app transitions smoothly to mobile.
Using Elementor's Responsive Editing Tools
Elementor’s responsive editing features allow you to design for web and mobile within the same interface. You can preview how your design will look on different devices, and make adjustments as needed.
Key features for responsive design include:
Mobile-First Approach: Elementor allows you to design specifically for mobile devices, ensuring your content is optimized for smaller screens.
Visibility Controls: You can choose to hide or display specific elements based on the device, ensuring that your mobile design is streamlined and clutter-free.
Custom Breakpoints: Elementor lets you create custom breakpoints for tablets, desktops, and mobile devices, allowing for precise control over how your design responds to different screen sizes.
Fluid Grids and Flexible Layouts
Using Elementor’s section and column system, you can create fluid grids that adapt to different screen sizes. This flexibility ensures that your design remains visually consistent across all devices without breaking the layout.
Best practices for responsive design include:
Use fluid grids to ensure elements resize smoothly.
Avoid using fixed pixel dimensions for padding and margins.
Test your design on various screen sizes to ensure a seamless experience.
3. Designing for Web Apps: Key UI/UX Considerations
When designing for web apps using Elementor, you need to focus on creating a user-friendly interface that simplifies interactions and enhances the user journey. Key considerations include navigation, usability, and interactivity.
Navigation Design
Navigation is one of the most important components of web app design. Whether it’s a horizontal menu, a sidebar, or a collapsible navigation, your goal is to make it easy for users to find what they need.
Best practices for navigation design:
Use clear, descriptive labels for menu items.
Keep the navigation simple, with minimal options.
Ensure the navigation is sticky (remains visible as users scroll) for ease of access.
In Elementor, you can create custom menus with the Nav Menu widget and style them according to your brand’s guidelines. You can also use dropdowns, hover effects, and icons to enhance usability.
Interactivity with Elementor’s Widgets
Interactive elements like buttons, sliders, and forms are essential for improving user engagement in web apps. Elementor offers a variety of widgets, including Button widgets, Contact Forms, and Image Carousels, which can be customized to create dynamic, user-friendly web apps.
Best practices for interactivity:
Use hover animations to indicate clickable elements.
Ensure buttons are large enough for easy clicking, especially on mobile devices.
Add form validation to enhance user experience and minimize errors.
4. Designing for Mobile Apps: Optimizing the Mobile UX
Mobile apps come with their own set of challenges, and ensuring a smooth, fast, and engaging mobile experience is key to success. Elementor makes mobile design easier by providing intuitive features that allow designers to fine-tune the mobile experience separately from desktop.
Simplify the User Interface
Mobile users have limited screen space, so it’s essential to simplify the UI and focus on the most important elements. With Elementor, you can hide unnecessary sections, change font sizes, and adjust padding specifically for mobile.
Key tips for mobile UI:
Keep content concise and focused on the user’s immediate needs.
Use a single-column layout to improve readability and ease of navigation.
Ensure buttons and clickable elements are touch-friendly (at least 44x44 pixels).
Mobile-Optimized Forms
Forms are often an essential part of mobile apps, whether they’re used for sign-ups, lead generation, or surveys. Elementor allows you to create mobile-optimized forms that are easy to fill out, even on smaller screens.
Best practices for mobile forms:
Use fewer fields to avoid overwhelming users.
Use auto-complete and auto-correct to minimize typing effort.
Enable multi-step forms to break down the process into manageable steps.
5. Typography and Color Schemes: Maintaining Consistency Across Devices
Typography and color schemes are key aspects of UI/UX design that can affect both the aesthetic appeal and usability of your web or mobile app. Elementor gives you full control over typography and color settings, allowing you to create a consistent brand identity across devices.
Choosing the Right Fonts
When selecting fonts for your design, readability should be the top priority, especially on mobile. Elementor lets you adjust font sizes, line heights, and letter spacing for different screen sizes, ensuring that your text remains legible on both web and mobile.
Best practices for typography:
Use sans-serif fonts for better readability on screens.
Maintain a minimum font size of 16px on mobile devices.
Ensure there’s sufficient contrast between text and background.
Creating a Consistent Color Palette
Elementor’s Global Colors feature allows you to set a consistent color palette that applies to every element in your design. This ensures a cohesive visual experience across all pages and devices.
Best practices for color schemes:
Use a limited color palette (2-4 colors) to maintain focus and avoid overwhelming users.
Ensure color contrast meets accessibility standards for users with visual impairments.
Use color strategically to draw attention to important elements, such as CTAs and navigation links.
6. Advanced Features: Animation and Motion Design
Elementor’s animation features allow you to add dynamic elements to your design, improving user engagement and guiding users through the app experience. From hover effects to parallax scrolling, animation can add an extra layer of interactivity when used thoughtfully.
Best practices for animations:
Use animations sparingly to avoid distracting users.
Ensure that animations are smooth and don’t affect the performance of the app.
Use motion to guide users toward important elements, such as CTAs or form submissions.
7. Testing and Optimization: Ensuring a Seamless Experience
Once your design is complete, it’s essential to test it across multiple devices and browsers to ensure a consistent user experience. Elementor allows you to preview your design in real-time and make adjustments based on the device.
Best practices for testing:
Use Elementor’s responsive preview to check how the design adapts across devices.
Test the functionality of forms, buttons, and other interactive elements on both web and mobile.
Conduct A/B testing to determine which design elements contribute to higher conversion rates.
8. Conclusion:
Elementor is a powerful tool that simplifies the process of creating high-quality, responsive web and mobile apps. By leveraging its design flexibility and mobile-first capabilities, you can create stunning interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience across devices.
Whether you’re a seasoned designer or just starting out, Elementor’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface, coupled with its advanced features, makes it easier than ever to master UI/UX design for web and mobile apps. Focus on creating a user-centric design, optimize for responsiveness, and continuously test and refine your work to ensure long-term success.
With Elementor, you can truly bring your design visions to life and build apps that not only look good but also deliver seamless, engaging, and intuitive user experiences.

The Impact of Social Media Advertising on Navi Mumbai’s Retail Sector
Tumblr media
Navi Mumbai, a rapidly developing urban area adjacent to Mumbai, has seen significant growth in its retail sector over the past decade. This expansion has been fueled by an increasing population, rising disposable incomes, and a burgeoning middle class. As competition among retailers intensifies, businesses are increasingly turning to digital strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Social media advertising, in particular, has emerged as a powerful tool for retailers in Navi Mumbai. This blog explores the impact of social media advertising on the city’s retail sector and how businesses are leveraging it to drive growth and customer engagement.
1. Enhancing Brand Visibility
In a crowded retail market like Navi Mumbai, establishing brand visibility is crucial for success. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter offer retailers the opportunity to reach a wide audience at relatively low costs. By utilizing targeted advertising, retailers can ensure that their ads are seen by the right people—those most likely to be interested in their products. This targeted approach not only increases brand awareness but also drives traffic to physical stores and online platforms.
For example, a local fashion retailer in Navi Mumbai can use Instagram ads to showcase their latest collection to a younger, fashion-conscious demographic. By using eye-catching visuals and engaging captions, they can capture the attention of potential customers and encourage them to visit their store or website.
2. Driving Customer Engagement
social media marketing in navi mumbai is not just about visibility; it’s also about interaction. Unlike traditional forms of advertising, social media allows for two-way communication between brands and consumers. Retailers in Navi Mumbai can use social media to engage with their customers in real-time, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and building relationships.
For instance, a grocery store in Navi Mumbai could run a Facebook campaign promoting a special offer on organic products. Through the comments section, they can interact with customers who have questions about the products, recommend additional items, or provide tips on healthy eating. This level of engagement helps to build trust and loyalty among customers, encouraging repeat business.
3. Boosting Sales with Targeted Campaigns
One of the most significant advantages of social media marketing in navi mumbai is the ability to create highly targeted campaigns. Retailers can tailor their ads based on various factors, including age, gender, location, interests, and online behavior. This precision ensures that marketing efforts are directed toward individuals who are most likely to make a purchase.
For example, a home décor store in Navi Mumbai might use Facebook’s advanced targeting options to advertise a sale on furniture to newlyweds or new homeowners in the area. By reaching out to a specific group with relevant offers, the store can increase the likelihood of converting ads into sales.
4. Increasing Foot Traffic and Online Conversions
social media marketing in navi mumbai has proven to be effective in driving both physical foot traffic and online conversions. With features like geo-targeting, retailers in Navi Mumbai can direct ads to people within a specific radius of their stores, encouraging them to visit in person. Additionally, ads with clear calls-to-action (CTAs) such as “Shop Now” or “Visit Us Today” can lead to higher conversion rates, whether the goal is an online sale or an in-store visit.
A retail electronics store in Navi Mumbai, for instance, could run a location-based Instagram ad campaign highlighting an exclusive in-store discount. This can entice nearby customers to visit the store and take advantage of the offer, thereby boosting foot traffic and sales.
5. Gaining Insights Through Analytics
One of the key benefits of social media marketing in navi mumbai is access to detailed analytics and performance metrics. Retailers can track the effectiveness of their campaigns in real-time, gaining insights into customer behavior, preferences, and engagement levels. This data is invaluable for optimizing future campaigns and making informed business decisions.
For example, a clothing retailer in Navi Mumbai might discover through Facebook analytics that their ads are most effective when targeting women aged 25-34 who are interested in sustainable fashion. Armed with this information, the retailer can refine their marketing strategy to focus on this demographic, increasing the ROI of their advertising efforts.
6. Fostering Community and Brand Loyalty
social media marketing in navi mumbai is also an excellent platform for building a sense of community around a brand. Retailers in Navi Mumbai can use social media to share content that resonates with their audience, such as behind-the-scenes looks at their business, customer testimonials, or stories about their involvement in local events. By creating a narrative that customers can connect with, retailers foster a loyal customer base that is more likely to support their business in the long term.
For example, a local bookstore in Navi Mumbai could share stories about their participation in community literacy programs, or post photos from book signing events with popular authors. This not only strengthens the bond with existing customers but also attracts new ones who share similar values.
Conclusion
The impact of social media marketing in navi mumbairetail sector is profound. From enhancing brand visibility to driving sales and fostering customer loyalty, social media has become an indispensable tool for retailers looking to thrive in a competitive market. As more businesses in Navi Mumbai continue to adopt and refine their social media strategies, the retail landscape will likely see even greater levels of innovation and customer engagement. For retailers in this dynamic city, leveraging the power of social media advertising is not just an option—it’s a necessity for staying ahead in the game.
